Right…and that’s why I suggested this:
this review of the interview, in terms of journalistic integrity.
Which shows that you are correct in your assumptions about editing.

Ok, I guess I’ve had enough fun at EvovleNow’s expense, and we can close this chapter of another crackpot’s attempt to release a little stress on us :)
Thanks for letting me vent, everyone :)

Here’s what disturbed me the most about that board: They did a poll on “Forbidden subjects” and 23 out of 318 (7.23% ) voted to “Discuss/Advocate Child Pornography”. No age verification needed for the board, beyond clicking that you’re either younger or older than 13. To each his own I suppose, they accuse me of hating free speech, but I say keep…Read More

You know what’s even funnier? The post at JREF where EvolveNow tells them what they did here, and my “response”, and even one of the JREF’ers say “that was stupid.”

The red part of the post is the orignal post from “EvolveNow” (Evolve FROM what, I wonder?) and the rest is my own “embellishemnt” of what I perceived to be as Paul Harvey would say “the REST of the story.

I’m sorry (yet not! LOL) you had to see that. I usually take the high road too, and just delete this kind of fluff (pocket lint?) but this time I wanted to shine a light on this kind of thing.

I’m always happy when some cynic takes the time to post this nonsense. It means we kept him off the streets for that time….

I know this is already long, but check this out too:
A related movement in the philosophy of science has its roots in feminism. Feminist scientists such as Bleier (¡984), Harding (¡986, ¡987) and Keller (¡983) see modern science as an uncompromising expression of androcentric or “masculine” values. For example, scientists are essentially in pur…Read More

Laura Ballweg, A high school English teacher, and “former card carrying member of CSICOP” used the Dateline segment on John Edward to teach her young students a lesson in journalistic integrity:

Nickell’s article is full of holes, illogical conclusions, based on false assumptions and improper expectations. He has no problem accusing John Edward of weaseling and pretending, and will not allow the reader to consider that even if John is NOT speaking to the dead, he is convinced HIMSELF that he is. No, Edward can’t possibly believe, based on…Read More

I’m only leaving this post here, as an example of how fundamentalist religion uses fear to control their flock, and as an opportunity to comment on that.
irishshillegagh’s post above, is a clear example of the misinformed speaking about the subject of scrying, hoping to cause the same fear and dread she feels in her own heart and at the same…Read More

We don’t discuss other psychics or mediums, as to whether or not they’re “real”.

Ditto, my belief is that psychic skills are a spiritual “gift” (even though we all have the same potential to learn to use those psychic skills) and that the ability cannot be used for purposes of material gain.
For instance, John Edward does he what he does for the person, so they can have healing and growth. Not so the person can find the will.

I think your friend is taking advantage of the fact that you didn’t see the program. As the webmaster of this and JohnEdwardFriends.org, and a person who wishes to support John’s work, I make it my business to catch everything I can that airs about John. Some of what you describe, could be the Dateline interview done some time ago, but not…Read More

Isn’t it about time ‘skeptics’ and ‘believers’ found some common ground, they have a lot to offer each other.
You’re so right about that. Let’s move forward. :)
