View Full Version : A day to honor John's Mom
(Every time my angel husband Jeff has a birthday, I call his mom and thank her. I thank her for adopting him, and bringing him up to be such a wonderful man, with such a good heart and soul. Her children's birthdays are always special days in her heart, and we listen to the same story every year, about how she got the call, and how the babies came home.)
Here's to the "Princess" that gave us John Edward, I raise my glass to you, madam, I honor you on this day as well.
To John's Mom, Perinda:
Happy Day, Happy John's Birthday :)
An interesting tradition. I like it.
Absolutely! I said a prayer for John's mom today. She was certainly a friend to her son. After all, without her encouragement and support, where would he be today?

HI There,
What a lovely thought Pam, I just wish that I could join the chat party tonight for John's birthday but as you know the time difference here in the UK won't allow it, It will be 2pm here and sadly I have to get up for work at 6am, so please give a mention on behalf of the UK fans and wish everyone a great time.
Stay safe Sandra

Pam, I like that idea a lot. I'm sure the best gift we could give John would be prayers for his loved ones.

Yes, I totally agree! Without John's mom we'd never had John.
Prayers and love going to the Other Side as well!

I started that tradition with my mom a long time ago. Now every year on my birthday I send her flowers with a note telling her that I love her and thanking her for my birthday. Since I'm not working this year on my birthday I think I'll even hand deliver her flowers and take her to lunch.

I'm reading a very old book and the part about raising a child psychic was part of what I read today. Here's what it said.
"When mediumship is spontaneous with children it should not be repressed, neither should it be excessively exercised; nor should child mediums be made much of and their mediumship extolled in their hearing. The fact of their possession of the psychic power of seeing or hearing, or any other 'gift,' should be regarded as natural, and be accepted in a a calm, common-sense manner; and by judicious encouragement and temperate use of their powers lasting good may result."
John's mother did a good job, it seems.

Just like Edgar Cayce's family. Cayce exhibited signs as a child and he was encouraged, I think mainly by his Grandmother but also by other family members who had psychic abilities. His biography - "There Is a River" by Thomas Sugrue.

Pam.. you are really special yourself. I would call "my" mom on my birthday to thank her but never thought to thank my Mother-in-Law for her son on his birthday. I have a lump in my throat just from reading your message. You have such a big heart. Prayers to you, our friends here w/JEFs, John and his Mom. Thank you. :)

Wow -- this is great. I realize this is what my mom did for me! When I started describing my dreams and visits from my uncle who died when I was 9, she just said, That's nice, dear, I'm sure he's fine where he is now. I asked her what it was like in the afterlife, and she said no one knows because those who have died don't come back and tell us what it's like. But when I asked if Uncle Clark had really visited me in my dreams, she said it was possible, but she treated it like it was no big deal.
I was really lucky!
The only restriction she put on my psychic experiments was that when my friend and I had seances when we were ten, she wouldn't let us use candles because we would no doubt have burned the house down. ;)
I was really shocked when I went to college and was made fun of for my beliefs in the afterlife -- that's when I learned to keep my mouth shut about it unless I felt it would be received well.

to princess!!! She did raise a very charmed man! a regular prince charming in every sence of the word, His caring and thoughtfulness to those around him and the way he cares for all, is surely a gift given from thefather in heavan as well as the way he was raised the gift of love was given to him... and from that he shares..
PEGGY- I used to do the same thing for my mom, for some odd reason I stopped... heck if I know why! very bad of me to have stopped. part of it was finances. but it was something I know my mom loved.. will have to start it again this upcomming year.
