It was just announced that Dr. Phil will be going on in John’s time slot, (syndicated) as of Sept. 16. 3 p.m. CBS, Mon – Fri. Does anyone know where John will be?

Hi Pegasus, I hope you don’t mind, but I edited the title of your post to add “in New Jersey” — I wouldn’t want to start a panic that Crossing Over was going off the air in syndication, for everyone, for those who don’t have cable. It’s very likely the change is just for your viewing area.
I would suggest calling the station, or searching on tvguide.com for your zip code, to see if it’s simply been moved to another time slot.August 5, 2002 at 8:26 pm #78810
It looks like New Jersey TVGuide is still showing JE on at 3pm for an hour. Keep an eye on it as the date gets closer; they’re sure to have an update.August 5, 2002 at 8:31 pm #78811
Yep, I checked the TV Guide, too, and it shows that CO is is on broadcast TV (non cable) on two different stations each day:
Mon 19 3:00 PM Crossing Over with John Edward 2 WCBS
Mon 19 3:30 PM Crossing Over with John Edward 2 WCBS
Mon 19 4:00 PM Crossing Over with John Edward 8 WTNH
But this only goes through August 19 -they didn’t show up to Sept 16, when pegasus says the change will take place. Maybe if it does go off CBS, it will still be on WTNH?
I’m finding it hard to believe that it’s going off CBS completly though…I thought they had a special connection to CBS in NYC…. :shrug:August 5, 2002 at 9:55 pm #78813
I get CBS Channel 2 (New York) & Channel 3 CBS (Connecticut). Also, ABC is Channel 8, (WTNH) Connecticut. Channel 3 does not carry CO.
John has been on New York CBS Channel 2 at 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and also
Connecticut ABC Channel 8 at 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday shows the same program that was on CBS at 3.August 6, 2002 at 2:29 am #78818

Thanks Pam, Sorry, I was so annoyed, I didn’t think! I will keep looking for updates on when and where he will be in my area. They just started advertising the day and time of the “other show”, so maybe they will follow it with a new schedule.August 6, 2002 at 3:30 am #78820
maybe we should all write dr. phil & tell him we have a problem…. :lwink:August 6, 2002 at 5:21 pm #78833
If it looks like Crossing Over’s spot on CBS is changing in your area, try UPN. Both CBS and UPN are owned by Viacom. For some stupid reason CBS chose to put this Dr. Phil on in Crossing Over’s spot in my area (Dallas/Ft.Worth) and Crossing Over is moving to UPN 21 from 12-1pm on September 16.

Thanks AuntJeannie, we appreciate the tip :thumbsup:August 6, 2002 at 11:18 pm #78839
I went to the CBS site, clicked on their feedback form and very politely asked them “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, nothing against Dr Phil, but putting him in Crossing Over’s time slot? Bad move.” Let’s all write and tell them how we feel.August 7, 2002 at 1:17 am #78842
In my neck of the woods John has to get up earlier than usual. On August 26 he is moving from 11 a.m. to 9 a.m. Ah, change! What would we do without it??? L-E-T M-E C-O-U-N-T T-H-E W-A-Y-S – (oh sorry, I was I yelling?)August 8, 2002 at 12:04 pm #78863
Here in southern Maine, Crossing Over has moved to our UPN station. I’m rather pleased, it means we’ll get both episodes instead of one. SheilaAugust 8, 2002 at 1:24 pm #78864
As far as I can tell, Crossing Over will remain on Houston’s UPN station, UPN 20, where it has been since it went into syndication.
It airs from 9am-10am CDT each day, at least through Aug. 25. Don’t know if they have any plans for time-slot changes after that.August 9, 2002 at 12:28 am #78881
Angels Mailroom ..You are way too funny
I almost passed out when I read this until I realized it was not CT….
TV stations will jungle shows around but I hope for NJ’s sake they find a place for the process to shine thru tv sets.

 Guess what, Forgiveness….
Dr. Phil will be on Channel 2 (N.Y.) taking over CO’s 3:00 time slot. We’ll still get him on WTNH (Channel 8) at 4:00 though.
(((( /)))) Angel Hugs….
