On Johns website I see that he has a seminar coming up in December but its unannounced for the time being., I would love to get tickets and bring my husband which is so skeptical it isnt funny. But after seeing John a few times I may have him just half a pinky size on believing him..just alittle, he doesnt believe in god which Im trying to educate him the best I can, but if he can only hear and be part of what this spritual gift is all about Im hoping it would change his thinking because If he goes before me I want him to meet me on the other side with open arms!! he just doesnt get it! If anyone knows how to get tickets please let me know!

Most Greatful!
Sherry

I'm patiently waiting for the tickets to go on sale also;) Hubby is a part - time skeptic  When he sees coins on the ground he thanks his family but then there are times he likes to make his little comments. I guess he likes to go (we have been to 4 seminars and plan on going to CT, MD and AC) He says it's for me:rolleyes: but I wonder.

Hi gingarita

Can you ask the producers? Or whom ever it is that handles inviting your guests to come on the show? That would be so cool! Im watching John right now and he is just absolutely incredible!! its great thursday nights he's back to back 1am to 2am on channel 64 scifi

Hi paula0405
My husband is so skeptical, but Im trying really hard! I asked
him if I got tickets would he go? he said No, but he paused so
knowing my husband he may just surprise me. I just need that one chance to get him to see things differently

Hi, Sandy and everyone!

I check daily for ticket sales for Baltimore(going with a friend who is a little bit psychic and could really use a read). I am also checking for Atlantic City since we would be able to take the ferry and drive up from Cape May. And of course, DC, my old stoomping grounds. It will be great to see so many JEfriends at these events.

I am trying to remember if tickets usually go on sale at 10 am or 12 noon. It's a good bet to start early, though. Casino? Atlantic City?? FAVORITE??? Sounds like a regular! I went in to Dover Downs a few weeks ago - first time I every used the slots. I suppose if I had simply kept my winnings I would have come out ahead but spent every last alloted dime...I mean, QUARTER! Sandy - are you going to wear that SMILEY shirt again? I don't think there is usually reserved seating in these bigger places, do you? I remember there was at Jamestown but it was a relatively small theater. Anyway it will be fun..and there is the ocean, too! I haven't been in AC for over 30 years !!

:lwink: Diane

Jude
10-06-2003, 11:39 AM
Steluna, JE's website lists the regular price of $45 for the tickets, so I guess that means one flat rate for all, general admission, no reserved seats.

Does anyone know yet which room this will be in, and what the seating capacity is? Sounds like there are a few and that they vary in size.

qtncrazy
10-06-2003, 12:05 PM

I am a regular to AC. In fact, it was my mom's and my favorite place to go together. We've been doing it for about 20 years or so. I had a validation from her while on vacation on Cape Cod this year that had to do with AC and our favorite casino, the Taj. What better place for her to come through. :) She'll be there with me, whether she comes through or not.

I know at the Westbury, on the first night of the seminar back in June, he just went right into the readings. I really think it depends on how persistent our loved ones on the other side are.

Lorrie,
Thanks for reminding me about Pittsburgh. I got two tickets just tonight. Skip thought when we saw him there a few years ago it was a four hour drive but I checked Mapquest and it is a little over three and that is the same amount of time it would have taken us to go to Atlantic City. I could have gotten tickets for Atlantic City if I would have been able to call sooner but I couldn't.
We donated 10 heart defibrillators yesterday to a School District in our area from Nicks Foundation and until we got back tickets had already been sold out.
It would have been nice to be able to meet everyone in Atlantic City but maybe at some other seminar.......
Thanks again for telling me about Pittsburgh !!!!!!!!

Trish, it is general admission as someone already said, but I don't think it really matters where you sit, so I wouldn't worry about waiting in line for hours. Just my humble opinion, but I think you could walk up to the door at 7:15 and get a seat. I would imagine that if you have a ticket, you get in. I went to a seminar in the spring in MA, and they had large screen monitors in the front of the auditorium so that you could see what was going on no matter where you were sitting. Also, John read people way in the back, right up front, and everywhere in between.

Just had to run this by you guys. The date of Dec 5th (I have
tickets for that date) was ringing a bell with me, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I knew it wasn't anyone's birthday, anniversary, etc. This morning, I went into my spare bedroom to get a book of checks out of the desk in there. On top of the desk I have a picture of my mom (who passed last Oct), my three brothers, and me taken at her 65th birthday party. It's not framed, I just have it kind of propped up on the desk. It had fallen down, so I picked it up and looked at it for a moment before standing it back up. Across the lower right corner is the date... 12 5 1998. I was like, that's it! I wouldn't automatically make the connection because her birthday wasn't until Dec 31st, but I wanted to have her party before everyone got wrapped up in the holidays. It's ironic too because I've been thinking that she would be 70 this Dec, and I would have been having another party for her. So, do you think I'm reaching, if I take this as a sign. I feel like she's saying, "Oh, we're gonna have a party! At the convention center in AC!" :D

I think that is an excellent sign and the suggestion to bring the pic is great, too. I know I would like to see it. I would like to come for Dec 4 with you guys but we have 8 cats and a ditsy 82-year old Dad so we can't be away for too long. I have yet to find a good 'cat and Dad' sitter but a neighbor will come and feed and scoop as well as check on Dad twice a day. I remember last year in Nov when we went to Jamestown, we had three rescue kittens living in our master bath and my brother came over and spent the weekend caring for them and Dad! Now the kitties are beautiful big shiney teenagers! What made me nervous about leaving Dad was when he decided to use a plastic cutting board as a baking sheet for a pizza he was getting ready to put in the oven. I will tell him 'no cooking' while we are gone. Of course, his memory is shot so he will forget!! If I ever got a reading from John, I am sure it would be from my mother telling me to have more patience and take good care of Dad!!!!

Thats a wonderful sign from her!! I pray she comes thru for you!
Ive had numerous signs when I was young up until now I didnt realize they were signs, you dont know this until you reach that certain age and understand life and what its all about. Now I look back and think of all the love I got in signs I will always remember and its such a special gift that you will always experience and treasure until we all meet again! Like John says you Validate the loved ones that you have today, and you dont have to have him do it for you. I hugged my mother just yesterday and I thought
I was in a blanket of pure comfort and nothing could hurt me was such a wonderful feeling! I kissed her on the lips and told her how much I loved her before I left! that was such a good feeling!
I know your mom is with you and she will show you signs or you'll
here your name and noone will be there and you'll look around
asking yourself who was that? or you'll smell her scent because she wants you to know thats she's around, just some experiences Ive had with other loved ones that have crossed over!
Another Goodluck that she comes thru for you!!

I tried too late to get tickets for the 5th (already sold out) but when I saw there was an extra day, I went ahead and booked a hotel room. I figured it was easier to cancel a standing reservation than try to book a room after the fact. It's about a 4 hour drive from here (Northern VA) so we'll be getting on the road no later than 1:00 pm.

I was in the Gallery last October but this will be a first for my husband. Nothing takes the place of actually being in the same room with John (no matter how big a venue it is).

Looking forward to meeting up with other members of this board while we're up in AC.

I was a little worried when I saw the posts about general seating, I think I've had enough of crowds for the year between the Freehold Barnes and Noble book signing mob and seeing Rosemary Altea up in Huntington, L.I. in July :goofy:, but I've never been to one of John's seminars so I'll just have to enjoy the crowds for what it's worth.

Anyways, I also wanted to say hello to Bluesnshine (Sherry) in Beachwood, NJ. I put two and two together and figured out that you work at the same place that my fiance works at!! He reconized your login name and real name and said, "I know her!" and he says that you are a very nice person! :) His name is Chris McKee and his last day at work is 11/28 so we need something good to look forward to and seeing John is it! :jumper: We live very close to A.C. so it will just be a night out on the town for us! Hope you get to go too Sherry!!

Well, just wanted to drop a hello to you all and let me know if anyone wants to meet up at the event. :daisy:

Sandy,
Please educate me....
Why take chairs with you? I know its general seating but once you get in there are chairs there, no?
Forgive me if it sounds stupid, maybe I missed a post or something.

Megray is correct they are for the waiting out side. If you want to be able to get a good view of John You got to be up front.
We usually get there 2hrs before the doors open and are still a few hundred people ahead of us. we were late at the philadelphia seminar and had seatsthat you only could see john on the screen. Even though the seminar was great looking at a screen to see what was going on was disappointing .

I was wondering why people are bringing chairs too. But, if it's just for waiting to get in, then I won't worry about it. Hey, as long as I have a seat, I don't care where I'm sitting. :P

Hi Mysticisland (Ann & Chris) :)

Yes its me, such a small world! Thats incredible!
Congrats on your engagement! Im not sure when you got
engaged but Congrats anyway! :D You've chosen a real nice guy!!

Im so glad you got tickets! and you both will have such a good time I know you will! I didnt want to purchase tickets because of the date of the events and Im not supposed to leave until 12/5
but things are so slow that they may let us go earlier, I will really
get upset if that happens, my husband said just go ahead and purchase them anyway and if you cant go then just give them to someone that would interested in going, that would be just more upsetting if that were to happen :( so needless to say I guess I'll wait for another seminar, NY would be great too not to far from here either!

Everyone I would get there like 4 hrs before the doors open, ah its worth the wait!! :D

I just purchased tickets for Dec 4th! I'm so excited. This is my first seminar. I'm going with one other friend. I tried to get tickets for Dec 5th but I was working when they went on sale and sold out way to fast.

Any tips?

Hi Sherry!! It really is a small world!! I was also wondering if you happen to be the same person that I was emailing with about 2 years ago about going to Weight Watchers in Toms River. I'm pretty sure the person's name was Sherry and she worked at mcrwrhs too. She had a Yahoo group for her diet journal....you wouldn't happen to be the same person would you? That really would be like fate bringing us together!

Thanks for the congrats!! Our wedding is Nov. 7th, less then a month away! Eek! Chris is also getting worried that he'll be laid off before Nov. 28th...we are hoping to make it past the wedding at least.

Chris is just going to see John Edward with me because it's on a week night and it would be hard to have my mom or my friend come down to A.C. He's like your husband, not really believing in anything. I think he's just going with me because he's a nice guy! :P I'll have to go to a football game with him now I suppose ;) hahaha!!

Greetings All. My tickets for Dec. 4th in AC arrived yesterday.
:jumper: :jumper: :jumper:

Thanks for the tip, PhilsGail, about the envelope the tickets are mailed in. Luckily the envelope was addressed to me. My husband told me that he would've just thrown the envelope out without opening it. We get a lot of junk mail (like everyone else).

Got the hotel room, got the tickets....I think we're good to go.
Looking forward to meeting up with other members of this venue in AC.

Blessings to All,

Linda

OK, who's gonna be in charge of corralling the JE Friends at the AC seminar? I kind of took the lead in the Wallingford CT meeting and was wondering if anyone had any plans for AC. I'll be there on the 5th so count me in.

How did you guys find each other in Wallingford? BTW, I grew up in Chester, CT and my aunt and grandmother lived in Wallingford, just down the road from the Masonic Home. Anyway, how did you all identify each other? Did you gather in a certain place? Balloons? Etc? Let's come up with some ideas. It is just around the corner(I am in for 12/5)!!!

Diane,
The seminar in Wallingford is this Sunday, the 26th. We have not met yet. We are exchanging cell #'s. There are only 5 of us meeting, not a big group. It looks like AC will out number that by 2 or 3 times.
You sound like you've got some good ideas. I'm passing the baton on to you. :D
Make it happen and don't forget, don't post meeting places on the board. All arrangements should be done privately via email. How’s that for volunteering you for the job! Hehehe

I suppose I can help if needed.....Oh boy,(tapping finger on desk) ok I'll do it! I could use some help though, anyone game?
I guess I set myself up for that, didn’t I?

Sandy and I will be at both AC dates and we might be able to meet on the boardwalk in front of the convention center at the circle a couple hours before hand. I know if we meet any later the line to get in will be back up outside. From what i have been able to gather the hall a holds between 2500 and 3500 people so its going to be big like in phlia.

Lou, (Sandys Hubbie) and everyone else!
I may be wrong but I think this is the NEW convention center, no longer located on the board walk. It is locate at One Miss America Way, off the boardwalk and closer to the Parkway. My mom was in AC this weekend and said that it was no longer on the boardwalk but Mom has been known to confuse things sometimes :goofy:
Can anyone confirm this? HELP!!!!

Your right just checked the directions and it is at the base of the express way. I just passed that place a couple of months ago and didn't even realize it. Good thing i said something cause i would have went to the old convention center.

AHHHH can you believe it!!

I got called for jury duty on the same day as the Dec 4th seminar!! Hopefully the case will get settled so I don't have to go in. Normally jury duty doesn't bother me but THIS DAY!!
I was sommened 2 months ago and the case was cancelled so I didn't have to go. Hopefully I have the same luck.

I'll still be able to make it to the seminar but I won't make it there till 7:30. I hope they let you in if your late!

Have a great evening ~ Nessa

I hope your court date gets cancled too.

I know how you feel Hubby has been called to show up on the 1st
and we have tickets for both the 4&5 dates. The last time he got
called he was there on a case for the week. Here's hoping that you both get off.

I don't know if it works the same in all areas, but I've postponed jurty duty before. They were actually really good about it. It was because it was a particularly busy time at work and my boss asked if I would. Right after I got the summons, I called and said that it was a bad time for me to leave work, and was there any way I could postpone. The clerk asked when I would like to postpone to. I said it really wouldn' be any better for several months. She said, "How about 6 months from now." I couldn't believe how good they were about it. Someone told me, they'll let you do that, but you can't abuse it. By the way, I got the next summons exactly 6 months later.

Just a thought for you guys.

Vanessa

I might try that. I was scheduled for work that day untill 2:00pm. I had many clients on the book and December is the busiest time at work. We're not usually allowed to take off. Although they do write in the letter they sent me " the court has a very strict excuse policy and will not consider excusing and individual service absent extreme hardship or extreme inconvience". I'm going to ask my boss what he thinks.

thanks Vanessa

I think maybe they're a little more understanding when you're only asking for a postponment, Vanessa. A lot of people try to get out of it altogether, and I think that's what they're more strict about. Good luck.

Vanessa

Postponement is all I would need. Not even because of the seminar but because of the busy schedule at work and working on commission. I don't mind jury duty.

Hi Vanessa!

I know that if you have children then they would take that into consideration as well, there are some friends of mine that told them they couldnt because of there children there would be noone to babysit them, just putting my 2 cents in :)
I hope you can make the seminar!! Good Luck!!
