PBPan's (Megan's) Question:
“What do my Guides want me to know about my spiritual path over the next few months?” I am coming to a fork in the road regarding major life decisions and my head and my heart are disagreeing. My head says to go one way, my heart another.

Megan,
Please let me say that it is a definitely a pleasure to be able to read for you this time around. Last time, I felt we were too close to be able to do an objective reading. Now, I feel this is a perfect opportunity for this kind of reading to take place.
For some reason, I started glancing through my book of 122 spreads to find an appropriate spread. I settled on a version of a Cross Spread...kinda. I have to wonder why I settled on this spread, because I've never used it before, but when I glanced at the name, I definitely knew this was for you. The spread is called, Inner Strength.
As you know, I used my Sacred Rose deck to read for you. If you like, you can get out your deck and follow along since you have the same deck as I. With two of the intrepretations, I included the meditative meanings from our book. I'll explain why at the end.
“What do my Guides want me to know about my spiritual path over the next few months?”
1. My Responsibilities. Eight of Pentacles You know that in order to achieve success you must work hard at the appropriate times and plant your seeds when the timing is right. You wouldn't plant corn in the middle of summer for it to come up during winter. You know how to be patient and nurturing and you have a responsibility to not give that up. Others, whether you know it or not, depend on you for support, nurture, and care. But you are not alone, because you also depend on someone else for your own nurturing. Remember that the same laws that govern you, also govern everyone else and the Universe. All your patience, craftmanship, and nurturing lead you to success and the long-term rewards. You also know that the tried and true methods work the best and this is not the time to shake things up with new methods.
2. What I love. The Star You love having your fifteen minutes of fame every once and awhile as it makes you feel special in a mundane day to day life. Your ballet, office praise, gifts from your husband, and the signs from your loved ones give you that special feeling. You love when you are given a sign from your loved ones as this is also a card that suggests that unexpected spiritual gifts do happen when you have hope in your heart. (This has been proven a couple of times to you.) The Star card is a hope card. You know that your loved ones see you while it takes others years to develop that knowing. Yet, in the same breath you have been tested, and in your own defence, you remind yourself that this too shall pass. Inner Strength ;)
Meditative Meaning: I have been tested-and survived. Now is my time for meditation, contemplation, and the enlightenment self-evaluation brings.
3. What my inner voice is telling me. Two of Swords Be nonjudgemental. Be openminded. Confrontation is bound to happen, but you could be proud of the fact that you stood your ground and didn't waiver. Your inner gut may be telling you about a relationship that was built on mistrust, but communication needs to take place so peace and balance can be restored. Listen to that voice, because I know you've never shyed away from it before, even if you didn't like what it was telling you.
4. My Decision. Judgement Don't you hate when that happens? You are looking for a definitive answer and you get the one card that really doesn't say one way or the other... Judgement is a card that has opposites come together and produce an unlikely outcome of new beginnings and second chances. Dig out that deck of yours. Adam and Eve are being reborn through the angel Gabriel and a new baby is produced. Both had to deal with their sins before being reborn. Remember that you have help and if you ask, ye shall receive. It's time to face the music be it good or bad. Everyone is tested, and no one escapes. It's time for a second chance, a new hope.
Meditative Meaning: I am of this earth and therefore know of my certain mortality. Allow me to be spiritually wise, and bring about my evolution through personal consciousness and the gift of discernment.
As you may know, our Major Arcana cards come with meditative meanings for everyday meditations. I thought to include them because I know your life is hetic, as is everyone else's due to the grind that is the holidays. Take some time out to smell those beautiful roses, even if it only means the roses from our tarot deck. It's not impossible, and if that Blue Rose of the Impossible has taught you anything, you know that you are not alone by far. :) This sounds like a major life decision, so there is no harm in asking for guidance and reassurance that you are doing the right thing or heading out on the right path.
Much love to you always hon, and you know where to find me if needed! I look forward to your feedback to let me know I'm not completely out in left field here beyond the bleachers. ;)

Hi Megan,
Thank you for this opportunity to read for you. I apoligize for being late posting. I did the reading Friday and had to go to work. I sat down to type it up this morning when I got home, but was too sleepy to focus. This was an interesting reading. For your question:
“What do my Guides want me to know about my spiritual path over the next few months?” I am coming to a fork in the road regarding major life decisions and my head and my heart are disagreeing. My head says to go one way, my heart another.
I chose the Universal Waite Deck and the Standard Celtic Cross spread.
Card #1 - Heart of the matter or primary factor
XVII the Star
This card represents: hope, faith, dreams, intuition, and spiritual prosperity. You are optimistic and the star brings spiritual inspiration. The pool of water (emotions and imagination) are balanced by the strong foundation of the earth. As the goddess pours water I get "Love and hope flow eternal." I sense that you are well balanced in the spiritual and the physical matters even though you are feeling a pull between "the head and heart" as you said in your question.
Card #2 - Opposing factor or factor for change
VI the Lovers
Key words for this card are: choices offered, inspiration, romance, temptations. Are you looking for more spiritual or deeper personal relationship and afraid to up-set the balance or boundaries of this relationship? In this card I see the man is looking to the physical and the woman is looking to the spiritual. This may not represent your romantic relationship, but perhaps just the foundation of you dilemma. I think that you yourself are balanced, but you are feeling this conflict or pull between the physical and spiritual. Fears that your dreams will upset the balance of your most personal relationship.
Card #3 Root cause
King of Wands - reversed
Why you are delaying your decision:
Our king in the reversed position feels inadequate. He lacks confidence in his abilities and has doubts and insecurites. This could be you, but I really feel that it is a male person in your life holding you back or in the center of your situation. With his insecure feelings he may also be a little bit jealous and even a bit over protective and even guarded. He is not a bad fellow at all, just feeling insecure and reacting accordingly.
Card #4 - Past, foundations
I the Magician
The Magician has all the tools he needs for life and the persuit of happiness. He is creative, balanced, has passion as well as some maturity. He is educated but seeks a new path, and is standing on solid ground.
You have the passion, intuition as well as the education and intelligence. You are also kind and loving in your thoughts and actions. You have what it takes to follow your dreams - should you decide to move forward - or at least to make the decision.
Card #5 Attitudes and conscious influences
VIII Pentacles - reversed
This card indicates feelings of dissatisfaction in either your work situation or that your goals are being delayed. You are needing a change in conditions or surroundings. This card can represent a desire/need for more training or a need to seek professional advice or assistance.
Card #6 - Approaching influences
VIII Swords
There is a feeling of being tied down and not seeing the whole picture. You are not in any danger here, but you feel you can't move forward at this time. What you seek is just over the hill, but you are going to have to conquer your fears and break free from your restrictions - especially the ones you have placed on yourself. Only then will you be able to move forward.
Card #7 - You as you are or as you see yourself
IX the Hermit
The hermit appears with his eyes closed. He seems to be in prayer or meditation. he is wise, balance and centered, but he stands alone and lights the way for others. He is mature, wise and understands the truth. You are the hermit. Your are the wise mature one. (You are still fun-loving and young - I don't mean you are old and dull by any means). I think that others look to you for guidance and light, but sometimes you feel that you are standing alone.
Card #8 - External influences or as others see you
VI Swords
Your "knight" tries to protect you and shield you from the troubled waters. The family is heading toward the island of peace and rest. The gondolier (or knight as I refered to him before) and the island are really jumping off the card as standing out to me. Is he your island of refuge? Or is it you. Do other people look to you for rescue and protection?
Card #9 -Guidance
II Pentacles
There is a lot going on in this card. Our "Joe" here is standing on firm soil, but is balancing on one foot. The sea (waters of emotion, intuition, imagination) are rough, but the ships you have set sail are staying afloat fine and handling the waves well. Our guy here is not going to let it bother him, has turned his back to his troubled waters and put it behind him and is instead focusing all his attention to balancing his current funds/situations at hand. The pentacles are encircled by the lemniscate or ribbon of life. It represents continuum of life or eternal flow. Like taxes, there are some situations in life that don't go away, we just have to learn to deal with them and prepare for them the best we can. I just had a funny thought "he is wearing his fancy green dancing shoes - so everything will be OK.":laff:
Card #10 - Outcome
V Wands - reversed
This is one of those cards that is much better reversed that upright. As in the previous card, this card represent harmony in the midst of change. The people involved in this situation can come together to problem-solve and to make plans for the future. There is a good energy and politive outlook with good opplorunities coming your way.
Summary
I was unexpectedly short on time this week and thought of doing a shorter reading, but really felt the pull to do the longer spread. It is taking me longer, but is worth it in the long run.
Megan, In this reading, I fell a tug-o-war between your desires/dreams/emotions and the need to balance your finances/responsibilities. The last 4 cards indicate that you are heading in the right direction and soing well. Despite your concerns in cards 5 & 6, you can balance the head and the heart. There was a main theme running throughout this reading. You are balanced!. You may not always feel that your are, but have everything you need to make your decisions. You have to balance the head and the heart and trust in yourself.
Important numbers in this reading:
1 - New beginnings, courage, originality, the self
2 - Balancing, relationship, duality, psychic knowledge, intuition
5 - (also your life path I think) Change, adaptation, the rebel,
6 - (there were 2 of these) Idealism, advice, problem solving, matters of the heart and committed responsibility
8 - (there were 3 of these) Power, control, organization, mastery, materialism
9 - Completion, fullment, endings, vision, wisdom, intuition
I asked for names, messages or validating information and first I heard "Santa______" I could not make out the second word. I then thought of santa fe, santa cruz ??? I don't know. LOL, I don't think it was santa claus, unless that has some special meaning for you. Then I quickly heard the names, Charles, Ralphie and Rachael. At the end I got a really strange image of Clint Eastwood and then saw/heard him say "do ya feel lucky?... well, do ya?" I don't know what that is supposed to mean for you, if anything, but if it does, I would really like to hear about it.:laff:
Megan, I do thank you for allowing me to read for you. I hope that it does help you in some way. I look forward to reading your responses.
Love and blessings,
Jeannie
 Hi Megan
To answer your question, I decided to pull the following cards:
The Issue: Queen of Cups, rx
The Queen of Cups advises to listen to your heart. She is very clairsentient and follows her intuition..her gut reaction...always. And within that lies the trouble you are having; you want so badly to follow your heart but there is conflict (card came up reversed).
Path one (Heart's Desire): 5 Pentacles, rx
If you follow your heart, you probably feel that you will be turning away the hard times that you have gone through recently (which I believe are of a more earthly, financial matter). I am picking up here a strong resistance from someone else, I believe either your husband or father...a strong male that would be influential over you. 5's in numerology represent chaos and change. Things are up in the air under 5's influence, and change is imminent.
Path two (Mind's Desire): The Emperor
The Heart's Desire card is reinforced here; if you follow what your mind is telling you to do, you'd be following the advice of this strong male figure. The Emperor is the "authority figure"...he demands structure and regulation. Numerologically this card is a 4, and 4 is the number of work, creation, foundation and structure.
What you need to know about following your heart: Death, rx
The Death card in the Tarot is NOT representative of a physical death; it represents a transformation, a regeneration process. Something exits, and reenters in a new form. Being reversed, to me this shows a blockage in the transformation process. Some type of progress or transformation being hindered; a block in the path of the natural progression. Numerologically this card is a 13, which breaks down to 4 (1+3)...another 4. Structural issues, foundations being built.
What you need to know about following your mind: 4 Pentacles, rx
The 4 of Pentacles is about holding on very tightly to material things; almost, in some cases, to the point of greed. This does not have to be money, it can represent real estate, physical objects...basically anything solid and material. There may be a blockage in finances with this choice, borne out of not sharing these material possessions with others. And here is another 4 card.
The Summary:
Wow, Megan, a lot of 4's came up for you. I believe that issues of creation and building structures are very big for you right now. The picture I am getting is that your heart is telling you to follow your intuition and trust that it is guiding you in the right direction; however, your head is agreeing somewhat with the rationality of what this male authority figure is advising you to do. You are able to see both sides of this decision and because they both make sense to you (on very different levels) it's making this a very difficult decision for you. In a sense, you are fighting yourself.
While I am not getting a clear image of what the issues are exactly, I feel like there is some marital tension associated with this, but that it is centered around your employment. (At this point I am hearing a name that sounds like "Kowalski", not sure how that fits in.)
I drew 5 cards at this point and since 5 is the number of change I will pull one more, to try to clarify the best path for you: I pulled the Devil. I feel that this relates to you needing to cut the ties that bind you into feeling hopeless; that the situation you are in right now is one that you can walk away from and you'll be a better person for it.
Megan, I thank you for allowing us to read for you, and hope that this reading sheds a bit of light on things for you. I truly felt throughout this reading a sense of confusion and difficulty...I will pray that the best decision makes itself known to you and that your path becomes clear and easier to walk.
All the best to you and your family during the holidays!:hearts:

Megan,
Please let me say that it is a definitely a pleasure to be able to read for you this time around. Last time, I felt we were too close to be able to do an objective reading. Now, I feel this is a perfect opportunity for this kind of reading to take place.
Hazzah!!! Thank you!!
Okay the cross roads -My husband is ready to start a family, and me, well I am ready on some level, but on others the plunge to take that next step has been quite daunting. About a year ago we tried for a little while but no luck. Then we had to sell our house and move twice. We bought a new home, but it wasn't going to be ready until September, so we sold our house in April, moved into a rental from April til September and then moved again into the new house.
So we put off children as I honestly didn't want to have to deal with two moves and being pregnant at the same time, not to mention deal with the financials (as ideally if and when I do have kids, I'd like to be able to be home with them for more than 6 weeks) which is all you get. To take more than the allowed paid disability, the rest comes from sick pay, vacation, or unpaid leave.
Now that we are finally more settled, my desire to procrastinate keeps coming up. I have a big birthday this year that I'd like to be able to feel like I can celebrate, then my friend is getting married, and then there's this, and that... excuses that keep coming up... so I have been conflicted, I want kids but I also don't feel ready to let my life go - yet.
Both my husband and I have also wanted to make sure we could answer the bigger questions, are we financially ready? Which we almost are. Are you ready to give up your fun life and be reborn in a way to the fun life of a parent? My head and my heart keep disagreeing.
Actually its the only spread I know ;) so actually it makes sense to me :musicnote
Right on the nose. Yes, regarding this decision both my husband and I want to be at the right point in time. Financially and emotionally ready... It also speaks to my nurturing abilities which my mom has said would make me an awesome mom. I sometimes feel alone because I am there for everyone when they need it but I don't always clue others in when I am in need of TLC. But it also does speak to the fact that when given a responsibility I take it very seriously.
I confess, I do love the lime light for those fifteen minutes, but then I like it to go away, but the special feeling it gives me to stay. My inner strength as you know has been tested time and time again, and I am finally at a point where I can cow-girl up.
I trust my inner voice above all others. When I ignore it, I always run into trouble.
Ahh this one cuts right to the crux of my cross roads. It's interesting you get this card.
So you are not out in left field in fact you hit it square on the nose.
THANK YOU!! :hearts:

Hi Megan,
Thank you for this opportunity to read for you.
Hi Jeannie!! Thank you so much!! I appreciate your time and wisdom!!!
The translation of my question: My husband wants to start trying again for kids now, and I'd like to wait a few months, though my reasons are excuses rather than true reasons.
It's interesting that this card comes up again, Steph got it too! Yes it is true, of late I have finally felt balanced.
Yes. Having kids changes everything, and my world is very balanced right now, and I hate change. Let me say that again, I do not deal well with change. But I want kids, so I must deal with this change and find a way to maintain my balance.
I think you were right the first time, it is me. I have my doubts and insecurities of am I ready?
Card #4 - Past, foundations
I the Magician
The Magician has all the tools he needs for life and the persuit of happiness. He is creative, balanced, has passion as well as some maturity. He is educated but seeks a new path, and is standing on solid ground.
You have the passion, intuition as well as the education and intelligence. You are also kind and loving in your thoughts and actions. You have what it takes to follow your dreams - should you decide to move forward - or at least to make the decision.
This card tells me that I have what I need to do this.
A year ago I thought I was going to have a child, but then it turns out I wasn't, and I was really disappointed - a life goal delayed. Ironically the day I found out I wasn't pregnant. Interestingly that same day my best friend found out she was. A year ago I was feeling ready and like I could do it, but then life happened, we had to sell the house and move, and then we had to get our finances back together and situated. Then life kept happening, and this next step keeps getting put off.
This is so right on the nose - you have no idea. When I have thought of having kids, I do fear losing myself, the pregnancy itself and not being able to eat anything I like, not to mention physically having this kid, and sacrificing all personal freedom. When I am having my freak out moments of irrationalities, I do lose sight of the big picture.
I do sometimes feel alone which is partly of my own doing as I don't reach out when I feel that way. It's funny you get this card. I think this actually relates to my state of mind on Friday. I had put myself in a situation where I felt very alone and isolated and I was really stressing out. Then a miracle happened that made everything ok. (I had promised a friend I'd video tape an event for her, but after I promised I found out that a group of people I strongly dislike that I used to work with were going to be there. I didn't want to deal with them as each encounter I've had since my break away has been uncomfortable and awkward. Then by some miracle, a solution presented itself that would allow me to video her event, and not have to deal with them. On Friday I felt very much the hermit though.
Yes it might be both. My hubby, my knight, is my refuge and protector. He is an amazing loving man. And yes, there are some people in my life that I protect and have rescued.
How appropois, green dancing shoes :) I tease in ballet that our shoes should be any other color than pink as I am not a fan of the color. But back to the question I had posed, that it does re-assure me of what my heart has been telling me. That yes it will be rough, but it will be ok.
Cool.
Summary
I was unexpectedly short on time this week and thought of doing a shorter reading, but really felt the pull to do the longer spread. It is taking me longer, but is worth it in the long run.
Thank you so much for your time, I really do appreciate it!!!
Megan, In this reading, I fell a tug-o-war between your desires/dreams/emotions and the need to balance your finances/responsibilities. The last 4 cards indicate that you are heading in the right direction and doing well. Despite your concerns in cards 5 & 6, you can balance the head and the heart. You have to balance the head and the heart and trust in yourself.
Thank you. It makes sense.
Santa Cruz - that is where my best friend's husband is from who just had their child.
Charles? The name of one of my friend's kids. Ralphie? This one didn't make sense either, but Rachel did. She is my other friend who has a child.
Clint Eastwood? I would feel very lucky to have a kid. :hearts:
Jeannie, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy life to help shed some wisdom on this. This is not a decision I am making lightly and it has not been easy to decide. I have been wanting to procrastinate and put it off... if I let my head lead the way, it might never happen. So my head and my heart were disagreeing, put it off, or just go for it. I think the solution is somewhere in between.
Thank you again!!! :musicnote :hearts:

Thank you so much for the rapid and detailed feed back. It was pleasure and honor to be able to read for you. Now that I know your situation, I can see where the cards were going. Especially the Lovers. For me, a family was just the logical thing to do. It is true that your life changes completely, but the rewards more than make up for it. It is a very personal choice and you will always be able to find excuses. Best of luck on what ever you decide to to.
Love and blessings,
Jeannie :hearts:

Thank you Mrs. Jones!!! I really appreciate your time and energy spent on this reading :)
The translation of my question: My husband wants to start trying again for kids now, and I'd like to wait a few months, though my reasons are excuses rather than true reasons. My heart says go for it, my head says, but wait you've got xyz event coming up, or wait a few more months so you'll have more $$ in the bank account, or, or .... you get the idea ;)
The Issue: Queen of Cups, rx
The Queen of Cups advises to listen to your heart. She is very clairsentient and follows her intuition..her gut reaction...always. And within that lies the trouble you are having; you want so badly to follow your heart but there is conflict (card came up reversed).
I do want to follow my heart, my logical head keeps getting in my way.
When I did want kids, my hubby was resistant at that time as he wasn't ready and quite honestly neither was I. He wanted to be more financially secure and in a bigger house before we started to have kids. With regard to change, as I said in Jeannie's, I hate change, but change is imminent and must be dealt with accordingly and having kids certainly does change everything.
My hubby is very structured, but the authority figure? hmm... but the creation, foundation, and structure bit makes sense with regard to augmenting our family.
With regard to this question, this card makes sense absolutely :hearts: 13 is also my favorite number and yes does break down to my number which is 4. (Numerologically speaking - add my birthday up and it reduces to 4)
What you need to know about following your mind: 4 Pentacles, rx
The 4 of Pentacles is about holding on very tightly to material things; almost, in some cases, to the point of greed. This does not have to be money, it can represent real estate, physical objects...basically anything solid and material. There may be a blockage in finances with this choice, borne out of not sharing these material possessions with others. And here is another 4 card.
Interesting, another 4 card. As to the issue with materialism, hm... oh wait yes, it does make sense. My hubby and I have grown accustomed to a comfortable lifestyle - no we aren't wealthy but comfortable and I know for him he wanted to make sure he would be able to maintain his level of comfortability as he called it before we took the plunge.
Yes. I have been fighting myself over this one. On many levels I have felt ready but on others, my head has posed arguements with me... No you must wait to have this in place first. Then you must wait for this event to pass, then you must wait for this to be in place .... Oh but they are in place, this event has passed and look there's your friend's kid and isn't he cool look at how much she loves him, and don't you want that? Wait. You've got this reason and that to wait a little longer... round and round til I'm worn out and wondering which path I should follow.
While I am not getting a clear image of what the issues are exactly, I feel like there is some marital tension associated with this, but that it is centered around your employment. (At this point I am hearing a name that sounds like "Kowalski", not sure how that fits in.)
On Thanksgiving this issue did come to a head between my hubby and I, but thankfully, it has since been worked through.
The issue with regard to employment is ideally I'd like to be at home for as long as possible before having to return to work. In a perfect world I'd be a stay at home mom, but sadly we can't afford it.
Kowalski? I knew of someone from work with that last name but I never met her. So I don't know about the Kowalski... hm... I'll have to think about it.
That makes sense. As I said in response to the other readings, the biggest person at present holding me back, is me.
Thank YOU!!! YOU all have helped shed some light on this in ways that truly make sense. I've prayed long and hard about this, as my heart says yes let's start having kids, but my head keeps getting in my way with either old fears, or not wanting to miss out on fun events, or dealing with the changes that come with having kids.
If anything this has helped me feel out that inner voice that has been talking to me, and I've been waivering on listening to it.
Again my sincere thanks and Happy Holidays to you too!!!! :hearts: :musicnote

Megan, I just decided to pull a Grace Card for you.
Illumination: Believe in the power of grace. When we least expect it, a new door will open and the light of grace will illuminate our next step.
:hearts:
Wow. This actually makes sense. On Friday I really needed God because I was really stressed, tired, and felt really alone. Then by the Grace of God everything worked out.
Thank you!! :musicnote :hearts: :candle:
(((Megan)))
Thank you so much for your feedback:hearts:
Wow...this is a huge decision. I wondered if the reading would make any sense, I felt so confused throughout it...maybe just a little bit of what you have been going through? I wish you both all the best with your decision. Good luck!
