March 23, 2007 at 12:45 am #66880Healthy Transformations Chat will be postponed until Thursday, April 5th.
We will be revamping the poll for new topics and I will continue to post some articles in the mean time. Please keep an eye out for new information!Sorry for the late notice on this but life has reared it’s beautiful, lovely, and ever challenging head and I will be taking a short hiatus from the weekly chats for some much needed “me” time.
I look forward to seeing you again on the 5th!

There ya go!! I guess it just took that little nudge to get you to follow your inner guidance. Take some “Lori” time — you’re not moderating the Healthful Transformations Forum for nothing!:hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:March 23, 2007 at 9:00 pm #117148JeannieParticipant:love: :hearts: Lori:hearts:
This was the quote at the top of the page when I started this post.
Peace starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us.

Okay… this is too cool…. So I decided to take a break from the HT chat for a few days, right? That’s what started this… and got the oracle card from colette that is posted below….
“Take time for yourself first today.”
Then this happens last night and today.
My best friend Kel came over for dinner last night and we got to talking … (she has been my best friend since we were about 5) She has been going through a rough spot in her life right now and although I won’t bore you with the details it has been tough for her and she is making some BIG changes in her life right now.
I suggested she go see a doctor and go to counseling and she was able to “stop the damn from breaking” at that point which was really good! Then I gave her a copy of “The Secret” from Spiritual Cinema. The change in her has been AMAZING! She has compeletly changed the direction of her life! … any way…
We got to talking and she told me her counselor was going to be doing a class on the secret and wanted to know if I wanted to go… of course I said “yes!”. She told me the name of her counselor and I realized… holy $#%^& – it’s the same lady I went to when Mike had his stroke 6 years ago.
If that wasn’t cool enough I asked her well… where is it? She said I don’t know… some church in the area and told me to google her name and arlington and it would come up. I did and I thought… hmmmm this looks familiar… it didn’t click quite click yet but I realized this was one of the churches I was looking at online when I first began my journey after my mother died. I didn’t think much of it then when (My mom died) and then decided to go to a church where I knew people.
Then I met with John Edward further down the road after discussing my experience with the minister… he didn’t approve and I got burned. I didn’t go back and didn’t think another thing about chuch.
Anyway… so now I am looking at this site but this time I am looking at it through new eyes… as I browsed through the sight and one thing after another jumped out at me..words like – SANSKRIT – PRANIC- MEDITATION-HEALING TOUCH – SPIRITUAL CINEMA!
How could I have missed this the first time I looked at? OMG!!! I have been looking and looking and looking and looking for a chuch that would embrace some of all of the new information I have been blessed with recieving and it has been under my nose the entire time! It is less than three miles from my house! Kel told me she would go with me if I wanted her to and I told her I needed to think about it.
I couldn’t stop thinking about it I was so excited. I couldn’t sleep last night and meditated on it and asked for a sign if this was the right direction or not…
When I woke up this morning… the first thing I “heard” this morning upon waking was the word ” Namaste”. I thought… okay… weird but allright… I have heard the word but didn’t really know alot about it other than the brief menitions of it in some of the metaphysical books I have browsed through… so I looked it up and it means “I salute the potential to become a God that lies within you”. That is the literal Hindi translation I believe… TOO COOL!
I go about my day thinking about it and mulling things over and several hours later – I ask for another sign… because I need to be hit over the head with a brick as you know…. and I pulled a grace card while I was eating lunch – asking if this is the right path? Should I explore this church? The card I pulled was :
INVOKE – “Ask for a Blessing. There is endless supply of Divine support awaiting your request.”
AND… because I really need to be hit over the head to get it:
I was walking through the department store and it was playing some kind of barfy pop teen music on the overhead as I was walking through the junior department. I called Kel back on my cell (are you proud of me Carolyn… walking… not driving on the cell :laff: ) and told her I decided I wanted to go to services tommorow and would she go with me. She said she would love to and we hung up. At that INSTANT – the pop teeny bopper music quit playing and the speakers crackled like the channel was being changed and I hear this playing….
“I want to Thank you, Thank you….”
I lost it… right there… in front of everybody… started laughing and said.. OKAY i GET IT…. I SAID I WAS GOING!
I will let you know how it goes. ((((((friends)))))))April 6, 2007 at 12:18 am #117571It is with much regret that I have to tell you that I will no longer be able to do the weekly HT Chats. I had hoped to be able to continue as of this week but my work situation is not going to allow me to continue.
I have enjoyed doing this so much and want to say thank you to everyone that participated. I also want to give Carolyn a big hug and a kiss for being there every week to help me out. (((((CAROLYN))))) I learned so much just from doing it and I hope that you did as well. I will continue to post things periodically and hope that you will too.

Sister, I know how work gets in the way sometimes, but we started feeding our kids when they were born and dog-gone if they didn’t get used to it. LOL. Because of my job, I missed most of your HT Chats, but the ones I got to attend or read the transcripts were so good. I really enjoyed them and learned so much. Thank you for doing them. I am sure that we all understand your needs though. :hearts:
Big hugs to you. :love:April 6, 2007 at 5:19 pm #117594Paula MaeParticipant

Lori, thank you so much for helping to birth this forum. You HAVE done SO MUCH to provide interesting and useful information that will contribute to our healthy physical selves.
Thank you for being brave enough to harmonize your own life. Just another step towards healthy physical existence is knowing when to pull out of time consuming things like this.
Bravo to you, for choosing your life’s priorities. Again we can all learn from you! :dance:April 6, 2007 at 11:39 pm #117605
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and support! It means a lot to me! I will still be around to post. etc. but I just need to take some time to regroup and take care of myself.
Work has been so stressful that it is taking a toll on me physically and after going to the doctor and learning my bp was high even AFTER losing 30 lbs… was kind of an eye opener…
I haven’t been taking the time to do the things I have learned and that I know will make my life better. It made me realize that I have to practice what I preach otherwise everything I have learned will mean nothing.
I realize now that this journey that I started on more than 10 months ago is just the beginning of a never ending path and that I will be forever changing and growing as I walk down it.
I am so blessed that I have people like you to walk with me. :hearts:
