Cheers All!

Just rolled in from the Seattle seminar...it was AMAZING! While we didn't get a reading, there were quite a few messages for my aunt and I at the seminar, the drive there, the drive home, at the hotel, the parking lot....lol! I'll share those tomorrow.

Thank you all for your prayers!!!!!

This is the second time I've seen John live - last year I was fortunate enough to sit in the Gallery.

And let me tell you what - Seattle was a COMPLETELY different experience than New York.

At the gallery, John was focused, attentive, and extremely accurate. He had a presence. He was so full of energy it seemed like he could jump out of his skin at any moment. You could feel the energy coming from him. He even blew out his microphone. It was an amazing experience.

Now in Seattle, John's demeanor was a lot different from what I witnessed at the Gallery. He was dressed casually, in black jeans and black long sleeved shirt, and he had his glasses on. (I'm think he only wears contacts for TV.)

When strolled out on stage and the room erupted. He was relaxed, and seemed extremely comfortable standing in front of over 3,000 anxious people. He had attitude. And he wasn't just funny -
John could have passed for a stand up comedian.

He started giving us the usual "ground rules" and asked that if he starts reading someone who isn't validating his information and gets stuck, that we be patient.

He said, "Ay know when your watching crossing over and I'm doing a reading, and it's like I'm going over, and over, and over, and your sitting at home yelling at the TV 'Stupid as* woman...'
I'm standing here wondering which one of you is going to do that..."

Immediately after that, he said not to expect to get all the answers you want from your loved ones if you did get a reading. He said "You might want to hear that you were really Moms favorite, or your damn sister stole the ring...but they come through with the new shoes you bought yesterday. [laughter] But if they come through with that, it means that they were there for the important things too. They were there when you graduated, they were there when you got married, they were there when you had your first child, they were there when you had your affair."

I almost wet my pants I laughed so hard.

He also shared some touching moments from his new book that I'll let everyone read after its release-BUT I will share a few dates John has coming up.

He mentioned he just finished a taping of the Ellen Degenerate show, he's going to be on Larry King Live in October, and in December he's going to do a "Crossing Over Live"...he will be in the Gallery alone, taking live calls from viewers. (Nifty, hu?)

I'll post details of all the readings after I go over my notes, but I want to share with you the most amazing reading I've ever seen John give. It took my breath away.

John was standing on the corner of the stage reading a woman named Pat on the far left side of the room close to the front.

Her husband was coming through and apologizing for what taking his own life had done to her and her family. John said that it was not a selfish act - but that the man genuinely believed that by leaving, he would be setting her and her family free.

John continued giving her information, all of which she validated, including a funny story about miricale-whip. Then John said, "I have to say I like his energy and I have to say he's doing something that is not very common, I've had this happen before but it doesn't happen all the time. He's going to escort me to that side of the stage. (Pointing to the opposite end) Hang on, don't go anywhere."

As John was walking across the stage he turned and asked Pat, "Is it possible you know someone on that side of the room? Is there a reason for me to go there?"

"No." She answered.

He then turned to the camera operator and pointed towards Pat. "Can you guys put her on the screen? OK, Pat look at the camera...smile!"

He then pointed to the right front corner of the room. "Ok you guys in this section, does anyone know her?" he said grinning & pointing to the screen.

A woman in that section raised her hand & was quickly given a microphone.

"Is she a massage therapist?" the woman asked.

John looked at Pat, folded his arms and grinned. She answered yes, which caused a gasp from the audience.

Johns head turned to the other woman across the room, his grin widening, and she continued. "You've worked with me before. And I think you also work with my hairdresser.."

"What's your name?" Pat asked.

"My name is Pam and my hairdresser is Laura."

Pat gasped, "Yes! Laura's here with me!"

The audience erupted with gasps and applause.

John unfolded his arms and replied, "Crossing Over..reuniting the living with the living.." raising his hands towards Pam & then Pat.

It was STUNNING. I'm getting tears in my eyes again.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!

I'll post more details tomorrow! God Bless!

That is so cool. Just one more thing to prove to the skeptics that he is the real deal. I would love to be able to go to all his seminars, where's those lottery numbers when ya need em. I can't wait to hear all about the seminar.

I was also at the Seattle seminar and unfortunately had a major chickening out of raising my hand to say I understood.

Towards the beginning of the evening (I believe right before the story you told), John went directly to a lady wearing bright orange (one row and four seats behind me) asking if "Hello Dolly" meant anything to her, also the name Laurel or Lauren, and that it was a female to the side. Well, Dolly was my best friend's nickname and my name is Lori, but since he went directly to the lady, I waited (thinking I would never get a reading). Then the lady didn't understand it, and he said something about a hysterectomy, but before I could raise my hand, the audience pointed out a lady across the aisle (also wearing an orange color) and he went on to give her a short reading (although it was probably the worst of the evening). I still kick myself for not raising my hand, anyway, (and I did have bright orange in my shirt that night also), but was hoping the second lady wouldn't validate much either, and then I would know it was me.

Anyway, I am still kicking myself for being such a chicken, but all he said did apply to me (and two things were what I asked her to come through with), so I am wondering if anyone knows where to get a copy of the taping they did that night so that I can at least hear exactly what he said one more time. It came as such a shock to hear things I knew about when I went there totally not expecting a reading, that I had that lovely momentary lapse of nerve and coherence.

Any help anyone can give me would be very gratefully appreciated.

Thanks!

Lori

Lori,

I attended three of the seminars that week, but not the one in Seattle. However, if my memory serves, they did not tape any of the seminars that week for TV. What you saw was probably just the "in-house" projection system so that they could put John's face up on the big screens so everyone could see better. That's typical. Unless the ticket and information you received when you purchased them indicated that it was being taped for TV, I have my doubts that a tape exists.

That being said, I'm the first to confess that I often am wrong. The only way to know for certain would be to check with the folks at Get Psych'd. Write them a letter and tell them about your experience and ask them if they'd email you with the information regarding any tape that might exist. They don't respond to all mail, but they DO read it all. If there's a tape and a way for them to share it with you, I'm certain that they would respond.

To write to John, you send it to the P.O. Box on his website...

Hope this helps!

Lori -

I recorded most of the seminar with my handheld audio cassette recorder...

I'll dig out the tapes over the weekend and try to find the reading that youre referring to.

Hopefully that section of the tape turned out OK, portions of the recording(s) are difficult to hear.

I'll let you know, OK?

Angelina you don't need to apologize.

Sara, HUGE no-no. Surely you've heard JE make this request, or at least read about it in our Seminar FAQ? I can understand the desire to relive the experience on tape, but it's very much against Mr. Edward's wishes, and according to him you have jeaporadized the chance of anyone seated around you to get a reading. Not a good thing :tsktsk:

Just to be fair to penielayne, I was at that seminar, and at no time did John request that it not be taped. Just to make that clear... yeah, you shouldn't, but... anyway.

I thought a professional group had taped the seminar (John's staff) because of the camera I saw in the back, but it makes sense that it was just to put his face on the monitor, just figured they taped also for clips for his TV show. I would happy with a transcript of that part just to hear exactly what he said during the "Hello Dolly" part, don't necessarily need to see it.

I know in my heart my friend was there and I was a chicken; she's been hanging around me the entire 25 years she has been gone, so in that way it is okay. That's why it took me by surprise when he gave out the things to validate, because I truly didn't expect a reading when I already believed in the signs she sends me and knew there were many people in the audience who needed to hear it much more than me first hand from him. It just happened so fast and threw me off that I just wondered if I missed something he said.

Thanks for all the help! :rainbow2:

LWood, you did hear things at the seminar, not directly face to face with John, that were meant for you. So many people walk away from seminars knowing things that came through for other people also have meanings for them. We are all there for a reason.

John keeps repeating that we all get a piece of the cake at seminars. I bet everyone on here who has been to one has heard something that connected with them and came home with some cake. I know I do everytime I attend one of John's events, or even watch "Crossing Over".

Sorry Forgiveness, but no one at all made that request... but it doesn't matter. I think at events like that it's usually written on the back of the ticket or something. But shouldn't we let it go? I think the point of this thread is more LWood's experience (??)

LWood, I had a similar experience at a seminar about two years ago, and I know what you're going through -- the "what ifs" if you had said something. Try not to kick yourself over it and try to believe -- as I did -- that it really did happen that way for a reason.
