I recently went to a John Edward Seminar in Chicago at the Marriot. I went with my sister (displayed in the picture) and my Mom and Dad. My sister passed away in Oct at the age of 19 and my family went to the seminar crossing our fingers, hoping she might come through to us. Well, my sister didn't end up coming through but my family was lucky enough to have a reading with John where my great Uncle, grandmother, great grandmother, a few cousin's and a close friend to my father did have a chance to relay some messages to us.

My sister and I sat in the front row, dead center and my Mom and dad sat a few rows behind. My father was a skeptic before his experience. The energy I felt when John walked into the room was something I cant explain and have never had before. I actually was so happy when he came out that while applauding I shed a few tears. He is such a positive, funny down to earth person.

Well, after the first hour of the seminar he started doing readings from the audience. After a few readings, he asked our section if anyone we knew died while parachuting. He asked a few times and no one was responding. That's when he actually pointed his finger at my father and told him that there was someone claiming to have died this way and it was connected to him. My father was experiencing what John calls "psychic amnesia" and said he didn't know of anyone that died in this fashion. He went on to give more details and then he gave the name MARY. That's when my father yelled out "OH My God. Mary?!" Poof he recalled his close family friend whose name was Mary who died while parachuting 15 years ago. John then asked if Mary had only one leg. My father was shocked when John asked him this because that was true. She had just lost a leg the year before she died. John then brought through my dads uncle who he was very close to and embarrassed my father with an inside joke that was between him and his uncle. He asked my father if he ever sponsored a race car? Or did someone drive one, ect. John again was correct. My father and his uncles company would sponsor race cars years ago. Then John brought through a woman who had an "O" name who died of lung cancer. This was my Great Grandma OMA. That's when John looked at my sister and I who weren't sitting with my parents and asked us if we were connected. We admitted that they were our parents and that's when he told my sister he had a message for her from a young male named Justin. My sister had just lost a school friend two weeks before the seminar and believe it or not his name was Justin. He than asked us about a music box and asked if we collected them, he then said the word caracole. At the time we didn't know what he meant by all this until later on that night when my sister got home and noticed on her dresser that she had a caracole shaped music box that my grandma had left her.

After the seminar they asked anyone who had had a reading to stay after. They had a buffet set up and we had a lot of paper work to go over. That is where the producers meet with you and record an interview of your reactions to the reading. Well, before they taped our after thoughts John Edward's came in the room and met us all personally. It was so cool. That's when I grabbed my JE book and asked him for his autograph. I will have to scan it and I will try to send it for you all to look at. I don't have access to a scanner so it may be a week or so until I have the chance to download it.

Well, I must declare that having this experience and meeting with John Edward's is the best time Ive ever had. His energy is so strong even my father, the skeptic couldn't deny that. If you ever have the chance to see him, even if you don't have a reading, do it. Its so worth it.

Jennifer, congratulations on that wonderful reading with John Edward. It's so great that your dad was willing to share the experience with you all, and that it turned out so well.

Looking forward to seeing your reading on Crossing Over in the fall.

Welcome GBgirl! (I'm assuming that stands for Green Bay?). :)

I was there and remember thinking that the "O" name was a pretty unique validation in itself. I think that in the grand scheme of things, that's pretty rare.

You had so many other validations as well... it must have been quite a wonderful experience for you and your family.

You'll have to be sure and let us know when they contact you to let you know it's going to be televised.

Jennifer what a great experience. Neat that you got a chance to meet John as well. How long did it take for your Dad to 'come back down to earth'? I can imagine it would be a while. There is a lot to think about after getting a reading.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed all of it.

Jennifer--Hello and welcome. I remember your reading well. It was a wonderful reading. There was a "me too" a few rows back right? Also, you were just a couple of seats down from us (Don, Moon, you were almost right next to her ;).

Thank you Jennifer for sharing your reading here.....so happy for you and your family.

Take Care,
Cyndy

Hi Jennifer, thanks so much for sharing your experience here. Another skeptic convinced how cool. I also was in Chicago that day, and heard that reading. It was one of the more memorable ones, especially because of the "Oma" name, and the fact that your Dad's friend lost her leg, before crossing in the parachuting accident.

I remember how many people tried to claim the "crossing by parachute" detail, but John wouldn't accept it, knowing it wasn't for them. I'm glad he's such a pit bull about what he does!

Congrats on your reading - I'm happy for you, and specially for your dad :jumper:

Jennifer, that was an awesome reading!
You must have really gotten there early to get front row seats. I already put your name on the list of people read by John.

I remember that reading! We were in your same section about 6 or 7 rows back, right next to the people who had 2 priests in Argentina and who didn't waterseal thier deck. That was a great reading. You are your family were given a great gift!

PS. Welcome to the board!
