So here's my next question... hope I'm not in danger of wearing out my welcome.... :)

Has anyone ever had any experience with photographs, and images, or spots appearing?

My Dad passed just before I was to be married in Jamaica last June. He was planning on attending. A medium told me immediately after his death, that he would be there with me, and I should be aware of him.

Well, the ceremony came and went and I did'nt witness or feel any obvious signs. However, two days later while posing for a photograph with my husband and two daughters (we had the digital camera on auto-timer) I got this overwhelming sensation of his presence. Sure enough, when we viewed the photo, dead center over my chest is a large white cloudy circle.

It was not so much what the photograph looked liked for me, but the feeling I had at that instant, and the chills I got when I viewed it.

Anyone else ever witness this phenomena in photos? Can I post this photo is anyone care to see?

in peace and love.....

Kathy,
Yes,I know what you are talking about...they are called orbs.My son passed away April 2001 and some of his friends did a memorial for him. When the pictures were developed just the ones that were taken of the memorial had the white spots or circles on them. They had them enlarged and after talking to a medium found they were orbs or spirits. We have had several since then.A real distinct one was on one of the pictures of the prom..My son was to go with his girlfriend...she had her dress picked out and then Nick passed one month before.
The medium told me that they really show up with a digital camera and that lots of times around the holidays you will see them since our loved ones who have crossed are with us alot around that time.
I would love to see your picture and I can also give you the name of a web-site that has all about orbs that is very interesting. You can e-mail me privately if you'd like.
Your dad was definitely with you at your wedding!!!!!!

Ears!

Go to www.survivalscience.org

There are many websites you can go to and take a look if you want. When searching, type "orb" or "orb photography". Interesting and great stuff!!

And, your are not alone..... the spots that you mentioned, I brought this up on the Delphi board as a post. I see these little tiny white lights all the time. A flash or speck of light. I have been to the eye doctors prior, so I know my eyes are fine. This topic had many replies from people, because they had similar experiences, not only with white lights, but other colors also (gray, black).

Take care, Cyndy

Yes, I have also many photographs that have very strange images, auras and other interesting features. Is there a way to have an expert look at these images and tell me something about them? If so, how would I go about seeking this type of help out?
Let me give you a description of just a few of the ones that I have. When I was a high school senior, I lost my Grandfather to cancer. He had one of the most devastating forms of lung cancer and it took him very quickly. So quickly, in fact, that I felt guilty that I had not spent more time with him. Losing him devastated me tremendously. At his funeral, all of the grandchildren took a picture standing near Grandpa's casket. Several pictures were taken by different family members. Shortly thereafter, at our family reunion, everyone passed around their pictures of all of the grandchildren stand near Grandpa; on every single picture, there is a whitish halo-effect circling each of us grandchildren - but each image only shows one halo per grandchild! It was as if Grandpa was showing us that he was with each and every one of us grandchildren. He loved us so much - I hold that picture very closely to my heart.
The next most unexplainable set of pictures I have I would really like to have researched. I lost my great-grandmother in 1989, and we also had taken pictures of her at the funeral. The film was processed with no flaws or anything unusual to note. Naturally, the same camera that took Grandma's pictures was used to capture a variety of different things (ie: birthdays, holidays, and other miscellaneous gatherings, landscapes, etc.) In 1991, my oldest brother was going through a very difficult time following a divorce and had started to go to nightclubs and drink very heavily to numb his pain. One night, he took his drinking too far, and while driving home he fell asleep at the wheel , losing control and flipped his Ford Ranger pickup truck. Thankfully, no one was hurt. My brother literally walked away with only minor cuts and scratches. The force from the impact literally caved the entire cab of the truck down to the level of the dash, EXCEPT, for an A-frame bend in the cab on the driver's side above my brother's head! We took pictures of the truck following the accident for insurance reasons but mostly for a validation for my brother to wake up and realize that he had cheated death. NO ONE could believe their eyes by what we saw when the pictures came back from being developed. On every single picture of the truck, there is also an image of my great-grandmother lying in her casket! Every single one of them! So, needless to say, my brother is now a believer - he has also embraced this message and has straightened his life out. But, how amazing! That camera had taken literally hundreds of pictures in between my great-grandmother's death and my brother's close call. I know for a fact that she was letting my brother know very well that she saved his life that night.
Thank you for sharing your story and also for allowing me to refresh my experiences with our pictures as well. I would also like to find out more about this, and if you get any info. regarding this, let me know! I am a frequent visitor here!
Sincerely,
shawnsheppard

Incredible tales... I enjoyed reading them. I don't know where to direct you about getting the photos validated, or if that type of thing can even be done. What I find most often is I'll look at it, and be sure of what I see, only to have the skeptic in me (I guess) question the validity at another time.

It was good to hear from one of our other members on this board, and have her view my photo, just to tell me I had not lost my mind.

Good luck in your search if you decide to persue it, and if not.... enjoy the gift you and your brother received. After all you are the only ones who can assign a value to those photographs, be your own proof. :)

I have a bunch of pictures like that, too.

In the Chicago are there is this tour that takes people around to different haunted spots all over the city. One of the places where the tour stops is the totem pole near the lake. The tour guide (Richard Crowe, he's great) talks about different paranormal things related to the totem pole and gives everyone time to stretch thier legs and take pictures. So I took 2 pictures of him while he was talking and in the first one there is nothing abnormal, but in the second there is a huge solid, white ball over his head. I called him and told Mr. Crowe and told him about it and he said he wasn't suprised because he has had several people over the years with similar pictures of him at the totem pole.

I had some pictures from my wedding reception out last night and saw some orbs around my husband in one of them and a really big one around my mom in another.

I feel like they are more common then people know, but most people don't know what they are looking at.

If you want to see a bunch of these anomalous photos - ghostweb.com is a good location. There are examples of orbs, vortices, and ectoplasmic vapors. I find the vortices the most interesting for a couple of reasons: 1) they seem to be the hardest to explain from the perspective of something "normal" captured within the picture 2) They could be some sort of portal to another dimension. A vortex appears conical in shape, and usually is lighter at the edges, so that you can actually see through them at that point. They get to be a more dense white towards the center, which implies that these are three dimensional objects. I try to correlate these vortices to the tunnels described by near death experiencers.

During one CO show that I was watching on tape, I noticed something passing by Johns arm. When I slowed the tape down, it appeared to be an orb travelling right past John. Of course, it could have been something else, but that is what it looked like to me.

Oh yes - I found 2 orbs at my wedding reception and I'm sure one of them was my best friend :)

Also - I'll have to post this picture for you guys because it is unbelievable - I have a picture my uncle took of the dog we gave him in 1989, right before he was put to sleep in 1999 - and there were two large white shapes above him and both looked like angels....it is posted on the internet somewhere, on a site that deals with orb photography - I will dig up the link and show you guys.
