“Just because everything is different, doesn’t mean that everything has changed.

When you believe in life after death, goodbye is always temporary.

    Pam B

Quotes from Pinocchio (1940): Jiminy Cricket: What does an actor want with a conscience anyway?

Pinocchio: Father, what are you crying for?
    Geppetto: Because you’re dead, Pinocchio.
    Pinocchio: No! No, I’m not.
Geppetto: Yes. Yes, you are. Lie down.

    picks up Jiminy
    Jiminy Cricket: Put me down!
Pinocchio: He’s my conscience. He tells me what’s right and wrong.
Lampwick: What? You mean to tell me you take orders from a grasshopper?
    Jiminy Cricket: “Grasshopper”?

Jiminy Cricket: You buttered your bread. Now sleep in it!

The Blue Fairy: Now, remember, Pinocchio, be a good boy. And always let your conscience be your guide.

The Blue Fairy: A lie keeps growing and growing until it’s as plain as the nose on your face.

We see with our eyes. We know with our hearts. Outside … Inside. Cantus Fraggle

For those who believe in God, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe in God, no explanation is possible.”

    ~ The Song of Bernadette

My Grandma was a woman of immense inner strength. She lived thorough the Great Depression, worked full time and raised 5 children. She had a whole bunch of little quotes she used to use all the time. Among her favorites:

    “In simplicity lies charm”

“To HAVE a friend, you’ve got to BE a friend”
*sigh*…as I get older I really appreciate her wisdom more :hearts:

Sometimes, all it takes for some great wisdom is to listen to a smart butt section leader…

“Keep your eyes on the stars. Your feet on the ground. And a roll of DUCT TAPE by your side.”

“There’s nothing in the world that can’t be fixed with either sex, chocolate, or duct tape.”

    Megan A.
2000 IUP Legend Clarinet Section Leader

    Sound wisdom, no?

“It’s not so much that we’re afraid of change.. or so in love with the old ways.. but it’s that place in between that we fear . . . . it’s like being between trapezes. It’s linus when his blanket is in the dryer.
There’s nothing to hold on to.”

I’m not sure who that is by—my cousin had said that to me. I find this quote to be really profound.

On the subject of positive thinking and speaking, it’s not enough to simply refrain from being negative. Instead, we should strive to be positive in what we think and say.

I thought this (below) was a powerful statement. I’m not sure if Osteen should get the credit, but I hadn’t seen it anywhere else before.

“You can change your world by changing your words”

    ~ Joel Osteen ~

YOU GET MORE FLIES WITH HONEY THAN YOU DO WITH VINEGAR:laff2: I always loved that quote from my Grandma Shirley (so this is a shout out to her on the other side) And to let her know I finally get it:angel:

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. ~Mahatma Gandhi

This is just a quote in general that I like….People are either wind in your sails or an anchor on your tail. Joe Charbonneau

    What about:
“When life hands you a lemon, demand a Corona to go with it.” :D

-“Don’t take anyone’s behavior personally, and you’ll be much better off.”
