... and now I'm going to disappoint you by not posting my notes yet. :P I just got back and am at work, so the posting will have to wait until this evening. Here's a little teaser, though ... the 11th (by my count) and last reading of the night held a little intrigue.

Well o.k. for you.... :P Just be that way then... LOL :D
Can't wait for tonight then. Intrigue? Wow! Any mysteries solved? I love a good mystery.
We will be impatiently waiting for your report. :)
Gee, Carolyn, thanks! Way to keep us all hanging! :stick:
Hope you get off work early today... :lwink:

Yeah, getting off work early when I wasn't there at all yesterday and got in late this morning ... not happening;) .
John jumped right in with the readings after doing his usual spiel about above, below and to the side and the “anybody there can come through, so forget about who you came for”, etc. He also indicated that he wasn’t going to take any questions between readings at the break.
I numbered the readings and because there was a bit of bouncing around, you’ll find me referring to the 5 family or the 9 family etc, so you can see where the overlapping took place.
The room was setup for 210 (yes, I’m a Virgo, I counted --- okay so I multiplied: 3 columns x 7 rows x 10 seats per row), but my guess is there were about 140 there. There was an unusually large number of large groups (8 or more people in a group) so some of the readings got a little confusing as more than 1 father (or sister or mother) came through.
JE’s info is started with a + and the responses with a -
In John’s usual style, he babbled a lot of information and then took each part for the sitter’s reponse. No promises that I got everything!:P
Reading #1
This reading took place on my left (JE’s right) toward the back
+ Male figure to the side/ impact/ Robert
- yes, “Joe” (JE interrupted to say not to give additional info)/ yes/ yes, father
+ 5th month
- yes
+ female figure to the side/ Kathy or Kathleen
- yes, but/ Carleen
+ back pain
- yes
+ adopted mother still here
- yes
+ beginning of December has a meaning for the family birthday or anniversary
- yes
+ Cancer dad?
- yes
+ like a tree root that metastasized?
- yes
+ treated for something else and cancer discovered
- yes
+ he wants you to know he’s with the man who smoked a pipe or weird tobacco
- laughter
+ there’s an Oscar the Grouch reference; either for the name Oscar or for the temperament and a J or G
- yes, the J or G is the grouch who smoked the pipe
+ NBC connection (saw the NBC peacock)
- not able to validate
+ again, NBC (indicating he was seeing Katie Couric and Matt Lauer) he interpreted it to be either 1) someone has an actual connection to NBC or someone who was seen on TV (channel 5 locally) as in an oh, my gosh, there’s so and so
- not validated
At this point JE opened it up for others in that section, near the current sitters to see if anyone could validate it and that will bring us to reading 2.
Thanks, Carolyn! I like your format -- neat and concise -- a very easy read!
Looking forward to Reading 2...
:)

Reading #2
Someone in the same section, asked if it could be CBS. JE was a little skeptical (because the NBC references seemed too specific) and asked if the circumstance were like that he described – the “oh my gosh, there’s so and so.” The sitter said yes, so he brought started in with a bunch of information and then broke it down for validations. As I reviewed the notes, I realized that early in the reading I stopped writing down the “yes” validations, but anytime there was unvalidated information or clarified information, I indicated that., so there’ll be a bunch of +’s with no validations, please understand that that means the information was validated!
+ Anna
- yes
+ Frank/ uncle
- yes
+ Dad passed brought by person’s father (my handwriting is haywire here, but I think that’s what it says; the info was coming very fast at this point)
+ there’s a 2nd or 3rd anniversary
+ son is still here (Dad is acknowledging son)
+ Mom or aunt acknowledged still here
+ 2 connections to his wife
- Mom and second wife
+ a reference to the second wife as being a barracuda
- instead of barracuda, had been referred to as some kind of snake, (I think rattlesnake)
JE acknowledged that the barracuda was his frame of reference, but since the sentiment was the same that validated it
+ dad makes reference to their (Dad & 2nd wife’s) weird relationship of 7 years: 2 were okay, but the other 5 were really bad
+ Mom passed his name (???? I have no idea what this means)
+ Anna/ step grandmother
- stepfather’s mother is Anna
+ Dad acknowledged an older female with him who had fluids build up like pneumonia or congestive heart failure
+ Chemo or radiation therapy
(there was some question about this that I didn’t hear … but he went on to indicate that it wasn’t like OT or PT, but more intense) not acknowledged
+ There’s a move
- I’m not moving
+ Louis or Louise
- oh yeah, just moved to Tampa
+ Miscarriage – baby is there
+ food tube? Was someone talked into a food tube or something like that
- not able to validate
+ P connection and 2 or 3 girls
+ someone is feeling remorse what they did was doing everything possible; move past it (showed the wiping the slate clean symbol)
+ Dad is not very discreet
(long pause while trying to figure out how to say this)
+ He had an affair with his wife’s sister (up to this point it was the daughter who was one validating everything … turns out her mom was with her… no wonder John felt the need to be delicate)
- neither could validate, although mom acknowledged she discovered he was seeing someone (while they were still married) named Brenda; she found a piece of paper with Adnerb written on it with a phone number; when she confronted him he said it was someone at work but she reversed the ADNERB to find BRENDA and called the number and Brenda answered the phone
+ (again some delicate pauses) according to Dad, Mom is not a tough energy
- (disagreement)
+ well according to Dad he says he made you go weak in the knees
- (still no agreement)
+ JE emphasized ACCORDING TO DAD …
And they moved on
+ (another delicate pause, by now the statement that Dad is not very discreet is coming truer all the time) ummm You (Mom) stole the bread?
After a bit of back and forth it turns out John was thinking too literally; when Dad left (or was it Mom?) she asked him for money so she could feed their daughter, he handed her a check and told her to go buy hot dog rolls. She took the check and got the account number and cleaned out his checking account. When he discovered what she did, he called her and asked her what she did to him and she told him she bought hot dog rolls to feed their daughter. The audience got a real kick out of this story and cheered Mom on. So it wasn’t that she stole the bread (as in Wonder – JE’s reference), but as in the “dough” – Dad’s money.
+ St. Patrick’s day reference
- Mom’s dad
+ birthday?
- yes
+ Mom’s dad wasn’t thrilled with hubby – liked him well enough as a person, but not as someone who could/would take care of his daughter
+ a refrigerator kept in the family even though it was broken and couldn’t be used
+ blood clots in the leg (danged if I can read what I wrote after that; it kind of looks like “couner Rocki”)
+ back to Dad he was a very kind person to strangers, but not very good to family (JE’s example was if a colleague called in the middle of the night, stranded on a bridge with a flat tire he’d be there in a flash, but if it was his b-i-l, he’d say, tell him to call Triple A)
And that brings us to the end of reading 2. I hate to do this to you folks, but I think it’s safe to say I won’t get this all done tonight. I was going to try to get through at least to the break (5 readings and questions, but I don’t think it’s going to happen … Reading 1 was 1 page and reading 2 was 2 pages, and reading 3 is 3 pages, plus some bouncing with reading 4.) But never fear, I should be able to get Reading 3 done tonight.
WOWEE, Carolyn!! Your notes are just great! What a....ummm...entertaining?? reading! Amazing, as always.
Take your time and post when you can. We can wait! (I think...) ;)

Boy, it never fails! John has said over and over that if you don't want your dirty laundry aired don't go to a medium. That family had little left to the imagination
Great notes Carolyn, thanks.

:laff2: yeah, and I'm not so sure I really did that reading any justice :surprise: , it was a little more graphic and a little funnier ... perhaps a course in shorthand is in order :D .
Reading 3
Again this reading was in the same section but back closer to the first people read. There was a real struggle to get this reading underway, with JE having to again do the “forget why you’re here” speech.
+ September 11 connection
+ Lance Armstrong: which could mean the name “Lance” or testicular cancer or the Tour de France
This was not validated.
- 9/11 connection validated; the Boston plane, the first plane to hit; flight attendant
+ she was not supposed to be on that flight, there was a switch of flights
a bit of a struggle here again, but then the woman remembered that the husband of this woman didn’t think his wife was on that flight
+ has he remarried
- no
+ he has a green light; it’s okay to move on
+ acknowledges a boy living
+ she’s watching out for him
+ 3rd grade
- yes he’s in 3rd grade now
From this point on the reading flowed much better and easier
+ Barbie
- the friend connection (I think this means that the friend who knew the flight attendant is Barbie)
+ again Lance Armstrong, then
+ the yellow bracelet that supporters of the Lance Armstrong Foundation buy and wear
Both JE and the sitter had just very recently found out what the yellow bracelet means
+ Mom is passed
+ Mom had stepped aside to let the 9/11 connection happen first
+ The sun will come out tomorrow or other Annie reference
+ someone did not see Mom or experience her passing in some way; wipe the slate clean
(In the margin I wrote “2 women” but I’m not sure where that went)
+ an agitated feeling (I think as if Mom was agitated)
+ move past it, (Mom’s moved past it)
+ Mom’s in a better place
+ she’s more whole, more together
+ she’s lightened up
+ she was a controlling, worrisome person here
+ Patrick?
- daughter-in-law is Patrice, sister in law is Patti
+ a construction accident; someone was literally crushed; something fell on him
(extended acknowledgement as they relayed how this person had gone out in a storm at a construction site to try to make sure that the brace would hold up in the wind and while he was trying to add additional support and the brace gave out and the metal wall fell on him)
+ Barbie reference again related to Derrick or Dennis
- stepbrother Dennis and stepfather also De passed
+ ties to the west (at first John though CA, but then saw Vegas) perhaps tied to Dennis
Couldn’t be validated
+ July or 7 connection
- friend’s mom
+ Carolyn, Caroline connection
- Dad’s brother’s wife
+ alcohol on that side of family
- big yes
+ connection to fiddle or violin or stringed instrument, but not strummed or picked, but bowed
(I’m not sure if this was validated or not)
+ Dad is also passed
- yes
+ may not have had the best relationship (Mom & Dad); kind of separate but together; stayed married because that’s what you did
+ lung cancer
+ diagnosis around Thanksgiving
+ someone kenw they were ill and did not tell anyone; did not want to “bother” anyone with it; martyr-type and it was a negative
+ 2 dogs barking; one had a burn, marking or scar
JE brought up a Gladyce Kravitz reference here, he wasn’t sure if it was for a neighbor or for Gladyce or what; it took a bit but then the woman realized that growing up, her neighbor’s last name was Kravitz (sometimes a cigar really is only a cigar J)
Some overlapping with Reading 4 occurs here. Again it’s in the same section as the first 3 readings. He was pulled to the Reading 4 part, but then bounced back to the reading 3 folks
+ a sister who’s passed
+ there’s a transplant issue; Mom is bringing it up
- Mom was an organ donor the sitter had seen to it that it was done; she was the only one who knew Mom wanted to be an organ donor
CarolynB

Reading 4
The Mom from reading 3 is now assisting JE with this reading
+ sister is passed and husband or brother
Ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh, I can’t believe that I didn’t write down in Reading 3 that one of the sitter’s and Mom’s name are both Dorothy (one was called Dot or Dottie)
+ someone passed around own birthday
- (this goes back to Dot in Reading 3)
+ younger male who has passed on a bicycle or one hit him, but not a car
- my brother was hit by a bike but is still here
+ 7 years old
- that’s how old he was when the bike hit him
John’s still skeptical b/c he’s still connecting it to someone passed
+ Mom is passed?
- yes
This seemed to clear up the confusion for John but he asked for further validation
+ J-name for a brother
- another brother (not the one hit by the bicycle) has a J-name, still here
+ family of 4, 3 similar, 1 different
Again a struggle b/c the sitter wanted to make it a 2/2 split, but when JE emphasized 3 SIMILAR, 1 DIFFERENT it clicked
+ brother with the bike; anything going on with him healthwise?
- no, but with someone else
+ no according to Mom something is going on with him healthwise and coming on the heels of the other “martyr” situation, very troubling
+ family with rabbits?
- yes
+ frog :jumper: or lizard loose at night someone wakes up the whole household
- can’t validate
(JE then regales us, as only he can with a story where he and his cousins had rented a house in the Bahamas or Barbados or somewhere like that and they were sleeping and it was very hot and he woke up and could feel something move across his forehead, first this way, then that way, then it stopped in the middle… well you get the picture)
-still can’t validate
+ who’s Susan or Suzanne?
- can’t validate
Which leads us to a very short
Reading 5
- I’m Susan
+ can you validate the lizard story
- yes, she then went on to tell a story about her honeymoon (I think in Hawaii) where there were lizards in the room but they were all pretty small
John asked her to ask her husband if maybe there wasn’t a bit of a bigger lizard that he took care of and didn’t tell her about. She said she would. Unfortunately she didn’t stick to the story of the honeymoon but gave out a lot of info about people passed and I think the Other Side was unable to continue because she’d used up all the validating info
And then we broke.
Whew! I forgot that 4 and 5 (5 especially) were shorter ... so you get'em after al!
Enjoy!
Yeah! A :jumper: :) They and blue roses are showing up in John's events. Now a frog sitting on a blue rose would be nice. :D
(As if anyone didn't know by now, frogs, lots and lots of them, are ADCs in my family.)
Wow, Carolyn! With all the jumping back and forth, I can't believe how well-organized your notes are! Shorthand or not, you did just fine!
Sounds like JE was right on, as usual!

Did I miss something?
Where was the intrigue - unless it had to do with the various family members rather similar among the 4 or 5 families?????
Thanks Carolyn. I love these readings. You did a great job considering all the jumping around JE did. He must have been pretty well spent when he quit for the night.
He took no questions at all? That is unusual isn't it?

Ahhh. the intrigue is in Reading 11 ... the last reading of the night. At this point we've only gotten to the break ... He took questions after the break and at the end, but no questions between readings which is what he said he'd do.
:jumper: Carolyn, C'mon! Don't stop now... can't wait for the next report! :stick:

Before the Q & A, I need to wave to  Karn, because I ran into her in the bathroom :D . Karn, feel free to add, subtract, multiply or divide my notes.
Q & A - none of these are quotes, unless I use quotation marks … I don’t write fast enough, but the sentiment of the question and the answer are, I believe, accurate.
Q: When they come through, do they come through for themselves (because THEY need to come through) or because the people here need them to come through.
JE: It’s really both or either. Sometimes it’s because of where they are on their journey, sometimes it’s because of what we need on our journey and sometimes it’s both.
Q: You read me a year ago and when my mother came through, you asked me after the reading how long she had been there and I said 7 years and you said that it seemed a lot longer. It’s been bugging me ever since; what did you mean by that?
JE: I don’t remember the meeting so it’s hard to say. Usually when I say that, it’s because of a feeling I get. It must have felt to me that she’d been there for a while.
{Note: there was a bit of back and forth on this with the questioner finally summing it up by saying something to the effect that it seemed like her mom was settled in on that and JE agreed that that interpretation was an okay one.}
Q: What do you think of automatic writing?
JE: It’s another tool that can be used to communicate with the other side. It’s not one I like for me, I did try it once. But I’m way too much of a control freak. But it is a tool that can be used.
Q: Do you ever see the person you’re communicating with?
JE: I usually just see a feature or a part. If I saw the person, I would say it all, and I’d have to talk even faster than I do. Like with the dog over there (pointing, see Reading 3 above), what I saw was a dog’s leg with a marking, but you’ll notice I didn’t say a breed, because I didn’t see that, I just saw the marking.
Q: I know you’ve read Tuesdays with Morrie…
JE: actually I haven’t
(there was a bit of back and forth here as well, with the questioner quite sure she knew he had, but John was adamant and she had been going to ask him about [i]The Five People You Meet In Heaven, which he also hasn’t read; of course the question “why” came up.
JE: I had a really bad experience with Mitch Albom on the radio - a really bad experience. I rate him up there with Howard Stern.
(the audience on the whole was rather shocked)
Q When you first started to do psychic fairs, how did you block out the other people in the room.
JE: Practice. I didn’t usually have trouble with other people in the room, unless they were in line waiting to see me. Then what would happen is I would be reading the person in front of me and something would come out that was meant for the 3rd person in line. Then they’d get in front of me and I’d do the reading and when I was done they’d say something like that was great, but I’m going to Tampa next week, how does that look? And a trip to Tampa is what he talked about to the first person who couldn’t validate it.
But essentially the answer was simply practicing focusing.

Okay, I just realized I had 2 number 5’s in my notes, so I’m gonna get really confused, but I hope to clear it up before I sent it to y’all. Especially since if you thought there was bouncing before, just wait.
Reading 6
We’ve now abandoned the left (mine, JE’s right) side of the room for the center, which is the section I was sitting in.
+ does anyone have a casino chip with them?
(there were several possibles, but no casino chips)
+ or a, this is going to sound really weird, a bird in their purse?
+ or maybe a bird on a coin that’s not money
- a coin with a bird and a saying
+ then there must be a Michael connection
- yes, middle name
(the usual middle name speech, which actually didn’t seem to fit … more on this later)
+ September connection
- yes
+ Birthday
- yes
+ drowning or asphyxiated passing
- hanging
+ he’s putting a question mark over it
+ questions all around this; and there’s no answers to the hanging here (meaning in this reading) either
+ it’s solved, and understood, but it’s not resonating
- yes
+ Tony/Anthony
- still here
+ Dad who is passed
- Tony’s father
+ Drug arrest? Issue? Substance abuse?
- steroids
+ but then they were abused
- yes
+ October
- sister’s birthday
+ brother as escort
(I think the sister initially disagreed with this but it got resolved)
+ he’s come through before (in a reading)j
- yes with another medium
+ but he’s not giving his name
(John did his I’ve asked, pleaded, begged & demanded)
+ Kristen
- sister
+ He’s not letting me do my job;
(it seems middle name Michael doesn’t appreciate John’s style:eek: , so he wasn’t cooperative … however he did come through with a lot of validating information:love: .)
+ connection between Michael and JE
- Montauk
+ Dad is still here
+ V name there needs to be acknowledged (not acknowleged, yet)
+ 24
- one of the sitters is 24 (I think it was the sister, but this was a group of 10 people, so …)
+ sitter is the oldest (I have no idea what this means)
+ the older brother – male figure above but not dad, living “older brother” (I think there was a bit of extended discussion here with the resolution being that middle name Michael was presenting himself as the older brother, but the sister was older)
+ close and connected (I think sister and brother)
+ acknowledging grandma still living, March/Aries
+ engagement, birth or other major life event in 18-21 months, he’ll be there for
And now’s where we start to have some fun and we move on to reading 7 as middle name Michael brings through someone for someone in the row behind his family.
CarolynB
09-02-2004, 07:21 PM
Reading 7
+ younger male passed
- neighbor’s son
+ mom’s grandmother hot by someone who loved her (JE thought Grandpa, but it turned out to be someone obsessed with her)
+ can you acknowledge the V, I think it goes here
- Vincent
+ can’t take off the ring, the finger has gotten too big
(a bit of a discussion ensued, with the sitter thinking it was that the ring was too loose …)
+ the ring is for Vincent
+ someone also passed from suicide by gun
(couldn’t figure it out)
+ connect it to Alice
- friend
+ Rose is there
Now, I think we’re back to the reading 6 family
+ son has expanded understanding of being on the other side what seems senseless here he has an understanding of there
+ someone’s speaking at Foundation, sending packets
- yes, son’s photo is on a T-shirt
+ killer photo
+ a calendar?
- I was supposed to make a calendar with his pix, jeans and no shirt but it never happened
(JE describes using photo-shop to change a background and related a not-so-funny story about how for some publicity stills some, um, person decided to have him in front of an orangey-yellowy background … well, let’s just say that was a very bad idea and move on.)
+ stone wall photo
+ website, huge one
- no
Then we’re back to reading 7 family
+ acknowledged huge website
+ Matt
+ 3 pregnancies
+ Vincent’s dad is passed
- no
+ connect Dad to the watch and jewelry,
(another member of this party of 10 acknowledges dad passed w/ watch & jewelry connection)
+ Betty
- yes
+ mom is passed
- Betty’s mom
+ then Dad is there with Betty’s mom
+ waitress with the name Flo or Flo’s personality (from Mel’s Diner)
And yes, now we’re back to Family # 6
+ heart attack 1,2,3 gone
- waitress friend
+ Tony’s father is describing waitress
+ reference to getting into argument with client
- waitress sitter: some people wanted to try to bring in 20,000 coupons and eat for free
+ salsa (?) burger joint – drinks are served?
- yes
+ Ben? Please tell me someone named Ben works with you
- no
+ okay (John trying to be delicate) think Ben and a tail
- a rat?
+ he wants me to remind you about the time a rat ran through where patrons were being served (as an aside to those who were horrified, he said, every good restaurant has its rat)
And yes, now we’re back to the #7 Family
+ Is Harry connected?
- yes
+ dead pan sense of humor
(there was some back and forth on this, but agreed)
+ recent passing (this goes back to the same sitter in this family with the watch/jewelry connection)
(John comments that he (this energy) is struggling for control of the mike)
+ September is important during the time of Libra (end of the month)
- Jewish holidays
(a little discussion here and John agrees)
+ His brother is there
- not acknowledged)
+ Helen?
- is his sister
+ that’s the brother figure
And now back to Family # 6
+ son says the coin refers to him
(earlier the sitter had said there was a saying on the coin, John had asked her not to read it then in case he came through with it; she asked if she could read it now and he said yes and she did, but I didn’t get much of it)
- Life a journey… souls go on
+ passed near his house; he’s in familiar surrounding
- it was right across from his house
+ 2 people found him
- yes
+ before he was found there was a sense of a bad omen or a weird feeling (John relayed the story of the time he saw 2 white birds on a neighbors house and they stayed there and wouldn’t go away, then one went away and the other stayed. His grandmother shook her head and said that wasn’t a good thing. A few days later one of two children in the house passed [they were twins]. Grandma said I told you so. And then John told the story of the time when he was 14 [I think and his dad was taking him out to go sailing and his grandmother warned him not to, but John said he was trying (to improve his relationship with his dad] and don’t spoil it, but his grandmother shook her finger at him and said it wasn’t a good idea. But they went and basically ended up out to sea and they had to be rescued by the Coast Guard [there was no wind]. John didn’t get home until 4 am and his grandma said I told you so. She’d had a bad feeling)
All of this to say that someone in that family must have had a bad feeling about something or there was a bad omen. There was a sense of uneasiness over something external.
+ photos, he’s really into the picture of himself
+ dad is still here
+ uncle is there
+ snoopy
- beagle is his favorite dog
+ no this is an animated snoopy; there must be some reference to the “yippee” snoopy
Now back to the watch/jewelry dad
+ how long is he gone?
- 1 year
+ who else passed in a short period of time
- mom, 5 months before him
+ mom was there to greet him
+ backyard BBQ card game going on
Not validated now, but just wait
+ driving be careful, how many tickets do you have, how many point
- sitter admitted to driving too fast, but no points (uh huh)
+ siren and lights
(John as an aside went on to say, I don’t know who I am to talk, of course it’s not really me saying it, but I’m a lead foot.)
+ be careful, siren and lights
(as an aside of my own, after the seminar when I was in the bathroom I heard this woman talking to someone else and they were trying to remember what all he’d said about her driving and she admitted that on the day dad died she was really driving like a maniac.)
+ aneurysm
+ Linda, cousin
- yes
And that, ladies and gentleman, concludes readings 6 and 7. 16 pages of notes transcribed, 17 to go.
Methinks next time I do this I'm going to borrow an AlphaSmart from work - then all I have to do is upload the notes to a computer and voila!

For Reading 8, we head back to my left.
(this reading was a little slow to start)
+ uncle, uncle energy, police
- friend of family?
+ Ed is where? Or Eddie?
+ dad is passed, plice/military, Ed
Still not acknowledged
+ where’s the Chihuahua family?
- grandfather had Chihuahua
+ male figure above
+ 13th
- dad Earl passed on 13th
+ police
+ alcohol
John being delicate
+ dad was an alcoholic
- yes
+ alcoholic dad affected parenting
- yes
+ physical abuse
- yes
+ mom is there
- yes
+ also a victim
- yes
+ a sense of apology, coming close to apology
+ issues were extremely (once again I can’t read my writing; it looks like caghed)
+ may not have gotten the appreciation or emotional love needed
This is acknowledged
+ 15 is a turning point
- yes
+ are you the baby of the family
- no
(there was some discussion of this)
+ there was a question of parenting, how someone was raised or fathered
- yes
+ trying to be (no idea – crapkin)’s father
+ child with them
(John then made a reference for this family to the 6th family and Rhapsody in Blue)
And thus concludes Reading 8
I'm afraid that's it for today ... the intrigue will have to wait!

Nice job Carolyn - but I probably agree. When I took notes I got so involved sometimes that I got a little lost - I was glad Pooh was there. She filled in some of the blank spots.
Good job - thanks again. Really interesting readings.

By now, you might have noticed that all the readings have taken place on John’s right or the center of the room; several times, particularly in the back and forth between readings 6 & 7, John looked over to the other side of the room and teasingly “promised” that he’d do a reading over there. And with another slow start to a reading that’s now where we’re headed for
Reading 9
+ who’s known for playing the piano well? The guy in the yellow shirt (pointing)
- (shook head “no”)
+ is there a piano in the basement? Does it play by itself?
- yes
+ liver/stomach problems
- (shook head “no”)
(I think I missed something here, John was talking pretty fast)
- Father still alive (I think this was in answer to JE’s assertion older male like father there)
+ someone passed stomach or liver disease, father figure, or colon cancer or stomach or pancreatic, older male
- (shook head “no”)
(If by now you’ve gotten the sense that yellow shirt might be a tad bit more skeptical than necessary … you’d be right)
+ connection to 8
- yellow shirt’s birthday
+ buddy, Billy or B name
- friend that passed
+ Hemorrhage
- dog passed of pancreatic cancer
+ Glen/Gary/Gus/hard G name
- woman who used to babysit
+ hard G name?
- Gert
+ stomach?
- yes
+ prevalent friend of the family
- yes
+ did you ask for validation; did you say to someone on the way here that I’d have to bring up some specific thing or really specific things in order for you to believe this was real?
- (shook head “no”)
+ who’s the Scott or Steve?
- (shook head “no”)
+ who’s the S name that you work with?
+ Did you think of an S at work?
- yes
+ Did you have a conversation with that person similar to the one I just described?
- yes
+ there’s a child from a miscarriage or terminated pregnancy
+ that energy is on the other side
+ there’s a handicap energy, problems walking
- yellow shirt had problems walking
+ did you wear braces on your legs
- yes
+ mom’s mom or dad’s mom passed
+ both energies
(at this point my notes really start to degenerate, the info was flowing really fast)
+ Gert (don’t know looks like acleration pain)
+ remind about the hiding spot in the house behind the steps (John didn’t need validation for this because although he knew what he was seeing he also knew that it was pretty specific, but that that should give yellow shirt a general idea of what Gert was talking about)
+ wife’s mom is coming through, but not to wife but to yellow shirt (a discussion of yellow shirt’s skepticism and even though wife was there mom felt it important to make sure yellow shirt took away from this experience the process)
+ month of March or the 3rd of a month
+ in the basement who is the person who’s stuff is there
- wife’s mom
+ is that the piano
- yes
+ Not of clear mind; she’s claiming she was not or someone else was not
- no
+ Buddy, Billy
- her ex-husband
+ think for yellow shirt
(didn’t know)
+ Drug overdose of toxins
- Billy; ex-husband (she didn’t know whether he was dead, but he was a junkie and so could be the one who passed not of clear mind
+ who’s Marie?
- Mom’s middle name
(this validated the interpretation that Billy is the one who passed not of clear mind)
+ pink roses, expressing love
+ are you guys married?
- yes
+ who was together forever and then decided to get married much later on?
- don’t know
+ okay, forget that, who’s Andrew?
(there was a bit of awkward laughter and looks passing between hubby and wife, so it was clear they knew who Andrew was)
+ Be careful of the energy of Andrew. (more looks)
+ It’s not an unconditional friendship. It’s conditional. If I (JE) were the guy in the yellow shirt I would not like him.
- acknowledged
+ dad’s passed too? (I think this was to the wife)
- yes
+ Mom’s making me feel as if you’re trying to identify yourself; mom says just be you. You’re trying to get too many peole to like you and looking too much for others’ approval.
+ Career-wise you would make a great nurse
(wanted to be one once)
+ or teaching, giving of yourself
+ getting a new car or vehicle (boat, truck, train, etc.) or looking for a previously owned car truck? Be careful of vehicle
+ California?
- niece just moved there and we want to go visit
And we say so long to our most skeptical sitter.

+ ties to NY?
- yes
+ 4-level building
- yes
+ is mom passed?
- yes
+ tough lady?
- yes
+ loving tough, but tough?
- oh, yes
+ I’m scared of her energy
- Are you familiar with As the World Turns?
- No
+ who has the blues eyes possible
- my son?
+ bluest eyes?
- yes
+ she always said he should be a model
+ she was one of 4?

+ 18th connected?
- no

Reading 11 (never fear, Reading 10 mom will reappear later; but also keep in mind that the reading with intrigue is now Reading 12, not 11 because of my earlier numbering mishap)
JE crossed the aisle to the right (his left) still front row
+ 18th connected here?
- yes
+ fire; did someone pass in a fire? Where was the fire?
- aunt died in fire
+ 18th has a meaning
- yes
+ dad’s there too?
- yes
+ Ballet?
- niece
+ they see her doing this
(at some point, I think right about here, JE indicated that the information was coming courtesy of the Reading 10 mom, she was helping get the information through)
(There is now a very long discussion about someone’s face on a Campbell’s soup can or the name or the replacing of the label with someone’s face or name and it had to be on a can, not on anything else..)
+ Take me to AnneMarie
- sister-in-law
+ Dawn
(must have been acknowledged)
+ definitely your family (This is while they were still trying to figure out the can label reference)
+ poodle
(acknowledged by someone else in the same group, another group of 8 or more)
+ if you guys came together, your families come together
- 3 ½ gallon cans, ice cans, husband’s business has labels
+ someone there is acknowledging this
- husband had friend in same business who is passed
+ Rebecca
+ Robert
- dad had already passed (methinks I missed something here)
+ who had the party with the lantern’s outside?
- acknowledged
+ who shocked you by getting tipsy or drunk and took off all their clothes; there’s a teasing energy here
(a number of people in the group tried to claim this with several funny stories including this personal favorite)
- my grandmother mooned me
+ thanks for sharing, but that’s not it
+ No it’s at the backyard bbq lantern party with music
+ where’s the roasted pig family
- at a wedding
+ no
(someone in the same section different group asked if it could be lamb)
+ no
+ who had glaucoma or macular degeneration
(no takers, or maybe too many takers)
+ it’s back to the ice can family. Think grandma
+ I think your family is the roast pig family
(back to 10 Reading family)
+ Who is 1 of 9 or 10 kids?
- my grandmother
+ do you have her classes?
- yes and yes (both the 10 reading family and the 9 reading family answered)
+ I was talking to her (pointing to 9 reading family), but this is what I call blending, where both families have things in common
(Back to 10 reading family)
+ what does the 19th or October (JE was seeing his birthday) mean
- father passed in October
+ who’s Ruth
(blank stares)
+ I’m seeing my friend Ruth (pointing to Ruth who was standing in the front of the room, leaning against the wall in by this section)
(This information claimed by the same person who asked about the lamb.)

Which brings us to Reading 12
+ Mom is bringing this through
+ Ruth; and mom is passed
(John encouraged these two families to talk afterward because there would be some parallel event.)
(I think I missed something here)
- nephew just got married
+ 2 times
- he was engaged twice
+ she has 2 sons
(once again my handwriting has really deteriorated, so this next part might be off a bit)
+ he’s not listening
- yes
+ Volleyball or Olympics
+ watching Olympics where she p-something degrees (?)
+ reference to the Olympics
- probably because it was in Greece
+ younger male there, son-in-law?
- yes
+ 1 child diabetic?
+ new? Had a scare recently
+ A marriage recent
- August 7th
(my writing gets better here)
+ at a wedding someone did something discreetly, not overtly outside, that was like an offering or a sacrifice
- unknown
+ sacrificing something
+ a celebration not everybody could have been at part of it. A difficult time surrounding a beautiful event; people need to get over it
+ is she tough?
- yes
+ not mean, strong
- yes
(Back to 10 Reading Family)
+ she’s making reference to one of the “minor” saints
- yes, do you want to know which
+ no, in case she comes through with it
(Back to 12 Reading Family)
+ Mom has same level of prayer
+ a problem with the leg
+ she knew she was leaving
+ ??? represented from family ??? (kept in some way from the family?)
(Back to 10 Reading Family)
+ you had a hard time getting her on a plane
(a brief discussion ensued, with John confused because he thought it was a fear of flying, but it was a physical problem getting on the plane … in reading over the notes, I think there was some blending going on here as well, because the “problem with the leg” reference makes more sense here)
(Back to 12 Reading Family)
+ are you 1 of 5
- yes
+ 3 and 2
- yes
(writing deteriorates again)
+ Dad or Mom’s mom now passed
- both
+ Dad also passed?
- yes
( I missed something here but it had to do with a changing of the name with a first name as a middle name or something, validated as follows):
+ Dick and Richard?
- Alexander Richard changed to Richard Alexander
+ Dad passed around mom’s birthday
- passed before
(writing gets better here)
+ mom greeted him
+ the twins are where
- cousin had twins
+ there’s a buried her in blue theme here
+ so you’re going to get cheesecake after this is over
- they always go for coffee and cake after going out
+ younger female; mom hears her acknowledge her everyday presence
+ she’s been gone 9 years
- 8
+ 9 is the next anniversary?
- yes
+ did she speak another language? German phrases? An endearment?
(At this point, John’s being delicate again J, referencing a endearment that would include a body part; he looks to Ruth to see if she wants to fess up to the particular body-part endearment that he must be seeing/hearing as his frame of reference)
- Ruth acknowledges heinekeplotz (those of you who know German, pardon the spelling)
(At this point, Carol interrupts to let John know that the family he’s been reading is Ruth’s family … and now I know what “nonplussed” looks like. He had absolutely no idea that the entire time he thought he was reading for strangers, he was, in fact reading for Ruth [remember the Ruth reference that got this reading started, well it wasn’t just for the name, but for the person as well], his friend and her sisters. I think it took a lot for him to set that aside and go on.)
+ what’s the sacrifice, it’s all a blur
- (Ruth) could it be the lighting of a candle, no one else was around
+ that’s not it; it’s a sacrifice; it’s big
- (the sister who did most of the validations) the three sisters have been estranged, 1 brought them together
+ that’s the sacrifice
(Back to 10 Reading family, I think)
+ who is Rose, it that mom’s aunt
- no, godmother
Then I wrote “helps” or “helper” which I think refers to the 10 Reading family mom helping Ruth’s mom come through.
And that, my dear Friends, is the end of the readings. I’ll have one more post – the final Q & A, but probably not until tomorrow.

Thank you so much Carolyn. You did so well with all of those readings. I wouldn't be able to keep all of that straight. :) I'm looking forward to the Q&A. Have a wonderful evening, and be safe this Labor Day Weekend.

WOW Carolyn!!:jumper: Thank you so much for such detailed notes. It's almost like being there.
Carolyn great job with the readings! Awesome, like being there, like Sandra said!
But I must be dense...where is the intrigue that I've been on the edge of my seat for, for so long? Did I miss something?

Well Carolyn, you were correct. I would say intrigue pretty well sums it up. I cannot imagine the look on John's face. He must have been totally at a loss for words.
It would really be interesting to see just how the families tied together. Usually those with like minded concerns sit together without realizing it. The orchestration blows me away every single time.
Many, many thanks for the recap. It was just like being there.
Thanks again.

The intrigue or surprisefrom my perspective was the way the Other Side used Ruth as a symbol, when they really wern't using her as a symbol, but as a participant. I guess I used intrigue because I saw it as a ruse.
Q & A coming right up.

Final Q & A
This is more summarized than quoted, ‘cause by now my hand was falling off!
Q: (asked about the show going off the air)
A: (I was a little surprised by the vehemence of John’s response, even though I already knew the answer. He used the word evil, which he admitted is not a word he uses a lot, in referring to the negative energy of the syndicated network TV executives. He used the graduation analogy, and said the last year was like being a senior in high school; he really didn’t want to be there. He went on to say that the people he worked with on the show were fabulous and are family, but the execs who took over when it when to syndication just didn’t get it. They tried to create the show rather than let the show be what it was. He went on to give Bonnie Hammer props – he didn’t include her in the evilness of the network TV execs – he said that under her leadership the show worked because he got it. She had gone to a show, had been read, and totally got it. It was the syndication company that was awful.)
Q: (A question about those who suffer pain here, does it bother them there to see the suffering, I think)
A: What some call pain here, they call lessons; either lessons learned or lessons not learned. (I think there was more to the answer about how they can see the bigger picture.)
Q: (asked about why at certain times of the year do people ask her about 9/11 and does she know or is she related to one of the victims and she doesn’t and isn’t.)
A: (There was a bit of back and forth with John asking if it was Michael Keefer and she said yes. It happens every August through October. He told her to let the family know. He told her not to try to define it. She said she didn’t know them; he said she should still try and find a way.)
And at this point I must have had a brain cramp, because I KNOW Karn asked a question which John answered but I don’t have a single solitary note to remind me of either the question or the answer … so Karn, jump in!
The final question came from John to the 10 Reading family?
Q: Who was the minor saint?
A: Therese (please keep in mind I’m not Catholic and Saints aren’t in my frame of reference, so if there’s more than one Teresa, Theresa, Therese, I could have the wrong one! ;) )
