I have to start by telling a story. I sat down Sunday to write the first “Coaching for Your Soul” coaching tip. I feel passionately about helping people to take care of themselves – mind, body, and soul – and I wanted my first post to do just that. I wrote my draft and decided to sleep on it and post it in the morning.

Monday morning the first thing in my mail box was my weekly email newsletter from John Holland - “101 Ways to Jump-Start Your Intuition”. When I read John's newsletter, I was shocked! John’s tip this week is about “Strengthening Your Aura”. I was amazed at the synchronicity in the universe when I realized that the words I had used in my draft were almost identical to John's! I decided that I would rewrite my post and share John's wisdom.

Here’s what John said in today’s newsletter:

When your aura is strong and healthy, it acts as a protective shield to help you stay emotionally and mentally strong and physically healthy, and also enhances your intuitive abilities. To strengthen your aura, maintain a balanced and healthy diet; this week try to get outdoors more often; breathe in clean, fresh air; exercise regularly; and go for a massage or bodywork. Take time to rest, relax, and meditate regularly. All of this will greatly assist in building your intuitive strength as you reinforce your precious aura.
Blessings - John
As I strengthen my aura, only positive energy can enter my space, and only positive energy can go out

My goal for today is to look at John’s tip and to figure out how we take the next step. How do we go about making changes in our lives so that we can strengthen our aura and nourish our soul each day?

It’s easy to pay attention to our body. Usually, when we get thirsty we drink, when we get hungry we eat. But how often do we even take the time to recognize that’s there is more that we need to do to take care of our spiritual self? If we don’t pay attention and listen to what our soul needs, then we feel depleted, lack focus, and have a feeling that things are not going in the right direction.

What do we need to do? As John says, maybe we need to get outdoors, exercise, or meditate. Since my style of coaching is all about getting you to listen to your soul and holding you accountable for striving to live your best life, here's your challenge: Close your eyes, take a deep cleansing breath and listen to your inner wisdom. Then tell us - What will you do this week to strengthen your aura and nourish your soul?

A special thanks to John Holland who continues to inspire us to make positive changes in our lives!:hearts:

Hello, Zelda6!

Thank you for sharing this knowledge.

All of those things you listed definitely has helped contribute to my well being - the most pronounced and positive effect being outside, or nature's, forces (as well as certain types of music/musical notes and scents). Although I cannot see my aura directly, I know that it is being affected from the profound sense of well being and connection I feel to the universe.

How can one go about training oneself to see the aura? I find this to be an interesting subject and would like to learn more about what actually occurs in the body when (or as) the aura changes. I have some speculations about it but, by far, am no expert.

I look forward to seeing and learning more about the aura in your future posts.

Best,

Consciousness

Consciousness, we do have a very long thread on here that tells you how to see your own aura.

Some people have more success than others seeing their aura. Most of us have, at least, seen it go out 6 inches or more.

Hi Consciousness!

Welcome! I'm glad you liked the post.

This is a new forum designed to help you think about positive changes you would like to see in your life and taking the steps to make it happen. For example, what steps will you take this week? Is it committing to get outside for a lunch break or taking time to meditate?

As Gail mentioned there are a lot of places on the board to find out more about auras. There are also many people here who can help. I would recommend John Holland's book, Psychic Navigator, which has an entire chapter on developing auric vision, colors, etc.

Best of luck on your journey and many blessings -

Beth

Hi Beth,

I just wanted to mention that it is popsicle season around here. I like being outside, but noses, toes and fingers become casualties sometimes. Guess I'll go for the meditation.

I miss the sunshine during the winter. I like lots of light and wide open spaces. Our house is like that, very open.

Will read the chapter you suggested. Just got the book a short while ago.

Thanks,
Bea

Hi Beth, I have started this week off on the right foot. I do plan to get out more this week while the weather is a little better and meditate more. I had a nice meditation early this morning and again while I was getting a Reiki/massage. OH YEAH! it's wonderful!!!!!! wish I could do that every week.

Hi Bea

I'm glad to see that you are going to take steps to nourish your soul! I want to point out that it wasn't necessarily a "choice" between being outside or doing meditation. I was giving an example. The choice of what you do depends on what you feel you need to do.

In addition to John's suggestions it could be journaling, tai chi, yoga, doing tarot readings, reading a good uplifting book, just to name a few. The key thing is taking the time out for yourself and setting the intention to do something nourishing for you. Then watch all the wonderful things that manifest in your life!;)

Blessings,

Beth

Love that Jeannie!! Sounds like you are having a great week! It's good to see you taking that break for yourself and yes, wouldn't a massage every week be great?;)

Blessings,

Beth
