For some reason, AOL is refusing to deliver mail from JohnEdwardFriends.org or JohnEdwardTalk.org. We're not sure what the real reason is, but this is what is being sent back to the sender:

Our regular members know that we do not send out unsolicited emails. The only emails that are sent out automatically (without human intervention) are the confirmation emails when someone joins, and when some subscribes to a thread or forum. Soooo...I don't know what "member complaints" are coming from

We've noticed that several AOL users cannot browse our board with the AOL software, and that using Internet Explorer instead solves the problem. I don't know if the two problems are related.

We are still attempting to investigate why this is happening, and how to remove the block. AOL isn't answering my emails.

If you are an AOL user, and you feel that you are missing emails from the board (subscribed threads, etc.) it would help us greatly if you would contact your AOL Support folks and complain that AOL is censoring your mail!

Thank you!

Pam,
I haven't been getting notification of replies to threads I have been writing on. I usually get e mail that someone has responded to certain threads, is this what you mean. I am not that good with the wed and problems. When I call aol do I explain what I have told you.?
Thanks,

:tech: Until AOL is able to straighten this out, a simple solution is to switch your email address to another free-mail site (there are a lot of them out there). I was going to recommend Lycos, but I see they also are experiencing problems. Nonetheless, you can begin by looking here (http://www.emailaddresses.com/).
Just remember that if you change your JohnEdwardFriends email address, you will need to respond to the subsequent verification message that will be sent to that new address.

Yes Viv, this would be one of the problems, besides new people not being able to get the confirmation email that is automatically sent out when they register.

Also, if someone tries to email you (AOL users) through their profile on the board, that would also initiate a mail from "johnedwardfriends.org" and would also bounce back and be blocked from the AOL recipient.

So, if some of you are emailing each other through the board, and don't get responses back, it might be because the recipient is an AOL user, and is not even getting your mail!
