Hi there everyone!
There's so much I want to say to everyone! This has been a roller-coaster summer, that's for sure. There's so many threads I want to post to, but I won't hijack the discussion board leaving nothing but a list of new posts from me :)
Most importantly, thank you all for the prayers for my mother. She was in critical condition and unresponsive, and we were hours away from taking her off life support because the doctors didn't give us much hope, based on her brain EEGs and based on what mom had told us in the past, should she ever be in this condition. We were literally planning all the difficult details of her probable crossing over last night and I went to say goodbye to her, hoping -- yet doubting -- that she could hear me. :( This morning, by God's graces  she defied all the doctors and awoke from her coma. It's still touch and go, but we have been blessed with a second chance on This Side - and I am well aware that this is a very rare happening. I would appreciate your continued prayers for her recovery, and for all who are caring for her now while she is still in the ICU.
Thank you for prayers for my broken and sprained ankles. The toughest part was being away from my son for so many hours because I had to stay in bed so much, but the blessing was that we found a wonderful young lady to come and take care of Zach right here in the house and Zach adores her! I know your prayers are working, because my physical therapists are amazed at how well I'm walking (not 100% yet though!) My broken ankle was a gift from God. Looking back, I can see that I asked for this to happen, and it did. (More on that later :) I am very impolitely late with my "thank you cards" to all who sent me cards, letters, flowers, printed out the prayer requests for me, care packages, cookies, and beautiful, meaningful gifts. I am constantly overwhelmed by the generosity and spirit of the people of this community. You are all so special, and special to me.
A huge thank you, hugs, (and drinks on me next time we see each other) to all the moderators: Jude, Don, Julie, Ann Marie, Laura, Cyndy, Tammy (whom I missed SO MUCH) and our newest team member Gail. Thank you for holding down the fort and keeping in touch with me via the phone, so I could still feel "connected" even though I was so far from the computer.
There's so many wonderful discussions here, and I haven't even had time to read them all. I hope that I can start catching up, once I know what direction my mom is going to take, and what she's going to need from me, if anything, over the next few days and weeks.
To those who have emailed me, please be patient with me. I still can't spend a lot of time on the pc (still dealing with swelling issues and have to keep the ankle higher than my heart.) Please give me time to sort through all the system emails, board emails and spam.
THANK YOU EVERYONE
