Very nicely done site, with Flash, seminar tour dates, books, "this week's connections", discussion board, syndication station search.
Very, very nice site. Check it out!

Pam,
I concede that the site appears to be well constructed. I hit on
the options, and was fine with it until I got to the message board.
Not only did I find it to be the least impressively put together,
making it a bit hard to follow, but what bothered me the most was
it took no time at all to come across the rude, insulting cynics. The
ones that some how justify to themselves spewing not just neg-
ativity (a different viewpoint is not my objection) but down right
hateful insults and critizism.
I'm staying right here. Thanks.
Julie
Hi everyone,
I am in agreement with all of you. Yes Pam, it's ok to look at, but as soon as I entered the message boards I was dissatisfied. The atmosphere again was negative, negative, negative. I think the beauty of our spot is that I feel "safe" to post here. I like the fact that there are several moderators watching for abusive posts and I feel more free to say how I feel. The other boards feel a little "scary" in the sense that anybody can attack at any time. I just don't want to waste what little time I have to view and post on that kind of negative nonsense. Thanks for the heads up , but no thanks!!:p

Looked in on the site Pam.
Has some nifty stuff, and has good ideas. But, the message board was a real downer. I found myselft eager to read the messages (just like here) and then realized it wasn't home. This was out on the old farm with no bathrooms or Tp. Bad experience. I ran right back here.
Thanks, but I like it here a whole lot better.

There are always so many good posts I want to respond to here, but so few minutes I can spend here talking to my friends.
Where to begin. First, a question. What's the difference between the discussion boards here? Maybe a missed a post somewhere, forgive me, but I always wonder if I'm missing something somewhere, should I pick door #1 speaking with the xperts or door #2 open 24 hours? But I end up in the same place, no?
Now I just visited the "new official JE site" and was impressed with the bells and whistles of the page, but the content of the discussion boards is trash. Way too much negativity and ignorance for my taste, and no "moderation". I saw some of the posts from folks here, good for you all but I wouldn't waste my time. Ignore the idiots and they'll go away, eventually. Also, IMHO, having such negativity on the "official" site is counterproductive. After all, isn't the web page there supposed to publicize JE's gift and show in a positive light? If I were his publicist I don't think I'd be too happy about that. And why don't they link to this site, it truly ROCKS!!!
Saying goodbye and change of seasons, can't think of any subtle segway . Here's some deep thoughts from someone who's definitely spent too many hours alone here in the woods. Jack Frost has been nipping at our noses here the past week, reminding us that soon my lovely garden will be dust and under 5 feet of snow. Since this is probably the best garden I've had so far in my life, it is really hard to say goodbye. So many hours I've spent there, meditating, enjoying the songs of the birds and smells and sunny days, all good memories. My daughter has learned her colors there this summer, as well as where her favorite foods come from. And I've made many friends through my garden ventures. Honestly, when that killer frost hits, you may see a tear in my eye.
And when I get bummed I think about next year's garden, hoping the perennials I've planted will come back, thinking up new garden themes and plants I want to try. Will it be as good as this year? Maybe, if the weather is good, maybe not if Mother Nature doesn't cooperate. But you never know until you try.
You never know until you try, and you have to BELIEVE it's possible. If you don't at least plant the seed nothing will grow. Open yourself up to the possiblity it could happen. Those words could be used regarding "faith" in JE and his gift and message OR the garden. Since I've been coming here and also watching JE, my view of the afterlife, has changed. It's just a new beginning, like the killing frost. God gave us memories so we may have roses in December. How I love that quote. :santa:
OK, I'll stop rambling now, just wanted to post so my friends here didn't think I "crossed over"..... and my blood pressure is still up over that :jester: negativity on that other message board.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't stand looking at that crap on USA. I believe it was Randi in cognito. If a person has half a brain and just a touch of intelligence they would never say those awful things. John always comes up very specific information. These are not subjects that come up in the usual audience banter. He frequently tells people things they don't even know until they talk to their family to validate info.

Oh, don't fret. You're no more lost than the rest of us were when we arrived. Be sure and look thru the Everyday Guide to This Forum. There's some helpful hints in there on how to efficiently read this forum.

I think you're referring to the "USA" site? I wouldn't want folks to get the wrong idea. In my mind, the only site that can claim to be the official JE site is www.johnedward.net
Thank you everyone...you're too sweet. And remember, it's not me that gets the thanks, it's all your Friends - all your community members that log on and share in conversation with you.
I keep repeating...I birthed it, but you folks are feeding it :)
And I get the haul out

Well let us see.....from JohnEdward.net:
This website is the only official on-line source of information regarding John Edward, his schedule, tour dates, or other appearances. John and his office make absolutely no representations or endorsements of any web-sites containing information about him, crossing over, or his books.

Well, IMHO I think it's a good site and people there are holding their own on the discussion board. Of course, there really is no place like home.... (((FOJE))) Yardbird

Thanks for the link to the Studio USA site! I like the little synopses of the shows and the pictures of the gallery members to the right.
Message board? I don't see no steenking message board! (wink wink) :lwink:
Just checked out the site and I don't like it! This indeed is home and what a tranquil home it is. That "mad scott" person is so nasty! The people responding to him were great but I do not like the negativity of that board.

I went to the site & looked around. I also looked at the messages & replied to someone whose views differed vastly from my own. Even though I realize you can't change a closed mind, it always makes me feel better to give my opinion... no matter where I am. It also showed me that because of all of you, I prefer being here.

OK..I saw the new site. Really sparkly and neat. BUT....
wheres the love? Too bad, with all they have to work with, they couldn't have done more with it.
And you don't know which show they are referring too. The one in the afternoon, or the SciFi. Naw, if you don't mind Pam, I'll just stay here.

You know, it kinda reminds me of my parent's home, where they had a sitting room where they took politicians and reporters (the good furniture, you know), where us kids and dogs were NOT allowed in, and then the other side of the house the actual living room, where books and toys would be strewn among the dog toys on the furniture and floor. It's nice to have a place like USA Studios' site, but I really want a place where I can flop on the couch with my Diet Dew directly on the coffee table. You feel comfortable here, you know? Yardbird
