Has JE ever held a seminar at the Worcester Centrum? I have tickets for the May seminar and its a big place. The only info I could get was it was an 'open floor plan'. Does anyone know what that means and how many people that holds? Cathy ;)

Hello,
I'll be going to the Worcester seminar as well. The Centrum is rather large. I've attended concerts there. There is a large floor area in front of the stage. There is also bench type seating on 3 sides of the stage. The facility looks like it would hold perhaps 3,000-5,000 people.

A few years ago.
It is large. It has the floor plan of a typical civic center of which you atend a musical concert :)

I saw garth brooks there
Angelina... you're a GB fan!!! I have a great story for you.
At the end of September 96, my husband & I went to the US with a large tour group to visit Boston & New York.
Being huge fans of GB, we left a couple of days early because we wanted to visit Nashville, not really believing that we would see Garth, but oh well, you never know...
I had booked two seats at the Grand Ol Opry a couple of months beforehand without knowing who would be performing.
When we finally got to Nashville - 6 hours late - we passed the Opry billboard. We were stunned! Guess who was the main artist for that weekend!
At the time I was totally unaware of sychronicity... To this day, it still gives me goosebumps when I think about it.
Peace & Love

GB is a kewl live performer. I was fortunate to go because I headed a contest for a Country station I was working for at the time. I became a fan after I saw the energy and love that he puts into a show. Hmmmm Kinda reminds me of someone else that does the same too :)

Only five weeks from Friday! :) I was trying to wait longer before bringing this up again, but I'm too excited!
A question for thos of you who've been to seminars...
How long before the doors open would you suggest getting there? I don't know how long my legs will hold out, but I'd like to get a fairly good seat, since it's such a big venue. What's your advice?

Bring one of those little folding stools/chairs for camping or just sit on the floor. That is what most people did at our seminar. We got to ours around 8:00 with doors opening at 10:00 and there were a lot of people a head of us. It really doesn't matter where you sit but it is nice to have a good view of the stage. I so enjoyed my first seminar and I can't wait to go again.

Thanks for the tip, Paula. I might need two of those little stools. LOL :lwink: This seminar is at 7:30pm, with the doors opening at 6:30. I was thinking we might get there around 5. I know that if we're meant to be read, we will be. At your seminar, did he read people way in the back? Did people's proximity to John seem to make a difference. This is such a large group of people.
megray, I've attended 5 seminars, and I've never seen proximity to JE make a difference. People all over the room were read -- fairly close, way at the back, even in back rows of the balcony. As always, if it's meant to be, "they" will find you, so watch out and be prepared!

I couldn't agree more with it doesn't matter where you sit for a reading, just for the vantage point. I personally sat in an isle seat and it was great.

Only 5 1/2 weeks to go! I can't wait either. :jumper:
This is my first JE seminar and like megray I'm just looking forward to being there and watching John do his thing!
Getting a reading would be a bonus but its not important.
The other 7 people I'm going with may not understand that !

5 more days till the Worcester seminar. :jumper: :jumper:
I am so excited! My first seminar!
I will not be able to concentrate at work this week.
Will be trying to meet up with' Socks' from here!
Won't be able to arrive until 6:30 when the doors open
so we may miss each other.
To all those attending the seminar tonight -- have a wonderful time, savor every minute, and be safe in your travels!
Naturally, we expect a full report, whenever you're up to it! :D

I'm on the mend from a 3 week bout of pneumonia so I wont be attending tonight's seminar after all. I gave my ticket to a friend & I hope she has a blast. To the rest of you who are going, have fun & travel safe. Pam
Pam, so sorry to hear that you've been ill, but glad you're on the mend.
Hope you're fully recuperated soon, and that another opportunity for you to see JE will present itself before long. :)

Hi Pam (Delusional)
I am so sorry to hear that you have been sick. Three weeks is a long time to fight pneumonia. I hope you are beginning to get some relief.
Take good care of yourself,
In the meantime, the rest of you that are already at the seminar - I wish you tons of love, light and perhaps a reading for our group ;)
