Folks, just a word or two about discussions of other mediums, besides John Edward.

For a whole host of reasons, (mostly based on past negative experience with such discussions, and ensuing arguments) we don't allow them here.

You are welcome however, to discuss, compare, contrast, recommend, complain or whatever, at our sister site:

www.SpiritDiscovery.com/disc

Thank you for your cooperation,
Pam

I'd like to announce a small change in this guideline.

Once duing a conversation with John he told me that will only recommend other mediums that he has either worked along side with, or had a personal reading with. Since John has now publicly worked with Suzane Northrop, John Holland and Robert Browne, we will allow discussions of these mediums only, especially in light of the recent Vegas seminar.

We want you to feel comfortable discussing these medium's work, styles, abilities, etc. honestly, even if a particular medium doesn't appeal to your tastes. We just want to remind everyone to please keep the discussion respectful, and remember that not everyone might share your opinion.

In other words, there are no "problems," but "opportunities for improvement." :yinyang:

Sorry, but especially since you mentioned the Vegas seminar, could you please elaborate for me & perhaps others who are as so clueless as I am? Geepers! What happened there? Thanks... Angels :angel2:

This comes up pretty often, so I'll address it here.

A good way to research what's being talked about here on the board, is to use the "search" feature up on the upper right hand corner of the screen. Just click on that search button, and for example in this instance, type in "vegas" in the first box on the left, and then click "Perform Search" and see what comes up.

This way, you won't have to wait for someone to answer, and you can see for yourself!

Try it, and if you still have question, by all means - ask away!

Thanks! I never fail to use Google when I am searching for something on the web, but danged (pseudonym for another word) if I can remember to use that when I'm looking on the board! Age - its wasted on the young. :lwink:

Maybe I should have said -

"I KNEW that..... I was just giving Pam an opening to tell all the newcomers that information!"

Hi, I just registered to specifically search for this las vegas thread. I never found it. All the threads talked about people traveling over there and their experiences after. I thought something had happened? Where is this thread?

JulieV, have you seen this thread? I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for. Go down to about the 10th post; that's where the attendees started posting of their experiences:

http://www.johnedwardtalk.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7174&highlight=las+vegas

As Pam stated above, if you do a "Search" using "vegas" as the keyword, a large number of threads will come up, but you may be able to tell by the title if it's what you're looking for.

Good luck!

Pam said "we will allow discussions of these mediums only, especially in light of the recent Vegas seminar." It just made me think something had happened. Like something happened with the other mediums at the seminar and because of that, they are not allowed to be talked about. I just took it wrong I guess. Sorry!

Okay, I understand now.

As you probably saw, there has always been the rule of "no discussion of other mediums" here at this board, but there was a small change made in that guideline in March, due to the inclusion of the above mentioned mediums at the recent John Edward and Friends Event/Seminar in Las Vegas.

I guess the mystery is solved. :)

Hi Julie V,

Welcome!

I was in Las Vegas for the four hour event ("John Edward and Friends") and had a great time meeting FOJE-ers and seeing the four different mediums at work. In case you didn't find the thread yet, JE invited three of his friends who are long-time mediums to join him for reading demonstrations that day, and to answer questions about mediumship.

The three were: Suzane Northrop (New York), John Holland (Boston) and Robert Browne (from England, but he travels extensively).

They all also have new books out. I don't have Suzane's, but JH's and Robert's are both very interesting, down-to-earth stories about how they got their training and experience.

The Las Vegas seminar was 4 hours and JE hosted, but the presentation time was divided up completely evenly among the four mediums. They clearly were friends and had a lot of mutual respect for each other. Although they are each well known, none of them can attract the crowd that JE does. Frankly, I thought his idea of having them all appear together--with nothing "in it" for himself, beyond the chance to educate the public about how other mediums work--was very generous. The presentations made it clear that, though they had different styles, they regarded each other as equals.

I was very impressed that JE emphasized to the audience in this way that it really is "about the process" and not just about him, even though he is so visible in the field and so popular. Clearly, he does NOT want to make it "about him", and he thought this would be an educational experience for those interested in mediumship--as opposed to being interested in getting a reading--which it was.

Since he "endorsed" these three by appearing on stage at this event, my understanding of this thread is that its okay with Pam for us to discuss any of the three friends/mediums at this board (mediums he has not endorsed like this are discussed over at the Spirit Discovery board).

I don't know if he'll do this event again--I imagine scheduling everyone together is very difficult. But if you have a chance to go, I would highly recommend it.
