An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,
regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.

Wow Pam

That is very interesting. So many times I have felt such strong ties to the few people that I have gotten close to. Just myself and my husband for example.

I grew up in Vermont and he came to work on his cousins farm from----Arizona!! Who knew:) .

Thanks

Kathy (by the way his cousin takes all the credit for us getting together)

I just learned yesterday, that a friend of mine named Kevin, from my youth, crossed over. I knew him when we both lived in the Chicago suburbs. We both moved away to different states, many years ago.

Three years ago, I was back in the same area because I was on job interviews, and I had time to kill before my flight left for New Jersey. I walked into a local haunt, just to see if the same old crowd would be there. There was Kevin, and he explained that he just happened to be there visiting family, and had also not set foot in that local hangout for over 10 years, like me. He told me he had throat cancer, but was doing pretty good. We got to catch up a little, on family and friends, and when it was time to go, I got to hug and kiss him goodbye.

I don't think it was a mistake that after all those years, I decided to walk into the dark little corner bar in the tiny little burb of my youth. And I don't think it was an accident that Kevin was there that day too. I'm thankful I got to say "goodbye" on This Side, knowing he's smiling at me right now, as I share this story with you. The invisible red thread pulled us together that day :)
