***Original post:
I received this in a feedback form. I think I missed the show she's talking about, so I don't know the answer:
I was watching the show today (2/21/02). He had a guest on. Don Conaselly. (spelling might be wrong). He sang a song, Over on the other side. I was wondering if you know where I might get that song, or if it is even out yet on CD? I lost my daughter 2 1/2 years ago and that song really hit the mark on my feelings about her. I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks!
Not sure if this is what you're looking for. There is a song entitled, "Meet Me Over On The Other Side" available on the CD "Sugar Hill Collection" by Country Gentlemen. The genre is considered Blue Grass/Country.
There is another song called "The Other Side" by Michael W. Smith, a contemporary Christian singer. This sounds like it could be the one, judging by the lyrics.
"I'm on The Other Side
True, I used to walk your shore,
But I'm not there anymore,
I'm on The Other Side..."
If you do a search by song title or artist at www.cdnow.com you can preview that track and see if it's the song you're looking for.
Jude thank you....but that's not it.
Oh my God - I just heard the song on today's show...I'm in tears because it's so beautiful.
I promise you all I will find out how to get a copy of that song, and post the information here. It was so touching, so beautiful :)
Oh, dear! Sorry I missed it, then! Sounds like it was great.
Don Conoscenti is the name of this marvelous artist.

It took a long time for the song to "load" but I'm glad I was patient and waited!!
It's fabulous. I strongly suggest having a kleenex close by.
Thanks Pam for tracking this down :)

That was great! i'll have to go out and find it.
Thanks alot.

Today's show with the song was the most moving Crossing Over I've ever seen. While they played the song, they showed a montage of pictures and home videos of many of the crossed over loved ones that have come through on the show, plus images of the tears of joy and healing of those who got readings. I completely lost it. I think the sharing of grief and common experiences of loss and healing makes JE's show run circles around anything else on daytime TV.

Great mesmerizing song Pam! Thanks for tracking it down for all of us. Was this song sung on one of the syndicated shows? They are only on in the daytime here now, so I don't get to see them. I hope they will re run some of the better ones this summer.
Thanks again,

Thanks so much Pam,
We lost our middle son almost 11 months ago and this song was just beautiful.I cried the whole time I was listening to it but
each word was so true. Thanks again,
Cris
The more I listen to this song, the more I want it played at whatever gathering happens when I cross.
"Tell them I did not die,
I'm just over on the other side."
"Can you feel me there with you?
My breath is gone, but I'm not through.
Loved you then and I still do."

The simplicity of the words and music in Don Conoscenti's,:star:
" The Other Side," are, to me, so symbolic of just how uncomplicated the process of CAV-ing truly is!
This song, and it's message, are going to have a profound effect on the human spirit! I am grateful to John for recongnizing this, and providing the opportunity to share it with so many!

I rarely get teary eyed when I watch CO but I have to admit when they played "Crossing Over" and he sang, "I can fly, I can fly" and they showed the picture of the hawk soaring I did get teary eyed. Whether we can fly or not is one of the big questions that I have about being on the other side. - Art
That was absolutely beautiful! Its like it was done especially for Crossing Over. I didn't see this show...was the whole show some kind of special edition? This would be a perfect song for a wake and I am with Pam, I want it played at mine.

Another good song to listen to is Ozzy Ozbournes', "See you on the other side". Give it a listen, it's a great song. And, for anyone who wants to know, it's not a "Heavy" song.

I just played the song for my Dad. He loved it also. It will be a year March 11 that we lost my mom and he knows that she is still around us! Thanks so much for the web site connection! Looks like we'll be putting media player on my dad's computer!

I haven't been on here in a while, and when I checked out the John Edward.net home page today, there was this link to a song performed on the 2/20 show. I clicked, and listened, and thought it was beautiful; but they had no information about the song. I knew that if I checked here, Pam and the gang would have the scoop. Thanks for the link. I just ordered a copy of the CD that includes the song. Sure am sorry I missed the show.
I was just at Don's site, and noticed that they have added these "liner notes" for Paradox of Grace, the CD that includes this wonderful song.
Here's Don's notes about how this song came to him, and the lyrics:
The Other side
by Don Conoscenti
I met the Cadys at a performance in Alamogordo New Mexico. They were pregnant and moving to Kansas City in a few weeks. The following year I was in Alamogordo again. On my way north this poem came to me while driving near the "valley of fire". The music came to me late one night a month or so later in Ellis Paul´s apartment in Boston. I had two radio interviews the next morning and played the song at both of those as well as at my show that night at club passim. I Don´t remember which happened first, the message from the Cadys about little Jack´s birth…or the song. I do know that I´d been wanting to write a song about this topic for a couple of years and I´m pretty sure little Jack Cady was speaking though it to all of us. He was born, lived nine days and then left the world behind. The Cady´s response to it was pretty amazing. They reminded me of my dear friends, the Bonesteels, when their little daughter Maggie left so early.
There´s a video of this tune that was shot by Mike Ginsburg of "Mystic Hot Springs" in Monroe, Utah. We used the canyons, cliffs, eagles, petroglyphs, kivas, shadows, light and anything else in and around the Sevier Valley in southern Utah that spoke through the song during those three days of shooting. The night before I recorded this version I went and hung out in the desert in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. This is a place that GeRonimo used often. The next morning I soaked in the arsenic (thermal) baths then drove right to Don Richmond´s studIo in Alamosa Colorado and recorded the song. Ellis Paul came out to Alamosa for a visit and after he watched me add all the addItional instrumentation he sang the harmony.
Music…
Don Con plays acoustIc steel guitar, banjo, pan pipes, didgeridoo, bass, hand drum, kubing and tambourine. Ellis Paul sings harmony and channels Art Garfunkel.
Lyrics…
i´m over on the other side where life and death softly divide. i left my skin and bones behind now i´m over on the other side. can you feel me there with you? my breath is gone but i´m not through. loved you then and i still do from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth…all through the sky. tell em all i did not die. i´m just over on the other side.
it´s good here on the other side. the sweetest songs…the bluest skies. thank you for the tears you cried, but itÕs good here on the other side. i can fly…
the world is smaller than a needle´s eye. where life and death softly divide. when you leave your skin and bones behind i´ll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth…all through the sky. go tell em all i did not die. i´m just over on the other side.

Another great song I just heard is:
"I Believe" by Diamond Rio off their new album "Completely"
I saw the video for the first time today and it brought tears to my eyes. It's beautiful.
I wouldnt even begin to know how  to link to the sight here to see it, so if there is anyone who can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
edit: i found the words to the song. i hope i'm allowed to do this.
I Believe (Skip Ewing/Donny Kees)
Every now and then soft as breath upon my skin
I feel you come back again
And it’s like you haven’t been gone a moment from my side
Like the tears were never cried
Like the hands of time are holding you and me
And with all my heart I’m sure we’re closer than we ever were
I don’t have to hear or see, I’ve got all the proof I need
There are more than angels watching over me
I believe, I believe
Chorus
That when you die your life goes on
It doesn’t end here when you’re gone
Every soul is filled with light
It never ends and if I’m right
Our love can even reach across eternity
I believe, I believe
Forever, you’re a part of me
Forever, in the heart of me
And I’ll hold you even longer if I can
The people who don’t see the most
Say that I believe in ghosts
And if that makes me crazy, then I am
‘Cause I believe
There are more than angels watching over me
I believe, I believe
Paula, the lyrics to that song are wonderful, absolutely perfect. I haven't heard it yet, but I'm going to check it out right away.
Thanks for sharing that with us!

Paula,
The song, I Believe by Diamond Rio, is INCREDIBLE!! Thanks for bringing it up here.
Doesn't it seem like people are talking more and more openly about ADC's?

it does seem like more and more people are talking about ADC's and it has main streamed now.
i'm watching the superbowl and a commercial came on with a guy alone on a subway and he starts hearing voices then sees all these people. they start to tell him how they passed. it was an antidrug commerical.
but the concept was great.

The first time I heard this song, I did the same thing. I think for the first time it was not sad cry but a healing one. My father was a musican and one of our special times was when he would sing me to sleep playing his acoustic guitar. I felt like I had a performance as a night time routine. When I heard this song, it felt like exactly what he would sing to me if he could.
