I've been anxiously waiting for the Philly seminar but that Saturday is my granddaughter's first birthday. She takes priority so I'll wait for the next one.

I just checked out the seminar page to see the Philly info, and Jamestown is SOLD OUT. I hope all of you who wanted tickets, got them. I wouldn't waste any time on the Philly tickets either. I bet John could sell-out Madison Square Garden in a day. Okay, that's the biggest place I can think of, but I know there are bigger. :)

Woooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooooo!!

I have waited all year for this! Only 1 hour from my house!

There is nothing like seeing John live.
I've been to (3) other seminars, and sure hope I can manage to get tickets this time as well.

I will be quite honest, I have not even seen all of the old shows of Crossing Over, much less the new ones. Where I am at, I'm at the mercy of SciFi, and 11pm is too late for me to stay up. In addition, I am too lazy to make sure my VCR is set and ready every day to tape the shows. So, my point is.......

I enjoy watching him on TV, but to see him in person takes the cake.
This was a lift my soul needed!
Now, to be able to get the tickets..........

I guess it's not meant for me to be at this one. This is the same day as my niece's first birthday party, and she takes precedent (besides, missing a grand event like a first bday party would be in direct conflict with the whole CAV concept :) )

Maybe John will add a seminar either Friday night or Sunday. Philly is only about 2 or 2 1/2 hours away.

You guys! This will be so much fun! I am going from '0' John Edward seminars to '2' within a six-day period! Ok, so if the seminar starts at 10 am, what time should we be there for 'general admission' seating? If you tried to get a hotel room, you will have found that there is a HUGE nephrology conference in town - the kidneys have taken all the rooms close to the Mariott!! Oh, well...it would have been nice to stay in the same hotel as the seminar but what the heck! We'll just have to rough it! Will JohnEdwardFriends be flying pink balloons so we will know each other??:crowd:

From past experience the line starts forming a good hour before the doors open up for general admissions. When we went to Clombus Ohio we are ther about 1 1/2 hrs ahead of time and were about 50 others all ready there. I'm going to be there by 8a.m.

Hi All,

I just got my seminar tickets:D and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the venue. The Marriot is nice but how many people do you think can be fit in there? I'm hoping it's more intimate than those big thousand seat places. Also, I suppose it's general admission, right? I don't have seat numbers and there wasn't a seating chart available anyway. Maybe it will be a nice intimate little setting with just us "friends" and John!

Thinking wishfully,

The Philadelphia and Ohio seminars will be in excess of 3,000 per venue. :(

I asked Telecharge when I called for my tickets. I believe that's comparable to the amount of people that were at the Indianapolis seminar last year (seminar attendees help me out).
I was also in New Haven last year, and there were 900-1000 people there. It was much nicer, in that it was easier to see John, and watch the people being read.

Don't get me wrong......Indy was still wonderful....in fact, of the three seminars I went to, Indy had an indescribable "energy" about it that no other seminar has had (for me).

3,000 is still ALOT of people, but it's still seeing John do his stuff...
(and I don't even have any relatives I'm looking to contact), so I'm bringing my sister in law along this time......maybe HER relatives will manage to drag John over to our section, LOL.

Over 3000?? We will need binoculars to see John. I hope that isn't true.

I went to the Marriott Downtown Website and they give a panoramic view of different rooms. I hope it is'nt in the Grand Ballroom. It is huge!!! Looks like it seats more than 3000.

hey everyone-
thank you fro all the thanks, but actaully the thnaks go to my boyfriend...he is the one who initially figured it all out....i fiugurd out the rest...see, I called the Marriot and they would not give me any info...so, my boyfriend Donny called back and also asked for info on how to get tickets, which of course he got the same response "we do not know anything"...so, he proceeded to say "you are having an event there, and you know nothing about it"....and the lady was then nice enough to give him the telecharge phone number....i immeditalty called of course(all this being on friday oct 4) and the guy that anwsered said tickets do not going on sale until oct 5, and to call back around 10.....so, hum, i am thinking to myself.....telecharge, I bet they have a web site....WAALAA, they do...and I'll bet(i'm saying to myself), that if i log onto telecharge.com at 12:01AM, i'll bet they will start selling tickets, and WAALAA!!!!!! by 12:10AM I HAVE TICKETS!!!!

so all, it was really my boyfriend that helped us all out.....I just helped with the finishing touches.

:jumper:Well everybody, I'm finally going to see John. This is so weird. Sunday was my birthday (a BIG one by the way), so I've been celebrating with different friends, staff & family since Thursday. Saturday was my biggest celebration so I never got to check John's seminars plus I forgot it was the first Sat. of the month (which is so unlike me--I miss parts of parties so I can call.) Anyway, I had just finished drying my hair on Saturday & thought before I got ready, I'd watch Crossing Over from Friday. I saw about getting Gallery tickets & grabbed the phone (3:30) & starting calling--busy, busy, busy. So I said to my sister-in-law's deceased mother (who my sister-in-law so badly needs to hear from), "Dolly, you're gonna have to help me here--if we're meant to get tickets, please help because I don't have a lot of time to keep calling." No dice, so it seemed. I went to my party--had a great time & Sunday checked John's website--Philly seminar, tickets on sale YESTERDAY! What were my chances?! I never called until 7 P.M. Sunday & I GOT TICKETS! As I was giving my info, I realized that Dolly had helped. So thanks, Dolly, my dream has come true!!!

What time is everyone going to get there? It is General Admission seating, right?
Do you think this one will be filmed for Crossing Over? The website said that the Jamestown one would be filmed, but it didnt say that for Philly, so does that mean it definitely wont be?

In reference to large venues...
Good question. I've seen John twice, once in Dallas, and once in Austin, and they were both in 'auditorium' settings.
A few thousand people. But remember, it doesn't matter where you're sitting to get a reading. It was amazing how many people from the balconies, or last rows were read.
(high fives to them) Maybe the Marriott will be more intimate. Wouldn't THAT be nice? I'm looking forward to a vacation, and the seminar.
I've never been to Philly before. Can't wait. Maybe three's the charm.
Also... I called in to receive gallery tickets last month, and after months and months of trying, finally got through. (funny story how THAT happened) I gave my info, but now I wonder, IF I'm randomly selected, how soon do they contact you?
Is it just for the month that I got through? And, if that's the case, does that mean that I have to call every month???? Can someone help me?
Don't want to bog down the system if I don't have to.

I have a question...
My husband and I are attending the Nov. 2nd seminar in Philly. BUT, we''ll be driving from Atlantic City. (Johnny Mathis the night before) Can someone tell me how long it realistically takes to drive from AC to Philly? The map sites usually don't take into account predictable traffic jams, etc. People who live in the area know better. Also, we're having a heck of a time finding a decent hotel in Philly.
Hubby thinks that by the time we find a place on the other side of town (that's an IF) then it would be just as easy to stay in AC. True or False?
We're then driving to NYC. Any ideas how long that takes? We usually don't drive from one place to another, so I'm at a loss, here. THAT'S why I like planes!
Also, for those of us who are going on the 2nd. Do you realize that it's the first Saturday of the month?? Take your cell phones!

I think quite a few of us are going.
Some on Friday and some on Saturday.
Hubby and I are both really looking forward to it.

In fact, as we speak, I'm getting my 'list' together.
It's the same list I've used the last two times, but sadly, with a few added.
I'm so worried about forgetting my own name, I've developed a two part list.
Alphabetical names (first names), then another lists with cause of death.

Everybody who died of THAT, stand over THERE.

If he comes to you, you'd better let us know it's YOU!

Take your pick.
And if it happens to me, I believe that I'll choose faint!

How does one react to a life altering experience like THAT?

We're looking forward to it, too.
Did someone say there's going to be 3000 people in attendance?
I don't think I've been to one that big before. WOW!
I don't mind (like I have a choice) as long as I don't have to stand. As we all know, it really doesn't matter where we're sitting. He'll find us!

Thanks TX!
I won't be back until next week, so I won't know who got read (maybe me????) until then.
Can't wait to see.

Don't they start the Crossing Over contest this coming Monday?
Until I return, I've got friends checking the name, then two-waying me.
I'm wishing each and every one of us good luck with THAT, too.

AND, don't forget this coming Saturday is the first Saturday of the month! Pick up your phones...get ready...set... DIAL!!!!

:P
