First off, the minute that I saw she was having a seminar in NC I jumped right on her website and got a ticket. Even though I knew that money at the moment for me is tight and then there's that dreaded 5 hour drive, I just REALLY wanted to go. These things just don't come around that often around here.
Then there were complications. Like for instance work and I wasn't sure if it was going to happen.
But I decided that if I'm supposed to go THEY (the guides) will find a way for it to happen. And they did.
Let me tell you, IT WAS AWESOME!!! SHE is awesome!
AND I GOT READ!!!
I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
There's so many cool things that happened and it's all such a jumble now that I don't even know where to start.
So, I'll begin by telling you about the size of the group. Bascially, it was about the same as one of JE's gallery-like seminars. About 150 to 200 people in a meeting room at a hotel. Most of the people were from NC but somehow I sat next to a two people from SC without even knowing it until later on.
She started of by introducing herself and gave us a brief history of how she came about her gift. She doesn't like to be called psychic but rather intuitive and when someone asks her what she does, she tells them she's an author. ;)
Then we were allowed to ask some general questions. Most of it is stuff we've already heard but a lot of these people were pretty much new to spirituality.
Most had gotten a ticket after hearing her on a local radio show and wanted to check her out.
Then she did a few random readings. She started out with a young black woman way in the back who had gotten there a 4pm and waited until 6 to get in. Mary Jo seemed very impressed with that and gave her a small reading about her career. I think she said that the woman was a pilgrim and that she would be involved in new frontiers. She also gave small details about her life that she acknowledged.
OK, this kind of freaked me out but this woman sitting right next to me stood up to ask a question about her deceased father. Nothing Mary Jo said was making any sense to her but it made a whole lot of sense to me. Mary Jo said that the man had strawberry blonde hair and it was thinning on top. She said something about alcohol and that there was a falling sensation.
Well, my dad had that kind of hair and it was thinning.
He had an alcohol problem.
And he died in an accident at work from some carbon blocks weighing 1,800 lbs. that FELL from a crane.
She also mentioned that he was mad about something that had happened about 4 years before he died.
I don't know what that could be but it's possible there were lots of things. Take your pick.
I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be a relative stealer and besides that, it was happening so fast that all I could think was maybe this woman was so focused on getting a message from her dad that maybe she just wasn't acknowledging this other person coming through.
So, she moved on to the next person.
Now, she was pulling tickets that we had turned in from a wine glass on the table next to her.
There were two more readings I think and then all of a sudden I thought to my guides, " I DO want a reading, I DO want a reading."
This may sound strange but I've been to three of JE's seminars and the first time I was too scared to get a reading, the second HE was too depressed and I knew he didn't want to do a reading involving someone who died from cancer, the third I just knew there was no way it would happen, but I just wanted to go anyway.
This time I REALLY wanted a reading and I KNEW it could happen.
THEN she pulled MY ticket and I got to ask a personal question.
So, I asked her what my purpose in life was.
She said that I was here to articulate and express myself and that when I was younger that I wasn't able to and that and people in my family had held grudges.
Which is all very true.
There was so much tension between my step-dad and my mom that I pretty much lived in my room growing up. I would just go there and shut the door and read books, draw, listen to music and daydream. I did my best to just try and stay out of the way. My step-dad was always complaining about something and it was usually my fault.
He's come a long way and he's a lot different now but back then I couldn't stand him.
She also said that I would have a wonderful life. She said that the worst of it was behind me and that 2004 had been a bad year.
Yep, I'll agree with that. Although, I'd like to know when the wonderful part will start. Granted, it hasn't been horrible lately but I'm ready to start feeling GOOD again. So, wonderful kinda makes me suspicious. Like for instance does that mean I don't have a lot of time left here on earth? I'm a tad worried. :laff:
She also said that there would be new people and involvement in groups.
I'm ready for that too.
Basically, she told me exactly what I wanted, NEEDED, to hear.
Other people didn't always get what they wanted to hear but they got what they were supposed to hear.
One of the really cool things that happened was that she picked a lady to ask a general question.
The lady asked a personal question instead.
Mary Jo told her that she'd get to that later. I think because it wasn't fair to the rest of the audience.
She then picks a ticket from the glass and it was for that very woman who'd asked the personal question!
Mary Jo's like, "Isn't that freaky!, Isn't that weird?" She then said it was because that woman's husband wanted to make sure she answered the question.
Mary Jo also talked a bit about Bhrett.
Bhrett your mom adores you and I think she a bit in awe of you too. She said that her guide told her that one day you would be doing this type of work and that you would surpass anything she had done. She also told us a few stories of some psychic things you'd done when you were younger.
Don't let it go to your head. :lwink:
Overall, it was a fantastic evening. I started out tired and ended up totally energized. Mary Jo is southern hospitality in itself. She is funny, entertaining and very enlightning. I hope she comes back, only maybe in my state?
But, she is totally worth traveling for.
So, if you ever get the chance to see her, you've just got to go. You won't be sorry.
You know, the whole trip just seemed symbolic. While driving there I thought that I'd made a wrong turn and that I had gotten lost. I was tired and a little dejected but then I realized that I was actually going in the right direction and that it was just a minor detour. Kinda like my life, I get tired and feel lost but then realize that I've done what I needed to do and I'm right where I need to be.
