This is a heads up on Sci-fi schedule change on West Coast. I always re-do my tape programming each Monday and when I checked the Sci-fi schedule JE was NOT listed at the usual time which has been 11:00 pm. I finally found him listed at 1:00 am. Why the change??

The Fox TV schedule is still the same (12:00 - 1:00 pm).

This is what they now have on Scifi.com:

Watch Crossing Over with John Edward every Monday through Wednesday at 1AM ET/PT and Thursdays at 1AM and 1:30AM ET/PT.

I guess, CO is clearly on the way to being phased out on SciFi channel. They just don't understand what they are losing...

The Sci-Fi Channel is really good for doing that. They keep a show running for as long as they need to, and then make re-runs out of them. I've known of a couple programs they either started or took over frrom another station. I think they need 4 yrs. in order to be able to use them in re-runs. I wouldn't be surprised if they finish out this year, and then run the next year's season, and then stop and just re-run all the previous years.

Yeah, SciFi seems to be becoming famous for ditching shows just when reaching their popularity climax. Remember the bombardment of advertisements for that Dream Team show Sci Fi kept grilling into our brains for weeks? It was supposed to take the place of JE on weeknights. That show was on for maybe 6 or 7 weeks and then one day I wake up and I can't find any mention of it on the Sci Fi site which, just hours before was adorned with ads for the dream show, and nothing was ever said of it on Sci Fi again... It just vanished. Who knows? It's like the book "1984" with those people. When they get tired of something, they throw it away like it never existed.. lol.

Hi Othersidetemp.

About 3 years ago they bought the rights for a show from Shotime that I really liked. It was a paranormal show based loosly on the Poltergeist movie. It had been on Shotime for 3 seasons and Sci-Fi picked up a 4th season. That was the last season they did. They played reruns of the 4 seasons after it ended and then replaced it with Crossing Over. I was so angry with Sci-Fi that they would do that, that I almost didn't give Crossing Over a chance! I'm glad that I did though.

The only good thing that I can say about Sci-Fi is that they did give us JE.

Jassie-

I guess that's what we should expect from the Sci-fi channel anyway. I guess once they realized that what John does is actually real, that kind of defeated the purpose of their entire network- science fiction.. In a way, its good that they're pushing John out if you will, because it shows that mediumship is becoming something widely accepted and seriously studied, and isn't just something the fans of Star Trek: The Next generation can tune into when they're bored.. :)

OthersideTemp,

I guess you are right. I don't even mind the late-night time slot, since I'm a might person. But, I hate that Sci-Fi keeps doing this to shows I like.

Oh well, I guess that's like. :)

I am personally glad that they dropped that. I thought that it would be interesting but it seemed as though all they wanted to promote was se_. Not to my liking .

I live in the West and CO now comes on at 10pm on Sci-fi which means it is on at 1:00am in the East. I'm disappointed that they put it on at such a late time. Does this mean that CO is fading into the sunset? Sure would be a lot of unhappy fans out there if it does. Does anyone know if they will be moving it back to it's regular time in the fall?

Marloupro-

In my opinion, there's no telling if/when Sci-Fi will ever put Crossing Over back in its 11:00 slot. Several months back, the show (which aired Sunday through Thursday at 11:00 and 11:30) began taking away some of the 11:30 episodes, and then slowly but surely, began filling in the 11:00 slot with a movie or another show unexpectedly, until just a few weeks ago, every night was filled with a movie or tv show.

Recently, Sci-Fi began airing Crossing Over at 1:00 with (as far as I know) no 1:30 episode, but even that hasn't been stable. The past few days, CO hasn't aired at 1:00, 11:00, or any time at all.

Sci-Fi, IMO, is trying to change its image a little bit. They're always adding new shows in to the 11:00 spot to see if they can attract an even bigger and diverse audience, but the shows end up falling into oblivion and are never heard from again-- at least that was the case with The Dream Team. I think ever since they started giving CO a workout by having it run from one timeslot to another, Sci-Fi has lost some loyal (CO) viewers, and thus there aren't many people up anymore watching it.. That could also be due to their impromptu schedule changes at the last minute-- nobody seems to know when anything will be on!

Anyway, it isn't my job to put all board members to sleep, so I'll wrap this up. Whether or not CO fades from SciFi, it still has a HUGE fan base in syndication, and is still a force to be reckoned with either way. :)
