Here's a nice review of the returning NBC show, "Medium". I found it it in the Sept. 18-24th issue of TV Guide, on page 28. The new show starts this Monday, 10pm EST.
There's a cute picture of Allison playing cards with Joe. She has a big grin on her face, as she rakes in all the poker chips. :) Joe looks upset. :D
MEDIUM - from TV GUIDE
WHERE WE LEFT OFF: Allison’s (Patricia Arquette) search for a serial killer with old pal Captain Push (Arliss Howard) left her dealing with two troubled men. A guilt-ridden Push prepared to end his life so he could help her solve the crime from the Other Side, while her irritated husband, Joe (Jake Weber), complained when Allison stood him up.
PUSH COMES TO SHOVE: After Captain Push appeared in the show’s pilot, Medium creator Glenn Gordon Caron knew he had a great character on his hands. But will he stick around after the second-season premiere? “If he’s dead, you’ll see more of him,” says Caron, “And if he’s alive, you’ll see more of him. This is one of the few shows where you can kill a character and they can still get back on.”
SPOOKY SECONDS: Howard isn’t the only returning guest star. Hints Caron: “It wouldn’t surprise me if some bad guys came back.”
POP (SONG) PSYCHIC: Expect a story line in which “Allison literally gets a song stuck in her head and can’t get it out,” says Caron. “In another episode, we explore Allison’s life as a girl, and you’ll get a lot more insight into her life.”
SPEAKING HER MIND: Allison’s days of trying to keep her psychic abilities secret are numbered. Says Caron: “The real Allison (DuBois) eventually had to say, ‘Here’s who I am. Here’s what I do.’ So the show’s Allison will have to do the same.”
