Ok I stopped spinning finally so I think I can get this down in print. This might be a long one.
We left NY at 6am Friday morning and did get stuck in IL, then had to take a bus home, but met a really cool guy on the bus, so it was meant to be. I got home and had a guest coming that night, house was a mess, needed to grocery shop and there was a sleeting mess outside. Sat morning I had a medium to my house, actually someone who was brought up in my mothers reading. She did a house party and I had to make the food for about 10 people that were coming. So between all of that and the fact that my hubby is at the final four, I have been trying to get this typed up :) so here it goes.
Kristen and I found each other right away outside by the line to go in. Kristen is a beautiful, wonderful person and it was great to meet her. We waited to the end of the line since we had not seen Adrienne yet. I was leaving vm on Adrienne's cell phone on where to meet us. We were taken into the line to go inside, they asked for my name and I told him, he said our "friends" were inside and that we could find them and sit by them and that we did not have to stay in the back of the line.
As we were walking in the door my mother and Kristen noticed a business card on the ground with a rose on it. One of them picked it up, it was a bc from this website and it had Adrienne's email address on the back of it. Our friend made it inside and was saving a spot for us. We were all thinking of each other. We made it inside and there was Adrienne and her doll of a hubby Jim!!!!
We were taken to our seats and we all were seated next to each other. Adrienne and Kristen both gave me a JE appreciation pin with the same saying on it. VERY COOL I wore both of them during the taping. After a couple of bathroom trips and some of Adrienne¡¦s candy, that she unwrapped the night before so that we would not make noise in the gallery, John came out!!!! Oh ya BTW it is FREZZING in there, not cold FREEZING!!!! It warmed up once the lights were on, but until then, very cold, ask Adrienne my hands were ice!
We practiced clapping and screaming loud enough, like that were a problem Then he came out, and the crowd roared!!!! Very cool and he was very gracious. He did some opening takes and had some bloopers, very funny. He assured the gallery that he was a much better medium then he was at this "TV" stuff.
They tried something new that day, they had a guest to talk about her work, and I think Adrienne mentioned this. But it was Joy Mills and John goes to her for readings. He interviewed her and let the audience ask some questions.
The main topic was soul mates, cool segment and they said they were going to tie it in with other shows that were tapped and shown before, ones that inspired this segment. You guys might remember the one show with the lady who had 3 husbands that pst and came through in the reading.
Then John started getting bugged, you know by the other souls who showed up to the gallery. He says to someone sitting in the section in front of us that her husband was there and that he was not going anywhere, just wanted to let you know that he was there. Shortly after that he was getting bugged again. What I thought was really great was that the staff really reacted to him. They wrapped things up and let him get to his work. They really respected the process and did not let the "TV" stuff get in the way!!! Great to see.
John did a little explaining and then started doing his thing. He did a reading for the women whose husband was there earlier. I wish I could remember more about that reading, just something about the wedding going bad, or something along those lines. It was a good reading, I just do not remember it well, sort of a blur. Then he went to the next group. It was two men, Scott and a Paul, not related but coming through together. There were two groups of four people that had this connection and John was sorting it all out. He focused on the front group and then had a few messages for the ladies behind them. He came up with the name Melissa, she was there and her boyfriend was Scott.
Then Melissa's grandmother came through and had some messages for her daughter that was there. Very funny part. John standing there, the silver tea pot is dirty, clean it, this is broken fix it, this is old get a new one. JE said ~ your mother wants to know why you re did your kitchen when you do not cook, Laughter there was more and then I think there might have been another reading before that, something with a family that was there and a man who played the accordion, which floored the guy and his family that it came through.
Then John stepped back and said I am coming over here and he pointed to our section, we were sitting in the second to last row. He said I am coming to the last row, no the row before it, no the back row, no to the girl with the light hair and the scarf :)HELLO that was me...remain calm
JE ~This is sort of strange but there is someone here that does not want to be here. Namaste ~ that is not for us, my mother is sitting next to me, John says something about the women in red, my mom. My mother starts shaking her head yes. I am looking at her and then looking at John and I said no that is not us, she loves you, My mother starts talking and saying that she feels like other people there needed to be here and that she was wondering why she was. She started crying and I helped try to explain what she might be feeling.
JE ~ spoke to the fact that everyone who get the reading is suppose to, and that it is ok to feel that. He talked about it for a very long time. I think he was talking to a lot of us.
He asked about the dog that died on a birthday or significant day and our family dog died on my mother's bday. And then he asked about another dog, my mother said yes, his name was Buttons as well. JE, both the dogs were named that, we answered yes¡Klaughter
The order might be a bit off, and there were me too's with our group. I will let Kristen and Adrienne post what their were..
He asked about another dog that died, but that was inhabited (sp?), my mom and I said no that was not for us, someone behind us claimed it. Adrienne just emailed me and told me about a dog of hers, I will let her post about that.

M~ my mother died from bt
JE ~ she had a long illness
M ~ yes,( her tumor was discovered in Sept and she died in May the following year. My mother I and I also discussed the fact that my gmother was an alcoholic and that she was sick with this for a long time as well. This was a huge brake through for my mother to talk about her mothers illnesses. She thought that she had dealt with all of this and put it past her, but this really helped her deal with the last issues she needed to. Another point on how the person who is supposed to get the reading will.)

M~ Yes (my mom has the hutch, chairs, china, like the big stuff of my grandmothers)
JE ~ you feel like you were left out, missing stuff

JE~ said he was seeing yellow, flashing yellow for my mother. This means caution to him. And then he asked about her house and the stairs going to the basement. My mother said her the cat has been pulling up the carpet and that someone might trip.
T ~ when JE mentioned the steps, he said what about the steps, I said there dirty¡¨ I laughed, I do not think my mother did
JE ~ who is the J name, Jen, Jane
M ~ my sister in law Jane
JE ~ married after mother passed
M ~ yes
JE ~ said something about acknowledging her (we did, we called her and told her after the reading)
JE ~ something about Oscar, maybe a cat??(The people behind us had a long name that started like that of a cat, but after the reading I called my aunt and she told me that my mother's great uncles name was Oscar???)
JE ~ something regarding red white and blue and maybe a dog's death around that.
Women in audience ~ we had a cat named stripes,
JE ~ no that is not it and went back to my mother and talked about her mother again (this may be out of order here)
My mother remembered in the green room that her mothers bday was on memorial day and that all of her life until she was 13 she thought the flags were up for her bday, when she found out they weren¡¦t that was the biggest disappointment in her life . But Adrienne also remembered that she had a dog that past around a flag holiday. A definite me to.
JE ~ This would be a first, did someone loose a duck? I am seeing the aflic duck, could be insurance linked
T ~ my husband works for American Family insurance, as well as his entire family.
Adrienne's, father worked for one as well. I think he asked about a father figure around this as well.
(When I got back to the hotel room I looked through my notes from my family history and read the note that I made to myself that I said a prayer to a friend of mine about a poem he use to say and if brought up eagles or DUCKS that would claim it. I feel like I blew it,, but at least I knew he was there Besides this reading was for my mother, she really needed it.
If I can recall that was it for us. He went on to do one more reading and it was a nice one, all of which I do not recall. I was hugging my mother and talking to Adrienne quietly of course
This experience really validated for me that the person who needs it will get it. I wrote my mother a card thanking her for taking the time and money to make this trip with me to support me. She was there because of me; she did not feel she needed a reading. I was stressed about getting my other tickets to the right people, which I believe happened since there were so many me toos. But here all along my mother was the one who needed the reading, it has helped her deal with issues that she thought she had resolved in her heart.
There is not a greater gift for a person and as a daughter I was so grateful that she received the reading. She truly did not have any expectations. She wanted the people next to us to get a reading.
If I think of anything else I will add it and if Adrienne and Kristen see something I missed or put in the wrong place, please let me know. Sorry this took so long, really had to get my feet back on the ground so that I could think clearly.
