O.K.
Scheduled here for 1pm, I find that the station M.P. is on, is
the ONE station I can't get. I would love a brief rundown. I'm
really dissapointed. I don't believe it's Gods way of telling me
I'm watching too much JE (as was suggested by a non-JE friend).
If anything, I would take it has God telling me to get a new T.V.
A thought I didn't hesitate to tell my smug friend.

Glad to help ya. The whole show was basically introducing JE to the local networks. He mostly showed old clips from JE'S show, and did some of his own audiance.

Julie,

I did see the Maury Povich show today. Apparently, quite a lot of it was clips from a show that previously aired on June 20, but today there was "post analysis" added to those readings that were given to audience members.

In the beginning, Maury did interview John about how he got started, etc. -- the usual interview questions. Also, there were some "choice" clips from CO, which included the post analysis from those segments.

Since I had never seen the original Maury show that aired in June, I found it quite fascinating. In particular, there was a segment where a lady (and her grown daughter) connected with her mother, who had passed. The mother/grandmother validated that she had asked them to pull over for her to use a bathroom on the way to the hospital, but they had refused! She also brought up the fact that their car had broken down en route to the hospital.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable show. Perhaps someone you know may have taped it and will loan a copy to you! It would be worth checking into.

It was very good! Maury was at ease with him and very "into it".They showed clips of a lot of his shows and did some audience readings. He was right on for all of them.Gee, do you think it was a showcase for his new show airing on that network Monday? What ever the reason, he was allowed to be 100% John. Had them all with their eyes wide! If I had never seen or heard of John, this show would really have gotten my attention. They were really showing him off.Murphy

The CO segments and follow-ups that were included were the

* Niagra Falls/feather segment

* College aged son whose dad had recently gone down to the laundry room to smell his jacket -- remember the 1986 Mets Pennant?

There were also brief clips:

* Teenaged boy with spina bifida (hope I spelled it correctly) segment that just aired again the other night -- remember the grandmother (passed) saying, "Tell my baby girl I've got her baby" WOW!!

* Young woman who "danced" with her dad at her wedding by pinning his picture to her slip

* The lady that broke the finger off her porcelain doll

There were many more, but you get the idea. I think it was a good overview of John and "Crossing Over." If you didn't know about JE or his show, Maury's show today would definitely arouse your interest.

For what it's worth, I played around with a feature that captures closed captioning to a text file, using my TV Tuner card and software. It's not always typed accurately, and it might be incomplete, but here it is:

Pam:

Another creative "way to go" to you on capturing the Maury text. I was at work half paying attention to a Sony Watchman so missed a lot.

And as to the accuracy of the capture, not bad at all! I did get a kick out of: "psychic heedium john edward" :D
