Philadelphia, PA
late summer or early fall 1999 (can't remember the exact date)

Not read.
Book signed! (this was considered a book signing tour for One Last Time although it was not advertised that way - after the lecture and readings, people lined up to get their books signed - I didn't bring my book so I bought another one there and stood in line to get it signed.)

My goodness I guess I am below average here. :laff: as I have only been to 1.
Boston, March 2001
I skipped a business seminar to be there.

I brought 4 people with me. None of us got a reading, but one was validated when she saw the building the seminar was being held in. Her son had planned on going to this particular school. I would do almost anything to help this woman connect with her son.
Does anyone think the fact that her son and I share the same birthday could have meaning. Or the fact that she always felt her son guided her to her present job (that is where we met). Sorry, got off topic

BOSTON 2001 hopefully more coming soon.

Atlanta in June, 2001

We stood in line for three hours and enjoyed every minute!! Talked to people from several different states and developed quite a camaraderie with them.

We didn't have a reading, but our seats were in third row center and we had a clear view of John. I told my daughter later that we were close enough I could see his wedding ring!

Afterward, I asked my husband, the skeptic, what he thought, and he answered, "All I can say is, he was awesome."

Frist seminar was in Fresno, CA. Walked over 1 hour before start time to find line going around building for one complete block. (Still got in in time.)

Next was Jamestown, NY for the Lucy/Desi museum benefit.
Adorable little town and great venue. Wound up eating 2 extra tickets. Still didn't know how popular he was or how to find friends wanting tickets.

Others:
Atlanta, GA (Great venue - well handled)
Charlotte, NC (Security here was neurotic and confusing!)

RSVP for:
Phoenix, AZ Sept./Oct., 2004
Atlanta, GA Nov. 2004
AND any chance I get !!! I love to watch him work and be in the energy of the room.

I'm not sure about the exact dates, I could be off.

Atlantic City, December 2001 (I believe that was the date

Westbury, June 2002 - Meet Nauset112 (Susan) for the first time- my dad brought her sister thru.

Long Island, June 2003

Long Island, Sept 2003 - I had an extra ticket and Susan met me there

Long Island, May 2004

Going to New Brunswick - Nov. 2004

It looks like I've gone alot but I've tried to span then out, atleast 6 months apart. 2003 was a bad year for me so I think that is why I ended up getting tickets 2x so close together.

I first saw John on June 10, 2004 at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT.
WOW, was he awesome!!!! Unfortunately, I think I blew my chance for a reading that night by not having the courage to raise my hand to validate the messages that were coming through. Determined to try again(and to ease my guilt), my husband and I attended one of the smaller Bridges seminars on Long Island June 26, 2004. This time, people sitting directly in front of us, in back of us, and to our right all got readings. Additionally, a woman who had been sitting behind us initially and had moved to the center back area, also got read ~ Freaky!! I'm now convinced that there's some kind of a message here, but I'm not sure exactly what it is????? In an attempt to find out more about this process, I'm headed off to Westbury December 7th. rofl
I suspect this will be my last seminar for a while, unless, of course, John comes to CT again!!!! :lwink:

Hello I hope you get your reading, that first time and with so many people around I too was scared to put my hand up, but mind you I was also in an auditorium with about 4000 other people wanting the same thing, Still when something came up I had my sister along side me. I stuck my hand up regardless of how my sister felt, I could validate LOT and some I wouldn't because you could say it was a very very high profile case and there were others in the stadium that knew who I was. it was so inspiring. I knew that I could get my chance, I was so sure, if you know you are meant to get a reading then you will.

Okay, let me get my brain engaged. The first seminar was in Salt Lake City in the spring of 2000. (which was also the first time I "met" John in the physical. Jason came through in a reading) Then again in Denver in 2001. (He sent Carol out to find me in the audience before the show and she said "How will I know her? John said "Don't worry, she'll find you." She came out looking, I walked up to her, stuck out my hand. Before I could introduce myself, she said "Damn. I know. Sandy Goodman. Right?") Then in Las Vegas along with John Holland, Suzane Northrop, and Robert Brown. It's time for another one. It's been too long.

My last was the Bridges Seminar in Long Island. I know from other seminars if you think it's for you and you do raise your hand if it's not for you John will let you know. Our first seminar , Columbus, OH , my husband raised his hand and John said " hold that thought " it wasn't for us but it could have been, 2 women ,accident, one named Margaret ( his mom) hubby was disappointed but at the Bridges Seminar he got over it. She made a brief visit along with my mom and dad. As most of you know , from other postings I've done, it started with " who is having thyroid surgery ?" I didn't imediately raise my hand because I wanted to make sure but when he repeated the question and no one else responded I knew it was for me. I thank John for "my piece of cake"

With all the new members and numerous JE events lately -- seminars, Gallery-like seminars, Bridges seminars, etc. -- I thought it might be fun to *bump* this thread, and ask the question again:

Which JE seminars (or other events) have YOU been to?

Stephanie
06-24-2005, 08:08 PM
Definitely missed this thing the second time it went through. I've been to only one and it was the Pittsburgh PA seminar November of 2003 at the brand new David Lawrence Convention Center. My 3 friends and I drove all over western PA picking each other up so we could all go together.

I took it as a sign that two of my friends were supposed to be there for whatever reason, when they both approached me at work and asked if I had ever heard of a guy named John Edward and the show Crossing Over. ;)

Hey TXJude. I've been to two JE seminars and was blessed to have my Mom come thru. What a powerful experience. I was so nervous but John made it easy. It really helped me get through the initial grieving process. I know for sure that my Mom is right here with me. I thank JE for that!

Chicago, November 7, 2000
Milwaukee, June 9, 2001
Indianapolis, July 15, 2001
I have to update to add Chicago in June of 2002 and March of 2003 and the workshop of November 2003.

And there I called it quits. I cannot justify to my spirit guides or to God for that matter, taking up a seat that belongs to someone who needs that message more than I do. If I kept attending, I'd feel like I was being selfish. For me, 5 times (and a workshop) is the saturation level. I have to believe the Other Side wants us to go and live what we witness, and that is the best way to be a part of the process, instead of continuing to attend class.

I never stop learning, but I've learned the most important thing there is to learn about the purpose of the seminars. I don't have to tell you what that lesson is.

And to boot, with all the quotes I've heard and read personally from John himself about repeat attendees, I could not bring myself to have him see me in the audience one more time.

I am sad too, about the number of people who make it about John himself. The Other Side is crying out to be heard, "We're still here!" and they, and their world, can't be seen, like the forest for the trees. :(

I know my views may not be popular or easy to swallow.

I have to add Westbury Music Fair last December and John's appearance in Honolulu early April to the list. And, like Pam, I've begun to feel that since I no longer need to be read by John (although it would indeed be a marvelous treat), I'll be less inclined to try to attend unless he's too close to my area to pass up. That's not to say I'm as selfless as others who feel they might be sitting in a seat that someone else might have needed to occupy. I absolutely LOVE witnessing the process and wallowing in the pure exhilaration that permeates John's seminars. That in itself is a gift. I'm considering Philadelphia. Just considering. But if he ever makes it back to Baltimore, I'll be there. I owe him so much. (Plus he's cute.;) )

Fair enough Chassie.

But the Other Side is cuter ;) :)

It's been over a year since I last saw him. I'll be seeing him again next month on Long Island. Combining the seminar with seeing some good friends again. :)

I don't know how you remember all of those dates. Maybe it's my age. :hmm:

seminar, Chicago, April 29, 2004
seminar, Cincinnati, May 2, 2004
seminar, Chicago, May 20, 2005

That's all so far....I figure that I can justify going only when he's in Chicago...which is usually once a year. This year it's going to be twice with the gallery groups, but I just can't pass those up. I'm going (to one, not all  ) in August. This will be my first gallery group and I am very excited.

About the repeat attendee thing...I bet they would diminish a bit if JE were to come back to television...we miss watching the process and we miss him and his staff:love:

His show introduced him to people who would never have considered seeing a psychic medium before. There are a whole lot of people out there who never saw "Crossing Over" and who don't give psychic mediums a second thought.

The seminars and events bring back repeat attendees and are getting smaller because not many new people know about them. New people come to them because many repeat attendees bring them. "Crossing Over" brought new people to John's site, and the site is where the events are listed.

Oh my. ...how many seminars have I been to, lets see I cannot remember the dates only the places.

>Atlanic City, NJ - I know that was in Dec 2000 from someone else's post
>Westbury, NY
>3 times at a small gallery group in Huntington, Long Island, NY
>New Brunswick, NJ (this year)
and.........
>I am going July 9th in New Brunswick again.

Each time I have taken someone with me to teach them about the process and help them to appreciate the messages. I have had some amazing connections myself as me too's. Twice I came really close to an actualy reading but the messages I received from the me too's have stayed in my heart as I had heard them only moments ago. I enjoy watching John and the processes unfold in front of me that I come away from every event with some new bit of information.

When I go on July 9th, I am going alone for the first time to appreciate the message without teaching them. Sometimes the teacher has to take a break too. I am soooooooooo looking forward to it.

Probably not as many as some but.... Who cares ????
When I went to my "first" in Columbus I was really worked up hoping to get a reading. I was totally let down because I did not get it. I did not enjoy myself and the people I went with felt the same. As a matter of fact they were so disappointed that the said they would never go again ! :( that was ok with me. I don't need the negativity . After that I decide I would go to appreciate the process not base all my hopes to be read. ( subconciencely (sp? ) I definately wanted a reading ) There were a couple of "me too's" at some seminars and I was happy for a HEY! I really enjoy the way John relates to the group like the guy next door. I like his personality, jokes.:crowd: I have enjoyed meeting all my new "friends" and I meet more at every seminar. I will probably go to a few more times I know my son would like to go ( he wasn't with hubby and I when I got my reading) I know my cousin wants to go also but for me I had my wish granted and am happy that it happened. And I thank John Edward for that.

I was reluctant to do this, but I have to stand up and admit, I'm a repeat attendee. :) Here's my list:

Atlantic City, NJ. 12/07/2001 Seminar....Six months after my husband crossed over. My daughter, son, and daughter-in-law came with me. We had a fantastic reading by John and a lot of people came through, including my husband with his "Ditto" validation.

Orlando, Fl. 07/08/2002....Combined the seminar with a visit with my sister, introducing her to the message and John Edward. She was hooked.

Las Vegas, NV. 03/01/2003 .....Took my daughter with me to this once in a lifetime special John Edward event where we saw mediums Robert Brown, John Holland and Suzane Northrop. Absolutely incredible and we met up with a large number of friends from here. Priceless!

Orlando, Fl. 7/12/2003 and 7/13/2003... Another combined seminar event and visit with my sister. We were only going to go to the 7/13 one and booked a hotel room right next door to the convention center. When John added the second seminar the day before ours, how could we resist it? :( We met more great friends from here.

Long Island, NY. 9/11/2003....One of the early small Bridges Seminars. Took my daughter and our experiences going to the seminar on the anniversary of the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers were printed in John's Bridges newsletter.

Long Island NY all day workshop, 11/15/2003.... Treated my daughter and Daughter-in-law to this never to be forgotten event. I will remember it always. There were around 30 of us from here there.

Atlantic City, 12/05/2003 seminar.... My daughter and I love visiting AC and that was where we were originally read. We ended up staying in the hotel an extra night because of snow and ice. Met up with more "friends".

Long Island, NY., 05/10/2004...A small group seminar and Theophilia came with my daughter and me. It was her first time. We had a great ADC happen on the drive home which even surprised Theo. :)

I don't regret going to any of these events and we had some good "me toos" at all of them. Frogs are huge ADCs for us and John has unknowingly given them to us.

We don't need a reading and don't expect one but these events raise your spirits so high, they are hard to resist. You feel the joy and love from those around you who are hearing from their loved ones.

I've only been to the three I listed early on in this thread.

Columbus

Indy

Boston

I met up with some of the other moderators in Columbus so that was my favorite :D Kate was also there and we had a mini pajama party!! Found out that Ann Marie will eat Salmon for breakfast and that was a shock to my system! (I'm not much on seafood). Went with Scott to the Indy one, we had a good time though it was a long long drive! Pam, Don, Bea, Cyndy, Ann Marie and Tigger were all there. We had a great dinner at a nice restaurant. There were lovely little signs everywhere :) Went with my little brother to the one in Boston, on my Dad's b-day and had a me too reading. You'd think that would be my favorite one because I just LOVE Boston, but really it wasn't. I did get to meet some great people from the site there (esp Delusionalblond!!!) but it was rainy most of the time and I was not able to enjoy myself as much as I wished I could. You can read about the me too in the testimonials section if you're interested.
