Good Evening Zelda6. Congratulations on jumping at the chance to be the first one to get read by the student readers. I hope all of our readings provide a bit of insight and guidance to your path ahead.

As I was cutting my deck (Sacred Rose tarot deck) getting ready to draw the first card, it sort of separated itself from the pile that it was in. I don't know what to make of that, but maybe you will when I tell you what the first card drawn was.

Ace of Swords
You wanted to know more about how the move is going to affect your family and I believe this is a good card to start out with. It's a time of new beginnings and new truths. A chance to start over from scratch in a new place and new surroundings. Not only are you in a new place physically, but also in a new place mentally. This may be a time to break out of your normal way of thinking, and stretch out. This not only may apply to you, but also to your family. They also may find themselves thinking outside of the box and stretching their legs.

Queen of Pentacles
You may find either your mother, grandmother, or very strong aunt stepping forward in the light with this move. She is the one who will want every detail in its place, because what is most important to her is her home, hearth, and family. Nothing is to be left for another time. It's now or never, and everything has to be in its place. Everyone will come to her when they will need to find something, for she knows where everything is. But this is not a taskmaster's job. You'll find her getting dirty along with the rest of the family sorting things out and placing them around the house.

The Fool~Reversed
However, with everyone dealing with the new surroundings and the new atmosphere, there are sure some details that will be put in your way. Of course, they should be viewed as learning lessons and they will be of a nuisance. With every new beginning, there is almost always a hitch. Something didn't quite work out the way you thought, or this place isn't quite right. But as the famous saying goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." Stay a while and work through some of the obstacles that might pop up. They may range from stupid stuff to life-changing decisions that have to be made. The Fool may be youthful, but there is wisdom to be found in youthfulness. And of course, there is also a quirky stubborness to be found.

So over the next year expect your ups and downs and if we want to put these cards in a timeline fashion, then I would see the latter third of the coming year to be the most trying. But you seem to have strong people in your family who will make it work. If you don't see this happening, then maybe it's your turn to step in the light and make decisions for your family.

I wish you all the best in the future and I hope I was able to help in some small little way. I'm still very new to this, and hoping that all these readings will help me learn more about myself and trusting my insights.

Elemental Spread for Zelda6 using The Universal Waite Tarot Deck

Question: What do I need to know to ensure that my family's recent move has positive results over the next year?

Card 1. Earth-How you can help you and your family adjust physically or materially.
Card 2. Water-How you can help emotionally.
Card 3. Air-How you can help through thinking and planning.
Card 4. Fire-How you can help through actions and or will.
Card 5. Spirit-The key to improving the situation, synthesis of the reading.

Card 1. Earth/Material-Knight of Wands-Clearly shows your change of residence. Advancement to the unknown.. The Knight is on a journey and although he has on armor it is not the armor of war. (A dark, young, friendly man involved?)
Purposeful. There is an element of daring in this move or in you..... or a daredevil in your life perhaps.
*Thoughts...young and very driven...onward and upward...suit yourself in the necessary armor to handle any naysayers and disbelievers in your endeavor. Feel as though you have a mission to carry out here...arm yourself accordingly spiritually and materially for the battle.
Keep your eye on the prize.
Make sure your way of getting to where you need to go is reliable...
Make sure your vehicle is in good shape.
You may be in for a wild ride.

Card 2. Water/Emotional- #19 The Sun--Your journey home. Become a child in the sense of simplicity and innocence. Try to keep things as simple as possible. Bright days are ahead. Maybe plant some sunflowers to remind you that the sun will shine again. Keep a positive attitude.
Something about "reflection" keeps popping into my head here. Possible association with the nineteenth. "Play in the flowers!"

Card 3. Air/Intellectual-5 of Pentacles-You may be feeling deprived in someway perhaps materially. Yet, you know that you really aren't. There is hope on the horizon. The answers you seek are in front of you...you're looking past them.

Card 4. Fire/Actions-4 of Cups-It appears to me that you aren't accepting some sort of love or support that is being offered to you. Perhaps it is the advice of someone that you are not very sure of, OR there is someone you are close to who is doing this to you.
I feel that you maybe need to let down your guard a bit concerning someone who really does have your best interests at heart. Are you emotionally withdrawn with your loved ones? It's time to open up. Those around you are quite possibly feeling some of the same things you are and it may help you all if you share these feelings with them. Take the love that is being offered to you.
I also feel like this card signifies one that is not happy with his new surroundings...that no matter what you offer him he is refusing. He will come around on his own, try to be patient.

Card 5. Spirit/Key-Knight of Swords-This knight is riding full force through opposition. You are charging through the storm...perhaps of opposition that is ahead of you or has been ahead of you. I see courageousness, vitality, strength, about you but somehow limited strength right now.
You are on course, stay there. Your strong will and strength of convictions will see you through.
...possible young, dark haired, chivalrous man involved.

I heard the name "Brad"...and I saw the spokes of a wheel....like a bicycle wheel.

Zelda 6:

As I told Shanti, I didn't read the question. I started doing Tarot as an aid to mediumship because I kept getting in my own way and it was what John recommended. (Not just to me, he said it to a whole group I was in.) When I do Tarot I always ask the question myself: "Is there anyone who wants to get a message to ____?" They might want to say something entirely different than we think we want to hear. I think my problem is that I overinterpret and that seems to be made worse if I know anything about the person at all. I don't even want to know what your area of concern is, I think I get in everyone's way and just think too much. So, none of this might make any sense at all in terms of what was asked.

This is a ten-card read, my version of the Celtic Cross, which usually covers from the present to the next few months.

ONE: 9 of Wands: neutral

You are "standing your ground." Defending principles or ideas.

TWO: 3 of Wands: rightside-up

You are in this position as a result of success in a group.

THREE: 10 of Cups: rightside-up

The card can represent contentment in relationships, marriage or family strength.

FOUR: King of Coins: upside-down

Somweone dishonest threatens financial security

FIVE: Justice: rightside-up

Something "hangs in the balance." The result will be karmically fair even if it seems unfair in earthly terms.

SIX: 7 of Coins: upside-down

financial woes, energy depletion

SEVEN: The Tower: upside-down

Change in a big way, usually means hitting bottom, but reversed means reversal of fortune can lead to things looking up.

EIGHT: The Emporer: upside-down:

Loss of temporal power

NINE: Death: rightside-up:

actual death or major life change

TEN: Queen of Swords: rightside-up:

Overview, perspective, insight.

OVERVIEW:

Your involvement with and success in a group leads to you having to stand your ground and defend some principle or belief. A fund of positive energy from family relationships sustain you as financial security is threatened. You may be or feel betrayed. Justice will be served, a decision will be made that serves a karmic purpose but there will be loss, financial most likely, and life will be "topsy-turvey" in terms of a change you have no physical/temporal control over. This leads to a significant change in your life, the "death" of an old way of being or the possible passing of an actual person. The message here is to take the highest position, maintain an overview and "take the long view" of the situation.

I was strongly reminded here of a situation someone I knew was in once at work, where she had a job she had done very well at and impressed her new boss and co-workers. Then, a new woman was hired who was jealous of her success, seduced the boss, told him lies about my friend and tried to get her fired. My friend did not retaliate in kind or tell the boss anything bad about this individual. But she did get fired! In the long run, of course, it led to better things, but her life was completely turned upside-down for a while.

Hi Zelda  I hope this is helpful in some way....

Position 1; past; Eight of Swords reversed: This card inverted indicates a breaking free of bonds. Upright, the eight of swords represents someone who believes they are trapped in a situation and that they have no control over the outcome. When inverted, the card indicates that they person it represents has made changes in their own attitude and beliefs that have brought them back to their own power.

Position 2; present; 5 of Swords reversed The 5 of Swords inverted indicates a person who has had to do a tremendous amount of "letting go of something"(S.Anastasi). They have hit rock bottom, come through this process where so much letting go was necassary, and are now on their way back up. Upright, the card represents a loss of faith, but inverted, that faith has been restored.

Position 3; outcome/advice; 8 of Wands The 8 of Swords is the card of communication, although it can also indicate air travel. When this card is upright, the communication is happening successfully. People feel heard and understood, and know that their thoughts and feelings matter. This card can also indicate the need to communicate over distance either by phone, internet, or letters.

My Summation: The story I get from this reading is that at one time, not too long ago, you had a sense of being trapped in circumstances you did not believe you had any control over. The moment that you realized that that is an illusion you were able to break free and begin the process letting go of things that were dragging you down. You do have the ability to make the changes necessary to stabilize your situation, and the courage to let go of "things" and simplify your life. To make sure your recent move remains positive, make sure the lines of communication stay open in your family, and that everyone feels heard, understood, and valued.

Another card, the 2 of Pentacles, popped out of the deck four times as I was getting ready to do your reading. The 2 of Pentacles indicates that there is some "juggling" going on in your life and maybe you might be feeling the pressure of keeping all of your balls in the air.

Hi, Zelda!

I'm very new at this, so please be patient. As a matter of fact, I have never done this for anyone else before. :surprise: For that reason, I have kept it simple.

I pulled one Oracle Card from an Angel Deck by Doreen Virtue, then supplemented it by pulling only one card from a classic Tarot deck.

Here are the results.

Oracle Card:

Grace and Antoinette: To help heal a certain situation, another person's point of view must be seen with compassion.

Additional Message: A misunderstanding may have occurred because of judgments about another person's motives or character. To heal the situation, the judgments need to be released. Know that everyone is doing the best they can.

Someone may be projecting something from his/her own shadow side onto another person. So, this situation could be an opportunity to clear away an ego issue. It may help to affirm willingness to release that part of oneself that becomes irritated with the other person.

The situation can be healed if everyone forgives and forgets judgments and acts responsibly. Compassion is the key.

Tarot Card:

King of Swords: The King of Swords sets aside personal bias and prejudice to base his advice and judgments on sound discernment and universal wisdom.

Some food for thought -

1) Who, or what, is being analyzed or criticized, and by whom?

2) Is someone's integrity or ability being questioned?

3) Is someone's judgment clouded or distorted?

4) Is there balance between intellect and feelings?

In summary, the cards suggest to me that there may be a situation that needs healing by releasing negative feelings, showing more compassion, and seeing another person’s point of view. It’s time to set aside personal bias and let go of the ego. The other person’s inner strength and Godliness need to be acknowledged.

Thank you for allowing me to participate. I welcome your comments and feedback.

Jude :)

Zelda, thank you for letting me do this reading for you.

The deck I'm using is the classic Rider-Waite. I did a two card reading. The first position symbolizes your "Current Situation" and the second symbolizes your "Challenge".

I include the links to the cards themselves and I encourage you to look at the cards themselves and note how you feel about the imagery and symbolism yourself.

Current Situation - 4 of Swords. (click here to view the card (http://www.learntarot.com/bigjpgs/swords04.jpg))

A knight rests in a church with his hands folded in prayer, aimed up at the sky (heaven). Swords signify struggle and thought, 4's signify earthiness, groundedness and foundation.

This card is sometimes known as "The Hermit's Repose". It signifies rest after a struggle, before the next turn of events. It suggests that it's time to rest and regroup, and evaluate past events so that you can learn from them and move on more efficiently. Even though the knight is resting, in no way does this card signify that the action is over; just the opposite, it's simply a lull in the action.

His hands folded in prayer suggests that it's time to also seek answers from heavenly sources (we see this in your request for a reading!). Hidden in the halo of the figure in the stained glass is the word "PAX" meaning "peace" suggesting that it's time to find peace in your own repose.

Contemplation and withdrawal are the keywords here, suggesting it's time to "sleep on it".

Challenge - Knight of Wands (click here to view the card (http://www.learntarot.com/bigjpgs/wands12.jpg))

A knight holds his wand and balances himself as his horse rears up. Three pyramids in the distance remind of us body, mind, and spirit. Salamanders on his garment symbolize spiritual protection. (In myths, the salamander could go through fire without being burned.)

Knights signify messages (messages that come in many forms, letters, phone calls, or even another's actions) or the coming and going of a matter. Wands signify business or family concerns, growth, action and enterprise. (Tarot author Arlene Tognetti says this card can represent "a change of residence" so this may be a validation for you.)

This knight is "Off to the Races!" He's hasty, and not one to wait around. He likes to act, and doesn't have patience for long drawn-out decision making. But as we see his horse is up on his hind legs, this knight needs to know how to balance that hastiness with good decision making, if that "wands" growth is to happen.

If this is the action after the "lull" above, then the suggestion is to be ready for anything, and to be ready to act quickly. In this upright position, it signifies good news in the message, and growth, as long as you are ever ready to act on a moment's notice.

I hope this reading was helpful to you Zelda. Thank you again for allowing me and the other readers to do these readings for you!

First, I should say I don't use Tarot. I am using the Messages from Your Angels Cards. I am doing this last minute rush, so forgive me for not being as thorough as I'd like
I did a simple four card spread: What the Angels Want You to Know

Card one represents the general response/theme to the situation. I pulled Zanna. Zanna tells you that what happened in the past doesn't matter; your present and future are now safely protected. No lower level energies can reach you; only the energy of love will be permitted to enter where you and your loved ones reside.

Card two represents possible blocks. The angel Isaiah as the obstacle card tells me that you are hesitatnt to fully embrace new ideas and situations in your life. You are lacking trust in the outcome. You are a worry wart.

Card three is the angels guidance to heal and get you past this block. This card is the angel Caressa. She tells you that you have reached the end of a cycle in your life. You may feel some sadness, but it's really a blessing. It might be a good idea to keep a journal, or even join a support group of some sort. Ask the angels to guide and comfort you as you take the next step. The help has presented itself, don't be afraid to reach out and take it.

The fourth card is the likely outcome. The angel Aurora was the card drawn for you. You are on an upward trend. Some may feel threatened by the changes in your life. Don't let them weigh you down. Focus on NOW and trust that God will take care of you. You have achieved something that you weren't sure you'd be able to do. Let go of the worry and Enjoy it!

Hi Zelda!

Card 1: 7 Wands Position: Past of the matter

This shows me that your family has worked very hard for what they now have and has overcome a variety of obstacles to get there. Perhaps a divorce/separation has taken place? This move did not come easy for you. You always knew you'd "get there", the only questions were "how?" and "when?"

Card 2: Justice (reversed) Position: Present situation

Are there legal matters with relation to your home going on right now? This feels like a strong factor in your life right now. I'd say be very careful to dot your I's and cross your T's on any legal issues/documents that may come up in the next few weeks or so.

Card 3: Page of Wands (reversed) Position: Future 3 months

I feel like you need to be very decisive and hold a "take charge" attitude with all aspects of your new home in the coming months. Go with your gut, it won't steer you wrong ;)

Hi Stephanie -

Thank you so much for your reading. I really connected strongly with the first 2 cards.

Ace of Swords
Definitely a new beginning - just like starting over for us and not something that we would have guessed that we would ever do! We not only moved, we picked up and moved across the country without any family or friends around. I completely understand why this card separated itself. A new place mentally, too, at least for me. I think it will be a good time to stretch out and grow. My husband has already done that by accepting his new job. For me, it is good advice as I am often cautious of changing my way of thinking or doing.

Queen of Pentacles
I didn't initally connect with this one at all...until your comments about maybe it's my turn to step into the light. My mother and grandmothers are all on the other side, unless this is my mother's way of coming through - that would make a lot of sense. When you said "everyone will come to her to find something", I got goosebumps because that is EXACTLY what has been happening lately to me. My husband is constantly looking for things and asking me where they are! So I think this represents me, is that possible? It also connects with something Maria V. told me about my chart and how home and family are very important to me.

The Fool~Reversed
I'm not sure if this has more to do with the future. There are a number of small details that haven't worked out the way I wanted.
Actually, I think now that this is more a message to me about not judging too quickly and to stay and work things through as I have been second-guessing the move at times.

Overall, this was an incredible reading and I wouldn't have guessed that you were new at this! I take away a very positive message from the cards - that in the end we will make this work, particularly if I put forward the extra effort to make it happen. You should trust your insights because they were right on!

Many blessings,

Hi Freewillin -

I couldn't believe it. A friend just brought over a sunflower which we planted in the yard...and we are constantly looking for the sun since we now live in the often gray and cloudy Northwest. Also my daughter had the TV on today and when I looked up at it I saw a sunflower! But let me start at the beginning...

Card 1 - see my comments to Clasclar regarding the move. This is truly the unknown to us. A dark haired, young friendly man seems to come up again with card 5? This could be someone I have met recently who I feel is going to be able to help me on my right path. Will let you know.

Card 2 - My journey home. Someone close to me has told me that this move has brought me to my heaven so I think this is the same message. Except for the literal "sun" message and sunshine plays a huge role in lifting my emotional outlook. Not sure about the 19th connection.

Card 3 - I can connect with this card too, not from a material sense but from an intellectual one. I'm looking past the answers..yeah, I get that..not trusting my intuition and what is right in front of me.

Card 4 -I think this has to do more with my being emotionally withdrawn with new people I am meeting, not my loved ones. It's a trust issue and a life lesson for me. The someone who is not happy could be my daughter who is sometimes having trouble adjusting.

Card 5 - The mysterious dark man...I do feel limited strength right now which is the reason for my question. I take away the same message as I did from Clasclar's reading..hang in there!

Don't know a Brad or understand the wheel image right now.

This was a wonderful reading and I thank you for it. It was also very helpful to have you list the elements and the questions with each card.

Many blessings,

Zelda6 http://www.friendscommunities.org/images/smile/yin-yang.gif

Hi Theophilia -

Thank you so much for your reading. It's very interesting that you didn't read the question and I completely understand why you didn't.

Many things do make sense in terms of the question. The success in a group is my husband's which is why we moved for a new job. We are content as a family with the move. Obviously, change in a big way, again the major life change, and life completely turned upside-down, energy depletion - that's how I feel now. There has been a "death" of the old way and I need to be reminded to take the long view.

The one thing I don't connect with relates to the dishonest person and the threat to financial security and justice being served. Maybe this is something in the next few months? I'll let you know. Any meaning to having 4 of 10 cards upside-down or reversed? Is that unusual?

Many blessings,

Zelda6 http://www.friendscommunities.org/images/smile/yin-yang.gif

Freewillin -

I just saw Shanti's reading and laughed when I saw the Angelina Jolie reference. Because when you came up with Brad in my reading..I was going to say that the only Brad I "know" is Brad Pitt! I don't know what the connection is here, but it's wierd, isn't it?

First of all I hope you had a very Happy Birthday Zelda!! :cake2:

And I want to thank you so much for your feedback and comments!!

I am really laughing out loud here about the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie thing.
I was just looking over Shanti's readings too and got to the one I did and nearly hurt myself laughing that I heard Brad on yours and saw Angelina Jolie on hers...I don't know maybe my mind was connecting the dots with hearing Brad one night... and hearing "Angela" the next night. :hmm: Very weird!! rofl

Thank you again! And blessings to you and your family!

Happy Belated Birthday Zelda! I hope you had some fun with a night on the town. :)

Thank you so much for the feedback. It provides a learning circle in which I in turn learn from your observations.

I would say that since your grandmother and mother are both on the Other Side, then I would think the message is for you. Especially if your family looking at you in the role of "She knows where everything is." and it correlates to something already provided to you.

I thank you for the positive comments. I haven't been doing this very long, so it's nice to hear the sincerity in your voice.

Blessings always,

Zelda6's question:

What do I need to know to ensure that my family's recent move has positive results over the next year?"

I used a three card spread for your question Zelda.

Past Page of Wands - Reversed This card reversed represents bad news. Perhaps you were moving from an unstable environment, possibly a break up involved. (the page represents a broken heart for women).

Present Seven of Cups This card represents dreams, "castles in the air" and imagination. This could be interpreted many ways but I read it as a sign that you may be too scattered and a warning to keep yourself grounded in the here and now, especially financially. Don't take successes for granted.

Future Knight of Wands - Reversed The Knight reversed represents many things, one being a change of residence. Reversed he brings discord and frustration, perhaps another move?

Two Wands in spread: Wands represent change; looks like there is more in store for you in the coming year.

Summary: I'm not very good at the summary part, so bear with me :)
I think you moved because you either were not happy or there was a break up of some sort. I think this was a good move (cups) but that you need to conserve your resources because change is in the air still! Beware scattering your resources too much, stay level and grounded. The future brings on more changes; is it possible you will move yet again? There will be much frustration with this situation throughout the year to come. I wished that I had done a more in depth reading after I saw the future card as the news was not the greatest (or the worst!). You wanted to know what you can do to help this move be more positive; I think the seven of cups gives us that answer: conserve and keep grounded :)

Hope this helps Zelda, best wishes.

You know, it actually said in the interpretation for one of the cards trhat it could be about the spouse, but I didn't include it because, like I said, I overinterpret. But then, maybe you will be involved in some new group in your new setting. So maybe we will see. If it is about your husband, then maybe there will be this situation for him in his new job.

Or - maybe I am just wrong!! ;)

Oh, I forgot. In my reading on the topic there is nothing unusual about cards being reversed, it's just a way to get more information. It would be very unusual, at least statistically unlikely, to have no or all cards reversed. I think. Other readers, what say you?

T-

Pam

There are several schools of thought (of course!, we're talking tarot!) and some schools say reversals are negative in energy (warnings); some say it means the opposite of the upright position of the card; and my favorite says, that it's just an indication of the energy swing of that card. In other words, it might mean you're just coming into the energy (or the card's meaning) , or moving away from the energy that the card depicts.

I was taught to read each card invidually and then stand back and analyze the whole picture, i.e., is there pre-ponderance of a certain number, suit, minor arcana, major arcana, and I was even taught to look for a pattern in colors as meaningful.

Depends on the reader (of course!) but if it were my reading and a majority of the cards were reversed, I'd say that things might be up in the air right now and that the wheels of fortune were a'turnin' and haven't landed anywhere yet. But that's how I'd do it, it's Theo's reading, she and you (of course!) have final say.

I certainly have had readings where either NO cards were reversed or ALL of them were.

Now that I've read what everyone else's reading had to say, the cards that came up during my reading make more sense. I neglected the male tie to this (husband) or that a "break up" could be analogous to switching jobs...many things I see clearer now.

Thanks for letting me read for you Zelda, I hope you are able to make sense out of the cards that came up for you :) I'm still very new to this process.

Tammy

Agree that reversed meanings can be tricky and are up to the descretion of the reader and querant. I always was taught it meant the reversal of meaning, but through practice I'm seeing where it can mean a passing of a situation or a lessening in it's influence. That's when I try to look at the other cards and what they say; do they reinforce a reversed meaning; or do they suggest that the influence is passing.

Great question...hard to answer though ;)

Hi Theo -

It could possibly be that I will be involved in a group. One of the questions that I wanted to ask was about my career - so we'll see.

Hi Phigalilly -

Thank you so much for your reading. I think it really connected with me at a very deep level. The first 2 cards are definitely talking about me dealing with a painful experience in my past. I have done a lot of work to change my way of thinking about the situation and taking back my power. This is also the "letting go of something". The third card relates to the first two for me - it is all about finding my own voice, literally. Of course, moving across the country brings a lot of air travel and a lot of long distance communication. Also, the 2 of Pentacles and "juggling" makes a lot of sense.

I frankly am surprised at what you picked up here, but the "breaking free" is the physical move as well as the emotional freeing. A very powerful and moving reading for me.

Many blessings,

Congratulations! I am honored and blessed to be the first person you have read for and I thank you. I wasn't aware of an Angel Deck by Doreen Virtue but I have recently become very interested in her work.

To be honest, the answers tell a story but I'm not sure how or if it relates to my move. It may reference my own healing with the past (see my response to Phigalilly) or it may just be some guidance relative to my relationship with my husband. It is a wonderful message which I connect with and I think is part of my life lesson of healing and compassion and finding one's own power. I am sorry I cannot relate to it specifically at the moment but will let you know what happens.

I hope you will continue reading and I am thinking of giving it a try myself soon. I can't imagine what it feels like to be on the other side (of the reading...not THE Other Side!).

Many blessings,

A question for the readers -

In just the 1st 5 readings, I've noticed the the Ace, King, Queen, and Knight of Swords have all appeared right-side up. Would anyone like to interpret this? What is the overall meaning for Swords?

Thanks.

Many swords in an individual reading usually mean strife, quarrels that type of thing. I did notice that these cards repeated through your readings, but am uncertain if it would mean the same thing.

You can look up any card on Learn Tarot (http://www.learntarot.com/chcc.htm) just click on the cards link at the bottom of the page to look up any card. I hope this helps Zelda :)

Best wishes with your move!

Thanks.Tammy is right, but again, with tarot, there are no hard and fast rules. I believe it depends on how the reader was taught and how the reader interprets the cards.

It's my firm belief and opinion that our guides rifle through the databanks of our (the reader's) brain for symbolism, and then pick the cards that will get their message through to the querent/sitter. For example, just like they use John Edward's extensive 60's television memories to get him to say particular words or describe events, they do the same with us when we read.

Again this is only my opinion, but I feel....If they (the guides) want to communicate conflict and strife to the sitter, and the reader sees swords as conflict and strife, then the guides will put those cards in the reading.

Even though I see swords as possible conflict too, to me they also symbolize mental activity (sometimes in excess) instead of using your gut or emotion to guide you. They also represent communication, representing the element of air. So see? It depends on how the reader interprets the cards, based on other cards, etc.

It's my feeling that with these group readings, if you're trying to analyze the readings together as a whole (and I think that's a good idea) it's best to do that based on the interpretations, not the cards themselves. For example, freewilling and I both pulled the Knight of Wands in your readings, but we interpreted the card in some similar, yet slightly different ways.

I don't know it that helps, or makes it clear as mud.

Hi Pam -

Actually your explanation and Tammy's are very helpful. I am learning a lot about the process of Tarot reading and I hope others are too.

Thank you!

Pam -

Thank you so much for starting up these readings again and for the time and energy which you put into my reading.

Current Situation:
I think the resting and struggle and thought ties into the healing that I mentioned earlier. The part about seeking answers from heavenly sources is fascinating to me because I have been doing that a lot lately. I do not think it was just "coincidence" that I happened to log on (at not my normal time of day) to see that you had started up the readings again so I could be first on the list! I have been noticing 11:11 on the clock almost daily which has been freaking me out a little. When I looked at the card, I saw the dagger going through the heart, which to me also symbolized the grief I felt with my mother's passing and moving on from that. When I read the description with the card, I also saw "giving your body time to heal" and I connect with that strongly. (I don't know if you meant for me to read the possible interpretations of the card but I did!)

The Challenge:
Here the spiritual protection is key. I have been regularly surrounding myself with the white light and asking for help with different things. I wonder whether the messages could mean messages from our loved ones and guides and angels. I don't know quite what to make of the need to act quickly and be ready for anything except to say that that does not describe me and is probably something that I need to be doing and perhaps to be prepared for whatever else might happen.

This reading was very helpful to me. I love the reference to connecting with the heavenly sources and understand the need to continue working in that area. Maybe learning tarot is my next step!

Many blessings,

First of all, I love the fact that you used the Angels Cards! I have just recently becomed interested in angels. The cards you drew are right on. I have been hesistant to fully embrace our recent move and do lack trust in the outcome. This was the reason for my question and I am so pleased that the outcome looks positive. I have been wanting to keep a journal for a long time - so I was suprised to see that here also. To know that I am protected and that no lower energies can reach me is very comforting. I think your reading follows nicely with Pam's also - or at least that is the way I am seeing it.

Thank you so much for the reading, Marcia. I feel blessed to be given some understanding of what the angels want me to know.

Many blessings,

Thank you for your reading.

Card 1 - yes, we worked hard to get where we are. I see the "divorce/separation" as relates to our families and friends, and not specifically to our relationship.

Card 2 - I'm clueless here. No legal matters at all. WIll let you know if this happens and will be careful.

Card 3 - Sounds like it could relate to the legal matters.I will definitely go with my gut and see what happens.

Many blessings,

Zelda, thank you so much for the careful consideration you put into each reading, and then taking the time to write thoughtful responses to each. You have truly helped us on our tarot journey.

I do hope you take up the tarot, if only as a tool of self-discovery on your own path. At the very least - it gets you thinking. At the most, it's messages from your guides.

Thank you to all the readers who also took time to do the readings and then write them out here. I think we have some wonderful energy beginning to build back up again

Now that Zelda has replied to each reading, I'm moving the thread to the Cartomancy folder, but the thread is still open for replies, comments, questions and suggestions by all members

Zelda,

I just want to thank you for taking the time to give such great feedback to each person who laid out a reading in answer to your question. It is truly helpful, and I think in my case, raises my confidence level. I look forward to trying this again.

Blessings to you and your family!

Pam -

I still have to reply on Pysquestor's reading. Hope to do that late in the day. Since there were 9 readings altogether, it's taken me longer than I thought. And it is so interesting to take them as a whole and see how they relate to each other.

Hi Tammy -

I think your reading ties in with many of the others. And now, of course, I have explained the situation in greater detail so you can connect it even more. The past was maybe not "bad news" but rather a situation which had a lot of negative energies. And again you mention the broken heart and I relate that to the card Pam pulled with the dagger through the heart representing healing and grief.

The present - I could interpret dreams as this move helping us reach our dreams. Not sure if that is what the card intends (I didn't look at it). I don't see the financial issues but I do understand needing to stay grounded.

Future - The Knight of Wands appeared in Pam and freewillin's reading but here shows up reversed. Tammy, or other readers, can you interpret that for me? I guess it is possible that we will move again but at this point I think it is highly unlikely since I asked about the next year and we have only been here 4.5 months. So I hope you are wrong on the move Tammy but I'll let you know.

Thank you for your time and energy which you have put into my reading.

Many blessings,

A big thank you to all of the readers who have done such a great job. You really helped me gain a better understanding of not only how I can make the move a positive experience but how I can advance my own spiritual growth.

I am sure that these readings were a gift from my mother on the Other Side. The reason I say this is because last year just before my birthday I was at one of JE's seminars - my first time. He asked for those with June birthdays to stand up. He then picked me (and several others) out of the audience. As I was waiting to see what he was going to do, I asked my mother to give me a sign to acknowledge my birthday...and since we didnt' get a reading that night I told myself that we would have to go to a small group reading in New York. Well, the next thing I hear John say is - "Congratulations - you're going to New York!" And now this year, I just happen to log on right when Pam posts that the readings are starting up again and it happens to be right before my birthday! No such thing as coincidence, right?

I am looking forward to the other readings and maybe even trying to be a reader myself.

Many blessings and sincere appreciation to all and thank you Mom!

I do want to mention that when I first drew the single Tarot card for your reading, I drew the Queen of Swords. Then, I realized that there were some cards that weren't in the deck when I shuffled -- a few were left in the box. Not knowing how to handle the situation, I started over from the beginning, re-shuffling, praying, repeating your question. That's when I drew the King of Swords, which I used in your reading.

Interesting that it was another of the Swords that appeared, though. :hmm:

Hi Stephanie -

Well, talk about psychic! I wanted to let you know about your reading. You know the Queen of Pentacles that you drew for me? I kept thinking - there is no strong aunt or female and particularly no one stepping forward to help with my move because I moved across the country.

WRONG! Last Thursday night my best friend (who is a year and a half older) shows up on my doorstep. A complete surprise and shock to me! She and my husband were keeping her trip a secret. And what does she say but that she is here to help me unpack!!!

The description fits her also because she did not want to leave anything for other time and wanted to get as much unpacked and put away as she could in the 3 days she was here.

In retrospective, I see the card very differently and thought you would want to know. What do you think? Does this make sense?

Zelda,
I thank you for updating me. Hmm, maybe that card wasn't so far off as I thought it would be. If you see that card in a whole new light, then it was definitely made to happen. Everyone knows the saying by now, "Things happen for a reason."

How nice of a surprise with your friend showing up at your door to help you unpack. That also recently happened with me. I had a friend up here and we are getting an apartment together. (My own moving experience) Well as a surprise on the second day, my old roommates from college drove up to surprise me. It was a nice reunion, since I hadn't seen them all along with my friend since Christmas.

I'm glad that you understood your reading and it gives me a little extra confidence boost to know that I can do this, and to have faith in what I'm being shown and feeling.

Blessings,
Stephanie

Stephanie -

Thanks for the reply. Wow! It makes even more sense now that I know you had a recent similar experience with your move. Guess you were the one who could relate to the message. The fact that we had identical experiences is not a coincidence.

This is fascinating stuff! I am going to order my tarot deck and give it a try. You should have tremendous confidence that you can do this. Neither of us knew at the time how right on you were but my friend showed up a day or 2 after your reading.

Many blessings and continued faith in trusting your insights -
