I had been faithfully checking John's webpage each and every morning so that I'd be sure and get a ticket the next time he came to San Francisco. I had found out about the last seminar that he'd done here too late and the tickets were all sold out, and I didn't want that to happen again!
Three of my friends and I attended in March of 2002. The stage was totally bare except for a small wooden table with a bottle of water on it.
John came out to thunderous applause. I was really amazed by his energy in particular and all of the energy in the room - I found myself getting physical sensations from it such as goosebumps and chills.
I was really amazed, and actually jumped slightly in surprise in my seat when I saw a small lavender colored orb of light flash in for an instant floating several feet above John's head and to the left of him! I could plainly see a slight aura of light like energy outlining John, also, as he quickly paced back and forth across the small, circular stage at floor height. The beautiful and strong energy the man emnates is tremendous!
I was really impressed, too, by his ever present sense of humor - it's always one of the things I've liked about him when watching Crossing Over on TV.
There were about 1500 people in the audience, so John led us through a short meditation and then did readings. Presently, he walked over to our section and said that he was getting several people coming through that had crossed over by a murder/suicide. It turned out that it was for the guy that was sitting directly behind me. Then, John said there was a Canada connection, and this didn't make sense for this gentleman. John also commented that he was getting someone else coming through that had passed from committing suicide by eating poison - rat poison. I realized that it was one of MY relatives - a cousin that had done exactly that - 74 yrs. ago!!, that I only knew about through family stories! I slowly raised my hand and they handed me the microphone and I replied that it was for me. I heard the whole room gasp around me. John explained that I was getting what is known as a "cameo reading" - someone else's relatives quickly had brought through one of mine! He then asked me who Cindy is - and it didn't make sense for a moment - until I remembered I have a step-sister named Cindy.
And that was it - but it was more than enough!! Out of all of those people in the audience - I was lucky enough to get a really quick contact and reading from John - from a relative I never knew that had died before I was even born!
He also mentioned some other names - but they were common ones that apparently the family behind me also had relatives with those names, so we couldn't quite tell for sure which family they were for. The "Canada connection" was most probably for me - my mom is an American citizen that was born there!
If I'd had any doubts before ( which I really didn't!) about John's gift and uncanny ability to connect with the other side, they disappeared completely after that. My friends and I purposely kept our mouths shut and talked of other subjects than what we hoped would happen or who would come through, just to be on the safe side.
I will continue to go to the seminars again and again when they come to my area, or if I get an opportunity to go to New York. It was an amazing experience, and I realize what happened that night may never again repeat itself in any form, but I like the feeling of the energy in the room and of watching him do what he does so well.
