Thanks to Laura for pointing me to this thread!
I had completely forgotten about this thread, until Laura reminded me when I told her about my dream from the other night!
Background: I had given a reading to a woman from Chicago the day of this dream. That night, I had this dream, and I knew in the dream that I was in the same woman’s home to give her family a reading:
This is just a part of a very vivid dream:
I wasn’t getting anything, wasn’t getting anything and was very frustrated with myself that I could not give them anything meaningful in the reading.
Then all of a sudden I said the name “Oscar” and the woman said “that’s my grandfather, he’s crossed over!” and she was overjoyed, that I was giving her a message from her grandfather in spirit. She was so happy, she was jumping up and down.
Then the strangest thing happened (still dreaming) that I can STILL FEEL now when I’m awake. I felt arms come from behind me and HUG me, like they were growing around me like a plant. At first I thought it was creepy and then they felt warm and loving, and they arms stayed around me. I thanked “Oscar”.
I looked behind me, and there was a wall of pictures of family behind me, lots of pictures. To the bottom right of me, near the corner of the wall was a picture of Oscar but it was moving (ala the Harry Potter movies where the characters in the paintings come alive and move and speak) and he was sitting at a table, drinking from a glass, laughing, looking up at someone else and I knew the other man’s name was “Clyde”. There were others at the table too, like older men who sit and drink together. The men were laughing and all having a great time.
Even now that I’m awake I can physically feel that hug, and I can still see the men, drinking and laughing.
Here’s the weird part. I emailed the woman that I gave that first reading to, and asked her if she had an Oscar or Clyde. Two of her relatives are named Clyde! I then emailed her the whole dream and I’m waiting to hear if any of the other details (not included here) have any meaning for her. What an experience!

That is SO cool, Pam! And yes, when you said looking at the photos was like looking at the “Harry Potter moving photos” I instantly recognized what you meant because thats how it was in my dream also.
And funny how it came up today because for about the past week just before I wake up in the morning (you know that in-between state) I’ve been seeing lots and lots of faces (just faces) of people I don’t recognize…one after the other. They all look very happy so its cool. But who are they? LOL…
Oh! And that warm hug feeling I can totally relate to that too. If I’m pulling cards for someone sometimes I see a person (in my minds eye) and I get that feeling. Once I’ve described who I’m seeing and I say “Gee…were they a warm bear hug kind of person?” Invariably thats the case.
Sometimes I get a hug but it feels distant like it encircles but its several inches from me, that person wasn’t a touchy feely person but feels like they are sending affection.

Pam, that’s great! :thumbsup:Laura wrote:…just before I wake up in the morning (you know that in-between state) I’ve been seeing lots and lots of faces (just faces) of people I don’t recognize…one after the other.
Someone I know has had this happening lately, too. What’s your take on this? :hmm:August 22, 2007 at 3:05 pm #119798Jude;136401 wrote:Someone I know has had this happening lately, too. What’s your take on this? :hmm:
 Honestly, I don’t know, Jude. Wish I did! :hearts:
Pam? Any thoughts?August 22, 2007 at 3:09 pm #119800Pam BKeymaster
Wihtout more context no…because there are so many different types of dreams (visits/precog/working psychological stuff out from the subconsious/etc) I have nothing to add here :)
I’ve never had a dream like that myself.August 22, 2007 at 3:54 pm #119805
Holy cow! Something just struck me as funny as I was re-reading my first post in the thread. Not to get so off the topic but…
I do paranormal investigating. Its something I started doing about a year ago and I joined a group in New Hampshire. Now I don’t fully understand everything and I’m learning as I go along. And I make a very conscious effort to stay grounded with it all. (Not only with investigating but with the classes I take, etc. ) We use EMF meters (which read electomagnetic fields) and digital voice recorders (to record possible EVPs).
One night recently I went out with another investigator to a home of someone who had contacted the group. (There were some photos taken there with some weird lights and stuff. After looking at the photos I was able to explain what caused them based on streetlights outside, reflections, etc.) However…
After a while we decided to use our meters and voice recorder. Took some base readings and just talked for about an hour while recording and metering. The other investigator was holding the meter and while I was talking I noticed something strange. Now I don’t normally see auras very much. When I do see them it takes me by surprise. But I saw her aura and it was getting brighter especially around her arm and the hand she was holding the meter with. Then I saw a bluish orbish looking thing take form around the meter and then the lights went crazy on the meter.
 Yeah…I know…Weird.
If the meter hadn’t lit up like a Christmas tree at that moment I would have rubbed my eyes and said, “Ok! Time to go to bed!” But everyone saw the meter spike. And I then I told them I saw something bluish manifest just before it registered something.
To make a long story longer…:o …I had seen that bluish orbish thing before. I was in a group reading (8 people) with a medium. I was sitting to the left of the medium and he was reading a man directly across from him. I was looking at the medium and I noticed a bluish orbish looking thing form near his head and gradually move forward just a bit and dissipate. I blinked thinking I had something in my eyes. Then he told the man he was reading that he could see a face superimposed over his face. A man’s face who kind of looked like him but it wasn’t him. Coincidence? Maybe…who knows…
Now back to the investigation…While this was going on, we were voice recording. I told the other investigator what I saw and we got into a conversation about that. She kind of got angry (in a good-natured way…you have to know her…lol) and said something like “Darn! I wish I could see! I wish I could lights!” Well on playback with the voice recorder (Pam has heard this recording) you hear us talking and then someone else clearly says “I SEE HER” and it wasn’t us!
Yeah I know…long story. But I thought of that after reading my dream post again. Funny, aye?August 22, 2007 at 5:18 pm #119808JeannieParticipant
Pam and Laura, WOW! Thanks for sharing your experiences. I had forgotten about this thread. I have spent the last couple days pondering a dream.
I sometimes have very vivid dreams. The scary part is that some of them come true.
Some are visits, some are predictive, some are messages. They are always VERY vivid, very detailed and I remember them in detail.
About 3 nites ago I had a very vivid and disturbing dream, it woke me up and I had to write it down in my journal. My dream involved a plane crash and the passengers were all children under the age of six. I gave the details of the dream to someone I know. There was technical information in the dream that I could not have known. I hope that this one is not predictive. Bill, thought that it was symbolic. I am not sure.
As most of you know, I work at nite and sleep during the day. Some nights if I’ve slept all day, I have trouble going to sleep at night. Also, I have trouble finding a place and time to meditate in my house, so I wait until everyone goes to bed. I am wide awake. I don’t want to disturb anyone else and I use the quiet and privacy to listen to my meditation CDs with my headphones. They often help me relax so I can go to sleep. This particular night, I think that I drifted off into a light sleep state before I “powered down” (I was listening to JH’s “Opening Your Psychic Awareness” – which I really love).
