Hiya Megs,

Yes, I had not only the good fortune of attending last nights seminar, BUT I was also one of a very few who was blessed with a reading!!! I could feel my heart racing as I watched John stare at my husband. I just knew he was heading our way.

It was amazing. This was the first time I had ever saw John in person. He was WONDERFUL! Just like he is everyday on TV. The reading was amazing. Just validation after validation.

I won't go into to much detail but if there's anyone who would like me too, I would be happy. I'm still on such a high from last night. I've been on the phone all day calling friends and relatives to fill them in. What a night!

Love to all,
Donna :musicnote

Where to start....John approached my husband and said, "I'm coming over here to the guy in the red shirt." I grabbed my husbands leg and listened as Jeff (DH) was handed the microphone. John said, "I'm seeing a retired shield."
My husband handed the microphone to me and said, "This is for her." John was referring to my grandfather. Still here. Retired NJ police Chief.

Right after that is when he spread his arms apart and said, "I've got a woman coming through claiming to be mother/grandmother and she's telling me to say, "Tell everyone I'm here. The queen has arrived." My mother and I started giggling and I let John know that it was my grandmother.
They handed my mother a microphone and then John immediatly said three names...NOT initials. John said I'm bringing through "Walter". My mother validated that's my Grandmothers father. John said, I've also got "Charles". This was Walters brother. John said, I'm also bringing through "Gussy?". My mother blirted out, "Yes, that's also a brother. My mothers Uncle Gus." John said, "She's correcting you. He's not Uncle GUS. She's telling me to say, Uncle GUSSY." Yes, Yes, my mother said. That's what my mother used to call him....Uncle Gussy." AMAZING HUH?

That was just the beginning. John went on to validate "Ann" who Grandma let known that she wasn't thrilled with this "Ann" person. My mother explained that Ann was my Grandfathers, "lady friend." That got a huge laugh from the crowd with John confirming, "well that would explain why your mother is calling her, THE OLDER WOMAN."

John went on to validate my mothers "younger sister". She's got no other siblings and he absolutly got the fact that the only sibling of my mothers was a YOUNGER SISTER.

He stayed with us for about 15 min. so you can imagine all the things I"m leaving out. It would just take to long...BUT...the one thing I could kick myself over is that the last thing John said to us was, "She wants me to talk about THE PRICE IS RIGHT. You know the game show...C'MON DOWN!" My mother blirted out..."Oh, my mother LOVED that show." John said, "Mmmmm, no, no that's not it. It's bigger then the fact that she just "loved" the show."
My husband and I looked at each other and I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING cause I was fearful that I was reaching for a validation but I know that validation was for me. Here's what happened.

Last month my husband and I went on a last min. trip to Conn. to Mohegan Sun. We brought about 400.00 down with us and got to the casino about 9:00pm. We had planned on playing a bit and coming home early the next morning. We lost ALL of our money except for $50.00 by about 1:00am. I was ANNOYED and wanted to go home. We went to the restaurant in the casino and the whole time my husband was bugging me to take a little ride over to Foxwoods. I just wanted to go home but after an entire meal of him bugging me, at 2:30 am we set out for Foxwoods. We walked into the casino, me with a big puss on my face and Jeff said..."pick a macine Donna."
I walked right over to "THE PRICE IS RIGHT MACHINE". Jeff sat down and with a $20.00 bill we won back ALL of our money PLUS another $100.00 or so.

When you win and you're going for the BIG BUCKS the machine yells out..."C'MON DOWN, YOU'RE THE NEXT CONTESTANT ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT."
I'm now convinced that it was Grandma leading my husband to be a non stop pest about going to the second casino and it was Grandma leading me over to that machine. The validation last night about "THE PRICE IS RIGHT" was Grandma's way of telling me "I HELPED YOU WIN YOUR MONEY BACK...SAY THANK YOU TO MEEEEE!!!" LOLOL

That's it for now...just remember even if it sounds crazy to you, VALIDATE, VALIDATE, VALIDATE! My reading stopped after I didn't validate the price is right.

It was the most amazing night and I will never forget it!
THANK YOU JOHN!!!!!!!!!

Yes, It was an unbelievable night! A couple more MAJOR validations was when
John said, "She (Grandma) wants me to talk about the cats." I raised my hand and said..."That's for me." John said..."Of the 3 cats you have (which I never mentioned to him that I had 3) 2 are nice but one is meeeean."

My husband and I started cracking up. 2 of the cats we have are OUR cats, our pets. The third is a stray that I found about 6 weeks ago. She's in bad shape and I've been trying to nurse her back to health so I can adopt her out.
While she's a darling, sweet cat to humans, she's the nastiest cat to our other pets. Every time our 2 cats try to approach her (just to say "hi"), she arches her back, growls, hisses and trys to swat at them. We actually call this cat "mean kitty" so it was sooo funny when John came through with this validation.

Then John said to my mother, "Your mother wants to remind you of the nurse she had in the hospital that you had to bounce out because she wasn't doing a good job taking care of her." My mother said, "That's exactly right." Then John said..."But there were 2 in particular, NANCY AND MARY who did an excellent job taking care of her." My mother vaidated THAT also.

John said, "Your mother wants you to know that she understands that they had to heavily sedate her." My mother responded..."Yes, and at times we thought it was a little to much." John said, "You gotta understand, they HAD to sedate her heavily because she kept pulling out her IV's." ANOTHER VALIDATION!!

My husband wrote down every word that John mentioned. It's a good thing he did too because even though we were talking about our reading for the hour ride back home from Long Island to New Jersey, when I got home and opened up my husbands pad, even though the reading had just happened, there were tons of things I had forgotten.

So, if you ever have the more wonderful opportunity to see John and have a reading, make sure you have someone there with you to write things down.

Thank you all for your kind words and yes, it's good to be back.

Wow :surprise: I was getting chills when I read your posts. I think they should call it psychic reading amnesia ! I felt the same way after I was read. I forgot alot. Thanks to Amy's notes and another person who took notes for us or I would have forgotten alot. You will be walking on air for a while. Enjoy it !
Sandy
(just a little note...... John had asked me if I had my mom's glasses. I was down the basement looking in a suit case that I brought from moms house after she passed and found 2 pairs of glasses. One was my sisters and the other was either mom's or dads. I came up the steps smiling and handed them to hubby who laughed. :laff: )

Oh my gosh! What an incredible experience. It makes me excited just to think about the possibility. But I need to calm myself - no expectations! no expectations! no expectations :laff2:

I hope you can go through your husband's notes and re-create the night for your own satisfaction. It will make excellent reading for your family over the years.

Add anything else as it comes to mind. We really do love hearing about readings.
Even if they aren't ours...

How did the rest of the night go? I am thinking the smaller groups are where John shines best. He can get up close and personal - sort of like a family gathering.

Thanks for sharing and welcome back. We missed ya!!
