I extremely happy for the Jody crew what an awesome reading!
Thought I'd pass along a story of my own adventure...
I heard John Edward was coming to New Haven and tried to get tickets to no avail. SOLD OUT! Even did the Ebay thing, but when they went above $300, I had to bow out of the bidding. Anyway. I live about 2 1/2 hours from New Haven and decided to just give it a shot and show up and see if I could get tickets somehow at the door. My neighbor who is my partner in crime decided to go with me for the adventure.
Let me start in the early morning while I was getting ready. My blow dryer has a pesky habit of overheating and turning off when I'm in the middle of drying my hair, which it did on this occassion as well. I took it in stride and turned it off and lay it on the counter until it had a chance to cool down. While I was brushing my teeth waiting for my blowdryer, I was sort of talking to my FRIENDS upstairs, asking them to make themselves known to John if on the offchance we got in. But conversely feeling guilty for asking, when I know there are so many other families out there that NEED the reading more than me. As I was thinking these thing, my blowdryer sprung to life, scaring the absolute bejesus out of me. (I swore I turned it off like I always do when it overheats). I wondered then if this was a message.
We got to the Hotel at 10:00am and saw that there was already a line forming. We went in search of a parking garage. For some reason, parking garages in New Haven are closed on Saturdays. We finally found one open after much circling of the blocks about 4 streets down and 2 blocks over. By the time we parked and walked back to the hotel it was 10:30am. We went to the back of the line which now stretched around the other side of the building. As my friend stayed in line, I decided to go see what I could do to ask for tix at the door. I went up to the front but the ushers and attendants said there was nothing available. There were also many police officers patrolling the lines for potential scalpers. I returned to the back of the line with my friend. We decided to stay in line and kept an ear out for anyone having extra tickets.
They started letting people in and the line kept moving forward. When we were about 20 yards from the door when we started to panic and wonder what we were going to do when we got the the door with no tickets. My friend noticed a woman who seemed to be looking for someone or possibly in search of tickets herself. The woman went to stand up next to the ushers at the door. My friend told me she was going to go stand next to her to see if she knew how to get tickets while I remained in line. While I stood in line, I just thought to myself, "OK, guys we're coming down to the wire here - we really need some help. Maybe you could pull some strings UP THERE and help get us in somehow" I no sooner thought this than I heard my friend come back and hollar for me to Come On! That we had tickets. I Hadn't seen what had transpired at the front of the line but soon learned that at the moment my friend had stood next to the woman we had noticed, there were two girls who were just about to go into the door of the hotel for the show. They turned and asked this woman if she needed tickets. The woman replied No, she already had some, but turned to my friend and asked if she needed any tickets. My friend replied that she needed 2. The girls turned around and said Yeah! We have two!
I know this sounds coincidental, but it was to me an amazing experience. And I looked UP (for lack of better direction) and thanked my FRIENDS who had come through for me yet again. I didn't get a reading, but I didn't need to. I had had all the validation I had needed and then some for the day.
The readings John did give were amazing. He really is exactly how he come across on the show. But one thing that I was astonished with that you don't see through the medium of TV is his aura. I am not very adept at seeing peoples auras but have on occassion tried. I couldn't get over at how VISIBLE his was. It was as if he were backlit by some intense extremely white light. It moved around him as he paced around the stage like some 70's psychadlic stuttered movement. (I wish I had a better desciption because it was incredible) There was so much wonderful energy in the room. I'd go again in a heartbeat!!!
If anyone gets the chance to see him, GO! it's worth it. And if by any chance the two girls who happened to have the extra tickets come across this site - THANK YOU too!
