View Full Version : What about when you miss a validation?

I have really been kicking myself for missing a couple of meaningful validations when I had my reading at Madison Square Garden. Now granted, there were 5,000 people watching, so nervousness is expected. But my grandfather came through with my pet nickname and I missed it. Duh. So there wasn't that surety that HE was there talking with the others that showed up. I'm not crying poor me about the reading; we had a wonderful reading with many family members acknowledged. I just feel so dumb and like I missed a moment my grandfather worked so hard to give me personally. And I didn't get to validate him personally as being there becuase I missed it.
I didn't make the connection for 4 months. I wish I could have it to do over again so I could validate that and a few other things that I didn't get. I just wondered if any of you others who have had readings have experienced similar brain skids and how you think about it.

But Blaire, you did get it ;)
Perhaps not then, but it seems to me that isn't unusual. The point is they sent you a message, and you got it :D
Happy for you!
Tammy
In my reading many of the validations that I described didn't "click" until later. Some of them I made sense of by the next day when I had my after interview with the producers but one literally "hit" me almost a month later. I laughed out loud at the irony and humor that my mom showed. (it was an inside joke between mom and me) I could just imagine her saying "Ah Ha!!, you finally got it!!" I know she was there when John said it and was there when I finally "got it". They're there, period. They are still part of your life just in a different way. As long as you remember that, you will know the "when" doesn't matter. Amy:)

Hi BBsBliss:
You're talking to someone here who had forgotten her great-grandmother's name and that was the very first thing that came through JE...oy!
But, I agree with Tammy & Amy, you did "get it" eventually, and it doesn't matter "when" either.
Consider yourself very fortunate enough to have gotten a reading. I know I do!! I thank my loved ones everyday. I am sure that the percentage is high of people missing atleast one thing at a time of a reading and that's understandable.
The things that I had missed at the time of the reading eventually came to me, some on the train ride home, and some the next day by family members. Actually, I think that was how it was suppose to be anyway, because it made the "WOW" even more incredible.
So, try not to be down about your missed validations.....you got them evenutally, and that is all that matters ;)
Hope that helped.
Take care, Cyndy

Thanks for your replies; you guys are the best. It WAS amazing. It's like JE is always saying: no matter what comes through, we always want just a little more.... But I do feel better after reading your posts and knowing I'm know the only one with psychic amnesia. I guess you're right: that's the way it's supposed to happen. Thanks again.

I am a new member, but I do talk and discuss things with family members who hae crossed. And like you sometimes I don't get their message back at first. Sometimes I have to listen even harder. I have never had the opportunity to be read by JE but sure wish I could. He seems so fascinating to me. I watch him every day and am so drawn to the set that my husband calls me crazy. I agree with what JE says about not needing him to be in touch with the other side, but I still would like to talk with him.
My grandmother was a very big part of my life. She and my grandfather raised me. I do speak with her often, but to have this validated would be my big dream.
There are several on the other side that I'm sure would come thruough, but she is the big part of my life here that I would like to have validated by JE> Maybe one of these days I will get lucky. But in the mean time I will just speak with her on my own. I know she's with me always.
I am very proud I found this site and have read some many of your comments. It's nice to be able to talk to others that believe.

Hi! Welcome! That is the biggest "validation" you can give them. Acknowledging them in your everyday life, and the "knowing" that they are with you, always.
...and we're glad you found your way here to this site too :)
Be well

My husband and I missed a few things when we were read too. Its so nerve wracking and exciting that you tend to miss so much. we actually forgot our sons name. John busted us on that one. In the end we validated almost everything and we were able to tell the producers in the follow up all that was validated.

I think I might have missed a vaidation when I was in the gallery and a seminar but the important thing to know is....that you heard it when you did. That in itself is the message you were suppose to receive.
