I just received this book from Amazon and I have to say that I'm really impressed with it. In addition to a description of each card and "general meaning" there are six addtional question specific meanings included.

The book says that usually a question will fall into one of six catagories: Work, Romance, Finances, Health, Spirituality or Empowerment.

For example we'll look at the Lovers:

Meaning: This card is about choices, duality and decisions that sometimes concern a love affair. It points to sudden and unexpected changes in a relationship, adjustments in your love life that work in your favor, a choice between security and some sort of personal work.
Part of the Lover's work is to make us aware of the duality of our own natures and how it affects our close personal relationships. It's associated with teh sign of Gemini, the twins of the zodiac.

In a reading: A new relationship is just around the corner or a current relationship is about to go through big changes. YOu feel divided about a major issue or relationship in your life. Your heart whispers one tale, your head screams another.

Work: You're facing a decision, and once you make it, expect improvement in your work/career. Something that looks negative on the surface turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Your're charmed by someone you work with and feel conflicted about taking the relationship further. Go with what feels right.

Romance: Decision time. The relationship you're involved in is going through a tense, bumpy period. You or your significant other feel attracted to someone else but don't know how to verbalize it. You would liek to ignore the situation and hope it goes away. Avoid confrontation. Attempt a gentle but honest discussion. Paired with the High Priestess or a court card, it often points to something hidden in a relationship. An extra marital affair or secrets that need to come out into the open. Someone - a family member, friend or coworker - is interfering in yoru marriage or relationship.

Finances: Burdens ease once you make a decision about something that affects your pocketbook. Money comes through cooperation, partnership, or the bringing together of a coalition of forces working for a common goal. Now is the right time for you and your significant other to go into business together.

Health: You must decide wheather go through medical tests or changes in lifestyle. Get a second opinion on any diagnosis. Try out various therapies, both conventional and alternative. Use visualizations and affirmations. Probe to understand your core beliefs about health, illness and the body's integrity.

Spirituality: Gain through travel to exotic, mysterious locations. Sample weekend seminars and workshops on the practical application of metaphysics. Past life information helps heal a spiritual maliaise.

Empowerment: Decide. And then move on, secure in the knowledge that your choice is the right one.

See how the meaning alters with the question? Not too much with this card ( except with the spirituality one) it gives you more insight into meaning specifics and this would be especially helpful to beginners in my opinion.

At the back of the book there are over one hundred different spreads to choose from. These are also geared toward specific types of questions. It is easy to find many spreads that are specific to health, love or work etc. The layouts range from one card to a twenty four card spread (wow!).

I hope to post some of these layouts in the future; I'm really excited about the book. The only thing I did not like were the illustrations. There are NO illustrations of the cards themselves, and zero pictures throughout the book. The only illustration is of the placing of cards in spreads. This works though and it's all the illustration one really has to have :)
