I was reading the posts about the songs and I thought of posting a poem I wrote but didn't know if that was appropriate. So I created a web site with it. Now I see there is a category for poems! Anyway it's here
http://ksdust.tripod.com/poems/
if anyone wants to read it.
Sorry, there will be a pop-up ad, just close it, it comes with the free home page at Tripod.
Tonight I was thinking of my grandmother. She died 28 years ago at age 73 after being sick with cancer. She was as active as she could be until her final hospital stay of about 2 weeks. She was not bed-ridden up until then and no one had to care for her at home. So in a sense she never really was "old". Because she was the one who cared for others I think this was a blessing for her. So as much as we have missed her all these years I would not have wanted her to be old and helpless. Some of us will go through that, of course. I guess whatever fate and time is right for each of us is how it will be.
