Like many of you, I attended John's New York November Workshop a few years ago. (It's hard to believe the time has passed so quickly.) In retrospect, I've realized that the high point and higher purpose-- of my trip, anyway,-- was meeting alot of the Friends I've met here on this board.

Having Pam come into the restaurant area and sit next to my husband and me, while I stared at her trying to decide if it was her, then jumping up and giving her a big hug a minute later; that was just the start of a great time. I met a lot of you there during that Workshop. And like I said, looking back, meeting you guys was even better than seeing and meeting John. I know now that he was not even close to the reason I was there.

What's really amazing about that trip, though, was who I didn't meet.

She was sitting to my left right in front of me and all I really remember is her dark hair.

I can't believe I was so close and we never even looked the other in the eye.
Now she's one of my favorite Friends. Bar none, and I've been doing Astrology for thirty years, she is one of the most natural astrologers I've ever met. Her knowledge and her ability to "read" a chart is simply remarkable.

And I've actually "met" someone who talks and thinks as fast as I do!

Sometimes I have to remind myself we never DID meet, because I just feel like I've always known her. When that's happened to you, knowing someone without "knowing" them, don't you feel like you're experiencing a miracle?

I also have been blessed to meet Friends in real time, and in real space (as if somehow this can't be real? Yet it is) and I also have been doubly blessed to meet and hold and hug Maria, and be a guest in her home, and to break bread at her table.

Maria is a blessing to us all, in so many ways, in astrology and in having her heart available to us.

I've also had the pleasure of meeting (((Maria))) in person at least three times. She is truly a beautiful person inside and out. There's a sense of joy and a sparkle about her. She's the type of person who gives of herself whenever she can.

Dawn, we do have alot in common - it's kind of freaky! It will be interesting to see where our common ground leads us in our lives. Maybe someday you'll end up at my house with Pam and Cindy and I'll get to feed you too! Warning though - I'm NOT a low fat cook!

Thank you all for making my birthday explode with love:love:

32 is going to be a good year. Aside from those stubborn gray hairs I'm beginning to notice more and more, I love being in my 30's. I bet the 40's are going to be even better (cause with life expectency today, 40 is like the new 30! LOL)

This weekend Al (did I mention he's the best husband in the universe?) took me to one of the fancy shmancy restaurants I enjoy going to in Manhattan.

By now, you all must realize what a food snob I am!:angel:
Anyway, it was wonderful. We shared a great bottle of Australian wine with our meal, and of course I had the chocolate tasting menu for dessert (Oh boy!)

My kids made it a very special day yesterday when they insisted I make two birthday cakes (vanilla frosting for Vincent and chocolate for Annamaria) and they blew out my candles and helped me make my birthday wish. It was cute - they both said it with me out loud (nope, I'm not telling what it is;) ):cake2:

My son, who is 6 1/2, gave me this spongebob diary that he recently began and asked me to read it. :tissue: It was all about me and filled with him writing about what he loves about me, pictures he drew, etc... and he plans on filling the book and giving it to me to keep. What an awesome present! He also made me some bookmarks out of construction paper (he knows Mommy loves to read!)

My daughter, 4 1/2, bought me a plant and made me a special card.
The best presents ever,from the best kids ever!


Since I've lost my battle with Al over moving, (I have a major moving itch lately) our compromise is a complete home renovation over the next several years. We're starting with the yard and a nice birthday surprise I got was that the architectural landscaper we hired is going to take my Nonna vegetable garden and turn it into a complete work of art. This is very exciting to me! What he plans to do to a relatively small patch of garden area absolutely blows my mind! I can't wait to see it:D

Anyway, as you can see, I had a great birthday, but reading all your posts really made it over the top special. Thank you all!
