Just called to wish my 6yr old grandson an early happy birtday.
I called to ask what presents he wanted, but he kept wanting to steer the conversation back to last week.
He said: "Grndma Julie did you know some real mean people who hate us took 3 big planes and crashed into bulidings and the people in the planes and building died?
I told him I knew, waiting to see what else he would say. He told
me it was sad that they would hate us and not really know us. He
pointed out maybe they weren't really mean, but just not taken
the chance to know us. He said he knew he was safe, and that I would never let them crash into his house. He did show great compassion for the kids who had a mom or dad or grandma die,
and he wanted to do something for them.
This was his plan. He wants to come to my house and get paid to do some chores and make a little money. Then he wants to take out the arts and crafts stuff (his mother won't let him keep the "messy things" at her house.) He is going to make cards for
the kids, of his design, and put a little money in each card for them.
Sorry I'm gloating. I'm just so proud.
Julie

Hey Julie,
After the events of recent weeks, it does a heart good to hear to hear something as lovely as this,he sounds a gorgeous little boy you must be very proud. My niece came out with something quite touching when my cousin died at 29, whenever we went on holiday my cousin would always come to see us and stay the night. The first holiday we took after Kevin died, my niece asked
what day Kevin would visit, when we once again told her that he was in heaven, she said that would,nt be a problem because my aunt could pick him up on the way! Thank goodness for their innocence. You tell that little grandson of yours that he will be talked about in the UK because thats dfinately a story for my workmates
Best wishes Sandra.

And lots os love and kisses to that special little boy.
