I didn't exactly take notes there, but once we got home i wrote down bits and pieces that i could remember. Sorry it's late, but i just got back from my vacation yesterday. Had a very nice visit with my friends mom. She and i went to the seminar, but didn't get a reading. :(
Pretty neat to see him though,so here's my story....

We got there at 12:30 and went inside to find something to eat. The doors to the room where the seminar would be was to open at 2, and I had to pick up the tickets yet but the registration table was not up yet.
We were told there was a restaurant at the Marriot beside the Convention Center so we went over for lunch. We got back at 2 as people were starting to show up and registration table finally opened so I went to get the tickets. Only to be a bit disappointed, because they were not real actual tickets like normal. Those of us who bought them online and picked up there got one of those raffle type of tickets. They then looked at the list of names and wrote our seats down on the back. I was disappointed that they were not real tickets,as I wanted a real ticket to keep as a souvenir and John’s name isn’t even on it. lol. Oh well. We were there and that’s what I was looking forward to most. We went into the meeting room (of about 3000 people) and at the front there was a little stage and 2 big screens on each side of the room, with a few cameras set up. On the screen they were showing a special episode of Crossing Over of various clips (a very funny episode of confessions). They repeated this episode right up until the seminar started at 4. We were second row in the section to the left of the section that was right in front of the stage. So we were just off to the side. There were doors up front and a couple of security guards standing at one so I knew where John would be coming through. At 4,a lady went onstage and was telling us not to use cell phones, camera’s,etc (darn,I was DYING to take just one pic of John! oh well) and then introduced John Edward. And in he came, looking great and everyone stood up. He was wearing a white and blue striped shirt and blue jeans, and he really is as cute as he is on tv. Especially up close. lol.

He spent about 45min of talking/introduction. He first mentioned the Florida humidity, coming from Phoenix and stepping off the plane in Tampa in this humidity. lol.
He talks a lot about Sandra and Justin (who just turned 2). He mentioned that when Sandra’s grandmother died that she put a cross in the casket but when no one was around she took it back out even without John’s knowledge. She wanted John to pick it up through a connection with her grandmother and eventually he did connect and he couldn’t believe she didn’t tell him about it. lol.
Justin seems to have a bit of senses too. John would point in a direction one time, towards their dog Roxy and asked Justin who was over there. Justin didn’t say Roxy, he said Princess. Princess is a nickname for John’s mom (Prin).
Another time John had some sort of feeling while he was feeding Justin, but wasn’t getting anything coming through. I can’t remember what he said led up to it but Sandra was there and Justin said ‘Mommy do you hear that?’ Whatever it was about, Sandra and John looked at each other and he said Sandra’s look was priceless. Kinda like an ‘Oh My God,not this. Not Justin too!’ lol.
He talked about Australia as well, and was saying how there are cultural differences. He said he would talk about the SNL spoof they did on him,and the audience would laugh when he mentioned spoof. No one told him until the last day there that Spoof in Australia actually means,um something else. LOL. He had also told them about seeing a psychic and giving them his object, his ring. More laughter, and later he finds out that over there Ring means your butt. lol.
Everyone was laughing at these stories.
He also talked about Crossing Over crossing over. Says the production just didn’t get what it was all about. They thought of it as a tv show and John tried to explain it’s an event, an event that is televised. He’s glad CO is done but doesn’t rule out the possibility of doing something else if it’s right.
John also mentioned his mom’s anniversary is on Tuesday (Oct.5th).
He talked about his faith in God and says that’s one thing his mother did the best for him,was his faith. He said he’s not a good Catholic because he doesn’t go to church every Sunday. When Sandra gives him crap about it he just says he did his time. His grandmother took him to church everyday up to grade 1. But his faith in God is strong and that’s one thing he’ll do for Justin too. It’s a very important thing.
Then he talks about the seminar experience. He says being here is an experience and to learn that you don’t need him,you can connect on your own in many ways. He asks for a show of hands on who has ever heard a song out of the blue that is connected to a loved one. Of course I put up my hand,it’s happened many times.. He says it’s a little connection like that that they let you know they’re around. Assures us they are OK and they don’t miss us like we miss them and they are a part of our lives and know what’s going on. They care more about our health and spiritual lives rather than other stuff like bedroom and bathroom duties. lol.

After 45 minutes of that,he went into Q&A’s. It was interrupted with a couple of readings too.
One of the questions someone had was if anyone came through talking about God. He said the only time was when there was an analogy used of God being like a pyramid. Each person looking at this pyramid sees it differently. One might see it blue, another green, but it’s the same pyramid. Everyone sees God differently. But that was the only time it’s been mentioned and nothing more. He said he has priest friend that asked him if he could connect to a Saint. But it doesn’t work that way.
I think he was asked about seeing and knowing ahead of time that someone will die. John mentioned that if he sees a vision of the Blessed Mother it usually means someone will pass.
He also said that one’s soul knows ahead of time when it’s time to go and some people will actually know it’s coming. He mentioned of this kid who went on a trip or something and actually told his parents he wouldn’t be coming home. He knew he’d pass, and he did. It’s rare, but does happen.

He usually goes into a 15 minute break after this, but said that since we were a great audience he would get right into readings if we stayed in our seats. So that’s what he did.
Bits and pieces (sorry there's not more info that i can remember);

The first reading (that interrupted Q&A’s) was in the far right section:
- Hard ‘G’ name like Gary,Glen
- someone retired
no one in the section was validating and he kept repeating the info and finally went down to the section to narrow it down. Eventually he found the retired guy and was able to go on from there.

The saddest reading,IMO, was a woman in the far left section. John had her 2 yr old daughter coming through. A drowning early this year. Mother was blaming self, but John says it’s not her fault. She said their house was being worked on and the workers took the fence away from the pool and her baby fell in. Very emotional reading. John also got a little boy coming through and asked if there was another drowning. She said a boy in her same town drowned last week (5 years old?) and her priest has been trying to get that family in touch with her. This boy and her daughter were coming through together and John says make sure to get the message to the family and it’s no coincidence her priest is trying to get them together.

A woman’s mom dominates the night, bringing through people from all over the room. He comes back to her frequently. John told a family in the opposite end to get together with “lucky lady” (as he referred to her) after the seminar as there’s a connection between them.

Someone in our section, some rows back (J comes over and stands just a few feet away from us!) had a son (?) come through, impact accident and takes responsibility (drinking).

A guy that keeps a rock in his pocket as remembrance

In one reading he mentions rotten eggs. The lady says it means “egg burp” and said something about when they used to burp it smelled like rotten eggs. lol

One guy came through riding on a horse. J says that’s never happened before. He was getting something about a horse being bottle-fed, the woman said her husband doesn’t want to bottle-feed calf. Something along that line. J isn’t a horse person and had to check what a calf was. He figured what it was,but wanted to be sure. lol.

There was another reading that started off with difficulty. A Joy or Joyce coming through. I think there was a Pennsylvania connection (or was it another reading? lol). Eventually found the person.

In a reading he mentioned having to replace a window and joked that probably everyone there had to do that because of recent events (hurricanes) and the lady did validate they did that.

Someone’s pregnant. Congrats

There’s a connection with John Kerry. One lady spoke up that she works on his campaign. But it wasn’t for her.

He spent 15 minutes on the last reading, and the seminar ended at 6:30. He said he needed a smoke. <EDIT> My mistake. He was joking that everyone probably had to pee and need a smoke (so it wasn't himself he was referring to smoking,it was the smokers in the audience)...

He’s a very funny guy, lots of laughs. Very interesting seminar, being able to see him up close and in action, just like watching CO. He often went off stage and out into the audience to find the people being read. It was nice to see him in person. :)

Thanks for a great post. How did your friend like the seminar? Tell her she needs to join us. :)
Did the retired guy's name begin with 'G' or what was the connection there?
I love listening to him make the validations... it's fun watching the expression on peoples' faces when they make the connection and the light goes on :bulb:

Thanks Bounce, for such details. But I couldn't believe my eyes when you said he wanted to go out for a smoke.

Did he say that in a way that you could tell he was kidding or what? I mean, after all, he was so upset with his mom for smoking.

And I was just wondering about "calf". I thought a young horse was a foal or a colt.... Does anyone know if are they also called calfs? Just wondering.

Hi Don. My friend had a nice time, yes. We had never been to something like this before,so it was a neat experience for us.
The G name,if i remember correctly, belonged to the crossed over. I think it was his son (?).
It was kinda funny when all this info was coming through and he kept repeating it and no one said anything so he finally goes over there and low and behold there is a retired guy. lol

I was wondering about the smoking thing too. I didn't know he smoked. Maybe i misunderstood what he said, but i thought he did mention it. He was joking that everyone probably had to pee and he wanted a smoke. Does anyone know for sure if smokes or not? If not, then i misunderstood him and he was probably talking about the audience, those who need their smoke (because we didn't break).
i did question that too though. i could be wrong about that.

FYI Bounce, John DEFINITELY DOES NOT SMOKE!! Big peeve of his because he warned his mother for years about her heaving smoking and lung cancer. When she was diagnosed with it, he was actually very angry about the whole thing. At several seminars he's made it VERY clear how he feels about smoking. I'm sure he was speaking of the smokers in the audience.

I am pretty sure that John does not smoke - but, no doubt, he was 'getting' the vibes from those that do. No break  OMG! I can imagine there were tons of nicotine fits happening - and going to the bathroom - probably as many eyeballs floating LOL!!!! :laff:

John must have been very comfortable with you all. Going down into the audience does not happen all that often anymore.

He had some good readings and some good questions.

Thanks for sharing Bounce - anytime we can hear about a seminar is a good day!!

It was kinda funny when all this info was coming through and he kept repeating it and no one said anything so he finally goes over there and low and behold there is a retired guy. lolIt's amazing how often this happens. It's the old "deer in the headlights" syndrome. Everyone's mind blanks out. :)

I definitely agree that John does NOT smoke. Remember the story he told about approaching the woman stopped at a traffic light and yelling at her for smoking, and with her kids in the car? He asked her if she loved her kids and she said, 'of course.' So he said 'then throw that cigerette away.'

Once, after a difficult reading on Crossing Over he said "I need a drink." It was just a 'funny' because I've heard him say several times that he does not drink. So I expect the smoke thing was just anothr 'John funny.'

thanks for sharing!! that was great!! yeah I'm pretty sure John does not smoke--i remember numerous seminars where he always talks about dont pick up this bad habit! i can just see he was joking around!!

wow that is really interesting when he said he usually sees the Blessed Virgin Mary before someone passes. I remember this passed summer on the night I arrived in Missouri, that I had such a vivid dream/visit from the blessed Mother I was really amazed. I will have to see if anyone who I knew, or perhaps my mom knew passed around that time. But then again the symbols are different for everyone.

great job on taking notes!!

Thanks Bounce, for making me feel like I've been to yet another seminar. You did a great job of "bringing us there!" I love to hear from people who have attended their first seminar--it's so exciting :jumper: Good Job!

THanks guys, for clearing up the smoking thing. I obviously misunderstood (see this is what happens when you go only by memory instead of taking notes right then and there. LOL),so he was definitely referring to the smokers in the crowd.
