I just came back from the workshop and spent the most wonderful day with members of this board & other workshop attendees. What a special treat it was to meet and share this day with Pam, qtncrazy, Twinky(and her husband), Heather C, teresa02 (and her hubby), Irene99, Irish140, tinkster, Svmaxx, Phigalilly, Scrambled6, LADreamer, Sandangel, Needs-a-Nap, Jhoelle, Peg B. And it was wonderful to get together again with Gail, Valerie, Maria V, Namaste, and Angelina. Please forgive me if I've left any out anyone. I have to say that "we" were very well represented.

I know that many attendees will post, so I will just give you a brief synopsis and then I need to sleep. My day began at 5:00AM.

John began the workshop with 4 key words. Ego, Permission, Recognition and Acceptance. He immediately said to cross out ego. Permission-we need to give ourselves permission to be able to develop, and permission to say "I don't want this" if we feel uncomfortable. Recognition-we have to recognize what is happening and be aware that it might play out emotionally. Acceptance- continue to question the information and then allow yourself to accept it.
He stressed the need to practice psychic self defense every day.

He covered the 7 colors of the Chakras and led us through the first of 2 meditations. I think that was my favorite part. It was very different from working with his tapes. I felt especially safe meditating with him watching over us.

Joining John was Sandy Anastasi, who he stressed was his only teacher.
We broke for lunch and came back to more questions and then John had us do an exercise using psychometry. This was really cool! We held a piece of jewelry from the person sitting behind us and wrote down words and images that we felt we were getting. We then asked if the words meant anything to the person who owned the jewelry. And the people seated on both sides of them. I was working with Namaste and next to her was LADreamer. When I looked at her words I flipped. She had written my husbands name next to my brothers name, the town where I live and the age of my youngest son! So Cool!

Sandy taught us the basics of numerology and gave us worksheets to find our birth path and name significance.

Then John led us through another meditation and helped us build our psychic room. Namaste and Needs-a-Nap had will definitely want to share their experience with this.
I know there was so much more that others will write about.

All in all today was a special day made even more wonderful because it was shared with "Friends".

Thank you Gail for making the beautiful folders with photos and list of the JEFriends. And thank you Pam for giving us this wonderful place.
Beth
(OK, so it wasn' t a brief synopsis)

The workshop sounds terrific. I bet you and everyone else is very tired. It was great that Sandy Anastasi was there. (I just saw her last weekend in MPLS at a seminar....she is terrific, what a gifted teacher.) I imagine the methods John uses to teach are very similar to hers.

I'm looking forward to hearing more. The more we share the better we all can learn.

Love, light, and peace,

Hello, all!!

MNT2BE... bless you for starting this thread (and after midnight following a long day!!)

Oh-so-much to reflect upon and talk about... it truly was, to quote MNT2BE, a "most wonderful day".

I'm going to refer to Gail's list (with which she thoughtfully provided each of us) for a rundown of the members there... AmyRose3, AnnieB43, Daughtie, delusionalblond, Forgiveness, Foster, HeatherC, Irene99, Irish140, Jhoelle, LADreamr, Louisa, Maria V, MNT2BE, Moonshado, Namste, Needs-a-Nap, Pam, Peg B, pegasus214, Phigalilly, PhilsGail, qtncrazy, Sandangel, Scrambled6, Scubacat, SVMAXX, teresa, Theophilia, Twinky, and myself. LOTS of photos were taken and I'm certain those will be posted in fairly short order.

I had the opportunity to meet many of the above-mentioned, but missed face-to-face meetings with others, but my time there before and after the workshop was short. (Especially before due to one of my exits in NY being closed and my nav system had no clue what to do - but, I was saved from eternally looping NY by my good friend qtncrazy!!

MNT2BE has done a fine job of providing a synopsis of the day's "curriculum". In addition to John's introduction of the 4 key words - he also included, and repeatedly stressed, the importance of meditation/prayer as providing a method and means of relaxing, focusing, and letting go of "mind noise" (his words). I found this portion of the workshop to be, for me, very beneficial.

In reviewing my notes, I find that I quoted (and underlined several times) another item from him... "You don't have to explain yourself." i.e. one doesn't have to defend one's belief - it is personal, it is subjective, and one owns it for one's self.

A funny thing about John's discussion of ego - and the need to keep it out of the process... He said he felt that "ego" should be a 4-letter word because it is so-o-o objectionable in the process. Well, I found myself writing EGGO! (I not having had breakfast, my stomach was sending me a message!!)

Sandy Anastasi, who John holds in obvious high-regard, conducted a very interesting mini-session on numerology, though it seemed (here's my teacher-self coming through now) to be confusing in its presentation format - there was a shortage of hand-outs, the hand-outs themselves did not adequately outline, for some, the process/calculations being discussed, and the overhead projector was not used to its full-advantage to support the presentation. BTW - In doing the basic calculations, the number "9" was repeatedly revealed for me. Nine signifies "the natural teacher"!!

The psychometry exercise proved most interesting...
HeatherC held my watch, but said she felt stymied because all she could visualize was my avatar... but then suddenly said, "I keep getting the name Molly." Molly is one of my very close friends - and introduced me to the man who is now my husband. I haven't spoken with her in a while and on Friday evening, while driving, I had been thinking how I need to get in touch with her.
I held HeatherC's watch and after a bit I got the name "Dave" very clearly, and, equally clearly, images of a car, a new house (not newly built - newly purchased), and a leg. None of this could be validated by HeatherC, but Maria V (seated to my left), said that Dave is her brother, he just got a new car, and he and his wife are looking for a house. The leg thing couldn't be validated.

Sandy Anastasi was about to conduct a mini-session on astrology when, suddenly, we were informed that the room had to be vacated (it was shortly after 5 PM) due to a function for which the room was scheduled at 7 PM. Sandy agreed to provide to Pam the information she would have presented so that it can be posted on this board. (At this time, John also mentioned this board, gave well-deserved kudos to Pam, AND wished her a very happy birthday!)

Each workshop attendee received a set of John's audio tapes "Developing Your Own Psychic Powers", his novel "What If God Were The Sun?" (which he later took the time to sign for those who desired), and a journal (which he stresssed use of for future self-validation of messages that might otherwise be forgotten and missed if they were not recorded somewhere).

Following the book-signing, the JEFriends gathered in one of the hotel's restaurants for a "family-meal". There, Pam gifted each person with a smudge kit. By the way, Pam... I missed part of the "how-to" explanation! Do you think you could e-mail the directions to me??

Having a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive home ahead of me (and having started my day at 3:15 AM) - qtncrazy(who was to drive me back to where we had left my car that morning) and I didn't stay for the dinner. So, with final hugs, we said our good-byes and headed off. After slow going in a traffic jam resulting from shoppers leaving a nearby mall, qtncazy and I gave each other one last hug, and I was on my way. I made it home safely (after placing my car in a bubble of white light!) by 11:30 PM.

WHAT A DAY!! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! WHAT A MEMORY!!

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WORKSHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was definitely the BEST birthday present that i could ever ask for!!!! i was in the front row with my neighbor and words can not describe the feeling that was. to see john THAT close and to make eye contact with him was AMAZING. i couldnt have asked for anything better!! it was just incredible.

friday night i had gone to the pool to relax. so then i heard this lady talking to this man about John, so i joined them in the jacuzzi. about a half an hour later, a woman and her sister in law came in asking if we knew where the nearest walmart was so they could buy a bathing suit because they were from las vegas. It turns out, that the lady Vikie, was the woman who was on the CBS Early Show for the miracle week and John Suprised her with the tickets to the workshop!!! I could not believe that!!! I was like OMG because i clearly remember watching that show and being so happy for this woman! i even taped it to. but i specifically remember feeling so much joy for the woman. so on our way to the workshop, i even thought to myself, hmm i wonder if I will see that lady! And what do you know i end up meeting her and becoming friends!!! So I gave her my cell phone number for her to call me so we could go in together and with my good friend, who's my neighbor.

So, Saturday morning we had room service and then headed downstairs at about 7:30ish. There were about 40 people ahead of us. The lady infront of us was very nice and told us where she was from and stuff. so then the line begins to move and 5 ladies cut infront of us but it didnt matter in the end. then Vikie called and met up with us. so when we were let in i went right to the front and there were 4 empty seats so it was just perfect!! and so the workshop begins and it was just AMAZING. it felt like we were in a bubble! john is such a wonderful teacher.

what a difference it was meeting john again than at a book signing!!!!!!!!! it was so much calmer! and i had a longer time to talk to him. he really looked in my eyes and understood what i was saying!! i was like ready to cry i was so happy. he was just so wonderful and he signed my picture of him and i and also gave him an extra copy with it. he also signed my CAV journal and the newspaper article that my picture was in when he was at the book signing. i cant even remember what i said that much but i will eventually. it was just so nice to talk to him for like 3 minutes. that was such a gift. best birthday gift ever!! hes so sweet and kind. i even gave him the picture of the woman Monica who he wrote about in Afterlife-- she was the woman that gave him the rosary beads from the vatican! i met her at the book signing and now i am friends with her as well. so he thought that was cool. and i told him how most 17 yr olds my age dont get what he does and how he is my hero. it was such an incredible expereince. and shaking his hand again was like INCREDIBLE!!

i think it still hasnt hit me yet but it will eventually. its been a bittersweet weekend because right before we left for long island, i find out that my grandfather passed away unexpectedly. i was just in shock and still am. but i knew he would have wanted me to go to this, and it just gave me comfort with all that positive energy. and then my birthday is tomorrow so its just hard so many things happening at once--i go for my drivers test tomorrow and im nervous with all this stress, but i just think of my wonderful saturday and remember what John said and hopefully ill do fine.
what a weekend.

i am so grateful that i had this oppurtunity. that was really one of the best days of my life! it really was life changing. thank you john edward for making my birthday present so memorable.

p.s.
it was so nice to see tinkster and qtncrazy again! sorry i didnt get to see anyone else! the book mark is so nice! that was so tthoughtful of you! cant wait to read about everyone else's expereince and ill probably post more later. talk to you all soon!
god bless.

The experience with John and Sandy at this event is very tellling. I am so glad that he had a chance to let others experience her talents as well.

From reading what others have had to say I surmise that this seminar was different from the first one last year. Nice that he varies his teachings and it is not the same very time. That makes going a new experience every time.

To those of you that went I can imagine that you have a whole new outlook on the subject for yourselves - not just because John and Sandy were the instructors, but because what they taught was what you needed to hear.

How were the others affected by the seminar? I would love to hear from each of you. So many attended. What a great turn out of "Friends".

Some day it will be my turn to meet all of you - hopefully it will be sooner than later:)

Blessings,

Irishrose

:musicnote The day played out like a symphony to our souls!
First, I have to say what a pleasure it was to meet all of the "friends" yesterday. It is so nice to be able to put a face to all of your names now. I didn't have an opportunity to meet all of you since I was unable to attend the dinner, but it was especially nice to see Gail, Valerie, Beth(Mnt2be), again since we attended the bridges seminar together.
What a treat to meet Pam (our very modest webmistress) and Angelina (the lady whose article inspired me to buy my ticket in the first place). I very much enjoyed my conversations with Philagilly (Sandra) and it was lovely sitting next to Tinkster and Qtncrazy.
The psychometry exercise was the best! I don't know the name of the woman who I was partnered with (if you are from this group please speak up!), but she gave me an amazing reading. I gave her my wedding ring and she wrote down the words: Transportation, hair and children.

She aplogized, saying that she knew how silly it sounded, but that the hair and children reference was somehow connected.

Well guys, this woman blew me away! The transportation issue was her picking up on my anxiety about my husband's flight home this morning from a family wedding. And the hair and children left me laughing uncontrollably!:lwink:

You see, my four year old son used a pair of child safe scissors and cut his hair for the SECOND time during Halloween week! I thought I would teach him a good lesson, so his punishment was that he had to go to school that whole week looking silly with his new "do" and suffer the natural consequences of people commenting on how silly his hair looked.

I suppose she picked up on my mother's guilt because by the end of the week, I felt terrible that I actually made him go through with it. THe good news is that now, he won't even THINK about cutting his own hair again!

And this woman picked up all this from my wedding ring!

When it was my turn to read her, i took a watch and closed my eyes. The first thing I saw was a flash of red. A clown followed, and then an image of a party. Finally I felt some sadness connected to the clown and party. I wrote all of this down, feeling very unsure of myself. i felt like i made things up just to have something to say.

The woman ended up validating everything after some thought! It seems that I picked up on a conversation she had with a friend the week before about how much they disliked clowns at parties. THey felt "sickened" by the way they painted their faces. It was the "sadness" in their faces that made them sick. The red reference was that she favored the color red. It was such an interesting exercise.

We all did a psychic meditation and many of the attendees had phenomenal experiences. There was one woman named Sylvia who has been a medium for eight years. She gave a great reading to a family (sorry i don't recall details) and even received the exact same reference to "ice skates" that John did. He said "Wow, this is so cool!" and ran across the room to finish the reading with Sylvia. The energy of the room that day was unbelievable.

Sorry if i am rambling -- just trying to get out thoughts as they come to me.

Believe it or not, my favorite part of the whole day was meeting and talking with Sandy Anastasi. I had a major sign thing happen again. You see, we did not know that she would be his guest speaker. The night before the workshop I was actually on her website and was about to email her to get some info. on the certificate program she offers for astrology. Right when i was about to email, my kids began to fight and I needed to shut off the computer. By the time everyone settled down for the night, i just wanted to get a good night's sleep myself.

Well, you can imagine my surprise when I saw her there! I told her what happened the night before and she looked at me saying "You see, there are no accidents." I guess I'm getting some major signs to study astrology. That is exactly what I plan on doing. And guys, I have to say, this woman is really a wonderful teacher -- you can tell ( and John has said this ) that her method of teaching is EXACTLY the same as John's. He urged everyone who wants to develp their abilities beyond the scope of his workshop to get in contact with Sandy's school. Her website, for those who are interested, is www.starchildbooks.com
Sandy mentioned however, that ever since John became famous she has had numerous requests to have her teach people to become as psychic as John. That's just not how this stuff works folks! (of course all of you on the board already understands this!)

John mentioned how valuable tools like the tarot cards, numerology and astrology are as psychic development aids. I have to agree with him on that. Studying these areas seem to open your intuitive side up enormously. Even he said that for the longest time he couldn't do a reading without tarot cards -- they were his crutch he claimed, until his good friend Shelly Peck told him "well it wasn't the cards that told you my father's name was Harry!" That was when he knew he didn't need them any longer.

There are a couple of negative aspects I have to report. Sorry for being the bad guy. John mentioned that he was particularly excited about doing this workshop because his schedule won't allow him to be doing any more in the near future (the next couple of years I think he said -- correct me someone if I am getting that part wrong). It made me especially grateful to have attended yesterday.

 Another interesting note is that, during lunch, I spent some time talking with people who were NOT members of this board to get there feeling on the workshop. It seems that everyone I talked to felt that they paid money to hear things that they already knew. THey had come to the workshop hoping for some new info. and material.
I wish I had an opportunity to see these people at the end of the workshop, because I have a feeling their opinions might have changed after spending the afternoon doing all of the meditations and exercises!

Overall, I think it was money well spent, especially when you consider that John gave all of us over $100 worth of his merchandise to take home. Lunch was included as well.

Well, that's all for now. It was a great day and I am so sorry I missed the dinner Pam and other friends. Perhaps we shall all meet again someday...

xoxo

Valerie and I just now got home and we will both do longer posts later. We both still have lingering colds with a cough that won't give up. Didn't stop us from having an absolutely wonderful, fantastic, chance of a liftime by attending the workshop.

We should gain quite a few new members because John publicly endorsed our site and Pam to the entire group as the place to join for descriptions of the workshop. He gave out the address.

Meeting people I have already met before and meeting people from here I hadn't met yet, especially our Pam, was so nice. I really tried to find those few of you I missed. The "Friends" were mostly all in the first few rows and the few non-friends in our area seemed mystified about us all knowing each other. :)

More later, my bags are still unpacked.

Sandi Anastasi unknowingly gave Valerie and I a big frog ADC which made our whole group turn around, laugh and look at us. :D

Oh, AmyRose... I'm so, so sorry to hear about your grandfather.
I'm sure he was there with you - watching you - and proud of you. If you were my granddaughter, I know I would be proud of you!!

As regards tomorrow... HAPPY BIRTHDAY - (and, coincidentally, tomorrow is my granddaughter's birthday also!!). And don't be nervous about your driver's test - remember to white light the car!!

Just got in from the airport...bags still packed. Glad to see some info about the workshop already posted. I'll post more later, but I wanted to add one tidbit that has not been posted yet.

John mentioned he was going to sit down for an interview with 20/20 on Monday. He didn't say when it would air - so keep a watch out. Even if they are skeptical, I hope they are at least respectful and don't put out any misinformation.

Lots of good insights and fun at the workshop. John was his usual entertaining self. I loved that Sandy Anastasi was there. I wondered who that was selling Sandy's stuff in the back of the room before the workshop started...and it was Sandy herself! She almost sold out of books and tapes even before she was introduced. She's a great teacher. I'd love to take some classes from her.

More later....MUST unpack.....

I just got home from N.Y. & I'm exhausted. I had a fabulous time, it was well worth it. I met up with several people from here. It's nice to have faces to go with the names. The meditations were very relaxing & I nearly nodded off on the last one.
During the psychometry exercise I took my partner's ring & was feeling largely unsuccessful however I did know that it was her 2nd wedding ring or not a wedding ring at all ( it was her 2nd wedding ring)....then my mind went to my checkbook & I mentally balanced it which I announced to those sitting near me. John overheard me & I proclaimed myself to be "metaphysically challenged". That seemed to amuse him. It was a very positive experience in that it has given me more room for awareness & a desire to research the subject matter more. Pam ( the other one)

So many of you are giving very good details of the workshop and I want to leave a lot of them for others to post. I will describe some of the personal highlights of the whole trip and experience here.

Valerie, (Daughtie), drove Mary Beth, (needs-a nap) and I to the workshop hotel on Friday. We made good time and had no traffic problems. Valerie and I were sharing a room and Mary Beth had her own room. We asked for adjoining rooms and the very nice people at the registration desk arranged it. They were on the 11th floor. We got into the elevator and couldn’t get it to go up there. The darn number 11 wouldn’t light up. :( Someone finally came over and said we had to use our card in a slot to get to the 11th floor. It was the floor with all the suites. Our rooms were not suites, just a little nicer than other rooms.

Just before 4pm we went down to the lobby to meet the “Friends” who wanted to go to dinner together. I gave out folders with a list of all the people going to everyone there. We had a great time chatting and taking pictures. Lots of pictures were taken so some should show up on here. Some people brought gifts for other members. Thank you so much to those of you who gave me gifts. A few frogs were among the gifts. :D

I had reserved a section in one restaurant for us all to eat dinner. We had more time to get acquainted or re-acquainted, since some of us had met before. A while after the dinner we were standing outside one restaurant, talking, when a woman came up to me and pointed out a place to eat. I told her we already had eaten and asked if she belonged to our site. She stuck out her hand and said, “Pam Blizzard, nice to meet you”. I yelled, “Pam!” and gave her a hug. Someone had pointed me out to her. Sneaky. :D She didn’t have the dark, straight hair I remembered from her Crossing Over appearance, it was lighter and curlier. I was so pleased to be able to meet and spend time with Pam. She is such a special lady. Later that evening, a group of us went up to our room to enjoy each other’s company.

Everyone got up early on Saturday morning and were in line before 7am. Most of our group were together in line and, when we were let in at 7:30, were able to sit in the first few rows. The room was the Ballroom. It was very wide but not deep since the Ballroom is made by opening walls between a row of smaller rooms to make the large room. One of those smaller rooms was where some of us attended the 9-11 Bridges seminar. Long tables with white tablecloths and chairs were set up in rows. Pitchers of water and glasses were on the tables every few feet. Outside the entrance doors, tables with various drinks were set up.

John casually walked in and up on the platform stage right at 9:30. Other people are describing the Workshop very well and I’ll just mention a few things. Valerie and Mary Beth have some good things to relate. I had to laugh when John was telling about his meditation tape being recorded. The technician doing the taping kept falling asleep and they had to keep starting it over. It made it difficult for John to complete the meditation.

John gave us a few “two minute” bathroom breaks at certain times. Have you ever seen a couple hundred women get to the bathroom together and back in two minutes? Maybe men, not women. We took over one of the men’s rooms. Lunch was a nice buffet. Another member and I went to the restaurant and reserved places for 30 people for dinner that night during the workshop lunch.

During the second half of the workshop, someone asked John if he ever heard of anyone having an alien as one of their guides. John did say it was possible. Although John can seldom see actual spirits anymore, his special guest, Sandy Anastasi can. She spoke up from the back and said she saw one. It was green and looked like a frog. She said “frog” again but I was so stunned and thrilled at that time, I didn’t hear the rest. Everyone in our group made little noises and looked at us. Frogs are huge ADC’s for Valerie and I and I can not list how many times they happen in very unusual circumstances. I certainly wasn’t expecting frogs to be mentioned at the workshop. I later had a chance to tell Sandy about it and made her laugh when I showed her my winged frog avatar on my folder.

The workshop was incredible. Many people attending had Medium abilities. John was asked, as I am sure he has been asked numerous times before, if he knew how bright his aura is. It was bright enough for most people to clearly see, going from white to yellow and changing in size. I noticed Sandy’s was the same when she came up on stage. It made me feel more confident that I’ve seen his aura at other times.

We had a large group for dinner and that’s when Pam gave out smudge kits to everyone, I was sitting near Heather from Canada, and teresa from England. We were laughing about them getting through customs with the kits. Pam assured them they wouldn’t have any trouble.

This is it for now. I can’t say strongly enough about what a wonderful experience the workshop was and how I would love to have some of the strong abilities many of the people there have.

OK, there are a lot of things not posted here. Namaste has somthing big. Looking forward to seeing more posts from the rest of you.

Love, Gail

I'd bet on it. Generally, I am not much of one for seeing auras, maybe a few times. But with John, it was so bright it was actually distracting! I don't think I heard anything he said the first five minutes because I kept thinking. "Holy Cow, LOOK at that!"

One of my favorite parts of the workshop was how often he stopped and took questions. It was very open and flexible, we covered a lot of issues that way.

I actually agree with some of the criticism, in that I think John may not realize how very well he is succeeding in educating people through his show and so, at a workshop like this, when he starts with things that are very basic, many may think he is wasting their time.

BUT, he really is so in tune with the feel of the room and the needs of the group, I think he adapted quickly to the kind of group he had there.

However, he needs to learn to look to the LEFT, too!

CAVing Carol

After the workshop and after all the goodie bags were handed out, I found an exhausted-looking Carol and gave her a big CAV hug from us all on this board. I remembered someone saying once they felt like hugging her so I figured, well, someone should!

She said she was sorry she didn't get to those questions yet, so she has not forgotten but I think John keeps her very busy. She said maybe January.

Well, now I have to go find all the e-mail addresses I was given and send them all links to this board!

It sounds like you all had such a special time . I would have loved to participate in a workshop like that. Maybe in a couple years when he has another one I may be able to make it.
Amy I am sorry to hear about your loss.

Hello (this is my first post),

I learned about this website at the workshop. I traveled from Wisconsin and met people from England, Ireland, and Michigan (lol). It seemed like so many people already knew each other, and I wondered how..now I know! Hopefully I will get to know some of you as well.

John mentioned using this site to post some of the messages we received during meditation. I think I got something so I wanted to pass this on- it was very quick. I saw a young girl with neck length dark brown hair, dark eyes, medium skin color - and an incredible smile - she came out of a revolving door. The name Carol was strong, so I'm not sure if the person I saw was Carol or related to a Carol. If she passed is was recently because her clothing looked like today's style. Black shirt, black longer sweater and dark blue jeans. She looked a little like Courtney Cox. Hope this means something for someone.

I've been a fan of JE since WPLJ Radio (through my mom in NJ). I watched his first Crossing Over show and was hooked. I have read all his books, and studied his tapes. My brother passed away in 2001, and I have been on a spiritual quest ever since. I can't tell you how many books I've read on this subject. After meeting Sandy, I'd like to travel to Fla. to study in her weekend seminars -- has anyone tried this.

I arrived home early (about 8:30pm) on Friday night after our pre-workshop dinner. I wanted to let everyone on the board know that all of the friend’s members had arrived safely and how happy I was to meet them. Well, we had some pretty bad winds on Thursday and Friday and apparently a tree fell on the cable wire that connects me to the outside world via the internet. I couldn’t get on-line all weekend and I wasn’t a happy camper! I guess even the computer geek has her limitations!

I was happy to see all the posts about the workshop and how well described the day was. You girls got it all down!

I had the best time meeting everyone from the board and I have to tell you, everyone remained true to form. You are all as nice in person as you are on the board. So much happened in (what seemed to be) such a short period of time. From Friday night to Saturday evening the time went by so quickly that I didn’t get the time I wanted to spend with you guys on an individual level. Although my new buddies Phigalilly, Svmaxx and I went for a ride around Long Island after dinner on Friday and had a blast kinda looking at nothing. I think we were just so thrilled to be talking in person that the scenery didn’t matter.

Then there was Saturday morning. Tinkster and I had plans to meet at 6:15 when apparently Tink’s navigation system in her car was trying to get her to avoid that deadline. The poor hick (I say that with the utmost affection) from NH was stuck in a not too nice neighborhood in Da Bronx. After a quick scramble I found her in a gas station and we made our way back to Queens and then made it to Long Island by about 7:30. When we walked in the door all the board members were at the front of a VERY long line. We hugged everyone and said our hellos and happily got sucked into the front of the line. Thanks to all the friends who made that possible.

I’m not going to go into too much detail about the workshop because everyone’s got it pretty well covered. When we got into the workshop room, Tinkster and I were lucky enough to sit in the second row center right in front. With my bad vision, I was so happy to be less then 10 feet from John. The whole experience was incredible.

Theophilia hit the nail on the head!
He had this bright white light outlining his whole body. Most of us saw it and when someone asked him if he knew it was there, he stuttered and finally said “Yes” he’s been told many times. That experience was what will stand out in my mind the most. I’ve never seen such a thing and I kept finding myself not listening to what he was saying because I was in such awe of this light.

There is so much more I know I’m forgetting to write but I’m sure someone will come along and jog my memory. I really wanted to share some pictures and forgive me but my camera was misbehaving so not all of them came out. Here are the few that weren’t blurry, enjoy!
It looks like Yahoo is currently having a problem with their server so the pictures aren't currently veiwable but the will be soon so check back later.

Welcome, MsEss. It looks like a lot of people took down the address John gave out. He read it from Pam's site card and people going directly to that address (www.JohnEdwardTalk) miss Pam's amazing, information filled Home Page. Try starting out at WWW.JohnEdwardFriends.org first and a link on that page will take you to the message board.

As soon as I could that evening, I went into the computer access room at the hotel to give my fellow moderators, taking care of the site while the rest of us were at the workshop, a head's up about John referring people to here. We keep getting new members from the workshop. People joining us here become a member of a huge extended family.

There are a set of guidelines about posting on here that all new members should read. Our site is not a John Edward fan site but a site about the message he conveys to everyone.

Our site can be confusing to navigate but we do have a place to go for help, making everyone an expert at getting around and seeing what they want to without becoming lost. Here is a link to that place.

Our Forum Guide (http://www.johnedwardtalk.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=996)

Looking forward to seeing you and all other new members on here often.

Gail :)

I just wanted to say quickly that it was beyond AWESOME and I will post every detail tonight. I did not get back to WI until late last night and I have to work today, but I promise I will post.

A big thank you to Beth for the cookies and wonderful bag holder for tables, Gail and Valarie for the pen, journal and wondeful jasmine spray, and to Pam for the smudge kit and for well you know Pam everything else.

I am so much that I am grateful for that day and for the people that I had the honor to experience it with. I will post every last detail ASAP.

I think I am the elbow to the left of Sandangel and Daughtie (middle row left):D
I must say the whole experience was totally awesome; from the strangers & 'Friends' I met on the way & at the workshop to the pre-dinner, post dinner, lunch/visits to/from/on the elevator and in the lobby and cruising the island afterward.
John was great and having Sandy as backup was phenomenal. I enjoyed the interaction between them and his willingness to be supportive and to act as 'go-fer' with the mike. I am not good with aura colors but he and Sandy were displacing such a volume of space around them it was hard to miss. I was getting dizzy when John would move quickly and the aura appeared to be trying to catch up with him...kinda like the blur you see in pictures behind a runner.
For me the whole thing was about being in a totally safe supportive social environment with like-minded people coming from a loving place...no judgemental or critical negative vibes.
I did get some comments from 'professionals' in the crowd about how basic it was but I said it was more an introductory format for everyone...and that I was there more to see him 'live' to enjoy the energy dynamic we don't get watching the tv.
This is getting long..I will post more later when I can regroup and organize my thoughts.

OK, I’m not sure if you guys read my post after the Wallingford seminar and the “priceless” comment I made about Tinkster’s close call. Anyhow, I’ve got another one about the Workshop. Being that Gail already posted about it, I hope she won’t mind if I interject my “priceless” two cents. Here goes:

Tickets to the JE Workshop in Long Island $500

Dinner with the “Friends” $20

Seeing the look on Gail’s face after she says to the woman in front of her, “What’s your screen name, dear” and the woman answering, PAM!......PRICELESS!!!:lwink:

Thanks for the chuckle Gail. Don’t feel bad, I don’t think anyone recognized her.

I took a step backward and almost fell over when she said "I'm Pam Blizzard"...I said "I know you...I saw you on TV! I can't believe I did not recognize you!" Pretty lame but it shook me up.
Apparently, changing her hair was enough to throw several of us off. She was fabulous and finally getting to meet and visit with her was one of the major highlites of my trip. She was wonderful. All the birthdays, including Pam's, added a festive element above and beyond the actual event...altho she gave a few presents of her own...(Thank you Pam for the wonderful little kit...I burned the incense in the shell in my room that evening with a few leaves of one of the mystery herbs and no one from housekeeping asked me what I was smoking :D)
Having the site (and the birthday) acknowledged by John was special...someone suggested giving the address so non-member attendees could post their experience to the site and Sandy could also post the astrology stuff which got cut for lack of time ...he said he was hoping Carol would suggest it (how cool it that!)

OK, OK you are all correct, NO ONE recognized Pam so I am amending my "priceless" 2 cents to reflect just that.

chargeit2him- thank you for your condolences. i really appreciate it. you are so thoughtful.

tomorrow is the wake and the following day is the funeral. now i have to come to reality because for the past few days it seems as if ive been living in a dream. its been a year of losses for me. i think its been a total of 5 family members that have passed this year and the work john does gives me so much comfort.

on a happier note..tinkster--I PASSED MY DRIVERS TEST! you dont know how happy that made me! i think the sea salting the car really did work and before i got in i did some meditations and white lighted my car and said what john said about "encircle this car with the universal white light..." and of course i asked my loved ones to be with me and i could feel they were with me. but im so glad i passed. so much stress relieved! so it really was a happy birthday for me.

i love hearing about everyones expereinces! im sorry i didnt get to meet more of you!! talk to you guys soon.

Thanks for doing this, Esther, I wanted to post mine also, just in case. I got a slender young man, maybe late twenties/early thirties, with very dark hair. He was squatting and doing something and he turned and looked over at me and smiled. I believe this is a picture someone has. Then, I jumped. It was very wierd, feeling like I am sitting on something, like a ledge or a windowsill, maybe a bannister? I could feel it under me, then, I jump off.

I know what you mean about coming and meeting people from all over. I came from Denver, met all the people around me from different states and countries. Then, a woman sat down next to me in the last vacant seat in our row. She was from..... ready? DENVER.

No such thing as coincidence.

Speaking of not recognizing people...

Last week on CO, which I missed because I was already on the road, there was a show that featured follow-ups, one with a woman named Peggy. It was about soul-mates, I think. Anyway, Peggy, whose original reading I saw long ago, had lost her fiance.

She sat in front of me at the workshop! But, I didn't recognize her because she looked so wonderful! The show I saw her on, she looked so sad and lost, like she was a faded black and white photograph. Now, she is all full of life. I thought that alone was such a testament to what John's work and message is and what a gift we all have gotten in understanding through his teaching. What delightful person she is, BTW.

I'll just add in little bits of the workshop as I remember them. My notebook had very little written in it because I just wanted to watch and listen.

The big meditation was the one when John guided us through building our psychic room. He made it so easy to do it with his hyptnotic guidence. This same meditation is on one of his tapes and cd. The difference in the meditation at the workshop is you also build an alcove in the room where you can meet someone from the other side.

I never saw anyone but felt waves of love falling down and heard "I love you" in my mind. Many people saw someone that they didn't recognize. Sometimes several people saw the same person and received messages from that person to pass on. John was able to find the matches, one was with needs-a-nap and someone on John's far left. I will let someone else who did take notes describe the young man who came through.

The person coming through was connected to a woman in the workshop. Another woman, also on John's far left, was also a psychic medium. She stood up and had numerous messages for the family of the young man. She was giving out message after message, but as soon as she said something, John gave her a loud buzzer sound...aaaaaaannnnnnhhhh!! :) Instead of stating each message just as she received it, she put it in a question form such as Do you?, Are you?, Is there?, Does this make any? He finally got her to say just what she was seeing or feeling without the question before it. She was very good and her reading was understood by the people it was for.

Anyone else from here who was at the workshop, please fill in details as you remember them.

We know there were a lot of Mediums at the workshop but we need to follow our present guidelines on people admitting it on this site. Our sister site, www.SpiritDiscovery.com does allow people to openly admit they are mediums and allows discussions on the many wonderful, fascinating subjects we don't allow here. Our webmaster here, Pam Blizzard, is also the creator and webmaster at Spirit Discovery.

I just wanted to thank you all for your incredible kindness. You all have such big hearts, and so full of love. Thanks especially to everyone who brought me such wonderful birthday gifts. I was incredibly moved, and want you all to know how much I appreciate you and was honored to spend a wonderful day with you. I wish we could all get together more often. Hopefully we'll all meet up again at the retreat.

Know that you are all in my heart and thoughts every day and it was so great to meet you in person to confirm what I've known all along - you are angels walking the earth.

Sending you all my love,
Sarah

Sarah - have you heard anything else about the retreat?

Came back to my house 4 hours ago and my bridges mag was waiting for me - haven't read it yet!

It actually hurt when I had to say goodbye to Long Island last night. I feel like part of me has been left behind - does that sound stupid?

I want to get to the retreat wherever it is! I would LOVE to meet John again, but also want to meet the "Friends" again, too.

Before the workshop, we had such a big discussion on photos etc. Like I promised I never took a single shot until the workshop was over....... Pam said that I wouldn't need a photo to remind me of that day and - oh my life, was she right!

I feel like we should have :tshirt:'s printed with "I've been White Lighted by John Edward". (He told us that he White Lighted the whole room before we began, if you remember!!)

The whole experience has left such a deep imprint - I can't believe it.

Well, I'm so tired, must get to unpacking the cases.......

I'm so thankful that I had the chance to meet you all and to find this site.

Talk to you soon!

I agree with LADreamer, I wish we could get together more often. I really enjoyed meeting and seeing some of you again just as much as the workshop. Our group made quite an impression on people. One woman thought we were all old friends and was surprised when I told her we all came from different countries and states and some of us were meeting for the first time. She said we seemed like one big happy family and I told her, "We are!" :D

In terms of the workshop, there's not much I can add since you guys have done a terrific job accurately describing what happened  Oh, actually I just remembered that right before John lead us into the 1st meditation, he strongly recommended Shirley MacLaine's tape, "Inner Workout".

The psychometry exercise blew my mind. I heard so many stories of people coming up with information that was later validated by someone they didn't know. I even surprised myself when Tinkster validated the name "Molly" because I was so convinced that name came from my imagination. Anyways, that experience gave me a boost of confidence in my psychic abilities and it taught me not to dismiss the subtle messages I receive just because they don't make any sense to me.

Sandy Anastasi was also great. It was such an honor to be taught by the "original master". It's too bad she never got to her astrology forecasts. I could've listened to her all day.

After the workshop, John signed my book and I thanked him for coming up to Canada. He smiled and said, "See, I told you guys I was coming!"

Then for dinner I joined everyone for Pam's b-day. Pam, thank you for the smudge kit. Beth, thanks for mailing my smudge kit and saving me from having to explain what it is at customs :lwink: Also, thanks to Terry for the 3 angels. Sandra, thanks for the tarot card reading (I'll keep you posted on that "future pregnancy" :lwink: ) and the ride to the airport. :)

Another "Coincidence!!"

I have read Johns other books but purposely left What if God was the Sun to that I could read it on the plane for the workshop.

Thursday 13th November - Around half way through our trip, I guy I now know as John, pops his head from behind my hubbys chair and says "Are you going to the workshop on Saturday?" My jaw dropped!! Out of 298 remaining seats on that plane, a fellow JE workshop attendee sat in the ONLY seat that would have visibilty of my book! If I hadn't have saved that book, John would not have seen me reading it and we wouldn't have met.

England isn't a big place, and during the workshop a new friend, Lisa, recognised a man and a woman had "My Accent!" I turned around and spoke to them - they live around 30 miles away from me!

Skeptic hubby is now not so skeptic! He's just as pleased to meet everyone I was. Also - he's read his first John Edward book - he started to read What If God were the Sun while we were waiting for our cab in the hotel and finished it while we were on the train back from Heathrow!

The other 3 are ready for him!!

I have been trying to put my finger on the feeling I have since the workshop.

What keeps popping into my head is something that happened years ago. When we were in our 30's(a long time ago)John(my husband) and I were involved in Marriage Encounter and went to a big convention weekend at St John's University in New York.,probably not far from where we were this weekend.

We came away with an excited feeling, but more than that a sureness about who we were with a closeness to each other and to God. We met people from all over who felt like we did and were committed to it.

John was there with me this weekend but did not attend the workshop. He has heard all about it though and when i told him of my feeling from so long ago , he could relate immediately.

One of the highlights of the day was the Psychometry lesson and our psychic room meditation. The young man in front of me and myself were sure we wouldn't be able to do it. We were pleasantly surprised.

He went first ,held my watch, and wrote down a couple of things. They were religious, nun and 3. I told him I came from a very religious family, had a sister a nun and was one of 3.

Then it was my turn. i held his hand and wrote down what came to mind. We both had put down single words. My first 2 words were paper and money. He just started a business involving paper and that money would be changing hands. There was a little more but those were the biggies.

John said that the purpose of this exercise is to show us how we get our information.

When we did the psychic room meditation I saw a family member. Then John asked how many people saw someone they did not know. He told them to ask around their area . My friend in front of me turned around and asked me if I knew a Kathryn. I said I had an Aunt Kathryn that had passed. then he spelled it KATHRYN and I said -exactly right!!

I am disappointed that I did not see John or Sandy's aura.In fact I never even thought of it. I wonder how many people did see it .

I also talked to Peggy from Nashville.I had just seen her on a follow up the day before leaving and she was great. She was very nice in person.

It was a great day!!!

Peg

I just have to tell you all that reading all the great posts about the experience brings back memories of the workshop from April of '02 and pangs of longing from wishing to be a part of this one. It just sounds like so much fun was had by all!
Thanks so much to everyone for sharing their special day with those of us who weren't able to be there. It's appreciated more than you can ever know.
Great pictures; are there more?

:laff2: I'll be waiting to hear the good news!! The caaards never liiieee.....:baby: LOL

I had such a great time meeting everyone the trip would have been worth it even if I didn't have a ticket to the workshop...but, I am REALLY glad I went to the workshop! :lwink:

I rented a car and on Friday night me, SVMAXX (Terri), and qtncrazy (Chris) drove around Uniondale. Uniondale is not much fun on its own but with such good company it was a great time! Both SVMAXX and qtncrazy had really amazing ADC stories I hope they don't forget to post. Uncle Harry and Dad are calling you guys.

The workshop was FANTASTIC! A lot of what was covered in the morning was information that's in John's "Developing Your Psychic Powers" set. He took some questions and several people who asked questions had interesting stories about paranormal activity in their homes and things like that. JE and Sandy Anastasi talked about "energy imprints" lingering that aren't necessarily spirit and (I didn't write this down so if someone can correct me if I get the name wrong that would be great) Kinetic Mediumship (?) Sandy thought that the wife of a man who asked a question about seeing apparitions in his home was a Kinetic Medium. The wife was not at the workshop.

One thing John talked about that really resonated with me was the idea of "divided attention." Someone asked him a question about being able to get things when they weren't trying, but getting absolutely nothing if they tried to focus on what might be coming through. This is my experience BIG time. He said she probably needed to have a tool like Tarot or Numerology or something to divide her attention and give her conscious mind something to focus on. Psychometry would probably not be something she would take to easily. Then he talked about being able to stay with two converstions, one that he was participating in and one that was happening near by that he was just listening to, and moving easily from one to the other. I do that a lot and don't really think about it, but my friends do comment on it sometimes. Hearing him talk about this gave me some hope because I really don't get anything at all if I look for it. Later, I totally bombed out in the psychometry exercise....big fat ZERO. Oh well.

I loved watching the woman who thought she had no ability at all connect with two different families! He brought her to the stage after she said she didn't get anything during the meditation and had her stand up there with her back to the audience doing some deep breathing to get relaxed while he took some questions. Then he had her start by pointing to exactly where she "wasn't" getting a pull, and she ended up connecting with two families. It was amazing to watch!

It was great to have the opportunity to say thank you to John for doing the workshop when he signed my book, but he didn't say anything so I don't know that he actually heard me.

Sunday morning I hit the road with Heather C., SVMAXX, and Irene99. Unfortunately, Heather had an early flight so after we dropped her off at the airport the rest off us spent a few hours driving around beautiful Long Island. Coming from another state, I always had the impression that New York is very industrial everywhere except upstate, but it isn't at all. Long Island is beautiful!

We dropped Terri off at La Guardia (I hit both major airports!) and Irene99 and I had a nice lunch before heading to different terminals at JFK.

It was a wonderful week and one of the best moments was walking into the lobby of the hotel on Friday night and seeing Pam sitting in a chair right in front of me. It was so much fun to meet you face to face!!! I'm so glad I had the chance to give you a hug and thank you in person. I'm sure we'll meet again someday.

Love to everyone!
Sandra:)

There was a woman sitting to John's right that was doing a great job of translating into sign language everything John said. John loudly snapped his finger one time and had a startled look when she did it too. :D

This is exactly my experience! I thought the questions were a very good part of the workshop because so many of us must have similar experiences. I also got nothing at all during the psychometry.

Well, let's both be encouraged! After all, if we have been getting stuff when we aren't even trying think how well we will hear when we learn to get out of our own (and the Other Side's) way!

Guess I'll go check out the Tarot section of my local bookstore!

It is so nice to read about everyone’s experiences, and to see all the pictures from the workshop. After 7 months of anticipation, I couldn't go. I had the ticket, I was almost all packed, but on Thursday morning I had a medical emergency. I received a call that my youngest son had an accident. It was not life threatening, but he had to undergo tests, an MRI, and various visits to different doctors. He is neurologically impaired, and does not speak, so we had to rely on the input of third parties as to how he was injured. I had to be with him at this time, I couldn’t leave him. Another visit to the doctor today, and he is almost back to himself. A big bump on the head, a great big black eye, but sweet and lovable as always. So - I will read all your reports, and enjoy looking at all your pictures. I am framing my ticket, as a reminder that "I ALMOST WENT TO THE WORKSHOP!" ;)

Pegasus, I’m so sorry you missed the workshop but even more importantly, I’m glad your son is doing better. Hopefully you will have another opportunity to meet the JEFriends and to see John do his work.

Just an addition to what happened at the workshop. Please if I forget something or tell it wrong, someone step in and correct me.

John told a funny story about how when he gets on an airplane that he white lights himself the passengers and the entire plane itself for a safe trip. He said that one time he had gotten on a plane with some psychic peers, one of whom he affectionately nick named “Aunt Clara” from the old TV show Bewitched. She tried her hardest but every spell she cast came out wrong. Well, while on the plane all the psychics were busy white lighting the people and then plane when “Aunt Clara” said out loud “I’m done”. One of the psychics said “What do you mean you’re done” to which “Aunt Clara” said “I’ve wrapped everyone on the plane in white gauze and then wrapped the entire plane in white gauze, so I’m done”. The other psychics turned and looked at her and said “CANCEL! CANCEL! CANCEL THAT!!!” Apparently “Aunt Clara” was at it again! The whole room rumbled with laughter.

Theo .... thanks for the reply. To find yourself sitting next to someone from the same town you live in (Denver) is fun. I just love those experiences. Coincidently, I too met people from Denver. Husband and wife, her name was Deb. Was this you? We had lunch together.

I have these experiences all the time... most memorable was my ski trip to Vail (CO) last year. I kept meeting people from New Jersey (where I lived most of my life) ...and then I met someone from the town I live in now (Wausau, Wisconsin). I was there with a couple of friends from Wausau and we didn't believe him, so he took off his jacket and sweater to reveal a T-shirt with the name of the business he owns -in Wausau.

Funny....this happened in near Denver...hmmmmm I wonder about those psychic vibrations in the Denver area.

Ok where to start, so many cool things happen I will try to keep in all straight for you guys.

I arrived in NY on Friday the 14th in the morning after my flight was delayed because of the high winds. I spent the day with my girlfriend and then came back to my hotel to find that my bag had been stolen from the belmans cart. I did not find this out until after 8pm. I have to say I held it together with out screaming and remembering that I was healthy and safe and that it was material possesions alone that I had lost. The hotel really took care of me above and beyond. They sent a bulter named Papa to my room to get me some cloths. I said to him" what is going to be open at this hour" his response was "it is not a problem mame, just tell me where you know your size at and what color you want and it will be taken care of" And it was an hour later he came back with an outfit, pj's personal items etc. The hotel which is the Plaza, I stayed there because it was my bday that day, really went above and beyond. I was distraught at first because I had shopped for all my cloths for my NY trip and they were all gone, but I think that I remember what is life is really important and received so many wonderful experiences that night and the next day at the seminar that I could not even focus on the bag being gone.

So onto the workshop, I got to meet Sarah, LaDreamer early early sat morning, we met to take the train to LI together. She is just the most wonderful person, I felt like I have know her for years. I was great to be able to spend the day with her.

We arrived at the hotel and we saw mnt2be Beth right away she came up to us in line. I think Beth was my sister or mother in another life, she just has that warm face :) Once we went inside we saw two chairs with our names on them and a gift bag from Beth, which had homemade cookies in them, which I ate all the way home :)

Ok onto the actual seminar, after going to the bathroom ten times before it started, I did not want to have to miss a thing. John walked in, very calm and collected and talked a lot about how this class was not ment to be one that we became experts and could hang a sign outside a door saying taught by John Edward doing readings now . I think he really wanted to get this point accross as he told many stories about meeting people that said they met his teacher. He stated that Sandy, Shelly and Lydia would be the only people he would even put near that category.

I saw in other post about him discussing EGO, which I thought was so great and he could not emphaisze it enough. Even throughout the day people would ask a question, one lady about bening able to touch someone and know their disease and how to tell them. John kept saying get your ego out of it and talked to her about how to deliver the message. I got the message loud and clear and I think it was for everyone not just people doing readings!!!

He could not stress enough that we should all being Meditating, Smudging and protecting ouselves daily with the "universal divine white light" This was not a suggestion he said, this was a must. He said to smudge our houses at least once a year, at least!!!!

JE said that we need to put this protection on ourselves so that we do not pick up other peoples energy dumps and that we will pick up on other peoples pysical pain as well as their moods.

This happened a little later during the chachra medidation but he talked about how if you are going throught the colors during a meditation and one color is cloudy that may mean that you have to work on the area, or if you can not see that color. Someone correct me if I am stating this wrong.

I actually saw my first auroa, sooooooo coooool. The lady sittying next to me, who happend to be from the midwest as well :) Says "Tara what color do you see around Sandy, she said to squint my eyes and look at her" So I did and I grabbed her leg and said " I do see a color...green" She said "ya so do I" So very very cool I have to tell you.

So I may be skipping around here a bit, but the next thing I remember is the part when I held Beths ring, and I got NOTHING. I think I learned what John feels like when he can not read for someone, I felt so bad.

Then later on we did the mediation with the " " (I forgot the word) room. But I did not get anything here except a little nap. :) I have johns tapes at home and I have to work very hard not to fall asleep. He said that he hears that a lot. I think he said that it took 15 hours to do his last tape because the guy taping kept falling asleep. I thought it was so funny how JE used the word FREEKEN.

So John brought us out of the medidation and stated asking if people had anything that was just like " wow" I do not remember details from others, but there was som pretty amazing stuff. I was listening to Callyally and Jen who were sitting next to me, because they were both describing my step grandmother, who was really the only grandmother I had known. Jen earlier had gotton her name and that she was involved in music, (along with my aunts name, my daughter sign, etc..) So then I think one of them rasied their hand or JE noticed the three of us talking and then a mic was there and they were stating everything

They described my grandmother, I will be posting a photo, Stout, red hair I think she said short and curly, with classes. Then Alley said the letter D, my dads name is Dean. Then she got a J name and I said my husbands name is Jeff, she said that is the name she got. Then all the sudden John jumped in and looked at me and said " and someone just lost a baby" That is when my heart sank, my jaw dropped and the tears came" I could not believe it, yet I could. He jumped right into the reading and picked up on the loss of my baby. Which I just posted a thread on recently. So I lost it and put my face in my hands and I really do not know what he said after that. If anyone does please let me know.
All I know is I felt Pams hand on my back, Beth was getting tissue, Sarah was rubbing my back and I was so glad that I had posted that thread when I did because they could all support me and know why I lost it and they could know that JE validated that for me

So even though that was the biggest moment of the day for me, then entire experience was outstanding and I would not have traded it for a million dollars.

JE talks about how you sit around people you have things in common with. I was sitting was a lot of people from this group, but I ended up right next to a girl from the midwest who is going to come teach some yogo classes in WI and then next to her was Alleycally or callyally ? whose son was in a film that my uncle worked on and she has photos of her son with my uncle. So wonderful stuff!!!

I think that is it for now. I will look at my notes again and post more.

Once last note, what I thought was hysterical is that John gave us a quick bathroom brake and then we all came back and he get on the mic and says "Carol, can you tell the smokers to get back in here, but in a funny JE way"

I really hope that JE follows his passions for teaching and does more of these and gets more and more indepth!!

Tara,
I love that you feel I was your mom or sister in a past life. I have three sons now and have always wanted a daughter! and I feel a connection/closeness to you too:)

You did a great job posting the "workshop experience"! Everyone has! I don't think there could be much that we've left out.

Pegasus214, I am so sorry you missed the workshop but I'm very happy your son is back to himself.
Love, Beth

When Sandy had us sing our note and John did not want to do it...we harrassed him to and he said "Noooo" at which point Sandy said he had given us his note and to sing it back to him so we all sang "Noooo"

Pegasus -

I'm simply echoing what qtncrazy said.

As disappointed as you must have been, staying home with your son was the thing to do. And I'm so-o-o glad he is alright and there were no serious consequences as a result of his accident.

I'll keep you and your son in mind tonight when I do my meditation.

Deb was the one who sat down next to me, her husband is Gary, right? Lovely people, I thought.

We have a lot of spiritual stuff around here, the Naropa Institute is in Boulder, they have been teaching psychic healing and such things for, oh, must be thirty years now. We don't just have a psychic store in Denver, we have a whole strip of them. John always seems to have a bad time here, though, I never figured out why.

Hi Namaste,

I remember you, I was sitting two or three rows back just to the left of you. I got choked up, when I heard you say that you lost a baby.

I've never had children (never been pregnant either), so I've never experience that "connection" to a child. But I actually think I picked up your pain in that instant. I was trying not to burst into tears.

I'm in Wisconsin too....just curious what part you are from and where the Yoga is being taught?

Namaste

I just got out of the shower and HAD to come back and add to my post. This is too funny and coincidental.

When John gave you that quick reading, I was also thinking "oh she's the one I noticed before". But I couldn't remember why I noticed you.

So in the shower I was thinking, hmm maybe because she's from WI, I picked up on that and hmmm have I seen her before somewhere? I kept racking my brain trying to remember why you stood out. But to no avail, it wasn't clicking.

Then I started thinking about what you said about your clothes being stolen, and the hotel picking out something for you. And then it hit me!!

I too went shopping for an outfit for the workshop (any reason is good enough for me  ) I WAS going to wear a pair of black pants with a cream ribbed sweater and a small scarf tied around my neck - I know, I know-- snazzy.:lwink:

But when I put the sweater on that morning, it had a stain or something on the front of it. I was bummed and had to find a second choice in my suitcase. Thankfully I pack for these emergencies!!

So, I chose....Black pants, white turtle neck and a grey sweater. Sound familiar?? I noticed you, because you had on almost the same outfit! :seuss: It's funny because we both went through similar issues with clothes and wound up wearing almost the same outfit.

Anyway, I thought it was a funny coincidence and wanted to share it. Have a good day!
