Thank you dear friend! I know a certain twin of mine is going to be jumping for joy :D
OH I fixed the link. There was an extra . in there so it wouldn't work. (bulletin php links are more picky than your english teacher in high school!)

hee hee hee, I didn't mean YOU Yardie :D
I can't even take credit for that saying. I heard it way back in high school when I was learning DOS and basic programming. The teacher said the above (insert DOS where I said Vbulletin php).
I LOVE ENGLISH TEACHERS EVERYWHERE!! :lwink:
Without them, the newspaper would be much harder to read. (mispellings, grammar, etc.).
Hello Friends! I have been away for awhile and am so excited about the Akron seminar! I live in Indiana and I think Akron is only a couple of hours away. I tried to go into telecharge and order tickets but they said the weren't available yet. I though that was odd considering its only a few weeks away so I am going to call the number and see what happens. :jumper:

Any idea when tickets are on sale? I'm in Florida and have no resources! IE credit cards! Saw the Phile seminar posted but figured I would have to miss out since the tickets will probably all be sold out.
Oh well, we'll see ........ Akron is alot closer for me! :)

(((((((((Thanks Tammy))))))))) for fixing my boo-boo. I guess I needed another cup of coffee:lwink: .
One of the things I noticed when I went to the telecharge is that you can only order up to 10 tickets per address. I hope that will cut down on the scalpers on ebay.
I didn't see if they were on sale yet though. I hope lots of JE friends get to go:)

Hi folks. I'm going to the Akron seminar.
I haven't been to the site in months and months, (Hi Pam, Cyndy, Yardie, Amfie, Psy, Don and Bea!). Then I suddenly decide to check out the sweepstakes info and wound up at John's site again, (Dang! He and Sandra had a kid? It HAS been a long time!), and saw the Akron seminar, but didn't really think much about it.
Then out of the blue I get a card from Cyndy, (thanks Cyndy!) and an e-mail, and SHE asked if I was going to the seminar, and I was about to answer "no", but I decided to check the info again.
October 25th? Normally a Friday night would be a no-go, but guess who decided they needed some vacation time and took that week off BEFORE she knew about the seminar date?
OK, so we got the out-of-the-blue messages from J.E. friends, an unplanned last minute decision to take some vacation time, but surely the seminar will be sold out, since the tickets have been on sale for two days now? Nope, tickets still available.
OK! OK! I get it! Go to the seminar. So you think someone was trying to tell me something? :D

Yeeeaaa! Glad to hear that you will be going to Akron now and hoping that you get to meet up with some "friends".....I love how everything just falls right into place......have fun! Welcome back!

Hi,I am new to this. My mother & her twin sister & friend and myself are goingto Akron. We live in Ontario Canada. This is our first time. We watch everyday my mom & aunt twice a day.My uncle also watched till he crossed over in may.3 months to the day we buried him, my mom was sitting outside on our deck thinking of him asking are you ok? And she looked up to the sky and there was a cloud angel she screamed for me and I cme and seen it and ran for my camera, mom called the neighbor and she was amazed too, then there was a breeze and it was gone. I got 2 good pictures.A 1/2 hour before he passed she was saying her goodbyes and asked him tosend her a sign, we figure this was it. So I said to my mom & aunt. We have to go to see John and see what he thinks, if he can tell us anything or pick up on it. We are going to try & mail a picture to him, wither he'll get it we don't know. But I think it will be neat if he picks up on this while we are in Akron. We hope so. We would love to meet others who are going. We are so excited we joke Gramma is watching her boyfriend again supper will be burn't haha my dad just laughs.I hope to hear from others who want to meet. How do we orginize that? Micki:D
auntimicki, just keep watching the board. Others who are going to Akron will also keep posting.
For your own safety, we ask that you not post certain personal information regarding a meeting place, however.
Be sure to check out the FAQs about seminars, as that subject is addressed there. The link to that thread is in two posts here, just above.

I think we will plan to arrive in Akron around 4pm (to give time for bad directions ect...)
I read on here that people will sometimes take pink helium balloons or wear pink roses/carnations! I'm open for suggestions, I think I'd feel a little silly walking around with a pink balloon :goofy: Maybe we could do something a little more subtle. It would be fun to meet after the show!

I'll be going to Akron with my Mom. Since I live in Cleveland, it's only about a 45 min. drive ..... if we can find it! LOL
I'm not sure what time we'll get there. But I'll be sure to look for everyone ..... just note that you usually can't take balloons into the venue. But flowers work well..... maybe I'll pick up a flower to wear! I'll figure it out closer to then and let you all know!
I look forward to meeting our new "friends"!

Hi, does anybody else have to pick their tickets up in Akron? Since we are in Canada I guess they wouldn't mail to us. Guess what. I just talked to the venue and they said we can not pick up our tickets till the doors open. I don't think thats fair. We were hoping to pick them up early in the morning so we don't have to worry about that.If everyone is in the same line it will take forever to get in.Has anyone ever been to a session how does general admission work? thanks:confused:

Hi, does anyone else have to pick up their tickets at the center, they will not send to Canada so we have to pick up at the box office. I thought we would pick them up early and enjoy the day. NO we have to stand in line with people who alredy have tickets at the box office. They said the box office opens at 4:30. I said you mearn ticket pick ups & ticketed people all stand in the same line. Yes. It doesn't seem fair if we are delayed getting our seats because of this. any ideas? Maybe someone can watch for us after we get our tickets. How does general admission work? We were planning to be in Akron by 10am to pick up tickets. I guess thats a waste of time.   Maybe this is a test from someone above, I don't know I do know this will stress my mom & aunt out, and me because theyll be flipping on me if they get the last seats in the house.

Auntmicki,
Sorry about not being able to pick up your tickets early .... my best suggestion is to try anyway! You never know.
People do tend to get in line really early for these seminars in order to get seats up close. However, I've been to three seminars, and it DOES NOT MATTER where you sit to get a reading. Just because you're in the front row, means nothing. I have seen people in balconies, along the back wall and outside get a reading. So don't worry where you sit.
Since it is a Friday, I wonder if those getting in line may not line up so early. I know my Mom and I are driving from Cleveland (about 45 min.) and I'm not quite sure what time we are getting there. Who knows.....we may eat before hand, but not sure. You can do a search on yahoo or mapquest to find exactly where the center is, it looks pretty close to the college, but I have never been to Akron, except to drive through it looking for a Waffle House! LOL
Anyway, I wish you luck! I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience no matter what!

I did a map search on Yahoo! and on Mapquest. You can get to Akron from I-90 (which you can pick right outside Toledo from I-95? in MI) to I-77south which takes you into Akron. Also I think I-80 the turnpike will take you close to the Akron exit. My best suggestion is to type you destination and starting point in the Yahoo maps and it will print you out a detailed description with options. They work really well and give pretty clear instructions with a map! The center is about 2 blocks north of Akron U.
Hope to see you there!

I was at the Akron seminar yesterday and was one of the forunate few who got read. My husband connected with John and I was totally overwhelmed. For those of you there, I was the second reading. My husband mentioned my miscarriage and that our son was with him. At the end of the reading he brought up the fact that I wasn't working and on disability. What a gift John has and what gifts he gives to so many others, like me!
Anyone who was there... did you take any notes you could pass on to me? I had 3 people near me who took notes but I don't want to forget ANYTHING about that experience! And what a joy it was to come home to my 8 year old daughter and tell her that Daddy talked to me last night!
I'm new to this community, but I'll be back!
Thanks, Julie
Glad to see you made it here Julie!

Hi again! I had the reading done in Akron... Just wanted to post an update on my reading. There were 2 things I couldn't validate in my reading. One was the name "Ernest" that John insisted was being given to him. My husbands mom just told me that he had a great uncle named Ernest. The other thing was a family member who owned a small store of some kind. His mom told me that he had an aunt and uncle who owned a small grocery store.
Even though those things meant nothing to me at the time, John was right on the mark!

Julie, we were sitting not far from you. 5th row front & center and my mom was directly in front of you. I'm not sure how many rows we were in front of you. Your reading was awesome & amazing. When we got back to Guelph (Canada)we had to go to a birthday party & everyone was saying well how was it, did you get a reading, and I said awesome and no we didn't get a reading but the people who did were so happy, and I told them of your story. (small world eh) . I am sorry I did not take notes I was in such awe.Hes even cuter & funnier in person)But I was so impressed when you asked if he had a message for your daughter and he said no. just for you. If any one was sceptical that proved hes the trure thing. He could have lied and yes, yes tell her....whatever he didn't and that shows his honesty & sincerity and that he is for real. That was why I tell everyone about you. Later when I have time I will try to remember all and let you know what all I remember & I'll ask my mom tonight. I was so happy for you. And I know my uncle would have pushed your husband forward for you to hear him and sit back & smilebecause he new you needed to hear from him more than us, because he sent usa cloud angel in the sky 3 months to the day we buried him, so we knew we knew he's ok. Maybe next time. I said there were other people who needed it more than us. We also made some new friends, what more can we ask for. It was Amazing I will definately go again.. I will let you know what I remember later, Micki(we had on black t shirts with red maple leaf on it and waving the canadian flag (we had a gift for the baby) but we didnt get it to him, I said to mom, well theres a reason, maybe when he gets the letter & picture (we sent it to him for valadation) maybe he will come or have you to the show. who knows always a reason for everything, Micki

Thanks Micki :) I remember your Canadian flags waving in front of me! It was a wonderful experience that has brought me such happiness and relief and I'm sure it will for the rest of my life. And now I know that when it's my time to cross over not only my husband will be there to great me, but our son that I was never to hold in this life. By the way, we had named our baby if he was going to be a boy... Tyler James, TJ.
Thanks again and I'm glad to hear that even though you didn't get your reading you wanted that you came away with such good feelings!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to John Edward's seminar in Akron, Ohio. The only word to describe what he does is amazing! I went with four family members all hoping to get a reading. The crowd was 3,600 people strong!!! John was overwhelmed when he walked out onto the stage. He spoke for approximately 15 minutes and went straight to the audience for questions. The second question asked turned into a reading and he read for the next 2 1/2 hrs. The room was filled with an abundance of emotions and everyone was on the edge of their seat for the entire time. Even when the "read-ees" had no idea that he was talking to them, the room still wanted that person to receive what John was giving to them. I was a little skeptical as far as the "plants in the audience" that all the critics complain about. After I witnessed a reading for a family that lost 11 people in one year, I knew that there was no way that these people could be part of any type of scam!! We are so fortunate to have John Edward share his gift with us. I tried very hard to summons my departed family to be included, but soon realized that even though I had suffered a loss, it wasn't as tragic as the others. I plan on reading more and trying to keep in contact with my departed loved ones by validation on my own. Don't get me wrong...if there ever was the slightest chance of being read, I am there!! ;) Thanks for letting me tell my story.
Hello, Lauran!
