Good Morning Bea! Well it's 2am EST here, but it's still considered morning.
I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to read for you this week. How is the quest of learning tarot going for you? Don't feel overwhelmed. I know it's alot of instincts and memory work, but you'll learn so much about yourself. :)
Before, I dealt the cards out for you, I wanted to let you know of some things that popped into my head while meditating. As soon as I got into a "rhythm", I kept hearing Uncle Kracker's song, "Drift Away" Two phrases that kept playing over and over again were "Free my soul..." and "Take me away." I had to chuckle a bit when I heard the latter because normally if I were going to get that phrase I'd hear the old Calgon commercial...Calgon, take me away!
For some reason, I also heard San Jose. I don't know if you have any connection to that city or the name. I would venture a guess it means San Jose California, but who knows...maybe you know another one.
I almost didn't write this down. But have you ever been to eat at an Outback Steakhouse? I kept hearing it's jingle. If you go to www.outback.com (http://www.outback.com) you'll hear it. How do I know what the jingle is, I've worked at that restaurant for 3.5 years. Who knows...it could because I worked tonight too, but we normally don't hear our jingle.
And finally, I can normally meditate for about an hour and a half before I start to get the pins and needles feeling in my legs. (I took an Eastern Religion class in college and one of the "extra credits" was to meditate with the professor for two hours.) Tonight, however, it happened after five minutes. So, I was wondering if this happens to you often and it bothers you.
I used my Sacred Rose tarot deck for your reading this morning, and I used one of my favorite spreads called, "The Trend" Variation 1.
"What do my guides want me to know about my career?”
1. What you already know. 10 of Wands You know you're being pinned and bogged down at owrk. It's getting to be too much for you to handle. You don't want to take on to much, but you may also feel like you are trying to hard to impress someone (ie..boss or coworker) with your skills. All they see right now is thatyou're tired or that whatever project you are working on, you're moving through it too quickly, and not giving it the time it deserves.
2. What you are good at. The Hermit You are not afraid to go out on your own and track down the answer. You go in search of the answer, and I wouldn't put it past you if your coworkers call you a good researcher. Does your career have something to do with learning, seeking out the truth, or looking for knowledge?...Researcher, teacher, philospher, librarian? I also wouldn't be surprised if your coworkers don't bounce spiritual ideas off you. There's a sense of balance of spirituality and career here that makes yo feel somewhat comfortable talking or expressing your spirituality among your coworkers.
3. This is still new. 2 of Cups Sharing your emotions and feelings and being apart of a partnership at work. Did you develop a deep personal friendship with an unlikely coworker? Don't be afraid of it. They understand that this is new for you. It's just like that. They know what you're going through and they will be there to support you. Be open around them and you'll learn so much. (Here, I heard the name Sophia.)
4. What you will learn. Strength How appropriate. What does everyone need while at work? Strength, courage, compassion, and a good cup of coffee. :coffee:  Utilizing your strengths will help you get through your work day. It'll show your boss that you're striving towards goals, but that you've also learned not to be byrnt out at the end of the day. So, as this is a Major Arcana card, this is a Life Lesson that you are learning. Remember, you may have to work hard to achieve your goals. Sacrifices may need to take place, but with strength comes victory, achievement, and success.
I hope you are able to take something away from this reading. Have you tried reading for yourself yet or asking this same question and drawing a single card? Follow your instincts and I'm sure they won't stear you wrong. :hearts:
Much love on your journey ahead,
Stephanie

Hi Bea!!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read for you. You are the first person for me to read for after a really really long break. I used the Sacred Rose Tarot cards, and used my 2 tarot books and my impressions for your interpretation. I didn't use a set spread method--I just randomly picked 4 cards to do the reading. I hope you find this helpful!
Queen of Swords-You are strong and confident. You have a lot to give to the world. You are a protector. A voice to those who can't speak up.This card signifies a woman who is perceptive and intelligent. Sharp and quick witted , she has benefitted from her knowledge of human suffering. Strong willed, sharp tongued and temperamental.Might have difficulties making decisions. A situation calls for spiritual perception. Time for a self evalution. I feel that this card represents you.
Six of Pentacles-A lot of positive options but it's just a matter of choosing what is best for you. The world is at your finger tips. Trust yourself. Adjustment of funds required to obtain substantial success and represents charity, generosity, gifts, helping hands and shared prosperity. Choosing new ways to create money. Learning to be fair and sharing with resources. Helping the less fortunate.
Ace of Cups- Wealth and abundance are on the way.Over flowing with emotional renewal, possibility of divine inspiration and future hopes. New beginnings, finding peace and balance in life. Trust your intuition. Don't overload yourself.
The Star- Whatever you desire, it will manifest. Hope, attainable goals. Nuturing of future accomplishments. Guidance. Unexpected spiritual gifts. Good health, beneficience. Intellect, spiritual awakening, improvement of self. Faith and trust. Setting new goals for the future. New opportunities in career. Don't waste time or energy in trivial pursuits. A desire to know the truth. Be optimisitc! Have the courage to follow new pathways. Maintain balance in all endeavors.
I get an overall feeling that maybe doing charity/service/mission work could be your next direction?? Perhaps some how developing your own abilities will be interrelated. I really think you can do a lot for those that are less fortunate. Use your voice! Just trust and believe. Everything will come together. :hearts:
Hope this was helpful. Have a blessed day!
Love,
Amy

Fairedust's Query: "What do my guides want me to know about my career?”
I used Medicine Cards: The Discovery of Power Through the Ways of Animals.
As I was preparing, I kept hearing ‘gentle giant’ – does that have significance to you? I usually associate that with the name Andre. Seeing gardens – lots of green and a turtle.
1) East: Armadillo (reversed) Its medicine is Boundaries
There appears to be some trepidation in stepping out into the unknown. Your boundaries may be a little too narrow or you may lack an ability to set them properly. There is an idea or thought about your career which for some reason you have not pursued. Allow those ideas to flow into plans taking things one step at a time so that you are knowledgeable about your own internal resources. If you follow your desires and listen closely to your intuitions your choices will become clear. Embrace your natural abilities.
2) South: Dragonfly (reversed) Its medicine is Illusion
Is your current career position making you tired and unfocused? If so, heed these feelings. Perhaps you are staying in an unhealthy position because you feel it is expected of you. But what is in your heart? Where do you feel called? I sense that you are struggling with these issues. Watch yourself, because over self-reflection can mire you down. You don’t need to be perfect in order to be respected and fulfilled. Come up for air and give yourself a break and some freedom to explore exciting possibilities.
Are you getting enough sleep? Dreaming is the place where your guides share possibilities and validations for you. Even day-dreaming can bring about fruitful solutions. Practice deep breathing exercise throughout the day. Stay connected to your inner-knowing.
3) West: Horse His medicine is Power
You’re being called to remember to always reach for goals that contribute to the higher good of yourself and others. What wisdom have you learned from yourself and others? Apply that to your current situation. Teaching and care-giving are important gifts that you have to draw from. There is change on the horizon and all of the groundwork you have laid will serve you well. Release your worries and fears and move forward with confidence. You have protectors with you. You have leadership skills which can carry you far.
I hear Stanley and see bouncing balls. Possibly travel on water or some water related activity.
4) North: Spider Her medicine is weaving
It is time for you to create! Create new beginnings but be mindful of snares. Put your desires, plans, fears, joys and ideas into a journal. Write them out so that you can see from beginning to end how you arrived at your ‘dream’. You will find success in the career choice you make as long as you look at the big picture while still noticing the little things. Meditation will help you center on your own inner knowledge and like dreaming will connect you to your guides and their wisdom.. I hear ‘Lucy’ and see a young person. Dancing and celebration. New awakenings. Don’t think too deeply, just be part of the flow of all the energies moving toward your higher good. Something special is about to take place.
There are many synchronicities happening to you now. Watch for them and accept the validations and guidance that they are sending.
The story:
Bea, it seems you are headed for change. The circumstances for the fulfillment of your dreams and desires are coming together in a way that you will be able to grab onto them.
Trust in your own knowledge and understanding, embrace the fears, and your career choices will become obvious. You are moving into a time of abundance and happiness related to your career. You have tremendous support and backing. I sense a strong male presence here and one who will be a good sounding-board as you consider your options. Ultimately, though, the choice is yours! Follow your heart.
Images/names I received as I was ending the reading: A blank chalkboard, corn on the cob, a guitar neck with the tuning pegs, Sadie, Jeff.
Thank you for letting me consider your question. I hope you find some validations and messages helpful.
Bright Blessings
Sue
Bea, thank you so much for the honor of reading for you. I hope it's meaningful for you, and brings the insight that you're looking for.
I did a 6 card CAREER reading, courtesy of the Aecletic Tarot forum. I used my trusty classic Rider-Waite deck.
Creative expression - How this career choice helps or hinders your creative expression - the World
The World card speaks of the ultimate realization of cosmic consciousness. An unclothed (honesty) woman dances in the victory wreath,(goals reached) holding the Magician's wands (ability to manifest.). She is surrounded by symbols of the four powers, (the four elements, the four directions, etc.) and by serving them, they serve her. This tells me that you feel that your career choice puts you in touch with cosmic consciousness, and literally connects you to all mankind and nature in the universe. If this is true, then this card verifies that it's an excellent choice for you.
Action needed to reach your goals - 3 Wands Reversed
The 3 of Wands speaks of still being in the planning stages and the willingness to work with others for a common goals. A man stands on a high point (big picture) looking out to the ships at sea, waiting for them to come in (waiting for opportunity to come to you) . His hand is on one wand, but his back is to the other 2, un-used and un-noticed. Is your hand on one part of your plan, but are you overlooking two other necessary pieces of your plan? The reversal of this card suggests to me that you might be experiencing some blockage in this area of partnering with others, or seeing all opportunities that are available to you. You may want to seek other people to partner more closely with to reach your goals, and make sure you're looking in less obvious places for opportunities to advance.
Responsibility - what you need to be aware of - the King of Swords
The airy (thoughts) King of Swords is all about the power of clear thinking and not allowing personal emotion to interfere with sound decision making. The butterflies on his throne speak to the power of loving transformation. The King is the active principal of thought, so be aware of your responsibility to remain clear thinking and focused, and not to let your emotions make your decisions for you.
Energy - the energy that drives and motivates you- 9 of Cups Reversed
The 9 of Cups is the gypsy "wish" card. For me, it's also my "fat, dumb, and happy" card -- a card that warns against becoming too complacent about your place in life. A seemingly wealthy man appears to be happy and guarding the nine cups on the table behind him. But what's under the table? The 10th cup? Something that will rock the table and knock the other 9 down? It's a mystery that he's turned his back on, happy just to guard what he already has. This card tells me that you don't want to become complacent in life, with what appears on the surface. It tells me that you are driven by the need to seek out the mystery, to never be satisfied with just the status quo. You want everyone's "wish" to be fulfilled and if you can find a way to do it, you will. Your drive is to always improve where ever possible.
Earnings -- what this career gives you - the Page of Cups reversed
The Page of Cups is about youthful emergence of intuitive thought and feeling, and what it takes to nourish and grow that intuition. The fish (nourishing intuition) emerges from the cup (in this case, receptivity like the womb) while the youth studies it. The reversal of this card suggests a blockage here, that it's possible that you're feeling like you're not getting exactly what you expected yet. The cup is upside down and spilling out. Is your receptivity about your own intuition, not open?
Relationships - coworkers, clients, etc. -- Ace of Swords Reversed
The Ace of Swords is about new beginnings of thought and mental activity. It's a call to organize our thoughts and plan first, before manifesting our thoughts into reality. The reversal signifies a blockage of some type here. Are you having trouble organizing your plans where it relates to other people? This might be a message to make sure you have your plan of action in place, before getting heavily involved in partnerships or relationships with other people.
In summary Bea, you've chosen this career as a creative expression of your desire to connect to a higher level of concsiouneness. In order to reach your goals consider partnerships with other like-minded individuals and seek out opportunity in places that you might be turning your back on right now. Remember that you have a responsiblity to keep clear and focused thoughts in balance with your emotions and intuition. You're driven by the energy of a desire to constantly improve the "status quo". You'll earn a nuturing of your own intuition with this career. How you navigate your relationships in this career will need to be well thought out and planned.
Thank you again Bea for allowing me to do this reading for you. I look forward to your feedback, and if you have any questions, please let me know! :hearts:

I thank you all for your time. I know doing a reading is very time consuming.
Yes, I have been working on reading myself. It really is amazing how the same cards keep coming up, even after shuffling the deck to death.
What you gave me is pretty much what the cards were saying.
I will be out of town this weekend, but I will post either Sunday evening or Monday. I would like to spend some time with your readings.
Just from a quick glance over them, you all arrived at pretty much the same place....amazing!
Thank you all very much and have a wonderful reading.

Hi Stefanie,
Good Morning Bea! Well it's 2am EST here, but it's still considered morning.
I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to read for you this week. How is the quest of learning tarot going for you? Don't feel overwhelmed. I know it's alot of instincts and memory work, but you'll learn so much about yourself.
I'm learning more and more everyday. I actually did a reading for my sister that was so dead on it was creepy, and I just used the book interpretations.
There are some days when I do feel like that!
For some reason, I also heard San Jose. I don't know if you have any connection to that city or the name. I would venture a guess it means San Jose California, but who knows...maybe you know another one.
Never been there, and I don't think I know anyone there.
I almost didn't write this down. But have you ever been to eat at an Outback Steakhouse? I kept hearing it's jingle. If you go to www.outback.com you'll hear it. How do I know what the jingle is, I've worked at that restaurant for 3.5 years. Who knows...it could because I worked tonight too, but we normally don't hear our jingle.
We, like outback, but we don't go very often. Could it be the Steve Irwin tragedy?
And finally, I can normally meditate for about an hour and a half before I start to get the pins and needles feeling in my legs. (I took an Eastern Religion class in college and one of the "extra credits" was to meditate with the professor for two hours.) Tonight, however, it happened after five minutes. So, I was wondering if this happens to you often and it bothers you.
It's usually because I have my shoes on, and I was cranky about that this last week.
I'm afraid this is going to be the way of it for a long time. I have $85,000.00 worth of AV coming in and I'm the only one that does it. So, I guess you could say I'm Bogged down.
I am very lucky in that respect. They let me share everything I choose to. Some are interested and some not, and that's okay.
No Sophia that I know of... and no coworker either. But, new people are being hired everyday. We lost half of the circ. staff in 3 months time and they are just now hiring more.
4. What you will learn. Strength How appropriate. What does everyone need while at work? Strength, courage, compassion, and a good cup of coffee. Utilizing your strengths will help you get through your work day.
We'll have to see what the sacrifices are and if they are really workth it.
I hope you are able to take something away from this reading. Have you tried reading for yourself yet or asking this same question and drawing a single card? Follow your instincts and I'm sure they won't stear you wrong.
Thank you for the reading. I manage to pick up a little more everyday. I think I've asked this question every which way I can think of.
Much love on your journey ahead,
Stephanie

Hi Amy,
When I read sharp tongued, I was kind of shocked. That is a definite no. Just not part of my makeup. If it would hurt someone's feelings it doesn't get said, or you find another way to get the point across. I do care about those who have "a hard knock life", and try to help. Strong willed, maybe in a more subdued way. Temperamental as in menopause, you are right on. A rock would have a hard time coping with menopause.
I've been waiting for those options to arrive for awhile now. How and where is the question. The sharing of resources and helping the less fortunate is kind of a life long thing around our house.
Ace of Cups- Wealth and abundance are on the way.Over flowing with emotional renewal, possibility of divine inspiration and future hopes. New beginnings, finding peace and balance in life. Trust your intuition. Don't overload yourself.Yay, ace of cups! I don't hold much hope for the not overloading myself. though.
Thinking big!! I can do that,
I get an overall feeling that maybe doing charity/service/mission work could be your next direction?? Perhaps some how developing your own abilities will be interrelated. I really think you can do a lot for those that are less fortunate. Use your voice! Just trust and believe. Everything will come together.
I don't think I can take on anymore. I am in charge of a group that does charity work. About a dozen charities benefit from this goup. They have made and donated over 5,000 items to these charities. From memory boxes for stillborn baby's parents, to preemie items that go to a natal crisis progam and then the helmet liners go all the way to Iraq. Local school teachers have learned to use us for the children who can't afford hats, mittens and scarves during the winter. They just call and put in their order. Like-wise the Cancer society gets a boat load and will speciial order things like, stoma bibs. I'm not sure if I could fit anything else in.
Hope this was helpful. Have a blessed day!
Every reading is helpful and I do enjoy reading them. It's funny that charity work should come up.
Thank you Amy for your time.
Love,
Amy

Hi Sue,
I used Medicine Cards: The Discovery of Power Through the Ways of Animals.
I've read several of your readings with your medicine cards. They are very interesting.
As I was preparing, I kept hearing ‘gentle giant’ – does that have significance to you? I usually associate that with the name Andre. Seeing gardens – lots of green and a turtle. We put in lots of flowers this summer. They have been gorgeous. Gentle giant and turtle, no clue.
Have been doing that, at least I'm on the right track.
Come up for air and give yourself a break and some freedom to explore exciting possibilities.I understand this one very well, and am just waiting for it work itself out, because I am boxed in..
Are you getting enough sleep? Dreaming is the place where your guides share possibilities and validations for you. Even day-dreaming can bring about fruitful solutions. Practice deep breathing exercise throughout the day. Stay connected to your inner-knowing.
Hmm...I can't remember the last time I slept all night. I do the deep breathing and try to stay connected.[ That is very important to me./COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"]I glad change is almost here, but I dearly hope it isnt' teaching. I put that behind me 15 years ago. I'll keep the grandbabies though.
I hear Stanley and see bouncing balls. Possibly travel on water or some water related activity. I'm completely clueless here.
Something special is about to take place.I know how to flow. If something is abot to happen, I am ready to grab the tambourine and dance too. The only Lucy I know is an older lady.
There are many synchronicities happening to you now. Watch for them and accept the validations and guidance that they are sending.
Journaling time, I see.
All of these brought back some good memories.
Thank you for letting me consider your question. I hope you find some validations and messages helpful.
Thank you for your time. These readings are great. I have to take a look at these Medicine cards.
Bright Blessings
Sue

Hi Pam,I did a 6 card CAREER reading, courtesy of the Aecletic Tarot forum.
If this is true, then this card verifies that it's an excellent choice for you.My job has many aspects to it, and I enjoy almost all of them.
You may want to seek other people to partner more closely with to reach your goals, and make sure you're looking in less obvious places for opportunities to advance.Hmmm. I have to think about this. Of course everyone always has wishes. Mine have just gotten so confused lately, I can't find them.
Responsibility - what you need to be aware of - the King of Swords
The airy (thoughts) King of Swords is all about the power of clear thinking and not allowing personal emotion to interfere with sound decision making. The butterflies on his throne speak to the power of loving transformation. The King is the active principal of thought, so be aware of your responsibility to remain clear thinking and focused, and not to let your emotions make your decisions for you.The clear thinking thing has come up over and over in the reading I do for myself, but as of right now I don't have any decisions to make.
What a nice card to come up. I do sincerely hope that is true.
You got it, and I've been working on that.
This might be a message to make sure you have your plan of action in place, before getting heavily involved in partnerships or relationships with other people.Around our house right now, plans change every other minute. I pretty much try to stick toa plan, but it's not always possible. I think I need to find out what this partnership stuff is.
WOW!!
You guys have given me A LOT to hash over. I will try to give you more feedback if and when things start to happen. Which I certainly hope does so soon.
Thank you all for you time, patience and sharing your intuitions. Who could ask for more from a person.
If you have any questions for me, please feel free to ask. I would love to contribute.
