Twinky's (Jeannie's) question:
"What do I need to know about changes in my career/job?"
Amanda

Hey ((((((((Jeannie)))))))))!! Thank you for the opportunity to read for you. :)
Here's what I got before pulling the cards.
I heard "Norman" 2 times.
I heard "Betty Crocker" This seemed like a nickname for you. There was a lighthearted, amused feeling with it.
I felt someone pat me on the head! And I heard "good girl." lol
I'm not sure if it was because of that but then I had a flash of what looked like a Golden Retriever and I heard the name "Patty".
I'm probably totally messing this up. But, have you heard the saying "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's a duck.?" I think I'm supposed to fit another animal in there instead of a duck. lol. "Fish" is what kept popping in.
So then fish led me to water and water to intuition. I had an urge to encourage you to "call it like it is." This made me think of how we can be hesitant or unsure of what to "call" ourselves when we still feel new to this work.
Next I heard "Harold."
Then I got the feeling that someone you are close to is pregnant. I asked for a name and I heard an "M" I wanted to make it "Meg." But, not sure if I was mixing together the "preg" with the "M" to make Meg. ???
There was a quick, sharp jab of pain to my right upper rib cage area. Mean anything to you or anyone you know?
The last impression I had I want to share with you privately if that's ok. ?

I used the Universal Waite Tarot Cards and a 4 card spread to answer your question:
Twinky's (Jeannie's) question:
"What do I need to know about changes in my career/job?"
1. What you have
2. What you desire
3. What you need
4. What you get
***I recorded my first impressions of each card and then went back and took a deeper look at each one.
Card 1-9 of Wands-My first impression of this card was that you feel like alot has been put on your shoulders. You have in a way built walls between you and those that don't mesh with you. I feel a big "leave me alone!" and "Move outta my way!" with this card.
You have the ability and strength to overcome any difficulty or obstacle that comes your way. It represents trials that you have been through to get to where you are. You have it all there within you to keep going to achieve your ultimate goal.
Card 2-2 of Wands-First impression of this card is that you are looking at options...where to go from here? There is a big opportunity presenting itself to do more of what you feel is right for you. You are looking toward it and considering what you would be "leaving behind."
Other thoughts that first came to mind: "meant for you,." "step of faith," "feeling like you're leaving behind security."
You are heading towards where you want to be. Keep moving forward. Direct your own course, take control of your personal power.
Card 3-#7-The Chariot-First impressions: "Now is the time to move," "Go," "All is in order," "Proceed," "Green light"
The white and black sphinxes in charge of pulling the chariot can represent positive and negative emotions and the need to gain control over them and use them to take you where you want to be instead of letting them control you. I feel like the negative emotion here is fear. Mainly just a fear of the unknown. There's a suggestion of a need to gain control and use all of your powerful emotions to propel you forward instead of letting them have their way.
Card 4- #14 Temperance-First impressions: "Blending," "Getting your feet wet," "You have one foot in and one out." You can do this, keep one foot on the ground, and one in the water. "One foot in "the real world" and one in your dreams"
This card represents growing stronger. Combining your talents, your abilities in order to further your development. This card also tells us that you come from a pure place within your heart for your chosen career. You are doing it for all the right reasons. I believe this is a time that you are or will be working on blending your physical life with your spiritual/psychic one.
In summary I feel like this reading is a HUGE encouragement for you to proceed with the career you have chosen, the one that is so close to your heart. You have overcome alot to get to where you are. There may be more hurdles for you but, you have more than what it takes to get over them (if they show up). I feel like the 9 of Wands is showing you considering taking a different turn careerwise. The Chariot shows up to say "Hop on let's go." :) But, first an encouragement to gain better control. In Temperance I really feel strongly that this is you working within your calling and learning to balance it with your life as it is now.
Jeannie I hope this helps.
All the best to you and yours!

Jeannie,
I wanted to say what an honor and a privaledge it was to read for you this time around. In a way, I've come full circle, because you were the first person I read when I came here and became apart of the readers. I even went back and looked up your last reading. I can tell you that I've grown so much because of reading wonderful people like you.
Before the reading started, I asked for any names or symbols to come through and I got a couple. Not sure if you will be able to validate any of them, but I'd thought I try.
First I heard the name Edmund, but then got Ed. I kept seeing a blue-green color in my vision. Not sure, but normally when I get colors it centers around the chakras, so maybe those need worked on? Then, I got the song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy." stuck in my head. Sad thing, I actually saw parts of the video for it. Then I heard Christine. But, I got it screamed at me, like in the movie Dances With Wolves when Stands With A Fist has a flashback. And finally, I got the name Nate...but this might be a me thing, and not a you thing. (I'll explain later.)
As usual, I'm using my Sacred Rose tarot deck, and I made sure that I didn't use the same spread that I did the last time. So, I chose The Trend Variation 1 for your reading this evening.
"What do I need to know about changes in my career/job?"
1. What you already know. Ace of Pentacles (R) A time to start anew, but there is somethign in the way like tying up old strings and completing an old project before starting something new. This is a time of not taking any chances nor risks. Be a straight-shooter. You might even feel like you can't get your act together. You already have an inkling that something just isn't right at work, but you can't see where it is coming from.
2. What you are good at. Three of Pentacles You are good at recognizing what tools yo need to get the job done right the first time and to succeed. You know that projects won't work without careful planning and diligence. You away the approval of others for a job well done. This card also portrays an upswing in your career and positive business partnerships.
3. This is still new. The Chariot (R) Are you thinking that you may be on the outside looking in on a project? Or not feeling apart of the team effort? Almost like the team isn't working as One. Too many cooks spoil the broth. You might be trying to tackle too many projects at once and your energies are scattered. There is some truth to when a person multitasks something is lost...mostly focus. This may lead to failed projects or projects "half" done. Don't spread yourself too thin. (I heard Nate again.)
4. What you will learn. The Devil You'll have all the power you'll ever need to free yourself of negative roles, energies, projects, and situations. It's a time to realize what your role is in the creation and solution of a problem. A possible solution is cutting the ties that bind you and cut your losses. Another possible solution is confrontation. In fact, a major theme of this card is confrontation. By confronting a problem, you bring it out into the open where it can be dealt with and possibly made into an ally. You shouldn't be afraid of confrontation.
I have to explain the Nate connection a bit. I can't call him a co-worker because he doesn't work at the same place that I do, but he does work at the hotel that I bring food to. So, in that aspect I see him everyday that I work. He might as well be a co-worker because he knows basically everything that is going on at my restaurant, just like I know everything that is going on at his hotel. He's gotten under my skin a bit in the past couple of weeks, because in our lapse of judgement, we kinda went beyond our working relationship. So, now he's on my mind almost constantly...but in a weird way, I knew his brother (whom I'm also very good friends with) was in trouble the same night he found out. So...Anyways, with the Chariot card, I got him again, and it would be a very true way to explain Nate. He has tons of projects going and his energy is scattered in so many directions, he never knows what to do next.
Jeannie hon, I hope this has helped provide some insights and thoughts about what might be going on. I can't wait to hear feedback on this reading.

Hi Jeannie!
To answer your question, I decided to use the Seven Sisters spread, which is a freeform spread in that it has no traditional card placement meanings. It consists of 7 piles of three cards each.
1) The Fool, 8 of Swords, and Queen of Wands, rx
Restrictions that you are feeling (8 Swords) are limiting your creativity and self-assurance (Queen Wands, rx). You'll need to be spontaneous and have faith in the Universe (the Fool), allowing yourself to trust that you are where you are supposed to be, and must learn the lessons as they are presented to you.
2) 5 Cups rx, High Priestess rx, Page of Wands
This feels like a very emotional time for you, Jeannie. Looking at the High Priestess rx, who is ruled by the Moon, I feel like there may be a strained relationship right now in your life with a female who is close to you. Probably either a mother, grandmother or aunt (above you). You are moving away from feelings of sadness, defeat and regret (5 cups, rx) and the Page of Wands is offering a message to you: Have confidence, be creative and enthusiastic. Embrace your courage and start taking some real steps toward manifesting your desired career.
3) 2 of Cups, 2 of Pentacles, 7 swords rx
2's in numerology represent partnerships. This is significant because there are 2 of them in this pile. I feel like you are considering forming a business partnership (2 of Pentacles, 2 of Cups), but having difficulty figuring out how to keep all aspects of your life (home, job, family matters) in balance while you do so. Remember to have fun, even while you work (2 of Pentacles), however, be careful not to avoid your obligations (7 Swords) in the process. Find the middle ground. (hearing a name that sounds like "Santana" here, but it's not very clear. I almost want to say "banana" instead) Now I am seeing insulin syringes.
4) King of Pentacles, 5 of Swords, 10 of Cups
Again there is a sense of defeat from the recent past (5 swords). This may be a reference to a shedding of negative thought patterns on your part, but I feel it's more an argument that has taken place, which has an unfinished feel to it. Remember the example from the JH workshop, the tether connection that we have to unfinished business? This feels like something ended in a way that you weren't satisfied with and you are carrying it with you. I want to tell you that you are seeing things in a very different way than this other person (again, feels like an older female) , and they just aren't willing to look at it from your perspective. Feels like the best thing you can do here is let it go, knowing that you did the best that you could to rectify the situation. The King of Pentacles has the Midas touch, and is very practical and reliable. Use his fixed Taurus energy to bring your career goals to life. The 10 of Cups, as you know, has to be one of the best cards in the deck. Harmony will be restored, once that tether is broken. Release yourself from it, so you can have happiness.
5) 8 of Pentacles, Ace of Wands, the Emperor rx
Creative force, enthusiasm and unfolding talents abound! The Ace of Wands represents spring...so this spring I believe will be the time when all the careful planning and hard work you put in now will come to fruition. I am seeing the date April 12th. You will be learning new skills (8 of pents) and paying close attention to details in your work. The Emperor rx suggests that you'll need to be very careful to remain structured and remain on task, especially as things are in their beginning stages.
6) 6 of Wands rx, the Chariot rx, King of Cups
The first two cards in this pile suggest to me that you'll learn to be assertive (Chariot) through confidence gained by a personal victory (6 wands). Assertiveness does not feel like a natural part of your comfort zone. The King of Cups can help you with this...he offers a calm, mature approach to an issue, which brings success. His Scorpio energy will help you to see beneath the surface and get to the heart of the matter.
7) 4 of swords, 2 of Swords rx, 9 of Pentacles, rx
An impasse will end (2 swords, rx) and the truth will be revealed. Feels like this ties in with that relationship I spoke of earlier. I believe this will happen in March. The 4 of swords suggests a time of quiet preparation where you contemplate your next move and meditate on it. Discipline will be very important along this journey for you (9 pents, rx). Avoid rushing past the little joys of life in an effort to reach your goals. Celebrate the smaller steps.
To summarize, I feel that this relationship with the older female plays a big part in your career right now and is somehow holding you back. Accepting what has happened for what it is and embracing what you've learned from it will help you to release yourself from this difficult situation and move on. You'll do well to remember to have fun as you work, and this will help you to balance all aspects of your life in better harmony. I feel as though you are planning to move to a smaller group setting, through forming a business partnership with someone whom you feel that you can trust...there is a sense of "specialization" here, and I somehow feel like the insulin syringes I was seeing are tied to this.
Hope that was helpful, (((Jeannie))), and I wish you the best of luck with your career!

Ladies, you have my attention. I am speechless at the moment. I just got home from work and am very tired. I did not sleep yesterday and have been up for about 30 hours, unfortunately, this is typical for my job situation.
I am going to take a nap and will go over your wonderful readings again when I am more refreshed. I am very impressed and excited.
Amanda, you may send a message PM here or by my email address, either way you prefer.
You guys are amazing. Thank you sooo much.

Hi you guys. I am awake and will try to respond as much as I can before it is time to go back to work. I feel so blessed to have you all read for me.
This is a crazy week for me and here is my current job situation. I am a nurse and I so love being a nurse. I worked very hard to get where I am and it does pay well, but it is affecting my health and family life. For the past 5 1/2 years I have been working nights, 12 hour shifts, well it is really 13-15 hr shifts, it is scheduled 7pm to 7am, but we have to be there at
6:30 for report (we don't get paid for the 30min lunch we get which at night the cafeteria is closed and locked so we eat in our departments and we can't leave). I work 3 or 4 nights a week. I like to work 3 in a row and have 3 or 4 nights off in a row, but other people don't so it doesn't work out that way. I am the night charge nurse for our floor so if someone is out I ususally end up filling in for them. I sleep during the day - which limits family time, scheduling anything is a major chore weather it is Dr apts, teacher conferences, a night out. Everything we do has to be planned around if I am working or trying to sleep.
OK - I am "burning out" - a very common phenomenon among nurses.
Our hospital was just bought out by a company I used to work for in another state. It has been very stressful for the employees. We always seem to get the short end of the stick. Our insurance and benefits is not as good. Our pension plan was stopped and we have to roll it over to and IRA. At least we aren't losing the whole thing. The new plan is a joke compared to what we had. We lost a really good nurse this week. She went back to the job she left so we are down to 4 nurses trying to cover the night shift.
Enough of that. Basically I have been wanting to make a change. Even if I go to day shift - and I am first on the list if an opening ever comes ups. I was told that I would have to kill someone on days cause no one plans to leave.:o
I hate to leave, but I just can't keep doing this to myself and my family. I am the main income and source of insurance for my family. I want a job that pays as well or better. One that involves my nursing skills as well as holistic healing. (OK I hear you nurses out there laughing). I want at job with sane hours. Is it too much to hope for?
It has become a running joke in our family that when we go to eat chinese food that everyone else at the table gets a truism fortune cookie message, but I always get some mysterious fortune.
The last time mine was "someone you have overlooked in the past will cause great changes in your life." I usually laugh at them and leave them on the table, but for some reason this one just rang out to me and I stuck it in my purse.
Thanks for letting me vent. I will move on to the readings and will try to respond as much as I can before I go back to work. This week I work Fri, Sat, Sun. off Mon and back Tue and Wed. :(
Thank you all so much for your readings. :hearts: :hearts:

Thank you so much.
Hey ((((((((Jeannie)))))))))!! Thank you for the opportunity to read for you. :)
Here's what I got before pulling the cards.
I heard "Norman" 2 times.
I had a childhood friend named Norman - haven't heard from him in years. Was thinking about his brother 2 days ago though. They lived across the street when I was quite young they were playmates
I heard "Betty Crocker" This seemed like a nickname for you. There was a lighthearted, amused feeling with it.
I would love to be a domestic goddess for a while and I love to cook
I felt someone pat me on the head! And I heard "good girl." lol
I'm not sure if it was because of that but then I had a flash of what looked like a Golden Retriever and I heard the name "Patty".
When I first read this I thought of another childhood friend, but later this morning when I was talking to my hubby about the readings and my job, I told him, I could transfer to days up on the medical floor, but I just don't think I could work for "Patty" then I had an OMG moment
I have been wanting to do more intuitive work, Reiki and finding a way to use it more. I have been a bit timid about it though
Next I heard "Harold."
I will have to think on this a while, nothing comes to mind now though
Then I got the feeling that someone you are close to is pregnant. I asked for a name and I heard an "M" I wanted to make it "Meg." But, not sure if I was mixing together the "preg" with the "M" to make Meg. ???
I am a certified as as perinatal nurse. What that means is that I work with pregnant patients before, during and after delivery and care for the newborn. Oh and neither of my daughters need to get pregnant for a while!!! LOL. As for Meg - ??
There was a quick, sharp jab of pain to my right upper rib cage area. Mean anything to you or anyone you know?
You just described a pain I have been having off and on for a while. Just comes occasionally
The last impression I had I want to share with you privately if that's ok. ?
***********************************
I used the Universal Waite Tarot Cards and a 4 card spread to answer your question:
Twinky's (Jeannie's) question:
"What do I need to know about changes in my career/job?"
1. What you have
2. What you desire
3. What you need
4. What you get
***I recorded my first impressions of each card and then went back and took a deeper look at each one.
Card 1-9 of Wands-My first impression of this card was that you feel like alot has been put on your shoulders. You have in a way built walls between you and those that don't mesh with you. I feel a big "leave me alone!" and "Move outta my way!" with this card. this is true, but I don't let anyone know it
You have the ability and strength to overcome any difficulty or obstacle that comes your way. It represents trials that you have been through to get to where you are. You have it all there within you to keep going to achieve your ultimate goal.
true, I have come through a lot and so has my family, I have to just leave it all behind.
Card 2-2 of Wands-First impression of this card is that you are looking at options...where to go from here? There is a big opportunity presenting itself to do more of what you feel is right for you. You are looking toward it and considering what you would be "leaving behind." see the last comment? LOL
Other thoughts that first came to mind: "meant for you,." "step of faith," "feeling like you're leaving behind security."
You are heading towards where you want to be. Keep moving forward. Direct your own course, take control of your personal power.
It is a big step and I am a big scaredy cat, I guess, I need a push. I am open to change though. I am ready!
Card 3-#7-The Chariot-First impressions: "Now is the time to move," "Go," "All is in order," "Proceed," "Green light"
I am feeling the green lights all over the place.
WOW. WOW!! this is sooooo true for me.
I believe this is a time that you are or will be working on blending your physical life with your spiritual/psychic one.
this is what I am longing for. I have been feeling that nudge - maybe that is where that jab in the ribs is coming from LOL

I have about 45 minutes before I have to shower and get ready for work. I was too tired this morning, but I did read all of your readings to Bill to see what he thought. Amanda, here is something funny, when I finished reading to Bill, something on the flour next to my computer desk caught my eye. It was one of my daughters books. It is way to young for her now and I haven't a clue how it found it's way into my bedroom, but when I turned it over I had to laugh. It is entitled Brave Norman. It is a story about a blind golden retriever named Norman who saves a girl from drowning in the ocean.:D

(((((Stephanie))))))
Jeannie,
I wanted to say what an honor and a privaledge it was to read for you this time around. In a way, I've come full circle, because you were the first person I read when I came here and became apart of the readers. I even went back and looked up your last reading. I can tell you that I've grown so much because of reading wonderful people like you.
 Stephanie you are so sweet. I am honored to have the three of you reading for me. :hearts:
I am not sure about the names, but I think that there is a message in there for me to let go of the worries/fears of making a career change. That song is stuck in my head now. LOL I will have to ponder the dances with wolves sccene a bit. Perhaps is trying to rediscover self and my true place in this world. The name Edmund, and Amanda's Norman, made me think of Oklahoma.
As far as colors green/blue I have been working on Reiki and that area has been a blockage for me this week. I think it is related to amedical problem I am having with my heart. I have a drs apt this week I will discuss it with him. thanks for that validation.
2. What you are good at. Three of Pentacles You are good at recognizing what tools yo need to get the job done right the first time and to succeed. You know that projects won't work without careful planning and diligence. You away the approval of others for a job well done. This card also portrays an upswing in your career and positive business partnerships.
That would by my Sun in Scorpio, with Gemini rising and Mercury ruling. LOL I am looking forward to that.
I think this refers to my current job, we are working very short of nurses right now. I think I need to not try to cover all the shifts. I need to say NO to weeks like this - I am working 5 of 6 days in a row. (see why I want - no - need a change?
I do hate confrontation, I avoid it as much as possible, but I can when it is needed. Infact I have spoken with my manager about my needs, but she had few solutions. Her suggestion was to go to another floor and work for "Patty" or kill one of my fellow nurses and take her place.
I think that you are correct about being scattered and spread too thin. I do understand this. also - the Chariot and the Devil keep coming up for me lately
Jeannie hon, I hope this has helped provide some insights and thoughts about what might be going on. I can't wait to hear feedback on this reading.

(((((Dawn))))) Sorry this has taken so long. I like this spread, it is really different.
I have felt this to be true. Sometimes I feel like life is passing me by and time is running out. I feel very restricted where I am too. I don't feel like I am accomplishing the things I want to get done.
I think that you are refering to my mother. I feel sad when I am around her. I don't make enough time to visit her at the nursing home. I try not to let the guilt creep in, but it does. I miss the mother I used to have. Thanksgiving she didn't know me most of the time she was at my house. Which is OK
This is all very interesting. There are some areas that I would like to explore, but nothing solid as yet. The syringes are definitely a possibility. I will certainly keep it in mind and let you know how it turns out.
I have been making a conscious effort to shed negative thought patterns from my life. The little things that negate my self-esteem and my self-worth. The other situation, wasn't so much an argument, as a situation that unfolded at work. And yes this involves an older female. I have trouble releasing the past, it is something I am working on. I needed to hear this.
This sounds great. It is amazing, I was telling Bill that I need to make my move - whatever it will be, in early spring. March or April.
You are right, assertiveness is not my nature, but for my position at work, I have learned how to be assertive when it its needed. I am glad to see the King of Cups at work.:)
I will keep this in mind and let you know how it works out. I think that you are probably right. I am trying to take one step at a time and I think that celebrating the smaller steps is a message to me about something else that I also needed to hear this week.
My mother is the reason that we moved back to Texas. It is the tether that you spoke of earlier. It is one of the reasons that we stay that and our daughter's school situation. I am encouraged by all that you have said here. I can see it happening. I will let you know how it works out.
Hope that was helpful, (((Jeannie))), and I wish you the best of luck with your career!
