First Day Metered Market Results: Crossing Over with John Edward and Shipmates

On a reminder that one day does not a hit or miss make, here are first day overnight results for Studios USA's Crossing Over with John Edward and Columbia TriStar's Shipmates. Although the days of an instant hit are long gone, growth for John Edward of 7 percent in rating and one share point from the July 2001 time period average and share retention from both its lead-in and year-ago time period delivery is a promising start. Less successful is Shipmates, which is off one share point from the three comparative factors.
