Pam!!!

How wonderful! <<doin a quacky duck dance>> That little munchkin will change your life and how you perceive it forever and ever. Like you need any more major revelations?

Do you know approximately how old he is? How many aunties and uncles is 1 child allowed? I am so happy for you. <<another quacky dance>>

I got to hold a little 2 1/2 monrh old this morning at work. It is the most incredible feeling. All the old moves and instincts kick in like almost immediately. Mommy feelings are really good.

Sorry Don, don't get any funny ideas at this stage in my life. Just think about getting up at 4:30 in the morning to take daughter skating in a very cold ice rink. Dulled the thoughts a little huh?

Congratulations Pam, you will make a good mom. Just look how well you whipped us into shape.

xo xo xo xo for munchkins

I am very happy for you Pam. Before I knew you, my parents (don&fairiedust) had updated me on the adoption. Congratualtions!
If you ever need any parenting advice, I can send you to some great people.:lwink: I can never stress how blessed I am to have the parents that I have. If you are half as wonderful as they were/are, Zach is a lucky boy.
Take care.

oh my word! your in for a treat! if you havnt got tweenies, in the states yet! i hope u do get it! there so much fun! my daughter rachel is nearly 5, and she loves them, but there for all ages really. there is four of them, and its set in a play group type of thing, and they sing, dance, play games and stuff! and any age will enjoy them!
in any case having a youngster in the house will take you back to your "child hood". whatever u watch with them, is fun. hope you get your little bundle of joy soon!

Dawn, may I send my grand nephews to England to learn how to say "please"? PLEEEEZZZEEEE! Seems like the only words they know are "More! More!" and "Mine! Mine"! Just keep them there until they they get a little older...say like 25.

Geez, I told my nieces to have girls...but NOOOOO!

Now you guys have me curious about these "tweeny" things. My girls are a little too old for them now (6 and 9), but what exactly are they?

Pam, congratulations. What great news!:D

Hi Pam, I am very happy for you, my sister adopted a little boy from Vietnam last October and he is just a joy and a half. *S*

I read this today and wanted to share it with you, it touched my heart.

Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family.
One little boy in the picture had a different color hair than the other family members. One child suggested that he was adopted
and a little girl said, "I know all about adoptions because I was adopted." "What does it mean to be adopted?" asked another child. "It means," said the girl, "that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy."

Enjoy your day!

Thank you Christy! He's not even here yet and already we are know what it's like to "worry like a parent" :)

I must love him, because I keep praying to God that he's protected and healthy

The pug has an adopted brother and it has been a real learning experience for me. My brother is nine years younger than I and jokes that he has 4 mothers( I have 2 sisters). I have learned so much from him. We were lucky to have had him in our home from the time he was eight days old. He's now 31. I have made up my mind to adopt when I'm ready to have a family! Have fun!!! Sheila

WOW!
Your baby is almost here! Remember what sleeping through
the night is like? It doesn't matter when all is said and done. My
first son woke about every two hours for the first few months. And it didn't matter. Everytime I looked at his little face, it just
didn't matter.
I know I've said it before, but what magic and love awaits
you. Like nothing you can imagine! If I'd had the chance I would
have adopted a little one in a heart beat.
And could you not be a great parent? In just the past few
months you've been there for us, in every happy time, and every
little crisis. Sometimes I don't know how you put up with us, ex-
cept with that infinite patience only a natural born Mom could
have.
Zach is a lucky boy, and you are lucky parents. Bless you
all three.
Love, Julie

As Dpn said last night. If one were dropped off on the doorstep we certainly wouldn't kick em out on the street. Babies are special little beings that build a family.

Your house will never be the same again.

I t will be a home, full of laughter, tears, shared feelings and all the tenderness that makes it warm and fuzzy for the heart

How wonderful for you, Pam. I know exactly how you feel. A little over 28 years ago we got "THE CALL". The only difference was that after a 3 year wait, placement took place the same day.

There is a whole new world about to open up for you. Nothing felt sooo fantastic as being able to see it again through my daughter's eyes. What a treat it was to experience the wonders of childhood all over again.

One of these days I hoipe to learn how to insert an image on the first try.
