Take a “wee” look at – Joshua –

Corn ball flick but it’ll make you feel good.

Joshua is seemingly everywhere at once, making the kind of impression that few have ever felt. But it is exactly this influence that creates a division between the stubbornly orthodox Father Tardone and the well-meaning but less-than-confident Father Pat, two priests who believe very strongly in the same thing, but in very different ways.

“Sometimes you gotta’ tear something down to build it back up again.”

Just punch Joshua into your search – It’ll come up!

Dragonfly has to be my favorite. Taking a complete skeptic and showing him the way…..it can’t get any better than that.

I loved the ending too, but I wish they would have shown the other character’s reactions to his ‘discovery.’ Would have shut them right up, especially Kathy Bate’s character. So what if she saw a field of one petal daisies? How could she think she was crazy?

Anyway, that’s my favorite, and I’ll watch it a hundred times. If it’s on my TV, it’s being watched.:clink:

My favorites would have to be “Frequency” – it really hit home since my hubby is a firefighter, “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “City of Angels” ( I sure hope my angel looks like Nic Cage – LOL!):lwink:

Great thread Tina!. Most of my favorites have already been posted, but I will list them here as kind of a summary, too. Of course, Ghost (I own a copy), Contact, Dragonfly, Always, Somewhere in Time, Sixth Sense, Signs, Michael, Cocoon, Phenomenon, Field of Dreams, and Heaven Can Wait. I recently rented Pay it Forward, because that ÒterminologyÓ is creeping into everyday language and I wanted to know more about it. Great movie, very sad, but good Òteacher-studentÓ interaction too.

For members who have been around a while, remember the thread on our favorite ADC/CAV music? Maybe we could find that thread for the newcomers to add their favorites. What do you think?

    Peace,
    POOH

Sounds like a plan! :D I’ll find that thread and give it a *bump* — hey, isn’t that a song, too? Oh, never mind! Talk about being WAY off-topic… :lwink:

Mine is The Sixth Sense with Bruce Willis.
I had no idea that he died. Not until the very end. Then when the movie takes him through his life and it is SO obvious why people did not respond to him or his actions. Especially his wife.

Sure it was labeled a Thriller, and the graphics were sometimes gorry. The message was so clear.

Nobody mentioned “The Haunting of Lisa” ….which sticks right to the script.

    Also….”Flatliners” and “Stir of Echoes”

Hooray! Someone else who’s seen “Truly, Madly, Deeply”!
Most all the other movies mentioned got a “me, too” response except for “Truly, Madly, Deeply”. :’-(
I’ve watched it several times over and it always gets to me! Wouldn’t you agree that it is definitely a movie worth watching?

Did anyone else regularly watch ‘Mysterious Ways’? Sometimes it would have subject matter like ADC. It was filmed here in Vancouver but I never saw them filming. I like the lead actor, I just realized he’s the one married to Natalie M. from Dixie Chicks, lucky lady!

Bye the way, who is in Truly, Madly Deeply? Don’t know that one, might have to rent it.

“Truly, Madly, Deeply” stars Alan Rickman and Juliette Stevenson.
Let me know what your opinion if/when you watch it!

Yes tinkster, I most definetly recommend renting Truly, Madly, Deeply! It is a British film with a different humor than Hollywood, but don’t be put off by that. My husband wasn’t sure about getting it, but he enjoyed it as much as I did.

All these are such good movies. Most of them I have seen, a lot I haven’t. I tend to fall asleep watching TV!
I have one to add though, Hope it isn’t a repeat! My son made me watch it, and although he focused on the Aliens- I truly believe that it was all about Spirituality. It is called

I am glad that my son made me watch it. It may not be high on my list, but it was one of the last movies I have watched.

    Hi, Silly –
I’m with you on the movie “Signs”! I had mentioned it in an earlier post saying that I felt it was a worthwhile film… not so much because of the alien thing, but because of the ending during which all the “coincidences” are shown to exist for a reason. And Mel Gibson is not difficult to watch either!!

My favourite is the Michael Keaton film, ‘Jack Frost’. My daughter got the DVD from me last christmas and we love it. Also, Ghost is one of my favourites, I know that one has already been posted.
