My 6 year old grandson, Joey, and my daughter are temporarily staying with me. Last night we all went to the Pizza Hut for dinner. Joey ate all the pepperoni off his pizza slices and left most of the rest of the pizza on his plate. It was a LOT of pepperoni slices.

Last night he had some fun during his bath. He decided to use a rubber tub toy to squirt soapy water into his mouth and spit it it. Some of it was accidently swallowed. :(

Unfortunately, all night long everything in his body came out at both ends. The yuck came out not just in the bathroom, but also on blankets, sheets, and the hall rug. My daughter stuck them all in the wash. Joey is much better this morning. :)

I got up early to let Gizmo, my ancient Yorkie Poo out to do his business. That involves shoving him out his doggy door which he hates. I went back into my bedroom to get dressed and walked into the kitchen. Gizmo had come back in. He decided to save his business for a kitchen rug. I saw it was a small pile and was pleased I hadn't stepped on it. I added the paper towels I used picking it up to the bag of them my daughter had used the night before. The bag was full and I took it out to the trash.

Coming in I saw three large poopy footprints on two more rugs. Somehow I had missed seeing Gizmo's second pile, a mountain of poo. Unfortunately, my shoe hadn't missed it. :( The Giz stood there with a smirk on his face. A whole lot of more paper towels, a a bunch of toothpicks, and a lot of effort cleaned up my shoe.

The last two rugs are in the wash. Fortunately I am able to see humor in some unfortunate events. :)

Gail - leave it to you to be able to find humor in that!

My daughter had a major bug about 3 weeks ago and for almost a full week I had to deal with "everything coming out at both ends" myself with her. I said to my husband "This is why we need to rip up our carpets and put down some beautiful hardwood floors!"

So maybe some redecorating will come out of my unfortunate yucky event...
But then again, with two small VERY active children, maybe I should wait another year or two before I do anything to this house! LOL

Love,
Maria

Awwww Gail! I guess that eliminates any comment about how your weekend went:D .

Giz knows where his heart lies doesn't he???

Let's hope Tuesday will be a better day for everyone. Glad little Joey is getting cleaned up [and out!]. He probably won't do that again for a while.

Our cocker spaniel (Buffy) ate a bar of soap one evening when we were out and I had soapy poopy ALL over the house. We think she must have liked the aroma of the soap because she had never done that one before and thankfully, never did it again. The soap got put up on the tray in the bathtub so she could not reach it.

Have a great week:hearts:

Maria, it's the Gemini in me coming out. We find a lot of humor in our lives.:D

It's easier and better for your health to smile than it is to cry.
