I've lived in the Northeast most of my life and seen all kinds of snow and other variations on precipitation, but I must admit this is the first time I've ever seen it snowing slush, lol. Work was cancelled today ... I'm glad I don't have to try to drive in this:eek: :D .

Well ... I just went out to "brush" the snow off my car. Okay, so brushing was NOT effective, pushing is more like it. The storm's no where near over yet, but I was afraid if I didn't do it now, there would be no doing it after the storm. There was about 8 inches on the car and it was PACKED, lol ... you could have thought that someone had made a bunch of car snow sculptures... I sincerely hope it warms up without going to ice or sleet or we're REALLY gonna have a mess here.

Snowing slush?? Sounds terrible!:(

We didn't get any snow but had several days of below freezing temperatures. Everything here was in full bloom and the peach, apple and pear trees were killed along with blueberries and much of the strawberry crop.

I shall miss the road side stands where we get our fruit all summer.

:candle: :candle: Prayers for all the people in the north east who are having such horrible weather this week.

Lots of rain and wind here. The wind was howling all night with the sounds of storm doors opening and closing...trash barrels tipping over...woo hoo! What fun! ;) Thank goodness we have a good roof. Stay warm and dry everyone!

This is the first time I can ever say this, and Carolyn will appreciate this more than anyone else...

We got absolutely nothing from this nor'easter. I'm sure it's supposed to snow later on tonight when the temp drops, but we got all rain or nothing at all. We had Winter Storm warnings and Lake Effect warnings all weekend, but no snow or rain. A big opps on the weatherman's part this time around. All warnings were cancelled by Sunday morning.

Its Patriots Day here. The re-enactments of Paul Revere's ride and the Battle in Lexington were cancelled. But the Boston Marathon went on as planned. Yuck...sloshy running shoes!

Hey Steph ... don't you hate it when that happens? :P

Just went out and pushed another 4 inches off the car ... and the wind! It's a good thing the snow is so wet ... it would be total whiteout conditions now if it weren't, as it is, it's only partial whiteout.

Sounds like the world skipped a cog in its last rotation... snowing slush sounds like typical Illinois weather! :hmm:

If you had some cherry syrup you could make slushies! :)

(You know, that whole "make lemonade out of lemons" type thing?)

I think storms like this are God's way of saying "stay home...take a break...."
