 You’re up, Laura!
Your turn, Stephanie!
This Major Arcana card embodies the old riddle, “What stands on 4 legs in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 3 in the evening?”
No, but you’re close. Think of what said that riddle.
Oy, of course … it’s the riddle of the Sphinx … The Chariot and the Wheel of Fortune both have Spinxes.
The 10 of Pentacles!
Which shows all stages of being human –
Who in the morning of his life is a baby and crawls on 4 legs. In the afternoon of their life they are adults and walk around on two legs, and in the evening of their life they are elderly and get around with the help of a cane.
Hi:wave: Pam … while I agree with you that the 10 of pentacles most closely emodies the Sphinx’ riddle as you so aptly described, it’s not a major arcana card, and Stephanie’s clarification in response to my answer of “The Hermit” – which I picked because it emodied the final phase of the riddle – indicated that the speaker of the riddle was what she was looking for. So Steph … settle it for us, LOL.
Crap forgot about the Wheel of Fortune, but I’ll give it to Carolyn because she named both of them with sphinxs. I was going for the Chariot.
Pam, “cookie” points go to you for pointing out the 10 of Pentacles, and you’re right. But I did say Major Arcana card because I know that the 10 of Pentacles does embody the complete human life cycle. Remind me if I ever meet you in person, I owe you a cookie!! :)
oh DUH! *slaps self* so much for my “Reading Comprehension score”!!! :goofy:
LOL! We’ll forgive ya. Its still early. Coffee? :coffee:
