I have been reading the Friends of JE board for about a month now and feel compelled to post after having the most incredible evening last night at the SF seminar. I have to say that I only discovered JE about three months ago. I have become an avid fan and decided to try to get tickets as soon as I heard he was coming. I was finally able to get them through ebay and was a little disappointed to be in the balcony. I had a terrible time getting there- parking and traffic were horrendous. I ended up sitting down after he started but was amazingly surprised to be his second reading of about 15 in almost three hours of readings. In fact several of his readings were in the balcony so if you're going, don't worry about where you sit! In any case, I will say that in the month preceding the show I spent a lot of time thinking about all of my family and friends that passed and tried to be "open to the process" and I think it worked. In any case, he pointed to my section and said "I'm coming here next with someone who passed in a tub." I validated three things he said so I raised my hand and he said no to me and went to a man three rows in front of me. That man tried to make things fit but they weren't connecting. Meanwhile I kept on validating so I raised my hand again; (actually I waved them at John). This time he listened to me, then said "They're telling me I am with you and that I should have stayed with you all along-I owe you and apology!" It truly was an amazing experience. From that point on I connected with almost every single thing he said. Some of the things he said were things I hadn't thought of in years. I don't mean to be long winded but I do think that though this was not the family I expected to come through, they are my grandmother's family and she is ill right now so I'm sure that's why they chose this opportunity to connect with me. I also found out from his manager after the show that he will start on CBS Aug.27, every day at 3 p.m and Scifi will chage his time to 8 p.m. each night. That thrilled me because, quite frankly, I'm exhausted from staying up until midnight every night! She also said he will take July and August off from touring but will start up again in the fall so be sure to keep checking his site for dates and places. Sorry to go on, but he is a most amazing man and the experience was life changing for me. Besides that, he's cute and so funny in person! It was truly worth every penny and all my aggravation to get there.....
