Here's a fun poll to find out what path all of our fine friends out there took to get to our doorstep. Pick the one that best applies.

Mine is one of the "Other" votes. Our source was the writeup in the "Washington Post" of John Edward which included great comments from Pam. Yeah, Pam!

I found the other forum after wading through hundreds of poorly written gibberish at another site. This post was special. The poster seemed to have intelligence, taste and tact. She said in four lines what it took me forever to try to get across. I knew this was someone I could get along with. :)

The post was made by none other than my dear websister Pam :)

The first time I ever touched a computer (this past March), the
guy I bought it from was going to give me a lesson. He asked
what I wanted to search. Without hesitation I said John Edward.
I was immediately drawn to Pams site. And she hasn't been able to get me to leave yet.

I landed here via internet search. I actually landed in skeptic forums somewhere first, quickly retreated, and finally landed here. And Pam hasn't been able to get rid of me yet either! In fact now I'm kind of addicted to "feeling the love" the surrounds this site.

There's a community in town here called the "Twelve Tribes", they have a shoe shop and a couple other businesses. In a nutshell they lead a simple life, no TV, no media, etc.... I have good friends within that community and we speak often of the world around them, and I'm very vocal in speaking up against those who find fault with their way of life, and they've had their share of controversy surrounding them. The weird thing is that whenever I step foot on any of their properties and enter their homes - a peacefullness and calm comes over me. There's singing, laughter, prayers and hugs and they consider themselves one big family and by extension now I'm part of their family too they say.

It's the same thing here just in cyberspace. So wonderful to have a safe haven to dock the boat after travelling rough seas.

I voted last week, but never posted. (I'm shy :D )
But I found you through a search engine (Dogpile - yeah I know; unfortunate name but good returns) And I've been here ever since! (ok - a whole week now - but time is relative). Since landing here I have found other sites (following all the links to articles and critiques and transcripts in a manic frenzy for MORE! MORE!) but this is HOME!!
So this and JE's site are the only two I visit and BOY oh BOY do I look forward to a seminar in my half of the country (or anywhere - I'm flexable) where I can meet up with some of you in line!! I have just loved the posts here about the others. I know my time will come but it sure is taking a while. (ok - I've only known they've existed for 3 weeks but it is still taking a while ...)
So, greetings to all :) and today is a BIG day - my JE books are due to arrive this afternoon (UPS rescheduled from yesterday). I really do feel that my patience is being tested ...

You're not too far off, Kena. Sometimes I think this site found me too! :p I'm glad it did- the only other board I attempted to be civil with told me skeptics weren't allowed. Fortunately someone there decided to help my nagging beliefs out, made a new board for me to visit, and now I grow a little more each time I read from all of you. I'm so glad I found you guys. On one of our cable stations here in Australia I just happened to come across JE's show one day and once I got used to how fast he can talk I was hooked. I have only been 'on the net' for a couple of months and was looking at the stations website and they had a discussion page going on the subject of 'I wonder if John Edwards will ever come to Australia'. It sounds like he is getting quite a fan base over here. Anyway someone mentioned this site and I could wait to check it out! Thank you for your warm welcome!! I look forward to many hours of sharing and joy!! Love to all..

Hi Everyone,
I found you through Delphi. There is another forum on Delphi which I check out. It's one set up by people who used to live in the same town I grew up in.
Anyway, I simply typed in John Edward in their search box and there you were. Thank goodness. As I said before, I may not post often, but I do enjoy and get a lot of comfort just by reading others posts.
Thanks for being here.

hi,
I was channel surfing and came across crossing over. Watch it all the time now. Saw john's web address in his book. Had a look at his web pages, followed links and found this one. I recently tried to follow links back here, I didn't bookmark it!
Strangely, there was no links back to here, the way i came had vanished. Did a search and finally got back. I had a look at other forums but just had to come back to this one.

I don't recall how I found this site...rather I believe it found me.

While generally a lurker, the common bonds of community amongst the members is what keeps me coming back.

I believe because I have experienced and in that I find hope.

Hey Don.
Is there anyway that when people register, we could have a question like how did you find us?
I handed out 12 website cards to a variety of people at the New Haven seminar. I would love to know if I helped them get here.
I know three other people I invited, registered since New Haven, but they were friends and family that I have been trying to get here forever . It wasn't until I told them about New Haven and the picture of me on the Net :lwink: that they finally showed up.
Love you all and boy do we make a great family.

The group has one hosted chat on Sunday at 9 PM EST.

Members may chat whenever they wish. We encourage you to make use of one of the unlisted rooms however, for your privacy. There are some people who do come in and harass our members ( we call em trolls ) and being in an unlisted room would be best.

If you do get a troll, please write down their nickname and report it to a moderator.

After an internet search for John Edward I ended up at the Delphi site. I know I was a lurker at first. I recall some postings with weird graphics: dancing ladies for Jesus or something like that. That worried me a little, but after reading all the wonderful posts, I felt so at home. People here finally thought like I did, I was no longer alone in my beliefs.
I know there are many other sites pertaining to ADC and metaphysics, but this site is "the place to be" for me when I get a chance to get online.
Thanks to Pam and all the wonderful moderators who keep this site positive and friendly.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I found you long ago before the changed format, however for some reason I could never get logged on. It was a much more controversial site -- there were some very angry and cynical folks out there at the time.

But I am so totally hooked on JE that I keep coming back to this site to see what's new. Thank you, Pam, for making this such a warm and welcoming place. Somehow, even though it sounds trite, one can tell friendly souls from angry ones, and this site is just "Home"! I also have more spare time in the summer, as I am a teacher, and most of my time during the school year is spent tending to my darlings. But now that I know you are here, I plan on settiing aside time as often as I possibly can to find love and acceptance. Thank you.

I found this site through a search after watching the show for a couple weeks, and developing a desperate need to find all the information I could about JE and the whole concept. However, it took me a while to get the nerve to join in. I am just so illiterate when it comes to the Internet. :square: I am fumbling my way around the site. Hope I don't make too many blunders. I don't have the Internet at home, so I have to tap in through the machine at the office(after hours and with my boss' permission of course). It really limits my ability to spend as much time as I would like. I am so pleased with the feeling I have encountered here. Even though a lot of the time I am lurking in the background.

Hi everyone,

I think Don and I watched Crossing Over and then started searching around the internet. Found Je's site, and I think from there we ended up on Delphi for awhile. Then we made the move to the mansion. I guess my name fits. I flit from place to place. This is "Home" now. Getting to old to flit.

Every once in awhile I go out and explore, and wish I hadn't. Lot o' nasty business out there.

Bottom line, Pam. You are absolutely stuck with us!!! Are you still smiling Pam???

I know I'm going to sound incredibly stupid, but what is "delphi"? I use the internet for teaching tools, e-mail, etc., but this whole discussion thing is really new to me. So there are other places? I hear lots of laughter out there wondering if I'm for real, but I'm dazed and confused (and also, ironically, a blond!).

What you often hear us refer to as "Delphi" was once a sort of universal forum site. You name the topic (and I ain't kidding) they had a forum for ya. It's where this forum started. I'll be nice and just say that for various reasons Delphi eventually faultered, tried to regroup under a different name and are now daisey dirt.

I found this wonderful site while searching for anything related to John Edward. I have been taping his show for a long time.. at 5 pm, then I watch again at 11 pm. I have read Crossing Over and One Last Time and also Schwartz' Afterlife Experiments.. as well as a lot of other books.

As I was looking for MORE I came across this site.

The fact is, that I have been spending less time at a site I moderate in order to be here and read, read and read some more.:rainbow: :rainbow2:

Someone posted a song somewhere, I can't remember where...

You can actually hear Josh singing...
Stop and listen for a while...

http://www.johnedwardtalk.org/media/towhereyouare.mp3

Artist: Josh Groban
Album: Josh Groban
Song: To Where You Are

Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration

Can it be(?)
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for a while
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

My path to JEFriends...

A little over a week ago, in the midst of my Mom's four-week-plus bout of poor health, I needed some "distraction with purpose".

A long-time believer in the other side and viewer of Crossing Over, I googled John Edward and surfed into this site. From the opening page onward, I felt peaceful and "at home".

The comaraderie and compassion here found are... :handofgod

To all those responsible for this site, I thank you.

I voted in the "other" catergory today. I was attending my first JE seminar and out of the crowd of people a lady came up to me before the show started, and asked if I was with the "Friends of JE" group. I said no, but what is that?? She gave me only a brief explanation, but it was enough to have me check you guys out!

I found this site after a generic search on the internet. Of course, I found all the debunking sites first. I tried to keep an open mind and see what they had to say. I was surprised at how easily their own reasons behind their own debunking could be - debunked, but I digress. I found a couple other "fan" sites, but when I hit here - I knew I had found a place for me and my beliefs to fit in. Thanks to the founder(s) and thanks to the members who make this a great place to visit with like minds.

Guilty as charged!!!!

You may expect a couple more, Pam!! (Sorry, I love it here and can't help introducing more people to our family!)

I mailed a couple of Ebayers that were buying and selling JE stuff - just to tell them about the petition. Anyway, a couple of emails later I find out that one of them is going to Australia to see John and the other has a Mum and Sister who are huge fans too!

How I found your wonderful site!

Warm Greetings to all! This is my first post as I have been waiting for the "right" time to involve myself. This site is addicting...but I have limited computer time available to play.

My story:

My son was flipping the channels, and saw a pay-per-view opportunity on Direct tv for John Edward Live!! Dec 7,2003. All subscribers to the live call in opportunity would get a free signed copy of "Afterlife", John's lastest book. Of course I called!!! It was $24.95 to watch, and I wanted to hold a signed book!! On Dec. 8th (monday, I called and asked questions about When it was, and nobody knew anything about it...couldn't help me at all except to put the show thru. It came on, but turned out to be a recording of the Live call in show done the day before. It was fantastic!! I watched it over and over for 24 hours straight!! The fact that I was watching a re-run of the day before show upset me as I had no chance to call in, but $24.95 for a signed book was worth it!! Only....I called back explaining they were selling a "live" show after the fact, and people might not be as nice as me about it....I'd pay the $24.95 AS LONG AS I GET MY SIGNED BOOK!! Guess what! They have no record of me ever calling to get the show, no $24.95 charge on my account, and that they had no clue about any "free signed book" that was offered. Bummer!!! At the end of the show, John introduced Suzane Northrop briefly, and her words re "Everything Happens For a Reason" and that life isn't about the money gripped me. So, a month later, I reconnected to the internet and went to her website Theseance.com. The forum was talking about John Edward's show being cancelled, and they offered up your website to sign the petition-which I did immediately! And here I am, constantly checking the petition growth and reading all the wonderful comments!!

I did go to the library in my small town and walked right to the book "Afterlife", put my hand on it, and Church Bells rang!! I swear!!! I drove home, feeling blessed and joyous and relieved of how the book did come to me! Then 5 minutes later, the mailman delivers my last late birthday box...which included a gift from my Sister-in-law...it was Suzane's book-Everything Happens for a reason.

I was looking up "grief" and somehow I found myself at JE's petition. I was very sad to hear he was going off the air, which I didn't know because I am not an all-the-time watcher, but I am a believer in his work, and that of Sylvia Browne. I have found his work very helpful and not only that, reasonable. Not only for me, but also for others I have talked with. While I don't push John's beliefs on anyone, many seem to be comforted by what he has to say. Just tonight, on our local Colorado news, there was the story of a woman who was lost off the trail in a snowmobiling accident on our Western Slope. She waited hours for help, but she was hidden, and her cries could not be heard where she was. But a little boy was riding the trail on the back of his Father's snowmobile, and suddenly he saw a golden-haired little girl (this just happened yesterday) standing in the trail, wearing a blue jacket, waving, and screaming for help. The boy pounded on his Father's back and made him turn around to where he had seen the little girl, but she had vanished. Just then they heard the woman's weak cries for help. Her back had been broken as her snowmobile left the traile and crashed into a tree and down a ravine several hours before, and she had given up all hope of survival as the sun began to go down. The boy and his Father were the last snowmobile to go by. The woman was, of course saved. The little girl had disappeared; there were no tracks indicating she had ever been there whatsoever. But later they heard that a child fitting her description had been killed in a similar snowmobiling accident in the same vicinity quite a few years before. This is the kind of story that lets me know that "Something" is out there. In a similar way, so does JE. In this world of sorrow and loss, we need to know that this is not "all there is" and JE helps so many know this. I feel that he is not here at this time by accident. That was me!! I was so taken aback by that story! I used to live in Glenwood Springs, right against those very woods (well, pretty much!) so I was struck that such a "supernatural" thing could happen near my old stomping grounds, to a little boy, to enable him to save this woman who would never, ever have been discovered (the snowmobile engines were maing too much noise so her feeble cries could not possibly be heard down in this ravine and she was hidden from view.) She came on TV and told the story, and they interviewed the little boy, and his Father, too. The Father didn't see the phantom little girl--just the little boy did. Amazing! But, of course, in JE and Sylvia's worlds, this stuff goes on all around us, at all times, every day! Cheers, Wendy :daisy:

Nice to hear from you, all the way in the UK! : )

Actually there's Leah and kymmudd who have posted a few times. There are a number of others who are members, but they've not posted. Eyebelieve, Jongib, Kaydoyle, Lana, Lizzy, LouAngel, Nellie989, Stacy, and Strummer. You could try and email them, if their profile allows it. Perhaps you'll luck out and there's one in your neighborhood.
