Well, John’s going to have a very lovely and very long Jupiter Transit in the 9th house and that wonderful stellium already discussed, beginning Jan 23/24, 2007 and continuing through April 6, 2007 (when Jupiter goes Rx) revisiting the 8th house from June 26 – September 18, 2007 when it re-enters his ninth house and stays there until January 2/3, 2008.

Well, Jupiter transiting the 9th house, leaving aside for the moment the planets therein, is a time when success, prosperity and happiness are likely outcomes. Also this is a time while there could be the birth of a child. It’s a good time for long distance travel, going back to college, or even studying on your own. Understanding is the rule of the transit. The Jupiter’s transit of the Ninth house is a journey of discovery — broad discovery.

Now for those planets: The first planet Jupiter will send its energy to will be Venus. At this time John will feel quite sociable, romantic and enjoy leisurely activities. Since Venus rules Libra and Taurus, Libran and Taurean energies will also be activated. He will seek balance, harmony, justice and equality (Libra) as well as having increased perseverance and sensuality (Taurus). The 7th house of Partnerships will also be activated (Libra’s house). Jupiter’s expansive energy to Venus to the 7th house may mean a romantic partnership may be in the works at this time (or rather these times since Jupiter will hit Venus 3 times during this transit). Other partnerships involving leisurely activities (hockey, anyone?:laff2: , okay maybe not) may also benefit. Jupiter will also be sending, through Venus, his expansive energy to the 2nd house (Taurus on the cusp) of self-worth, money, possessions and basic values. So this transit could bring for John some bucks, a greater sense of his self-worth, or a nice new couch (:laff2: ).

    Whew! More in a moment.

11th H Jupiter in Aquarius square 7th H Neptune in Scorpio. 11th H (Hopes, wishes, dreams, friendships, groups) Jupiter (higher learning, Long distance travel, faith, luck, optimism…and remember it rules the 9th{which is packed!} and 12th houses) in Aquarius ( humanitarian, visionary.) Natural ruler Uranus is in the 6th house of service to mankind.

7th H ( Partnerships, contracts, agreements, marriage) Neptune ( dreams, illusions, abstract thought, the mysterious)in Scorpio ( Intuitive, determined, complex).

Now the square between these two planets (they both rule both Sagittarius and Pisces!!….both altruistic signs) tells me that John has an intense desire to make manifest the hopes and dreams of humanity. His relationships are inspired by a profound need to connect on an ethereal level. Jupiter being a benefic lessens the harshness of this aspect so the positive energy is more accessible. The intensity of this contact reiterates his ability to tap into information from other realms. Neptune and Jupiter are both Visionary Planets with far reaching consequences.

I just do not see this square as a monumental problem but rather a blessing in disguise.

I hope that I interpreted this correctly and if I did not please set me straight.:D

    Thanks!

Next planet up for the Jupiter transit: Mars. Mars gets only 1 hit (December 6/7, 2007) during this transit and it will be a time when John could experience increased libido (hey he started it!). Seriously, all of his physical energy (including sex drive) and stamina (are you laughing?) will be at high levels. A positive “can do” attitude can be the rule of the transit. The courage to begin something new will be easily tapped into. John may begin a new physical regimen at this time. (I know, those of you at the workshop are still laughing … stop! This is serious!:clap:See, he’s doing jumping jacks.;) ) Jupiter will also bring its expansive energy to Aires qualities. (I promise I’ll type this with a straight face.) Aries represents male fertility, agression and courage. So, John may be more fertile, courageous and agressive during this transit. This is where an understanding of personal astrology can be of benefit, in channeling one’s own astrologic energies to good effect.

Since Aries is on the Ascendant, Jupiter’s expansive energy will also activate John’s ability to project who he wants to be seen as (self-image). It will also help him take initiative.

Since natal Mars is trine natal Uranus, Jupiter’s expansive nature will expand on this relationship as well. This is a time period during which John will feel enthusiastic about life and there will be a hint of drama (the unexpected) happening. He’ll have lots of energy to pursue his goals, but needs to watch out for impatience. He’ll be inclined to be an exciting and fun lover and will be inclined to bring variety and experimentation  into the bedroom. Along with this, he’ll bring an inexhaustible amount of energy (I swear I’m not making this up!). This is a time John can be dynamic and impulsive. The key here is to be individualistic and inspiring without adding too much danger to the mix. With Uranus in hard-working Virgo, all that inexhaustible energy can be put to good effect. And the Virgo quality of discrimination should help to keep the unexpectedness of Uranus from becoming dangerous.

    More coming up …

Next planet up during the transit: “Here comes the Sun …”

This hit will be on December 12/13, 2007, following closely on the heels of the transit of Mars, which will still be strongly influenced by Jupiter. This is a time period when John will be feeling more confident, vital ( ) and optimistic about the future. This is a good time to take advantage of that confidence and optimism and engage in self-promotion. This is a “new-you” transit resulting in a more confident and faithful person. A great time to start long-term projects and it is okay to make reasonable investments.

Since the Sun rules Leo, Leonine qualities will also be expanded. This will be a time of strong leadership for John. It is a period when he can become more self-aware, self-conscious and humble. And since his North Node is in Leo, this may be the time when John truly becomes the person he is meant to be. Since Leo is ruling the 6th house in his chart, his sixth house principles will also be expanded. His service to others, his environment at work, his health, his pets and his aptitudes are all subject to Jupiter’s energy. This would be a good time to begin a new health regimen, adopt a new pet or paint the walls in his office. Self-improvement is also in order during this period.

The last planet during Juipter’s transit of the 9th house is Mercury. Mercury is in Capricorn. Mercury rules all things regarding communication, electronics (hmm… perhaps a good time to begin a new TV show, I-Cast, or e-book?) Mercury is also all about thinking. This Jupiter transit will allow John to see the big picture. It is a great time to learn and grown intellectually … learning should become a by-word (and remember we’re already in the 9th house, so learning should be easy). He may feel mentally restless, but that just means that there’s more to learn. One caution with this transit is to make sure there’s no leaving out the details just because there’s an understanding of the big picture. Capricorn’s taskmaster qualities should be a big boost in that regard. Capricorn will help John keep his feet on the ground;) (or near the toilet while he cleans it, I suppose) and doing things that are worthwile.

Since Mercury rules Virgo and Gemini, we’ll look there next. Virgo is intercepted in the 6th house, but Pluto is there, so Pluto’s transforming energy will be a part of the Jupiter/Mercury mix. Those worthwile things John works on will be absolutely transforming. Gemini is on the cusp of the 3rd house of communication (writing & speaking), short trips, siblings, foreign languages, and neighbors. Gemini will lend this transit even greater ability to communicate, perhaps learn a new language and enhance John’s relationships with his siblings and neighbors. While the 9th house rules long trips, Gemini rules short trips and so it appears that there is a lot of travel available to John during this period, perhaps longer travel earlier in the transit and shorter travel later.

And since Natal Mercury is trining (you guessed it) Natal Uranus, we’ll have some more wonderful happenings during this transit. This is one of the most positive aspects anyone can have. Jupiter trining Natal Uranus means John is almost guaranteed to have major improvements in his life during this time. Career breakthroughs and problem-solving skills are enhanced during this transit! John should expect insights, improved solutions and new ways to approach things. These can be seen for both his 9th house and his 6th house endeavors. (If he’s fallen off the nonsmoking wagon, this will be a tremondous opportunity to hop back on with great results!)

There is the matter of the transiting Jupiter’s opposition to the Natal moon during this period as well. It would be a good time to reach out and clear up any childhood and family hurts. It may not be easy, but this transit will increase the chances of receptivity on the part of those John reaches out to.

    More later …

Jupiter’s next stop: The MC – The midheaven represents reputation and career.

This is a great time for John to use common sense and practicality. Recognition is the order of the day. And since it’s in hard-working (slow but sure-footed) Capricorn, it’s a good time for John to step out of his current career situation and into a bigger and better one … especially if he feels his current situation is too limiting. (Ah, that expansive Jupiter.)

Backing up to those two Aries points that come up just before the MC. The Sun at 29 degrees Saggittarius and Mercury at 1 degree Capricorn … wow! Expanding an already very beneficient astrological placement may be truly life-altering for John. The Sun on an AP lends the potential for public projection to become well-known and with Jupiter’s beneficient and expansive nature, well, let’s just say that I’d be willing to put money on this happening during this transit. The Mercury AP means Jupiter will expand John’s potential for public projection via communication, writing, intellectual talents and travel.

Anybody else seeing any major themes here? And I really didn’t do all the ninth house energies justice. But travel, communication, sex, relationships, work, career, health, travel, learning, all come up again and again. And keep in mind all the 9th house attributes concerned with philosophy, religion, and spirituality will continue to be woven into these themes throughout this period.

Next year is potentially a really big year for John … lots of expansive, beneficient energy triggering a lot of really positive, life-altering possibilities for him.

And I’m not so sure I did this transit justice! :P

    (((Carolyn))) –

Are you talking about his Jupiter transit???

I should wait for Maria…but I think what you wrote about John’s transits was phenomenal!

I am sorry I am going to have to miss the chat but look forward to reading the transcript.

Great job everyone!:hearts: Fascinating how we have learned to bring the charts to life…and there’s lots more to learn! ;)

Thanks again to Maria for being an incredible and patient (really, Maria? :laff2: ) teacher!

I’m off to read about “The Aries Point”!

But I just woke up (4:20 am my time) remembering why I didn’t do it justice!

TRANSITING PLUTO WILL BE IN SAGGITTARIUS LENDING HIS TRANFORMING POWERS TO JUPITER … Change is not only possible but will be downright impossible to avoid! AND Transiting Saturn will be trining transiting Jupiter (and transiting Pluto … and the 9th house Natal planets) and/or squaring transiting Jupiter (and Pluto … and the 9th house Natal planets) during much of this transit. And since Saturn will be transiting first Leo then Virgo in the 6th, throw in more of the Leonine energy and 6th house throughout the transit as well as 10th house reputation and career (Saturn rules his 10th) – don’t forget that Capricorn energy! – AND throw in structure, discipline and hard work (Saturn) in varying manifestestations as well.

So forget that I said this:

Next year is potentially a really big year for John … lots of expansive, beneficient energy triggering a lot of really positive, life-altering possibilities for him.

    And substitute this:
If John doesn’t make things happen next year, things will happen to John!:D

I’m sorry I won’t be able to make the chat tonight but here are some of my thoughts on John’s chart. You can see why he is such an amazing and gifted teacher! We were all blessed to be in his presence and to learn from him! :hearts:

Let me start with the basics of his chart. If you just look at signs and houses, you learn an awful lot about John.

His identity and self-concept (Sun), his soul expression (Venus) AND his energy, drive and passion (Mars) are in believing (Sag) in his faith, philosophy, religion and higher mind pursuits (9th house). Wow! And then also see that his mindset and communications (Mercury) are in completing (Capricorn) these same 9th house activities – faith, philosophy, religion and all pursuits of the higher mind.

His Mercury placement, sittting on his MC (conjunct less than 3 degrees), shows that communications will figure strongly in his career (10th). Combine that with the Aries Point, with Mercury in 1 degree of Cap – a cardinal sign, and we see a man who is destined to use his communications, particularly as it relates to his spirituality, in his career and to achieve prominence.

Mercury is also in incredibly tight aspect (almost exact at 0 degrees, 36 minutes) trine Uranus in 0 degrees, 27 minutes of Virgo in the 6th house. In fact, this is the tightest major aspect in his chart. John’s freedom (Uranus) is found in examining (Virgo) and creating (Leo – which I am including since Uranus is on the cusp) through service to others – the work he has got to do (6th house). The wonderful trine between Mercury and Uranus brings the expansion of these two planets, a way for John to find freedom for himself by communicating to others and being of service to others about all of the spiritual beliefs that are important to him.

Another thing to note, is that his natal Uranus is retrograde, meaning that he has a strong personal desire to reform and to create change – as it relates to the unconscious. Don’t you believe that John’s work as a psychic medium is important to him as a means of communicating his beliefs and creating change in the world? ;) To quote from the “Astrologer’s Handbook”: Mercury in the 9th favorably aspected, especially if it aspects Uranus, Neptune or Pluto, can give prophetic insight into the future.” Is is possible (I haven’t looked at transits yet!) that John should focus on bringing his own psychic abilities more into his work, to share his prophetic insights? It was fascinating to me how he did blend, and make distinction, in his workshop between his psychic and mediumship abilities.

His Mercury is also part of an incredible stellium in the 9th, with Sun and Mars, all within a 4 degree orb. Also sitting in the 9th, is his Venus, which is 7 degrees conjunct Mars. The Mercury conjunction to Sun and Mars brings a boldness to his communications. He doesn’t mince words, just tells it like it is. But his communications (Mercury) are linked inseparably from who he is (Sun) and I think he will be able to do even more than radio shows in terms of media communication. Is there a John Holland TV show out there in the future? :hmm:

I want to look at one transit in particular. On 1/1/07 Pluto will be at 27 degrees Sagittarius, transiting John’s 9th house. It will exactly conjunct his Sun at 28 degrees, 35 minutes Sag on 2/23/07 for the first hit. If I did this correctly, Pluto will make 5 hits in total! The other hits are 5/10/07, 12/17/07, 8/21/08 and 9/28/08. What does this all mean? Pluto, the planet of transformation is exactly hitting his Sun, his self, his identity and his purpose for being in this lifetime. In our Transits book, the author says that under this transit she knew her life was changing, but had no idea what the outcome would be. When Pluto was in opposition to my natal Sun, I moved cross-country with my family, something I never in a million years would have dreamed would happen. The author says that if your life is moving in the right direction that you “can be lifted out of patterns that have been established for many years and re-birth yourself into a completely different lifestyle.” Well, I know what happened to me during my Pluto/Sun transit…I wonder what will happen to John? A move to the West coast perhaps? Never say never. (Seattle is a great place to live!)

    A few more things:

North Node in the 5th (from Idiot’s guide) – John is learning about creativity, often a dreamer who is apart from the crowd (look at the work he does!), watching everyone else. He needs to learn the importance of hopes or wishes and then using them to create his own destiny! With a North Node in Leo, John has already developed compassion, intuition, and strong sensitivity to others. (I’d say!) His lesson is to share his love and heart with others, through generous and noble leadership!

His karma, as well as his fear (Saturn), is to complete (Capricorn) groups (11th). He possibly has an instinctive fear of groups (didn’t he say he was shy?) but working with groups is extremely important to his karma, to the work that he is here to do in this lifetime.

That’s all for now. Fascinating, I could write forever. I apologize for jumping around (Sun and Mercury in Gemini!) but it’s the way I think! Can’t wait to read tonight’s chat!

    Blessings!:hearts:

Thanks ladies for your fabulous insights. Carolyn, I must say, I couldn’t have done a better job myself explaining all the Jupiter energy – thank you for choosing to explore this transit in such depth for us. It will be a phenomenal time for John for sure!

Beth, your insights were spot on. Well done! I quoted your comment above because you are actually alluding to the major transformation I see happening in John’s life over the next several years. His identity has been under a process of transformation already as we can see that the ruler of his Ascendant (Mars) is currently conjunct Pluto. This marked the beginning of a tornado of changes in John’s life.

I have plenty of my own predictions to post about his Pluto-Sun transit and what it may mean for him (and yes he does have 5 hits – not a common occurence – the norm is 3) and I can’t wait to share this with you in a couple of hours. In addition, the Pluto transit to his Mercury at the AP and then his MC will culminate in something phenomenal. I don’t think even John is prepared for what his future will bring. ;)

We haven’t covered progressions or arcs yet, but I assure you he has some stellar arcs happening that can help us pinpoint with a bit more accuracy the timing of all these life changing events. And the arcs tell a story of their own. But more on that later…

Jamie – beautifully done! This is exactly what I felt when I saw this square. I am close to it I admit because I personally have a Jupiter-Neptune square that wraps into a mutual reception in my chart so I am very familiar with this energy. For John it very much is expressed in the higher evolved way.

I’m so proud of my students – you guys are the best!

And the 5 hits…I had to make sure I had my new reading glasses on for that one. I never heard of 5 hits…poor guy! I’m glad you liked what Carolyn did on the Jupiter transit because I was amazed by my fellow classmate’s interpretations once again…I really think she was an astrologer in a past life!!:laff2:

I really wish I could join you tonight but instead I will be training with a group of black belts for 2.5 hours in preparation for my next karate test! So you may be having a lot more fun than I will, but I will be learning too.

I’ll catch the chat later tonight and look forward to your predictions. I don’t think John had any idea what would happen when he nonchalantly said…oh, sure I was born December 20….:laff:. And I didn’t even get into all his relationship issues – but I’m sure you will!

Look at how young you are and you are teaching people 1 to 2 decades older than you! I’m 12 years older than you and you are shining a light in my darkness.:bulb: Ye of little faith. :tsktsk: You teach something more significant than reading and arithmetic. You teach people how to “grow into their souls”! I am honored to be a student of yours because I believe that you have true faith. I realize that your “earth” age is 32 but your soul is ancient and very wise. Thanks for helping me evolve to my full potential. There is no greater gift. :tissue:
